We have now visited Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa for the second time, and overall it remains a place we are genuinely fond of.
The setting is lovely, the grounds are spacious and well laid out, and the location along the coastline is truly beautiful. There is something very easy and relaxed about this resort that makes it an attractive choice when returning to Jamaica.
On our most recent visit, not everything was entirely smooth. However, it is only fair to recognise that the hotel — much like Jamaica itself — is still dealing with the aftermath of recent hurricane damage, and efforts to restore and improve various areas are clearly ongoing.
What made the real difference for us was the way certain challenges were handled.
We would particularly like to acknowledge Mr Andrew Wright and Mr Adolfo Aguillon, whose professionalism, measured approach and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction were evident. Rather than offering superficial solutions, they took the time to listen, assess and respond in a thoughtful and constructive manner. That kind of leadership inspires confidence and speaks well of the standards they aim to uphold.
We were also very impressed by two members of staff who deserve special recognition — Ms Carine Frazer and Ms Nikisha Anderson. Their responsiveness, kindness and willingness to assist added a personal touch that did not go unnoticed. They are a real credit to the hotel.
Hospitality is ultimately about people, and when management and staff care about doing things properly, it shows.
We look forward to returning and experiencing the resort again under calmer and fully restored circumstances.
