We stayed two nights and had a brilliant stay. The room was on the ground floor so we walked straight out to see the harbour. Our room was very clean with a bathroom I could have taken home with me!! The robes were thick and luxurious. The breakfast was delicious and we had great service every time with matching tasty dinners. The cocktails are also something to be savoured. The pool is fantastic and we were the only ones swimming. We enjoyed every minute of it and would recommend it to others. We especially liked the photo gallery on the first floor - it brought the historic context to life. Louisa was especially helpful during our stay. The museum is nearby and well worth a visit if one ignores the appalling rubbish in the otherwise beautiful Thurstone Gardens. One feels grand when staying there!!

Booked two rooms for my family and I for an overnight stay. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. Thank you to Uinise / Buna (hope I spelt your name correctly) for the wonderful service. Staff overall were lovely, friendly and helpful. ||Room itself was spacious, tidy and comfortable. Had a pretty view of the pool and beach. Loved the use of Pure Fiji products in the bathroom as well as the tablet to make requests.||Only downfall was the balcony door and fly screen was difficult to open and close in one of the rooms. However, would book again. Vinaka.

This is a lovely hotel to stay at. Going to Fiji was part of my 80th birthday celebrations. We were a family of eight spread over three rooms.|We all had excellent views across the pool/outdoor dining areas towards the harbour. I t was fascinating watching the busy shipping lanes.|All our rooms were excellent ,nice facilities and all nice and clean.|The hotel is iconic , its age its fittings all wrap themselves around you giving you a nice warm feeling.|Food and wine were excellent even though the prices gave me "hicups".|Great staff all round doing their best to ensure you have a great holiday. and we certainly did.

Historic property that is nicely appointed. Rooms are top notch with more modern features than most. Grounds and buildings are ultra clean and elegant. Service was top notch. Really enjoyed our stay in two rooms. Thank you.

I have been to many countries and countless hotels all over the world but this has to be one of the worst experiences. 6 rooms we had at the hotel It’s the little things that matter 1) Kids and they were swimming so we ordered food and it took over an hour with still no food only to find our food was given to another group so we had to wait even more. 2) This I understand if hotel doesn’t have microwaves in the room but asking to heat up a baby bottle to kitchen is not allowed just makes no sense and crazy 3) One of the rooms we checked out found charges we didn’t do that we had to prove ourselves and even charges we did do and already paid for the system said we didn’t so we had to show bank account transactions to prove it- what kind of systems do you have 4) Breakfast all rooms came with breakfast including the kids only for the staff to charge us for the kids 5) We started with 2 room cards and now I have 5 as they keep not working for something so simple We then have to walk all the way back to reception each time it doesn’t work A simple checking off the room and how many included would have covered this off but no one ever asked just what rooms we were in All these things are fixable which is the good news and I don’t think I’m having high expectations that these things shouldn’t have happened If you need more information feel free to let me know and I can supply details of my stay at the hotel

We stayed for one night as we celebrated my aunt's birthday in the GPH conference rooms which deserves another great review in itself. The rooms were big and the hotel had all the amenities that kept the kids entertained. GPH is also conveniently located in the capital city of Suva budget friendly food options. Check in was very easy and the staff were very friendly. A very peaceful and great option for accommodation in Suva.

I had a wonderful one-week stay here in this hotel. My room was on the ground floor with a small balcony. Although I didn't see the pool area from my room, I had a beautiful ocean view. The breakfast buffet was OK. It was not so fancy, but it was OK.

It is such a shame with such a great location that service and food is so compromised .It took 40 minutes to get our first drink on Sat evening and it was not even busy . We had a meal and both meals were cold which just should not happen ! The outside dining area was dirty , it didnt look like it have been swept or mopped in days and the glass balustrades around the pool area covered in Suva mould . The F&B manager needs to wake up and fix these simple things to uphold what they portray .
