Beautiful place to stay. It's far from town, fyi. Cheapest, and best selection of groceries are in town. The condos are amazing. Daily service if you want it. They were good about just leaving us coffee, tea, and towels if we didn't need service. They were very nice. The unit has a very small washer and dryer, sub zero fridge, and dishwasher. We had 2 bed rooms with bathroom in each, plus 1 up in the living area. 2 beautiful pools. You have choice to rent a golf cart during your stay. Great beach out there in Emerald Bay, with kayaks and snorkel stuff available. They do have a few food/ drink options on site (but we recommend you go 5 minutes north to cocoplum bistro). We would recommend this place.

Our trip to Exuma was unforgettable, and Grand Isle Resort was a huge part of why. From the moment we arrived, every detail of our stay exceeded expectations. The resort itself is absolutely stunning, crystal-clear water, beautiful villas, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease.||||What made our stay truly exceptional, though, were the people. Kaleisha at the front desk was an absolute gem. When our scheduled boat tour was canceled at the last minute, she didn’t hesitate for a second, she jumped into action and found us an alternate option that ended up being even better than we could have imagined. Her kindness, resourcefulness, and warm personality turned what could have been a disappointment into one of the highlights of our trip.||||At the bar, Carlton was another standout. He makes the most delicious piña coladas we’ve ever tasted (seriously, they deserve an award!) and is such a great conversationalist. His friendly energy and attention to detail made every visit to the bar feel special.||||And Princess, our waitress at 23° North, was simply superb. Her service was impeccable, she anticipated everything we needed, all with a smile that made us feel right at home.||||Every staff member we encountered at Grand Isle embodied true hospitality. You can tell they take pride in making guests feel cared for and welcome. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.||||Grand Isle isn’t just a resort, it’s an experience, and the people make it unforgettable.

The villas are beautifully decorated and very clean. The beach and pool areas exceeded our expectations. Above all, the staff was phenomenal. 23 North has wonderful food and breakfast at Palapa's is terrific. The location of these villas is great as well. Not only did our family love Exuma but we loved staying at Grand Isle.

An amazing resort without the typical resort feel. Every employee we interacted with were kind and a pleasure to be around. The food and drinks were excellent and the beach was clean and very accessible. Highly recommend and we are excited for our next trip back.

We stayed at Grand Isle Resort for our honeymoon and it was exactly the relaxation we needed! The service was definitely 5 starts and all staff members were so friendly to us. From the moment we arrived exhausted after our wedding, we stepped into ultimate paradise. Our villa was located right next to the pool and ocean, the view from our balcony was spectacular. Everyone at the pool bar was so friendly and service was super fast with our food/drinks. We tried to jerk shack on the beach and we instantly fell in love with the flavors of that chicken and Mac n cheese, We went back for seconds! All of my piña colada’s were right on the money, the rum was delicious. A huge shout out to Carlton at the beach bar, and Shelly at the seastar spa. She did a phenomenal job for our couples massage! The entire staff treated us like royalty and we really really really appreciate it. We did not want to leave this morning and we were already talking about when we can come back to Grand Isle…. The resort is stunning and exceptionally well managed. The buildings and grounds are beautifully maintained, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. However, I was disappointed with my room assignment. I had booked an ocean-view villa months in advance, but Villa 5122 offered a view of the gym roof rather than the ocean. This was not what I expected and fell short of what was advertised.

Absolutely Outstanding Stay at Grand Isle Resort! Grand Isle Resort is truly accommodating, beautiful, and staffed with amazing people! We originally stopped by just to have lunch at Palapa, but the moment we entered the property, we knew we had to leave our VRBO to fully enjoy everything the resort offers. I went straight to the reception desk, and to our surprise, they had a room available that fit exactly what we needed. They even arranged for early check-in and had our room ready by 1 PM. A golf cart was available to us for a daily rental fee, which was a huge plus for getting around the property. Our room was simply beautiful—immaculate, comfortable, and stocked with every amenity you could think of. The resort features two large pools: one for families with children and another reserved for adults, both stunning and relaxing. We continued to enjoy breakfast and lunch at Palapa throughout our stay, and on our last night, we had dinner at 23 North—absolutely delicious. From start to finish, our experience exceeded expectations. I would definitely recommend Grand Isle Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway!

The resort is beautiful and on a gorgeous bay. Our villa was very nicely decorated and clean, and the cleaning staff did a nice job of keeping us stocked with everything provided. We had several issues with things in the villa and would have preferred a more private villa in the same building (14). Both of our patios looked onto the pool area and I can only imagine in high season, would be very loud and non-private. We had an issue with our hot water that continued for 3 days. Each day we would report it and supposedly someone came to "fix" it, but it wasn't until the 4th day of our 5-day stay that we had hot water. This should have been a 'one and done' fix. Another issue we had was an alarm going off each and every night, which we had to contact the front desk to have fixed every night. The alarm was taken care of in a quick manner, but having to contact the front desk every single night for this issue was intrusive on our vacation time. The last day, the dishwasher leaked water all over the floor, which we slipped on. How did the cleaning staff not know about this problem after the previous guest?||The on-site restaurant was a disappointment. Not only was it very expensive, but the selection was small and we grew tired of eating there. We ended up getting groceries on our own and making some meals, as well as going to restaurants off property. 23 Degrees restaurant was even higher priced, so we avoided that option. If the service matched the other restaurant, we would have been very disappointed. ||Now for our thoughts about the staff....every single male staff member was very kind, welcoming and quick to fix an issue we were having. We would like to give special praise to Cevon at the front desk and the gentleman that fixed our alarm each night. They are the kind of employees others should model after. They were friendly, kind and appeared to take an interest in us and do their best for us. We were very positive and kind to all the staff, but that just was not reciprocated. Unfortunately, our encounters with most of the female staff were as though we were bothering them. We never saw a smile from any of the women who worked in the restaurant, and we genuinely felt like they didn't want to be there. On our final day, there was no bar service out on the beach, which was okay as the previous days the waitress acted like getting us drinks was a bother. We walked up to Sandy toes to get our own drinks and food, and one male employee wearing a Bass Pro Shops red hat was very unprofessional in front of guests. We understand that we were visiting in the low-season and maybe the employees feel like being at work was a waste of time, however every guest should be made to feel welcome, especially for the price paid for the services you advertise to provide. ||And one last comment, regarding the state of the beach....Emerald Bay is very beautiful and the water was very warm and calm. The seaweed issue is major. We have never been to an upscale resort where the beach was not tended to in a proper manner. The seaweed should have been removed daily so guests didn't have to smell it, walk over it and trip on it. Just getting in the water was challenging, due to all the seaweed. Some days walking along the beach was just not possible due to all the seaweed buildup. We saw MANY employees doing absolutely nothing down by the beach and they should have been put to work making the beach acceptable to your guests. ||In conclusion, if we return to Exuma in the future we would rent a house. Unfortunately the complacent and unwelcoming attitude of the majority of the staff far outweighed the villas and beach.
