Grand Palace Brno

I stayed at the Grand Palace Hotel in Brno for one night, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel itself has a beautiful atmosphere and makes a great impression from the start. The location is perfect, breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, which I truly appreciated. The only downside for me was the room itself. While it was clean, the design and furniture did not feel very cozy, and the space felt rather empty. For the most expensive hotel in Brno, I expected the rooms to feel more welcoming and better equipped. In summary, the hotel is stunning in terms of atmosphere, service, and location, but the rooms did not quite match the high standard I expected.

We stayed at the Grand Palace Hotel in Brno and loved the service and atmosphere.|At the reception, a Russian-speaking girl checked us in very quickly, answered all our questions, gave us a map of Brno, and suggested places to visit. We arrived before 3 PM, and she helped us get into our room right away without waiting.|Our room was cozy and nicely designed, with windows looking out onto a small park and the city. It was quiet and peaceful. We had a welcome bottle of water, a Nespresso coffee machine, tea, and a minibar with drinks (for extra charge). The bathroom had a shower, Rituals toiletries, bathrobes, and slippers. Everything was clean and beautiful.|We ate lunch and dinner at the Danube restaurant. The chef cooked delicious food, and the service was excellent. Thanks to Alex for great service!|We also tried the Thai massage. The Thai masseuses were gentle and professional. After the massage, we enjoyed the sauna and relaxation area, which was small but very cozy and nice. The gym and sauna are free for hotel guests.|When we checked in, we got vouchers for welcome drinks, which we could use in the lobby bar or restaurant (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).|Breakfast was very good, with fresh juices, champagne, tasty food, and a coffee mashine. A lady played the piano in the lobby bar in the mornings and evenings, which was very nice.|When we checked out, a young man at reception asked how our stay was, offered us water for the road, and asked if we needed anything else.|We want to thank the whole hotel team for a wonderful stay. This is an excellent hotel, where we've been three times (in the old days as the Barcelo and now as one of the Czech Inns group). We always look forward to our visits; it makes our visits to Brno feel very special. On this occasion we had a room on the street with the tram, which was a little less quiet than the ones overlooking the entrance, but that was a minor inconvenience. The bathroom was, as always, excellent. Breakfast, served all morning, is always first-class; and the hotel staff are very pleasant and helpful. ||If there was one surprise, it was that the TV didn't function at all. I was told that the Czech-language channels worked - but actually even they were out of order. It is so easy nowadays - especially for non-Czech speakers - to just install Netflix. If my cheap B&B in Naples can do it, I am absolutely certain it's possible here!

This hotel is without doubt the premier place to stay in Brno. The staff is professional and very helpful and friendly. I stayed in the deluxe attic room and it was quiet and quite comfortable. A tram stop is right outside the front door, although the location is right by the city center and all its amenities. Proximity to the train station makes a day trip to Prague a pleasure. I recommend this location most highly.

"I was quite disappointed with my recent stay. Unfortunately, our room was located directly above a very noisy area with a disco, a pub, and fireworks going off late into the night, was being woken up at 2am Thurs and Friday, the real kicker is the nightclub that is 30ft away from the hotel is open until 5am on Saturday, and believe me when I say you can hear ever beat, at a minimum the hotel needs tripple glazing on the side of the night club. When I approached reception to ask if we could be moved to a quieter room, I was told the hotel was fully booked. Given the hotel’s size, I found it hard to believe there wasn't any alternative solution. This made for a pretty sleepless stay and a disappointing experience overall." This really is all about the location. It’s right near the center square and is convenient to walk around the whole area. There isn’t a place to park so you have to valet your car. But they always had it ready for us when we told them what time we wanted to pick it up. We stayed 3 nights and had a very nice room. The entrance to the hotel is very nice and welcoming. We had friendly service from everyone at the front desk each day we were there. The room was clean and felt comfortable. I thought it was interesting that my room had a bidet and my colleagues did not. She had a walk in shower but I had a tub. So obviously the rooms can vary depending on which one you get. It was a nice touch having the chocolates in the room . There is an onsite restaurant and also a breakfast area in the mornings. We used to stay at the Courtyard but will be returning to the Grand Palace on our next trip to Brno. It was so nice being able to walk to everything.

The hotels atrium is breathtaking. The libe music playing in the atrium is very pleasant and it provides amazing atmosphere. The glass elevators also are a nice touch. The rooms are nice but a redesign would be welcome. The receptionists are extremely nice and warm and welcoming and overall represent the hotel nicely. Unfortunately not the same can be said about the waiters.

Sadly we were quite disappointed with our stay. We were looking forward to a 5 star experience but that was not the case. The room was nice and the bed extremely comfortable but the staff were not very capable and the breakfast and bar were a let down… especially for a 5 star hotel. The location is brilliant but there was no where nice to enjoy a drink the hotel and the bar area is a bit depressing… The drinks were given were flat and the breakfast very basic. Unfortunately we were expecting much more
