After nearly a decade in Korea, this is literally the only place there that I truly, truly enjoyed and will miss. A place where people can be themselves. (Unless you want to play non-country music then gtfo according to Mama Kim 😂) Thank you for the cheap drinks, good music, and little slice of home. This is where I hung out with my closest friends, where I spent holidays, where I took my husband on our first date, and where we had our post-wedding/farewell party!

A bar for military people for many decades, and she is a widower of Korean and Vietnam War US veteran. So economical and cheap drinks compare to Koren bars...she is very energetic and passionate about her place and her job serving military people or their guest like. MUST visit in Itaewon.

What an absolutely crazy place! It is so cheap to drink here, listen to country music, and chat to the Landlady Mama Kim whilst time goes by. we visited here almost every night simply because of its charm, and of course the value for money!

Memories of live DJ's are gone, but the music is still alive on Fridays and Saturdays. Celebrating 50 years! Cheapest beer and drinks in Korea! It's a Foreigners only club, so bring cash or foreign CC.

Fun place that feels way out of the ordinary for Seoul. Mostly all country music, cheap drinks but cash only! You are allowed to smoke inside which is not my favorite. There is a big dance floor that is sadly used less and less. It's a fun time when people are into it though!

Cheap bar, lots of character to it. The old lady behind the bar "Mama" has a legend that she was the only woman to stand up to the Mafia... It's the only old school pub left from the darker days of this area. Lots of history to it and stories about it. Great music playing. The foreigners only sign is a throwback to old times and not some reverse xenophobic weirdness. Once you learn the history of the area and the bar it all makes sense. Loved it here. Fully recommend.

My fave bar in Seoul! It’s all love all around. It’s a must. Mama Kim is a LEGEND!!!!

A classic of Itaewon. This place is such an awesome niche bar. Country music only, dance floor, cheap brews, jell-o shots, the place is a total must see!
