Grand Pacific Hotel Lorne

An incredible place, with incredible people & incredible food/drinks. We had the pleasure of dining here & having drinks on multiple occasions over the summer holidays. Always great vibes, sometimes live music, & the food always 10/10. The team have done an incredible job of restoring this beauty & making it better than ever. Can’t wait to get back there for many more meals.

My review is in 2 parts, both positive! We dined with friends this week for the first time since the reopening and so enjoyed it; food was very impressive for a venue of this scale on a busy summer night. Second review is even more positive; based on excellent service & kindness. We’d planned a large group of friends to end a hike at lunch time & enjoy lunch outdoors at the GP but the weather had other plans with heavy rain preventing us going ahead. Maryanne could not have been more delightful about it, understood our last minute change of plans & we really look forward to rescheduling!

We often drive past this magnificent building on the way to our holidays and were very excited to see its been reopened. The refurb has been done so well it was a pleasure to visit, so fresh so clean. The staff were friendly and busy and the food was delicious, a large menu choice we ordered 4 different dishes and were all happy with our choices. It was raining the day we visited so we sat inside but we will be back to sit in the outside area.

Called in here for an impromptu counter meal after seeing the place now reopened after a major revamp. New look is lovely. I had no booking but could still order a meal in the bar section. I chose the chicken parmigiana. It was okay, but lacked the ham on the topping. Also only leaf salad. Would prefer a proper salad, but overall meal was nice and with good service. Would definitely dine there again.

The Grand Pacific Hotel has been restored and refurbished ....what a great achievement. We have dined there twice now and it really does hit the mark. A excellent menu at realistic prices and a comprehensive wine list. The staff are excellent...well trained and very helpful on both our visits...consistently impressive. Highly recommended.

It’s been a long time since we ate here due to several years of remodelling. Great service from the young team and the food was excellent. Can’t wait to visit in summer with the big windows open. I had the squid ink tagliolini and found room for an affogato. The pasta was cooked perfectly and so were the multiple seafood components. Well done.

Absolutely stunning, the food was the best I've had at a pub in a long time, and the new fitout looks incredible. Food menu has a great selection, was tricky to choose! Had the lamb rump, was tender and delicious and the sides complemented perfectly. Everyone in our group was really happy and thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait to come back. A must for anyone staying in Lorne!

Had a delicious gluten free pasta here! Tasted home made. Staff were super lovely and helpful too. All were really well versed in coeliac vs gluten intolerance. View is outstanding too!
