Grand Palace Brno

Elegant hotel in an excellent location at the edge of Brno’s historic old town. The breakfast buffet was generous and the service we encountered was generally warm and professional. That said, the experience did not fully match the price or five-star positioning. We booked and paid for a deluxe junior suite but were accommodated in a superior attic room instead. We only realized this after checkout when comparing the room to the categories and photos listed on Booking.com. The room itself showed signs of wear (dated wallpaper, dust under the beds), and the mattress appeared to be a standard mattress with a foam topper. When the jacuzzi tub was first used, dark residue came out of the jets. One skylight control worked properly, while the other was stuck closed and allowed light through. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and on one day the room was missed and later refreshed with too few towels. The gym is very small with minimal equipment, and the saunas are clothing-optional, which some guests may want to be aware of. Breakfast coffee was average unless upgrading to paid premium options. Overall, the hotel has a beautiful facade and a prime location, but for the price delivers more of a solid four-star experience than a true five-star one.

The hotel was generally very good, but tbh I expected something more for the price I paid. The room was very clean and equipped, and was regularly cleaned as requested. The location is also great. However, I was not happy with the breakfast; it was just ordinary, and for such a hotel, they could have done better, for sure. My major issue was with fitness and spa. While I checked the hotel beforehand to ensure it had these facilities, both were really small. The sauna had only a capacity for max. 3 persons. In addition, it was not being cleaned regularly, and flavoured water was left empty a few times I went there. The water in the shower was also not drained well and spread to the other areas. Even once I called and asked someone to take care of it, they sent a lady very late, who was obviously reluctant to do the job. The restaurant is also highly pricy, and I can suggest many good restaurants in the area for really good prices. All in all, the hotel was fine, but not something worth that amount of money.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for accommodating us during our recent stay at Hotel Grand Palace Brno. I would like to share some constructive feedback that may be helpful for maintaining and further improving guest comfort and service quality. During our stay, we noticed the following: • The room did not include a minibar price list or a pillow selection list. • The main bed mattress showed some visible discoloration. • The lower part of the bathroom door appeared to be affected by moisture. • The valet parking service experienced a delay in returning the vehicle, and the car required attention due to a punctured tyre. • Housekeeping staff were observed using a mobile phone in the corridor for an extended period during the morning. • Some standard amenities were missing, including a small face towel, hair conditioner, and a Bible. • In the bar, a beer coaster was not provided. In addition, communication at the reception desk was somewhat difficult, as the staff spoke very quietly and I needed to ask several times for information to be repeated. Located on Silingrovo Square in the historic Mestsky Dvur building, the hotel sits right in the heart of the city. The fitness center and WiFi are available throughout the property, and major landmarks such as the Cathedral of Saint Peter and Paul and Špilberk Castle are only a short walk away. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and well-equipped with coffee and tea facilities, a minibar, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, safe, pillow menu, and ironing amenities. Everything is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the overall value is solid.

I stayed at the Grand Palace Hotel in Brno for one night, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel itself has a beautiful atmosphere and makes a great impression from the start. The location is perfect, breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, which I truly appreciated. The only downside for me was the room itself. While it was clean, the design and furniture did not feel very cozy, and the space felt rather empty. For the most expensive hotel in Brno, I expected the rooms to feel more welcoming and better equipped. In summary, the hotel is stunning in terms of atmosphere, service, and location, but the rooms did not quite match the high standard I expected.

Lovely hotel and convenient location, however my main expectation is to be able to sleep, especially in such a highly rated hotel. There were loud parties across the street that went on all night long. This was on a Wednesday night. Staff seemed aware of the issue but could not help. As a consequence I was forced to sleep in the bathroom floor. For this reason I would not recommend and would definitely not stay there again.

This is an excellent hotel, where we've been three times (in the old days as the Barcelo and now as one of the Czech Inns group). We always look forward to our visits; it makes our visits to Brno feel very special. On this occasion we had a room on the street with the tram, which was a little less quiet than the ones overlooking the entrance, but that was a minor inconvenience. The bathroom was, as always, excellent. Breakfast, served all morning, is always first-class; and the hotel staff are very pleasant and helpful. ||If there was one surprise, it was that the TV didn't function at all. I was told that the Czech-language channels worked - but actually even they were out of order. It is so easy nowadays - especially for non-Czech speakers - to just install Netflix. If my cheap B&B in Naples can do it, I am absolutely certain it's possible here!

This hotel is without doubt the premier place to stay in Brno. The staff is professional and very helpful and friendly. I stayed in the deluxe attic room and it was quiet and quite comfortable. A tram stop is right outside the front door, although the location is right by the city center and all its amenities. Proximity to the train station makes a day trip to Prague a pleasure. I recommend this location most highly.
