Hotel NH Copenhagen Grand Joanne

Fantastic hotel. Style is very cool. Room was lovely and had everything you needed and more. Staff super helpful and friendly. Breakfast 5 star quality and buffet has so many options plus a la carte option. Gym and yoga studio were so good!! Used both days we stayed and loved them.

I stayed here with my daughter in December while visiting the Christmas markets, and we had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff who made the check-in process seamless. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was very spacious and offered fantastic views. Our stay included breakfast, which was a real highlight — the food was incredibly fresh with a wide variety to choose from. All of the hotel staff were consistently friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The location is ideal for exploring Copenhagen and is just a two-minute walk from the train station. I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Hotel is conveniently located near a main train station and Metro station. Very near Tivoli too. The room was excellent, bed was very comfy, and the gym was very well kitted out including towels and water. The reception staff were very kind and helpful. Will definitely choose to stay here next time I'm in Copenhagen.

The old building received a very nice renovation and parts of the hotel appear upscale. Unfortunatelly the llcation next to the trainstation makes a comfortable silent sleep impossible. The rooms have only very small bathrooms, which appear kind of stylish - but the constructor forgot that every day there are new clients inside. Thus, the hot/cold selection of water becomes a gamble. Also water is leaking trough the glasdoor and puts the floor under water. Breakfast - same concept. They want to present an upscale level with menu selections, but the outcome is not client friendly. Food needs ages to be delivered, coffee is below standart and service people are not what you expect. Overall, depending in your needs it might be acceptable. But for business traveler that needs sile ce at night and propper breakfast, this will not on my top list of choices in Coppenhagen

The hotel is so centrally and conveniently located, yet it never feels like you’re staying at a train station. All the staff are incredibly friendly, especially the man at breakfast with glasses – a truly wonderful person, so kind and thoughtful that he deserves a gold star. The room is fresh, spacious, and has everything you could wish for. And the breakfast is fantastic – I really like that you can order à la carte. It’s been a long time since I experienced a hotel as good as Grand Joanne. Thank you!

My wife and I got married in Copenhagen and we stayed at Grand Joanne before and after our wedding and it was an excellent experience. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic. Gambhir, Alessandra, and Marta in particular were highlights during our stay. They were all exceptionally friendly and helpful and Grand Joanne is lucky to have them as staff.

We stayed here for a weekend trip and overall had a great experience. If you’re a couple, I recommend booking a Superior Room — it’s a reasonable size (slightly on the smaller side, but still comfortable for two). The hotel is quite modern, in an excellent location, and easily accessible from both the airport and the train station. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept very well, although some noise from the street could be heard since the hotel is located on a main road. We were a bit disappointed that there was no Nespresso machine or Dyson hair dryer in the room, as advertised on Booking.com. The room facilities were kept to a minimum; however, when we asked at the front desk, the staff promptly provided everything we needed — robes, slippers, toothbrushes, and vanity kits. The front desk operates mainly through WhatsApp, which we found super convenient and efficient. That said, staff consistency could be improved — while some were very welcoming and attentive, others seemed distracted, often using their phones behind the desk and not noticing guests. Overall, it’s a great hotel and good value for a short 2–4 night stay. The modern design is appealing, though the hallway carpets looked a bit dirty and there was an unpleasant bar smell in the corridor.
