Not really my cup of tea. We stayed at this hotel for a few days, but unfortunately it was far from a relaxing experience. The hotel is extremely crowded and although we were supposedly “upgraded” to a room with a private pool, the view was completely blocked by a building. On top of that, there were seagulls in the pool, which wasn’t very pleasant.
The property is huge and the walking distances are long – it was quite a trek from the elevator to our room. The hallway carpets were dirty and full of stains, and the bathroom wasn’t fully clean either. Overall, the room was nowhere near what we expected from a hotel in this price range.
Breakfast was chaotic and overly busy. It was impossible to sit outside and enjoy the view – even with people waiting in line for an outdoor table. Inside felt crowded too. The parking garage was extremely hot.
Getting a sunbed at the pool or the beach was a daily struggle. As a group of four, we could almost never sit together. The beaches aren’t exclusive to hotel guests, so beds are quickly taken by people from other hotels or those who pay for a spot. The walk to the beach is long and hot, only to arrive and find everything full.
The so-called “always available” beach on another island turned out to be full despite what we’d been told. The reception then specifically booked us for another beach and arranged a golf cart to take us there, but when we arrived, there were only two sunbeds available for the four of us – extremely frustrating. Back at the pool, everything was once again taken, and when we finally found beds, they weren’t together.
Arriving early didn’t help either – no effort was made to get us into a room before the 3 PM check-in. We were also given no explanation about the hotel layout, so we had to figure out where everything was by ourselves, only to find most spots already taken.
All in all, this was a very disappointing stay. Instead of feeling relaxed, you leave more stressed than when you arrived. Thankfully, we were only here for a short time. Definitely not recommended.
