Grand Hyatt Shanghai

I stayed in Club Deluxe River Room including free lounge for 2 nights. My room is 6515 on 65th floor with excellence view of the pearl tower and the bund. Room looked old, not more luxury as 5-star but it’s ok. I asked the front to prepare the non-smoking room with no smell, air purify cleaning before check-in so there is no cigarette smell in the room. The lounge on 83rd floor is great. I can have free breakfast and dinner in the lounge. They also have smoked salmon for the meal so it’s great. The price of Club Deluxe room is all including. The location is good. I walked to see Shanghai Ocean Aquarium and the pearl tower. In the evening, I walked to The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel and got the tram through the tunnel under the river to the bund. It’s not the best hotel in Shanghai but it’s good for me with the great panorama view room with free lounge. I recommended this type of Club Deluxe River Room.

Grand Hyatt has an amazing atrium and most rooms have great views (I’ve stayed in six rooms so far). It’s a great luxurious hotel when you book one room but be careful if you want to book 2 rooms or more. In June 2025 when I booked 2 rooms and requested connecting or nearby rooms. I’ve got rooms on different floors. This time when I made this same request (during booking), it’s the same situation at reception again. It seems reservation department do not care. When you turn up at check-in, they try their best to find a best available room for you but never prepare ahead. This was good during my first stays because we did get fantastic rooms. But this time when travelling with kids, they have to downgrade us from club floor to two connection rooms which are worn and depressive because they didn’t bother to reserve in advance. Overall I highly recommend this hotel when you travel as a pair or alone. But better for IHG hotels when you travelling with family. IHG prepare rooms well in advance but Hyatt won’t prepare but just a matter of luck. o

We stayed at the Hyatt Hotel for one night with our 4-year-old child and had a wonderful experience. The hotel kindly provided a comfortable extra bed for our child, which made our stay much more convenient.Our room was on the 77th floor and offered a stunning view — absolutely amazing. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable.We really enjoyed the breakfast. It is divided into two areas: European and Asian cuisine. We chose the European section and everything was delicious, fresh, and well prepared. There was a good variety of food and more than enough to choose from.The service was excellent — staff were friendly, attentive, and professional.

Staying right inside the Jin Mao Tower—one of the three iconic skyscrapers that define the city skyline—was a truly special experience. There is a unique charm to living in such a legendary landmark, and the high-rise views from the room were simply breathtaking.||||Unbeatable Location & Connectivity: The location is functionally perfect. Having a mall right downstairs is convenient, but the real highlight is the direct underground access. You can easily walk to the metro station and other neighboring shopping centers through the connected tunnels without ever stepping outside—extremely practical and efficient.||||Exceptional Service & Elite Recognition: The service standard here is impressively high. As an elite member, the recognition and benefits provided were comprehensive, thoughtful, and well-executed. The team truly knows how to take care of their loyal guests. A special mention to Ms. Wang Qian and Mr. Ryan in the Club Lounge for their professionalism and helpful assistance throughout my stay.||||If you are looking for a hotel that combines the experience of staying in a landmark skyscraper with excellent connectivity and superior service, this is the place to be.

Love this hotel. The rooms are always clean and spacious, with a beautiful floor to ceiling view over Shanghai. The location is near the metro and one can easily access a taxi from the hotel. Anyone I've ever brought to this hotel has always been impressed.||My only complaint, and why this is four stars instead o five, is the checking in and checking out process. Checking in always takes an hour with a line to the elevator. A hotel with dozens of floors should have more than two people working the front desk. Or allow for auto check-in. When checking in, budget your time accordingly, because I have missed dinner reservations before due to the wait to check-in.

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai for a whole week. All the hotel staff were incredibly dedicated, warm, and proactive in greeting us and assisting with any requests. The Grand Club offered ample food and beverages and readily arranged meeting rooms for us. Staying for a week in one of Shanghai's iconic skyscrapers was an absolute treat! Special thanks to the cleaning staff on the 82nd floor for their meticulous twice-daily cleaning and turndown service. We also want to thank Feng Wenwen, a server at the buffet restaurant on the 56th floor, for her enthusiastic and attentive service and assistance. And the incredibly popular seafood buffet dinner is definitely the best in Shanghai!

Stunning Architecture, but Overall Overpriced Experience What I Loved Most: The building itself is absolutely breathtaking - both from the outside and the interior atrium. We also enjoyed access to the Club Lounge, where the view of the Bund and the Pearl Tower during the evening drinks was definitely a highlight (self-serve cocktails were a fun surprise😅). The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was good. What I Didn’t Like: Our room, despite being upgraded, had a very strong cigarette smell that made it uncomfortable to stay in - it felt heavily smoked-in. The furnishings and equipment feel dated, and overall service fell short of expectations for a luxury hotel: limited English communication, no assistance with luggage, and no escort to the room. While the architecture is impressive, the experience as a whole felt overpriced, and I would choose a different hotel on my next visit.

Spend five nights at river facing suites with my family. Rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable including the roll away bed. Breakfast has a lot of choices both eastern and western. Tastes great. Everyday with plenty of bottled water. Grand club staff and other staff are very helpful. Wonderful stay. Highly recommended
