Grand Koper Hotel

I'm coming from Taiwan. If you're planning to visit Slovenia, I highly recommend staying at the Grand Hotel Koper for at least two days. This will give you enough time to fully enjoy the breathtaking day and night views of this beautiful port city. You'll get to experience the amazing local cuisine, and the hotel is perfectly located next to historic landmarks and countless little shops selling unique local products. It's the perfect way to immerse yourself in the charm of Koper!

Fantastic stay! The hotel was spotless, staff were friendly, and the location was perfect for exploring. Loved the comfy beds and great amenities. Highly recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable visit! Location is amazing, right at the coast

I stayed for 2 nights and full of surprises at arrival. The building is old and outdated for a 4* hotel. No slippers in the room which should be a must considering the tiles flooring. Poor soundproof which culminated with a drilling machine started at 8.30 pm in the first evening. Breakfast very limited, nothing locally prepared (except fried eggs or omelette) but supermarket unwrapped.

Perfect location in the middle of the marina, newly renovated, creative and charming design and details, tasty breakfast (skip the poached egg and go for the scrambled or fried) with great pastry selection. A pool or free parking would be cherry on top, but still a great stay.

What a great find. Such wonderful staff. From check in to check out. The breakfast was really good. With a good vegan section as well. The hotel itself is stylish and with really nice touches. The rooms are stylish to as well.

A nicely designed hotel on a great location. The room was in the new section, attached to the historic building. The sea view came with a Bar below and revving cars, but all part of the urban port city experience, so no complaints :) Nice warm corridors, sea themed carpets, same details on the do-not disturb sign. Easy to navigate, beautiful typography, funky elevator, lush dining room. Two downsides that can be improved. 1. The thick shade and the electronic window blind, enable the room to turn completely dark.. jet, the interface panel that controls climate control and maid service, has 3 white LED lights, that glow all night. Had to use a bit of DIY to cover it up. 2. On one photo you can spot a larger blob on the side of the bed. This discolouration could be a leftover of the maid trying to clean a dark smudge. On the Check-out, when asked if everything was ok, I complained about the disappointing dinner at the Capra restaurant downstairs (separate review), also mentioned the blob on the side of the bed... They ignored it, since they already charged me at the Check-in (!) they showed no real care, this attitude made the difference between 4 and 5 stars. Overall, a quality hotel in a great location, I would recommend it.

very nice hotel with super friendly employees. I was there for only 2 nights, but enjoyed my time there. The location is right next to the old town of Koper. Travelling there by car was easy and uncomplicated.

Excellent hotel! We arrived at the hotel at 10 PM and the receptionist was very kind and accomodating. The room was stylish, clean and had a beautiful view. It also offers the best location in Koper. I would recommend trying the restaurant as it offers interesting dishes. My partner and I had such a pleasant time and cannot wait to return to Koper again!
