Recently had a lovely stay at Basildene Manor for a girls weekend. Accommodation was lovely - both rooms and grounds. We enjoyed having access to the dining area with complimentary tea & coffee as well as the delicious cake for afternoon tea. We also enjoyed the lounge area complete with fireplace for some lovely after dinner conversation. The departure scones were also a lovely touch. Recommend for a couples or friends stay.

We have just spent a delightful week at Basildene Manor in Margaret River. This beautiful property is set in lovely gardens and boasts a tennis court and swimming pool. |Being July, it was far too cold for swimming and the pool was closed|The sunny dining room with views over the garden is the perfect place to enjoy a continental or delicious home cooked breakfast, and the cosy loungeroom with log fire is a great place to sit and relax. |Basildene Manor is in a great location to use as a base to explore and sample the many attractions in the Margaret River region and we hope we will be back there again before too long.

We had a wonderful three night. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Manor is a beautiful relaxing place to base yourself. The manor isn't far from the ocean, river or Margaret River town. The breakfast is freshly cooked and delicious. The continental breakfast provided homemade baked goods and locally sourced fruit and jams etc. We are already planning our return in the spring.

The pillows were super fluffy. We really enjoyed our stay, nice big bath, comfortable beds. We enjoyed a good game of tennis in their courts before leaving. The staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful they went above and beyond. Not to mention scones as we left was a beautiful farewell touch. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.

The Champagne Suite was next level stunning with every imaginable inclusion. We had a wonderful stay with so much to see and do nearby. The staff were wonderful and the dining area providing lovely views across the property. I also particularly enjoyed the historical significance with lots of photos displayed.

Basildene Manor is undeniably a beautiful and serene retreat. The accommodation is well-maintained, and the rooms are tastefully decorated, offering a peaceful escape amidst picturesque surroundings. The gardens are stunning, and the overall ambiance is calm and relaxing – exactly what you’d hope for from a heritage-style escape in Margaret River. However, the tranquility is somewhat marred by the intrusive and aggressive pitch for the Accor Vacation Club. What starts as a friendly conversation quickly reveals itself to be a high-pressure timeshare sales tactic. It feels completely out of place in such an otherwise elegant and relaxing environment. For guests simply looking to unwind, this can be a major turn-off. Another drawback is the lack of standard room provisions, especially considering the premium price point. Essentials like a vanity kit, shower cap, and other small conveniences you’d expect from a luxury stay are noticeably absent. While the setting is undeniably lovely, these oversights do leave a bit to be desired in terms of value for money. In short, Basildene Manor is a charming and peaceful property that unfortunately allows an aggressive marketing strategy to intrude on the guest experience – and at this price, you'd expect more thoughtful amenities and a completely pressure-free environment.

Property and surroundings are beautiful. Rooms are well appointed. However - Accor Gold status not really recognised (no upgrade provided). From the looks of it I'm not even sure all 19 rooms were occupied. Took some negotiations to get 2 rooms on the same floor. Breakfast is good but some staff are very picky providing more than one hot item on the menu :(

This is a great place to stay, has a lot of history. Staff are very helpful. They only have a small kitchen on site and provide breakfast each morning. The grounds are well kept.
