We’ve stayed at the Grand Hyatt Vail three times now, and every visit just confirms it: this is our favorite hotel in the entire Hyatt network. There’s something so special about this place—the stunning mountain setting, the cozy yet luxurious vibe, and those incredible views—but what keeps pulling us back is the people. The staff here are simply wonderful. From the moment you arrive, everyone—from the valets to the front desk to housekeeping—greets you with genuine warmth and remembers little details from previous stays. It always feels like coming home. What really stands out, though, is the team across the restaurants and bars. At Gessner, the servers are attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The breakfast crew is just as great, keeping things smooth even when it’s busy, and the folks at Gore Creek Market are quick and kind when you’re grabbing something casual. It’s rare to find a hotel where the service feels this consistent and heartfelt across the board. The staff truly make the Grand Hyatt Vail feel like more than just a resort—they make it feel personal. We’re already looking forward to trip number four. If you’re heading to Vail, stay here. You won’t want to stay anywhere else.

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 3 nights with my spouse for my birthday weekend. I booked through AMEX FHR and the benefits were great. Some of the furniture in the room had lots of wear and tear and could use a touch up but besides that, we had a great stay! The property was well taken care of and had a really great layout. All of the staff that we encountered from the front desk receptionist, valet/bag assistance, bar, house keepers, and even ski valet were all amazing and extremely friendly. We will definitely be coming back and will recommend to friends and family!

I’m currently staying at the Grand Hyatt Vail, and I was thoroughly impressed by the level of service from the moment I arrived. Check-in was handled by Wendy, who was absolutely amazing. She greeted me with genuine warmth, made me feel immediately welcomed, and ensured the process was smooth and effortless. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail set the tone for a wonderful stay. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. However, it was Wendy’s exceptional service that truly stood out and elevated the entire experience. I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Vail, and I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Wendy for making my visit memorable. Her outstanding hospitality is a true asset to the hotel.

Google
Wonderful stay for two nights for an industry event. There was fresh snowfall which made the setting a winter wonderland. The coffee machine was well stocked and I loved the shower pressure and bathroom design. The event spaces are exceptional and the staff was super helpful. Their banquet captain was on his A game with checking table placements before seating. The view from the hot tub and treadmill to the river is great and I look forward to staying here again. I am SO glad they extended the group code rate and let me lock in a solid retreat. Bravo.

Had a great stay here in the middle of December for our family of 3. The location, shuttle, breakfast and our room were all great. The staff were so kind and friendly to our toddler as well. We really enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to stay again in the future. Thank you all!

Google
The Grand Hyatt Vail is a special place. Maybe it's because of its location, secluded on its own, away from town, nestled in the woods along the beautiful Gore Creek. Maybe it is all of the amenities - the place has its own ski lift (!), ski valet, ski and snowboard rental shop, spa, movie theater, huge outdoor stone hot tub (that is actually hot!), heated outdoor pool, and kids game room. Maybe it's the large, beautiful rooms with well-made furniture, huge marble baths with excellent water pressure in the shower, and charming balconies with chairs and table facing the creek and mountain. Maybe it's the wonderful and friendly people who work here. Maybe it's all of the attention to little details, like the water filling stations throughout the property, including those right next to the ice machines, the daily room service that comes even if you don't leave your room until early afternoon, and the free chocolate chip cookies every afternoon. Then there is the free shuttle into Vail Village and Lionshead that runs every 10 minutes. The 2 great full-service restaurants on site, as well as a quick-service market with sandwiches and baked goods. I can't say enough good things about this place. This is my husband's and my second year in a row staying here and we plan on coming back!

Google
This property is one of my all time favorites! We try to get here annually. Its brand of simple, accessible elegance fits my wife and my preferred mode of travel. As an example and a simple touch they have branded dog treats that our Two Border Collies Loved! So much so that we ended buying a years worth from Neoteric Brands, the company that supplies them. Elegance, accessibility and considerate touches make this one of the best places in Vail to stay any season.

Google
Wonderful hotel and exceptional service throughout our trip. Smores, heated pool, hot tub and game room were a hit with our son. Great drink recommendations from the bartenders each night and a relaxed vibe to enjoy them in. The shuttle to Lionshead and Vail Villiage made transport to the slopes easy. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
This place was just okay. They turned an outdoor area into a wedding dance floor and played deafening music all night past 10 pm. The front desk told me the music would stop at 9, but it didn't, and they said they couldn't move me. I totally get it, there will be a wedding, but setting out dancefloors right outside the rooms is crazy.

Yelp
Great property located in Vail. We visited in the off season, but GH Vail seems to have direct access to the lifts. It is not directly located in Vail Village, but it is a quick drive or you could take the shuttle. Small price to pay for the offering. + Breakfast. Everything on offer was delicious. There was a curated buffet and we ordered some stuff off the menu as well. Laundry. There is complimentary laundry located on the amenity level which was convenient. Rooms. Our suite on the top floor was renovated and quiet. The bathroom was delightful like other refreshed Grand Hyatts.

Yelp
Loved our recent stay at Grand Hyatt - Vail. Check-in was smooth , Vaibhav checked us in and acknowledged our loyalty status with Hyatt and upgraded us to a beautiful Creek and Mountain View Suite. The hotel is located just outside of Vail Village with a shuttle that runs to the village every 15 minutes. It has a beautiful Pool area (one of the best Pools in Colorado - that is heated perfectly even for cold days). They also have couple of very good restaurants on site including a Michelin star Japanese restaurant. We have been to Vail a few times and stayed at several resorts but this one definitely tops most if not all of them. We will be back.

Yelp
We had the best experience at Grand Hyatt Vail. My bf booked one of the upgraded king rooms with a huge balcony and a view of the mountains and river! We drank our morning coffee out there. We were served complimentary champagne and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was sparkling clean. We felt like royalty! The only downside was valet parking was offered at I believe $55 per day, but the hotel offered free shuttle rides to Lionshead and Vail Village which made up for it. I would definitely stay here again! 5 stars!
google avatar

Yelp
The rooms perfect and comfortable. Chairlift right outside hotel doors. Property is huge, service is fine. Hotel is family friendly at a mid-price point so is overrun with kids. Hotel is also dog friendly. So, great spot but...

Yelp
Wow! This hotel was definitely 5 stars for us! We LOVED our two night staycation at the Grand Hyatt Vail. Literally this hotel is surrounded by gorgeous Rocky Mountains with a direct lift up to the mountains where you can ski down the mountain right to the hotel. The hotel was so family friendly and had lots of wonderful activities. They had a wonderful movie night with holiday movies every night, complimentary iceskating and free hot cocoa and smores. They had a complimentary shuttle going into lions head and vail village. The hotel restaurants were good and a great selection of food especially for breakfast! The room was spacious and amazing! We had a Mountain View room which the views were breathtaking. The hotel is a bit pricy but would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Let me start off by saying they know how to treat a globalist right. Robert checked me in and acknowledged the benefits promptly. He generously upgraded me to a suite on the side of mountain. Not all rooms are created a like. While our room was quite spacious and easily could sleep 6, I'm more of a snob for views so I'd defer to a non suite, mountain facing room, with a balcony. The views are great. The pool and hot tub gets a lot usage but is quite picturesque, with the river and greenery. Complimentary valet parking with unlimited in and out privileges in addition to a nice shuttle which has real time tracking. The shuttle was really reliable and comes every fifteen or so minutes. Four pm checkout was offered proactively. The common areas are beautifully renovated. Hard and soft product are both a hit. Look forward to coming back in the winter as it's less than two hours away from RiNo.

Giacomo M.

Yelp
I honestly expected more for the price. We paid $415 for one night, in the middle of summer -- no snow, no winter activities, nothing going on -- and the room didn't even have any basic amenities. The minibar was completely empty, not even a complimentary bottle of water. To make it worse, we got woken up at 9 a.m. by housekeeping knocking on the door. For what we paid, you'd expect at least some level of comfort and consideration for guests' privacy. Definitely not worth the price, and I wouldn't stay here again.

Yelp
Beautiful dining area, polite, welcoming and friendly front desk hostess and server. Not many options to choose from. Really limits options to order but that may be their speciality. Nice presentation, good starters. But hard to find place surprisingly location wise.

Yelp
Some friends of ours were staying here. It's fine. We came for dinner and a visit. If I needed accommodations in Vail, I might choose a boutique hotel or bookable residence. This location was nice, but not amazing. It felt a little busy in an inattentive way. The food was fine.

Yelp
We spent a week at the Grand Hyatt Vail, overall, it did make for a memorable getaway. This place has come with its major pros and some minor cons, based on which I've awarded it 4 stars. What we loved: - Our room was remarkably stunning. We stayed in a deluxe king suite, and boy, it was fantastic. The bathroom exclaimed luxury with a sprawling free-standing tub, giving it a rather regal touch. - The bed in our room deserves a special shoutout. It was quite possibly one of the most comfortable ones I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. - The hotel's staff deserves a pat on the back. They are prompt and will gladly bring you anything you need right to your room. - Another major perk, especially for ski enthusiasts, was the ski lift right within the hotel premises. This made our ski adventures a lot more convenient. Areas for Improvement: - At times, it seemed like the staff and housekeeping were a bit overwhelmed. It's understandable considering the size of the hotel, but I feel this aspect could be managed better. - The hotel advertises a private SUV shuttle which unfortunately wasn't running during our stay. On inquiring, we were told that they were short-staffed to drive the shuttle, quite disappointing because the Grand Hyatt is not close to Vail's shops or restaurants. - Also, Venture sports running the ski valet wasn't quite a pleasing experience. Barring their unorganized process which lead to our boots being lost for about 30 minutes, the place was constantly bustling with chaos. Lastly, for a property of this level, it was annoying to find that one out of two hot tubs were not functioning and the pool heater was broken. Thankfully the 1 functioning hot tub was big enough to fit about 20 people. In sum, despite a couple of minor hitches, we had a lovely stay at the Grand Hyatt Vail, thanks to its nice rooms and easy access lift. It has room for improvement for sure, but it still makes for a pretty awesome choice when in Vail.

Yelp
It's really nice, staff is incredibly friendly, but it's not the Park Hyatt at Beaver (more on that later). It's "on" the mountain, but you can't see any of the runs and you need to shuttle/drive to get to Lionshead or Vail Village (it's a short ride on a free shuttle of 5 min - but you can't walk in the winter). There is ski rental place in house (expensive $480 for 2 for 3 days & I had my own boots), but they do offer valet service (put your shoes in bins under benches). With lift 20 right out the door (also a lift ticket office). But it's a really nice property w great service. We had breakfast each morning w excellent service (again expensive at $40 a person). Valets are very friendly and helpful. And while we prefer to ski Beaver it's only a 20 min drive away. Two hot tubs (liked the one by itself better), a pool & excellent gym. I didn't go to the spa but had to laugh at the $70 a day to rent a theragun (love mine). I would absolutely stay here again, but like I said it's not the Park at Beaver. That property is located on the mountain but has views of all the ski runs, nicer rooms & a much better bar & breakfast. But for the price (points) the Grand was absolutely worth it & I would stay here again.

Yelp
An excellent Hyatt property that doesn't decide to put forth minimal effort because it has a captive audience for ski-in/ski-out, like its sibling down the street in Beaver Creek has been increasingly doing the past few seasons. Their room sizes and layouts are also preferable to that property; for example, standard suites including a door-separated bedroom, which is very nice if you have kids/family you'd prefer having a door between. I've just completed my fifth ski season in a row that included one or more stays here. This property continues to take points reservations at peak season, continues to let you utilize suite upgrade awards, and continues to offer excellent amenities and customer service. Their ski valet is also a model of organization and process. Here's how the ski valet works. Check-in, you're assigned a numbered bench, your boots show up within a minute or two and are dry and warm because their drying equipment actually works, you go outside to alphabetically organized racks and grab your skis. You're in and out quickly and on to doing what you care about, skiing. Their breakfast buffet is excellent, with a huge variety of options, and even better if you're a Globalist and enjoying it free of charge. They have a great spa and pool. My wife and daughter have had their nails done or re-done here, and both said it was great. The valet parking attendants are fast and attentive. They have a fast and frequent shuttle service to both Vail village proper, and Lionshead. There's a supermarket across the interstate that's a quick and easy drive (or Uber ride) to if you need supplies.

Yelp
Amazing hotel with perfect creek side suites, we celebrated my husband's birthday here and he was super happy with the ambience and they have the best sushi restaurant in Colorado

Yelp
Grand Hyatt are absolute stars! Not only is it a beautiful hotel and a great value but when I had some issues and had to cancel when a refund was not owed -- they heard my story and out of the goodness of their heart offered a full refund -- which they did not have to do. I've stayed at several properties in Vail before, which I visit regularly but -- Hyatt treated me like a king -- I will recommend them to everyone I know. Not only a great hotel, but treat customers like human beings. Vail Hyatt all the way! And thank YOU!

Yelp
We were blessed to be able to host our company's big 10year anniversary celebration with all its employee's at the Hyatt Vail. And let me tell you there were 73 of us and the entire 5 day experience went flawless. One of the best hotels we've stayed in the Colorado area hands-down! The location is absolutely stunning as it sits nestled beneath the Vail/Lionshead mountain area and the gorgeous Gore Creek. I look forward to coming back here and enjoy the impeccable service, the pool and fireplace seating all have perfect views of rolling of Aspens. The spa area is very nice quiet and intimate. The workout area is like nothing I have experienced in my travels. They had everything you can think of including peloton's, and those virtual wall workouts, private studio room, state of the art equipment everywhere. We had a bottle of wine and chocolates and a note waiting for us in our room with wine glasses ready to go. Nespresso coffee machines and espresso drink-ware in every room as well. When I say no detail left behind in the lux suite we stayed in, I mean it. Room service daily which is so welcome after long afternoons out doing mountain activities. There's a little café bistro coffee house on site that makes great coffee and has little gifts/grocery items you might need, plus there's nonstop shuttle service to a Lionshead and Vail Village. You can also walk the trail or bike back-and-forth along the Gore creek to Lionshead Village in 15 mins which is so beautiful and peaceful. Cannot say enough about Hyatt Vail and their team! Shout out to the bar staff that took care of all of us nightly - making sure they had my favorite "Di Lenardo" Pinot Grigio for me every night! Even hooked me up at our special dinner dance party with a complimentary bottle. They are installing a new sushi restaurant and making some upgrades to the spa area so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back! Great couples getaway, girls trip or business retreat! Can't recommend this hotel enough!

Yelp
The location is great, they have shuttles to town, and the service was friendly and wanting to help. The issues we encountered should have never happened at a Grand Hyatt and there was no accommodation for the huge inconvenience including needing to switch rooms. We checked in in the evening and went to dinner. Upon arriving in the room and trying to shower I had to let it run for 10 minutes and the water never got really hot. The next day we were showering in the afternoon and towards the end of my shower the water got cold. My husband said we needed to get a new room this won't be fixed, ugh we had to move all the snow gear. The bed was worn out and so soft we both had back pain. The pillows were super soft and unsupportive. The towels looked like rags, dingy, and like sandpaper. This is not acceptable for a Grand Hyatt. When we went to look at different rooms, we saw that the mountain-facing premium rooms were all very different. Some did not have balconies, were smaller, and had much smaller bathrooms. This is a huge issue since they charge the same for them but they are nowhere near being equal in size and view. We were here in the end of season and our room was around $300 but in high season these rooms go for $800+ for that price I would expect an amazing experience. If this is what Hyatt is becoming we may need to rethink our loyalty program.

Yelp
Valet - very fast service! Conrad was quick with gear and very polite. Front desk - front desk has a designated World of Hyatt desk for check in, but wasn't exclusive. Room - 2 Queen Mountain View room was clean and smelled fresh. The view was amazing! New Years Party - we had planned our New Years Eve around the Lounge Party that was supposed to be hosted by the hotel. Less than 24 hours before the party, we were notified that the party was cancelled due to COVID concerns. Very inconvenient and inconsistent....masks were required to enter the bar area, yet once in the bar drinking masks were not worn....instead of mandating, how about treating guests like adults and letting us make our own decisions. Breakfast was the same....wear a mask to be placed on the list, but once seated, masks were no longer being worn. Pool/Jacuzzi - perfect temperature! Beautiful view. The seats were frozen which made it difficult to relax after swimming or to sit and roast marshmallows. Overall, the stay was good and the property was what we expected!

Yelp
We had a lovely experience here! The staff are all so helpful with luggage, skis and getting us settled! We enjoyed our Mountain View room ! The market and kids area were great to play games and enjoy snacks. The bus into town and to ski was timely and so easy and the ski valet was perfect. We loved the cookies and milk in the afternoon. We will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
This place is NOT worth the 5 star ratings we saw to decide on this property. The property is beautiful and right by the river. Great walking areas. Unfortunately, our room had no views of it. Hotel is VERY basic. Nothing "resort-ish" or 5 star about this property. Pillows were decent, but there's semen stains on the mini couch in the room (not sitting on that!) Last night while laying in bed trying to relax and watch TV, the power went out and flickered at least 3 times! We've walked in and out of our room at least 5 times throughout the day and there's room service plates/wine glasses just laying in the hall from breakfast (hence all the bacon and eggs on the plate) and it's 6pm right now! They've been there all day! Taking a shower this morning I wasn't sure if the pressure was going to stop or what because you could feel it fade throughout my 10 min shower. $50 a night to park plus resort fees!? What resort? They do have free shuttle services to and from the shopping villages. There's a few fire pits and a warm pool and hot tub outside. Definitely not worth the money we paid.
google avatar

Charles M.

Yelp
Stayed in a 4-room condo at The Vail Residences at Cascade Village , connected to the Grand Hyatt. The condo was incredible and couldn't believe we got the accommodation at that price point. Plenty of beds and sleeping situations, each with their own feature. Some had sliding doors straight out to the Creek and path that connects and you can walk/bike all the way to Vail Village. We were steps away from the main Grand Hyatt resort which was beautiful in its own right. Definitely plan to spend time at the pool and hot tub. Although, the jacuzzi seemed like it could have used a bit of a cleaning. Gym was clean and had tons of state of the art equipment available.
google avatar

Yelp
Pros: 1) nice and updated, rooms are clean, everyone is overworked and somehow can still be really nice. 2) food is amazing 3) ski valet service is so nice 4) views are amazing 5) plenty of activities 6) shuttle to lifts 7) ski in and out lift available during peak season Cons: 1) there are none I really like this place more than the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.
google avatar

Fanny W.

Yelp
PROS: ++ Ski in, ski out. Amazing. Better than The Westin in Whistler (which was already pretty damn good). + Humidifier in room so your nostrils don't dry up too crazy + Ski valet will take your boots and skis, so when you're ready, your boots will be waiting downstairs WARMED and the skis are right outside on the rack, RIGHT NEXT TO THE CHAIRLIFT!! + Bed was comfy, bathroom shower was amazing but leaky-ish CONS: - Windows to the rooms do not open. They removed all the handles. I'm not sure why, especially during COVID when we wanted to ventilate the room. Things Worth Noting: They have a Moet Chandon Champagne VENDING MACHINE. The restaurant downstairs is operating, so when you walk in, you'll see a lot of folks eating their meals or having drinks. It was rather uncomfortable, but thankfully, we had our N95s.
google avatar

Yelp
We highly recommend this hotel & it's location. The property was very clean & the view of the creek was beautiful! Their staff was very kind from the reservations to the bell men. We rented e-bikes on property & rode along the creek past the village through the golf courses! I really liked sitting on the patio & meeting the other guests! They're also dog friendly! Their shuttle saved us on driving & parking which was so convenient!

Yelp
How exciting is it that Hyatt has expanded to the high-country?! FINALLY. This acquisition is still in process but what a gem of a property. It's stunning and nestled along the river and chair lift. The lobby has a Moët vending machine - hello this is amazing and I need one. The restaurant is decent - the breakfast needs work but let's give them a bit to figure it out before basing my review on that alone. The pool is gorgeous and picture perfect where the food and bar is much better. They offer a yappy hour for dogs/humans to mingle and offer BBQ. This is too cute and a fun way to integrate the pet-friendly feature. The rooms are my favorite! The finish level and colors are pleasing. Some have balconies and others don't. Honestly the suites above valet with the patios are story book except for the noise of all the in/out traffic coming in the front door. There is a gym and nail salon along with a small grocery type store and a bike store amongst other things on site. This is definitely a Hyatt I will return to and can't wait to see how Hyatt takes and evolves this hotel acquisition from Marriott. Yippee Hyatt I applaud this location.

Yelp
I wanted to write my review before I forget. Cause I think this property deserves a higher overall review than it has. I'm half way through my stay and we are not even done. It's that impressive. I'm a picky person so I was very particular of what I wanted and this hotel hit all the marks. From before arriving to arriving. It couldn't have been any more smooth or pleasant. I was planning a special getaway so I greatly appreciate the hotel and staff. Special thanks to the mysterious hand writer, tj and Barbara! Lil things you did made a huge difference, again thank you.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
If you stay here we highly recommend a room on the stream side so that you can sleep with the patio doors open and hear the creek. We stayed for 3 nights. I have to say that the bathrooms are very well designed, the room was super super clean and comfortable, and we loved our patio overlooking the river. We stay at a lot of Hyatts and this is one of our favorites. All the staff was friendly. The valet staff is super on top of it, and answered any questions we had about Vail or the hotel itself. We are at the bar one night. It was packed. In a good way. Thank you Grand Hyatt for a great mini vacay!!!

Yelp
In summary - this is probably one of the best Hyatt's I have stayed at as a WOH member. We stayed here during a weekend stay end of February and you cannot ask for a better place to stay in Vail. From the moment you arrive, you're immediately greeted by the parking/valet hosts who assist you with your luggage (and skis which get taken to the rental shop!). Check in was somewhat busy but we were helped within a couple minutes. The hotel has a variety of events throughout the day that includes champagne hour, s'mores and cookies, live music, etc. We used a suite upgrade for our stay so we were treated to a 2 queen bed suite that included 1.5 bath and a couch. It was a very spacious room! We didn't try out the buffet breakfast (since we were in a rush to get first lift up) so we did take out from the cafe next to the check in counter. They were able to use my globalist benefit there to get grab and go breakfast sandwiches/pastries and coffee in lieu of the buffet breakfast for two. The best part about the hotel - the lift is literally right next to the ski rental shop! You don't even have to walk far or lug your skis to get to the Cascade village lift 20. Only thing is that if you come too early in the season, the lift may not be open so you'll have to shuttle over to Lionshead of Vail Village to upload. Shuttle service runs every 15 minutes from the lobby to the two villages making it super convenient to get to town (so you can leave your car parked at the hotel)! My only complaint about this hotel is the air flow and the soft bed. Beds were a little too soft for all of us as our backs were not the best when getting up. The air flow was kind of weak so the rooms were pretty warm. Our second night we set our temp to 65 degrees and it felt like it was 70 and we were hot... however the other things about the hotel still made this stay a solid 5/5. I would highly recommend Grand Hyatt Vail for your next stay! I would definitely be returning here if I'm planning to ski vail!

Yelp
This was a couples trip . Hyatt Grand Vail seems more like a hotel than a resort. The overall property was very nice. Their website was updated letting you know about their renovations. The restaurant was nice. Went downstairs one night and had a drink at the bar along with dessert. Waiter was great. Overall prices for breakfast is expensive for what is being offered. Activities was okay. They had s'mores and complimentary champagne so this was a plus one night. The pool and jacuzzi looks great. The fire pit was awesome. The overall property was well maintained. The trail behind the hotel was really nice got a chance to see some wildlife. It was it was a very peaceful view of the surrounding mountains and winter foliage. I could only imagine if it had snow this would have been a gorgeous of view. The reason for the star review is because we had issues with our room not being cleaned the first time and then we were changed to another room it I wasn't as clean as well. I did inform management twice. The linens had stains that should have never been put back out for use for any guest . I even showed pictures to one of the check-in staff to prove my point. They did call me back about the issues but they did not offer to refund any money for any inconveniences. They do very basic cleaning at this hotel. The rooms were dusty. This couch had a lot of stains on it and not even wanting to sit on it in both rooms. They need to update their rooms to match resort feel. But the concierge lady was awesome. The valley boys were great valley men.

Yelp
This resort is five stars all around. The grounds are well upkept, tidy, and visually appealing. The rooms are extremely clean and well taken care of. The staff pays attention to detail and are extremely friendly and willing to help out in any way they can. The hotel restaurant and bar makes excellent food and drink. You want to come here if you are an AMEX Platinum Card holder. We will definitely be back here in the future.

Yelp
Beautiful modern hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Valet was awesome. Free shuttle bus to the village was a huge plus. Only small complaint is that the suites are very different. Some rooms had 1 restroom and some had 2.

Yelp
Attended a wedding rehersal dinner and welcoming party at Grand Hyatt. The recent renovations bring the standards up a level here. The staff was on point starting with the valet staff as they provided suggestion for cost savings. The servers and bar staff for the dinner were very welcoming and provided everyone in our large group top notch service.

Yelp
This bar was the peak of my trip. Few drinks are worth their cost in this area, however the bar was an outlier. The drinks Best bartender in the whole state. I asked him for a drink with mint. He then proceeded to make the most fresh mint drink. Mixologist skills aside, he was very kind! Highly recommend this bar if you have the chance.

Yelp
This is a great weekend getaway! Relaxing by the pool & enjoying the spring sun next to the river! Restaurant is throwing down some great dinner specials, 2 for $70 and the filet was done right! Appetizers and wine were a good addition!

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel in February 2023 and in February of 2021. The best part of this hotel is the ski in/ski out access. This hotel has a dedicated chair lift and the ski shop is less than 30 feet from the actual lift. I thought the ski shop was outstanding and loved the fact they helped both my 80 year old father and myself into and out of our boots each day. The convenience, knowledge and service was outstanding. Now for the hotel. I am a Hyatt Globalist, which means, I stay at Hyatt hotels constantly. This is supposed to be a flagship Hyatt hotel and is not. It's like a Hyatt Place with a restaurant and some other features. The hotel, in general, and restaurants seem understaffed and the service is below par. Getting service in the lobby bar was a painful process as there seemed to be only one person working the room the entire time. We waited more than 20 minutes, after we placed a simple drink order, until we received service more than once. The bar staff seemed incapable of making a mixed drink the correct way. The main floor gift/coffee shop is disorganized and poorly managed for both in take of orders and traffic flow. No matter where I chose to wait in line people would come from a different direction and be served before us. The staff could care less. Though the valet were accommodating they were not very friendly. The front-desk staff seemed underwhelmed by their jobs. I expected all of the staff to go above and beyond in how they treat with their guests but they seemed extremely mediocre at best. I found the general areas like the lobby and outside to be mismanaged. On multiple occasions the garbage in the lobby was overflowing. Though there was a hot tub in the middle of the property; The primary hot tub, which was convenient to our room, was broken our entire stay. The housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning and straightening our room each day so I have no complaints in that department. If your expecting a Ritz Carleton or a Waldorf Astoria you will be severely disappointed. If you are expecting a Hyatt Place your expectations will be somewhat exceeded. There are so many other hotels in the Vail area I would stay at before coming back to this place.

Yelp
We arrived at mid night after a long day hiking at Rocky Mtn NP. We get quickly checked in by a female front desk agent who explained everything and do a valet parking for us. She also handed out resort information & daily activities; they also provide shuttle bus to Lionshead & Vail Village. The hotel only offers valet parking which cost 45$/day. Found our way to the room after some confusion, our room is located on the 1st floor (?I think?), has a small terrace look out to the mountain. The room is beautiful & spacious; high ceiling makes everything look airy. Good comfy bed as always. Bathroom has his and her sink, nice lighting; standing showers with all white marble around & rain shower. The next day morning we tried out their hot tub which was fabulous with Mountain View. I can't say enough but in love with this hotel. We hope to come back some time soon in the future and stay for couple days for our anniversary. We paid our room by Hyatt points so we didn't have to pay anything included resort fees, which I think is a steal deal.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hotels in Vail. I stayed here years ago for a wedding when it was Vail Cascades and remembered what gorgeous views it has as soon as I walked through the front lobby. It has a really great indoor /outdoor spa . I recommend the facial. It was hands down the best yet. The heated pool and jacuzzi makes it perfect for snowy weather. I am very happy with the service in the hotel and I look forward to a future visit.

Yelp
The hotel and rooms are nice enough. I'm giving this place two stars because we are currently guests here and somehow not being permitted to use the amenities. The hotel charges a hefty $45 a night resort fee and $45 a night mandatory valet fee if you have a vehicle. The resort fee is obviously explained as a fee so you can enjoy the pool, the outside bar etc My husband and I went hiking today and planned to spend the afternoon at the pool since tomorrow will be so overcast and we have the spa booked tomorrow. After a 12 mile hike- we were looking forward to it. Apparently a large group of people were allowed to "buy out" the entire pool area and lower deck area with tables and fire pits. We were advised that, despite being paying guests and despite the hefty resort fee, we were not allowed to use the pool or the surrounding outdoor area. The pool area is one of the primary reasons we stayed here. It's pretty insane the hotel would allow a group to buy out this entire area, in Memorial weekend no less, and still charge guests the resort fee. Basically ruined the rest of our day. My guess is this happens frequently given this is a wedding venue. Won't be staying again.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay. We stayed in the penthouse but had full access to all of the hotel amenities along with a conceir. The pool was warm and great for a day or evening swim and the hot tub was hot. The shuttle ran every few minutes so you were able to go to the village and surrounding areas. The staff was was all nice and respectable. I will be staying here again when I come back to vail.

Yelp
Construction everywhere, lots of noise and unwilling staff. The shuttle to the main square was probably the only good thing about our experience. I booked and upgraded to a suite and which looked a bit tired and not clean at all.

Yelp
So, I'll lead with the story: I usually do not stay at places like this as they are not in my price range generally. But I had a horrible experience checking into the La Quinta in Silverthorne and I had a long drive that day so I checked into this hotel for July 6th, leaving July 7th. In total for one night in the most affordable room they had I spent $550: remember that they do not advertise the "resort" fee with the price so that is extra (but part of the price above). The good- the bed was extremely comfortable. And clean! The whole room* was clean and very fresh feeling and the AC unit was nice and quiet and the bathroom* was very lovely. Also, it's right next to a beautiful stream and in the morning I just kind of marveled at the stream a bit it really is lovely. The restaurant had a delicious breakfast and a fantastic staff, I would highly recommend the Chair 20 Omelet. And I just asked for a latte with some vanilla in it, but also that was delicious and for not a worse price than a Starbucks. I'm going to call my $30 breakfast a good deal: and I don't usually spend $30 on breakfast! The bad- that "*" above is for the only unclean part of the room: the shower head! I have a pet peeve about this, all it takes to clean a shower head is to unscrew it from the pipe and let it sit in white vinegar for a couple of hours, then brush off the face with a dish brush. I do not have pictures, but I wonder if anyone has actually used this shower in a while? I know it's been a bit since covid lockdowns ended but I did spend some time wiping the shower head clean. Also, it came with one of those attachments that is attached to a metal hose but the switch on the shower that turns it from the waterfall shower to the hose was broken. So both ran at the same time and the water pressure was a bit underwhelming. Still, I did really enjoy my night here. If I could afford it, I would come back more often.

Yelp
This place is very expensive at $1,400.00 a night, which I don't mind paying if the service reflects that. However they are extremely understaffed and we had to wait 45 min for breakfast even though they had over half the tables in the restaurant available. I will never come back to this hotel.

Yelp
Stay here. I mean it, stay here for your next ski vacation. Let me tell you why.... Truly a ski in/ski out resort. And if you ski and wear ski boots, you know how amazing it is to NOT have to walk far in ski boots while also carrying your skis and poles. The ski valet at this resort is top notch. When you check-in they instantly take your skis/poles/boots and check them into the ski valet. If you need to rent equipment, they have that as well. When you are ready to ski, you head down to the ski valet and check in at the entrance, you are assigned a bench and someone brings you your boots. They have baskets under the benches for shoes/anything else you don't want to bring skiing. Next, you walk about 20 feet to the alphabetically organized ski rack to grab skis or snowboard and then walk maybe another 20 feet to the lift or ticket counter. Amazing! When you are done for the day, you can ski in or download on the cascade lift. I did both options and I definitely preferred taking the lift down the mountain after a long powder day. They also know how to do après. Live music, s'mores, fresh cookies, cocktails, two hot tubs and a pool that is right next to gore creek. The lobby always had guests enjoying the lounge and après. I didn't get to try the lounge menu but it is on my list for next time. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was a dream, beautiful shower and tub. Service was excellent. On two different occasions, we needed extra towels and an extra robe and slippers for the hot tub, they arrived within 10-20 minutes of the request. All staff was beyond helpful, I always felt welcomed. Concierge was also able to answer all our questions about dining and dress codes for restaurants at Vail Village. They also offer a shuttle to and from the resort to Vail Village and Lionshead. Only thing I didn't like was that the shuttle stopped at 10pm. Most nights it wasn't an issue but I think the shuttle should run till at least 11pm.

Yelp
Designed beautifully. Nice amenities. Lots of the resort amenities were shut down during our visit because it was in between season. And there is construction. The shower flooded when used. It was a very nice shower. Just did not drain and flooded with each use. There was some broken or missing hardware in the bathroom, like sink handles and towel hangers. The staff was awesome. Truly. Billy and Elaine and the concierge and the valet/shuttle driver. Excellence top notch service. I would come back again just for the service that they provided. They all made us feel special. The room was nice. Our balcony allowed us to walk right onto the Gore hiking trail that leads to Lionshead/Vail Village.

Yelp
We've had a marvelous stay. The staff was all friendly and helpful! The room is updated, spotless, and has incredibly comfortable beds! The fitness center is well stocked, and we loved the creek side trail. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Visited with family and kids during COVID-19, you need to book swimming pool area in advance, we had no problem to book it. Warm pool, very clean. 2 jacuzzis. Employees sanitized chairs after each visitor. Very friendly front desk, we were checked in quickly. Free shuttle going to Vail Village every 30 minutes. Beautiful place. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Little dose of luxury during spring ski season! Check out the nightly activities like s'mores and champagne saber! Loved meeting interesting people and had great luck with the ski conditions. Thanks to the wonderful staff for helping us celebrate during this special weekend away.

Yelp
The hotel itself is nice and in a great location. When we arrived, 5 hours after being notified that our room was ready, we found a free standing freezer sitting in our living room...asked the front desk to have it removed....a bit strange. We then noticed that a mask a a bottle of partially drank pelligrino were still on the patio from the last guests...notified the director of operations and he said it would be handled...housekeeping has come and gone with no improvement to the patio trash situation. At $1,200 per night, I expected a bit more cleanliness and quicker response to a couple of easy fixes.
