Grand Isle Resort And Residences

The good news first: We loved our stay. The property is beautiful, clean and our villa was spacious. The resort seamlessly blends luxury and a Bahamian ‘laid back’ atmosphere. Word to the wise: Do not book a stay here without getting a confirmation email of your room rate and a full breakdown of final costs before embarking on your flight to Exuma. I provided an email address and full contact information for the initial booking through their website, but never received a confirmation email of my reservation. I called and emailed requests for the booking email confirmation and never received one. Fast forward to after our trip - we were charged a higher room rate than advertised and not given an itemized bill showing the room rate. The charge just appeared on my credit card with no authorization on my end. The hotel refuses to refund us because I cannot provide them with a confirmation email, the one I asked them to send me three times. The resort is also unable to generate any record of our original agreement, or at least won’t share it with me. The excess charge is quite significant and very disappointing.

Great stay. Smaller resort but tons of food and beverage options. Guest rooms are great and have all needed amenities. Full size refirgerators and full kitchens. Golf carts are available, but we really didn't need ours unless we needed to go to a drive to the liquor store. Hotel is about 20 minutes away from the airport, which is very small and is quick and easy!

We recently spent 10 days at Grand Isle and had a fabulous relaxing experience. |The accommodation was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. |The manager Joe welcomed us and made sure we had everything we required. He was present daily ensuring his guests were happy & satisfied. |His team were friendly, hospitable and made our stay even better. |We ate in both Palapa and 23N and both were excellent. We had some great servers at both restaurants, and the food was delicious too! |The beach was clean and inviting and the sea warm. We had some pleasant walk around Emerald Bay throughout our stay. |Thank you for a great holiday .

This was the most beautiful wonderful vacation my family has ever had. The resort is like something out of a dream. It is captivating in its beauty right on the water and the residences are well maintained, luxurious, clean, and spacious. It was a quiet, calm, and peaceful place. The staff is above and beyond excellent service and hosts making sure we were taken care of and whatever we needed were helpful and happy to assist. Wonderful professional people who work there. Everything you need is there and/or close to have your vacation. One of the highlights was our spa day with Shelly and Kevica. They took great care of us and gave us a luxurious relaxing and pampering experience including massage and facial. Again, so professional, kind, courteous. I have visited many spas in different locations, but these service providers are the best. I could not have asked for a better experience in the entire stay. I hope to come back someday.

Grand Isle is an absolutely fantastic ‘home away from home’! Luxury villas in a stunning beachfront community - just what Bahama dreams are made of! Amenities, idyllic scenery, great villas in a great location in Exuma, The Bahamas!

Unfortunately, we had an extremely disappointing experience with the Grand Isle Resort. Our arrival at the hotel was disrupted by an unexpected strike by Bahamasair, which prevented us from traveling to Exuma on the scheduled date. The flight was rescheduled for the following day, and despite this being a clear case of FORCE MAJEURE, the hotel refused to refund or offer credit for the missed night.||We contacted the hotel immediately after the flight was canceled, both by phone and email, but never received a response. When we finally arrived at the hotel, we were met with a complete lack of understanding for the situation, even after explaining that the flight cancellation was entirely beyond our control.||We expected more empathy from a hotel like Grand Isle. The least they could have done was acknowledge that unforeseen situations can occur and try to find a solution. Unfortunately, the hotel’s inflexible attitude turned the start of our trip into a very frustrating experience. I do not recommend the Grand Isle Resort for anyone seeking respectful and compassionate service during difficult times.

The property is stunning. The staff was extremely personable and attentive. They always had a smile. Palapa was the only restaurant open since it was off season. The food was delicious. The beach and adult pool were truly breathtaking. The villas were spacious and very clean.

The only hesitation I have in giving this review is exposing what feels like a true secret in vacations. Great Exuma and Grand Isle are the best the Exumas has to offer. This week we ate at the resort restaurants, hung out at the beach, took excursions to other islands, and nothing I did compares to staying at grand isle. Truly an incredible experience. Stayed at 3101. Just was totally refurbished.
