I brought my travel bag that needed a new zipper, and two pants that needed tapering and hemming. $30.00 per pair pants, and $150.00 to sew a zipper into a leather bag. I agreed because I have valued this Italian leather travel bag for decades. They said it would be ready the next Thursday, which was 9 days away. I showed up to be told they put me to the side because they are good, law abiding folks who have to pay their taxes. I explained their taxes are not my problem. So after more excuses and talking over me loudly, "HONEY WE ARE HONEST PEOPLE AND HAVE TO PAY THE TAXES!" Over and over. So they said another week. I called them when I got home to say I want my money back and will go somewhere else. They assured me it would be ready in a week. I show up a week later, and the bag has been butchered. She cut into the leather where the original zipper was, and changed the function of the zipper. She sewed in a new zipper with 6 inches of a tail hanging off the side, arguing with me, " its good like that." I found the original zipper in the bag and pointed out she was incorrect, which led to MORE YELL TALKING from her and her husband. And only one of the two pants were ready. The husband claimed, "We said ready Thursday, but it's only Thursday MORNING!" (11am) She said I am a bad nurse because I am irritated with her and should not start my day like this. I told her to give me my pants, I will take them elsewhere, where the husband then told me NO PLACE IS AS GOOD AS US!! I walked. I lost 30 bucks and a pair of pants to these jokers.
If you value your belongings, please don't go here. They are rude, they interrupt you if they don't like what you are saying, and VERY PASSIVE AGRESSIVE! I feel sick that I allowed them to ruin my things. And am still out a pair of pants because I couldn't deal with them another second.
FIVE HOURS LATER::: I went back for my pants because I paid for them to be tapered. I brought my husband. We waited 5 minutes for the man to acknowledge us, then he yelled for his wife, who yelled back words we couldn't understand. We waited another 5 minutes, where she emerged, yell talking that she "NEEDED to take care of me FIRST!" I pointed to my husband who said he would like to speak to her. He asked for the pants they didn't return, where she yell talked, "I KNOW you are not happy and I have this for you! and found my pants, and offered a See's candy. " I got this for you because I didn't help you." We refused the candy, asked for our pants, and stated, "you ruined my bag. I have had this bag for over 20 years. You cut the leather to fit your coat zipper into the space, but destroyed the bag. And left 5 inches of zipper hanging off the bag." You again argued, "this is the best."
I don't like their service. I don't like that they argue with anything you don't agree with, and then yell talk over you if you try to explain why you don't like the work. And when asked to refund the money, laughed. They don't refund money because they are the best at their job and will never need to refund money.
I asked for a refund. They said NO. Please, PLEASE think twice before bringing valuable items to this shop. On a good note, they did a great job hemming my scrubs.
REFUND?? They Said NO. I would like some kind of settlement via refund.
