Overall a wonderful experience. A beautiful hotel - we particularly liked the infinity pool with the amazing view of Rovinj, which we could also enjoy from the terrace whilst having breakfast and from the bar. The room was just big enough for 3 but we could have done with some more wardrobe space. We were delighted to get an upgrade so we had a room with our own small pool. We used this a lot. The bathroom however wasn’t cleaned to the standard we would have expected every day. The breakfast was very good but it took a long time on some days for coffee to arrive. We also waited longer than expected for food at the pool bar. Some minor improvements could be made but nothing major! We would definitely consider coming again.

Not really my cup of tea. We stayed at this hotel for a few days, but unfortunately it was far from a relaxing experience. The hotel is extremely crowded and although we were supposedly “upgraded” to a room with a private pool, the view was completely blocked by a building. On top of that, there were seagulls in the pool, which wasn’t very pleasant. The property is huge and the walking distances are long – it was quite a trek from the elevator to our room. The hallway carpets were dirty and full of stains, and the bathroom wasn’t fully clean either. Overall, the room was nowhere near what we expected from a hotel in this price range. Breakfast was chaotic and overly busy. It was impossible to sit outside and enjoy the view – even with people waiting in line for an outdoor table. Inside felt crowded too. The parking garage was extremely hot. Getting a sunbed at the pool or the beach was a daily struggle. As a group of four, we could almost never sit together. The beaches aren’t exclusive to hotel guests, so beds are quickly taken by people from other hotels or those who pay for a spot. The walk to the beach is long and hot, only to arrive and find everything full. The so-called “always available” beach on another island turned out to be full despite what we’d been told. The reception then specifically booked us for another beach and arranged a golf cart to take us there, but when we arrived, there were only two sunbeds available for the four of us – extremely frustrating. Back at the pool, everything was once again taken, and when we finally found beds, they weren’t together. Arriving early didn’t help either – no effort was made to get us into a room before the 3 PM check-in. We were also given no explanation about the hotel layout, so we had to figure out where everything was by ourselves, only to find most spots already taken. All in all, this was a very disappointing stay. Instead of feeling relaxed, you leave more stressed than when you arrived. Thankfully, we were only here for a short time. Definitely not recommended.

One of those unique massive hotels that is so well-designed and spacious that you feel like you have the place to yourselves, and the other guests are all on their best. The quality of the food could be a notch improved, but the comfort and location is incredible. Gorgeous wide promenade 1km path to other the heart of this perfect little city in one direction or 1km in the other direction for a stroll to the different beaches or forest. perfect 6km run on the flat, sheltered by trees. And everyone seems to be happy and nice!

Soon after my wife and I checked in we both agreed, "this is a hotel you do not want to leave." Unfortunately we only stayed one night but we maximized our time at this fantastic property.||From the moment we arrived until we checked out the staff was incredible. When we parked our rental car we were immediately greeted by a bellhop who took our bags and took us to another representative who talked to us while we waited to check in. When we arrived to our room the bellhop arrived with our bags and showed us all the features of the room. Always appreciated and there were a lot of features in the room. ||The property is very modern, luxurious and beautiful. Some reviews spoke of obstructed views on the balcony from shrubs and grasses, but that is part of the aesthetic- luxury mixed with nature. ||The pool deck, infinity pool and spa may be the best I have ever experienced in my travels. The pool deck was very quiet and comfortable. The infinity pool has a breathtaking view of Rovinj. The indoor pool next to the spa is very unique as it extends from inside to outside. I visited the spa to use its multiple steam rooms and saunas. Very good facilities. The spa has an excellent indoor/outdoor quiet area that was very relaxing. Pool service was timely and attentive with a very good menu of drinks and pool snacks. I could have easily spent a week relaxing at this pool. ||The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The bed was a California King style bed and very comfortable. The shower was incredible with exceptional water pressure. Best shower in Croatia! ||The hotel is very large . Be prepared to walk. The grounds are beautiful. Old Town Rovinj is an easy 15 minute walk. The city area around the hotel is very nice and easy to navigate while walking. The hotel does offer a golf cart ride to guests to the Old Town. ||The continental breakfast was very good and the service was outstanding with multiple servers available to get you what you needed. The hotel bar is also really nice. ||I highly recommend this property if you are looking for luxury. The location, service and pool will not disappoint.

Our first time in Croatia and we chose Rovinj and Grand Park hotel on recommendation of my brother and I am so glad we chose it. We have had such a wonderful week. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. There was a mix up with one of our dinner bookings but the staff could not have done more to put that right. |Breakfast was superb - plenty of choice on the buffet with hot food to order. Fabulous pastries on offer in the patisserie and dinner at primi terrini was absolutely delicious. Drinks on the terrace with the fabulous view was a must each day with the variety of nibbles with the drinks far surpassing most bars! The pool area is lovely with choices of pools. The gardens are beautiful and the hotel really does blend in to the cliff. |I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel (or Rovinj) to anyone and I don’t doubt we will return. |Thank you for a wonderful week. |Julie and Steve Welham

Absolutely stunning! Its architecture blends beautifully into the landscape, with breathtaking sea and town views, fantastic pools, and a full spa. Highlights include Cap Aureo restaurant and the staff’s kindness and professionalism… don’t miss the 20 courses menu. It exceeded all expectations!

I had long desired to visit the Grand Park for its design alone, and I was not disappointed. Every detail of the building and property has been carefully considered, from the terraced landscape to the expanses of glass framing magical views at every turn. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the design is the balance of large and small, public and private spaces. Even on a fairly busy weekend visit, the hotel and spa never felt crowded. We always found a nook to enjoy. Connectivity to the other Maistra resorts is a bonus, as they share a modern and elegant waterfront promenade bracketed by parks on one end and the historic Rovinj center on the other. This was a great place to run or just stroll. The staff only elevate the experience. The concierge planned a perfect winery tour for us. The bar and restaurant staff anticipated our desires by the second day. They all seemed deservedly proud to work at the Grand Park. My only minor criticism is the lack of hot / whirlpool tubs at the pool terrace or spa. There are three pools ranging from cold plunge to maybe 84F. I would have enjoyed a warmer pool on our cool late May visit. I cannot wait for the opportunity to return to Rovinj and the Grand Park.

The Grand Park is the Pearl of Rovinj as you enter the Hotel its Breath Taking to see Rovinj through the glass windows. The design and layout of Hotel are amazing. When we arrived the reception experience was not what we expect at 5 star Hotels like the Four seasons. Its hard to put into words other than did not smile and not warm and inviting. The Room was perfect and had everything to make are stay perfect. The Facilities such as Gym, Spa were over the top and perfectly balanced with the beauty of Rovinj. Breakfast the food off the menu was over cooked many times. Poached eggs cooked well done, Bacon cooked to point almost burned.(no one every came over after food served no staff came by to check on food quality) The buffet portion was amazing and visually perfect. When we wanted to use the Bikes we asked three different staff from reception to people in halls of Hotel. All we received that it was in the garage. No one took the time to walk us to the Bikes. Which at 5 star resort believe that is how you train staff. Its a very large hotel and garage is not so easy to find and then when you do find garage finding bikes takes more investigation. The house Keeping staff were very friendly and I would say perfect for this level of service. We will certainly be back and hope feedback helps with understanding the very small issues we think could be improved.... Todd Reisenbigler
