Amazing quality top notch shoe repair. I needed the soles to these sandals repaired in a day. Not only were they able to do it, they also did an amazing job. The soles are better than the originals. I brought my Louboutins here and they sealed the red bottoms so they don’t scratch off.

I cannot recommend Grand Shoe Services enough!! They completely remade the bottom of a pair of leather boots that were destroyed. They also cleaned and softened the leather and made the shoes look brand new, now they can last 20 more years. The owners Grigor and Aida are extremely lovely to work with and will take care of you. The prices are very fair and reasonable especially for the quality of work you’re getting. Very quick turn around also. I am so grateful to have a shoe service like this close by and will now come to them for any of my needs. They also do other services such as bag repair, leather belts and jackets, and making of car keys even electronic ones. I will tell all my friends to come here and you should come too.

I have a luggage that needed a zipper repair. He did great in repairing it quickly. He said he had a little trouble, but it looks great and it works just like it did before. I think the price is reasonable for what he did with the help of his wife. I love that he is very honest like my grandfather. I would definitely recommend them and come back if needed.

This place is awesome! They not only service shoes, but they also do alterations and keys! I have a scooter which had an obscure key that 5 different places cold not make a duplicate of. The owner took a lot of time to hand fashioned a spare key for me that worked! I am very happy, and definitely recommend this shop if you need any keys, replaced or alterations done!

When my wife and I come here from our home in Montana, I bring my motorcycle boots to Grigor for repair. The work is always done quickly and at a very reasonable price. I have been wearing these boots regularly for over 15 years and on our recent trip here they were very worn and leaking which I thought was beyond repair. Grigor had a great idea on how to patch the sides of the boots with strips of matching leather that turned out beautifully! He also conditioned the leather to make them look like new. Have been a long-time customer to the other businesses in the same complex but never did business here. I had a need to get a second key for my Mazda because I had only one. There are many places that this can be done with cutting and in my case, programming the smart chip. When I noticed the words in the window that they also do this automotive key replacement service, I went in and asked the details. Was told in a very straight conversation on the how much and if it doesn't work then nothing is owed. The cost was very reasonable so, gave the ok. Short time (20 mins or so) passes and I am driving away with a new keys in hand. While waiting, I was chatting with the owner and this business has been there for 45 years. Must support as these are locally owned and are rare in these times and days. Would return if my need arises.

Shoes came out looking great, bottom half was done on both. Leather match colors were also shined and looked good. Pricy a tad bit.

I brought my travel bag that needed a new zipper, and two pants that needed tapering and hemming. $30.00 per pair pants, and $150.00 to sew a zipper into a leather bag. I agreed because I have valued this Italian leather travel bag for decades. They said it would be ready the next Thursday, which was 9 days away. I showed up to be told they put me to the side because they are good, law abiding folks who have to pay their taxes. I explained their taxes are not my problem. So after more excuses and talking over me loudly, "HONEY WE ARE HONEST PEOPLE AND HAVE TO PAY THE TAXES!" Over and over. So they said another week. I called them when I got home to say I want my money back and will go somewhere else. They assured me it would be ready in a week. I show up a week later, and the bag has been butchered. She cut into the leather where the original zipper was, and changed the function of the zipper. She sewed in a new zipper with 6 inches of a tail hanging off the side, arguing with me, " its good like that." I found the original zipper in the bag and pointed out she was incorrect, which led to MORE YELL TALKING from her and her husband. And only one of the two pants were ready. The husband claimed, "We said ready Thursday, but it's only Thursday MORNING!" (11am) She said I am a bad nurse because I am irritated with her and should not start my day like this. I told her to give me my pants, I will take them elsewhere, where the husband then told me NO PLACE IS AS GOOD AS US!! I walked. I lost 30 bucks and a pair of pants to these jokers. If you value your belongings, please don't go here. They are rude, they interrupt you if they don't like what you are saying, and VERY PASSIVE AGRESSIVE! I feel sick that I allowed them to ruin my things. And am still out a pair of pants because I couldn't deal with them another second. FIVE HOURS LATER::: I went back for my pants because I paid for them to be tapered. I brought my husband. We waited 5 minutes for the man to acknowledge us, then he yelled for his wife, who yelled back words we couldn't understand. We waited another 5 minutes, where she emerged, yell talking that she "NEEDED to take care of me FIRST!" I pointed to my husband who said he would like to speak to her. He asked for the pants they didn't return, where she yell talked, "I KNOW you are not happy and I have this for you! and found my pants, and offered a See's candy. " I got this for you because I didn't help you." We refused the candy, asked for our pants, and stated, "you ruined my bag. I have had this bag for over 20 years. You cut the leather to fit your coat zipper into the space, but destroyed the bag. And left 5 inches of zipper hanging off the bag." You again argued, "this is the best." I don't like their service. I don't like that they argue with anything you don't agree with, and then yell talk over you if you try to explain why you don't like the work. And when asked to refund the money, laughed. They don't refund money because they are the best at their job and will never need to refund money. I asked for a refund. They said NO. Please, PLEASE think twice before bringing valuable items to this shop. On a good note, they did a great job hemming my scrubs. REFUND?? They Said NO. I would like some kind of settlement via refund.

Places and people like these are disappearing. So far they have redone four pairs of shoes for me and Aida repaired my wife's leather watch band with very fine and skillful sewing. They will get more things to do from me.

My former Go To shoe repair place in the city closed and I had formed a backlog of three pairs of boots that needed various work and resoling. One was a higher end pair that needed a manufacturing defect worked around and the other two were styles I could no longer find but wanted to keep. I met with Grigor and he worked with me on options and cost / benefit to get them resoled and repaired. All came out just great and I am elated. Was this the cheapest place to go, probably not. Are there places that don't feel as quaint, I am sure. However, I am very pleased with their old school craftsmanship and quality work with pride and as I said, I am elated with the repairs and refurbishment of my boots. I've already recommended Grand Shoe Service to a few friends and I will be back for sure.

Really disappointed. Given the excellent reviews, I made a trip especially from the city to try their shoe repair services out. Arrived 9:10am on a Sat, and they were not open, even if their hours say 9am opening...

I have been a customer for over ten years for boot, bag and suitcase repair, they even made me a custom leather pouch for work. Before I learned of this business, I sought multiple different businesses and, once I found Grand Shoe Service, I never went elsewhere. They've been in business for 45 years and are experts. The stitch work is amazing and shows how both husband and wife are masters of their craft. I highly recommend their services and so happy they are local to SSF. They are both friendly and social people. I can only report back excellent customer service with a superior product. I'd say they are the unique 1% of expertise for the entire Bay Area.

It is now my go to place for purse repair, watches cleanup, etc. Found this place by chance any my haircut appt beside them. They both explain clearly on the issues I have. The turnouts was beautiful. Funny that I tend to find things to repair now and have been going back to them. They also fix car electronic devices.

I waited too long to do review. I am so happy to have found this place thru Yelp. I dropped in Saturday morning and met Greg and Aida. They are the nicest couple you will ever meet. Greg gives out his honest solution and so knowledgeable. I brought my tori burch backpack in because the vinyl handle stripped off. He knows what needs to be done and explains it well. i brought in 3 pairs of shoes that needed to be re-heeled. i cannot say enough about this little shoe shop, that offers an array of services. i got my shoes back in less than a week and they look brand new. this husband and wife team are as nice as they come. the price was more than reasonable and totally worth the craftsmanship. i highly recommend this business and the owners.

although it's not in their store's name, they do a great job when it comes to copying keys that i couldn't recommend them enough. i walked in thinking that i wouldn't be able to get any help with my key situation since i was missing the "master key," as Grigor put it. getting copies of car keys with a remote is never cheap but when i realized that the offer he made was consistent with the price i remembered being given *years ago* it felt reassuring enough for me. after giving him a chance and being patient with the whole process, he was able to produce not just one new master key, but 2! AND an additional manual copy. i can't thank them both enough. it feels like such a blessing to have both their business and them as owners of it in a place like the peninsula. they've been running for quite a while (over 4 decades apparently), and this should serve as a testament to not only their work ethic but their skills as well. i hope they don't retire soon because they are still very much needed in the community.

Not only did they keep it, but they even reached out to the DMV and a credit card company to see if someone might call me to say they had found it. Grigor and Aida (the owners) recommend putting your phone number inside your purse or billfold to make it easier (for good people like them) to reach you. And I recommend taking your shoes to them. Or belts. Or anything leather. They are amazing!

Aida and Grigor are the best in customer service and deliver quality work. They repaired and modified several pairs of shoes and boots for me. They added zippers to tall boots that were too wide for my calves, resoled, and restitched shoes that I have owned for more than 30 years. They really do a great job and I highly recommend them.

Hidden gem! Great service and "re-redding" of my Louboutin soles, which formerly I had to send to LA and pray they came out well and weren't lost in the mail. Owner Grigor did an amazing job in a professional and timely manner. This little store does everything: repair shoes, luggage, handbags, even make keys. Grigor and Aida at Grand Shoe Service are the best. My husband has taken a couple of leather vests in for alterations and patches to be sewn on them, and their attention to detail is meticulous. The alteration that was made to one of his vests was done exactly as he requested, and it was all done in a very timely manner. They also make keys, repair luggage, and replace zippers, to mention a few other services. They also have a wide array of things they sell and their pricing is very reasonable. It is not often you get such attention to detail at an affordable price. In addition to the above, Grigor and Aida are down-to-earth people with great integrity and work ethic. We love the conversations we have with them, they make you feel right at home the minute you walk in the door. We highly recommend them!

Scrappy repair on a designer handbag. Argued with me that it was the "best " repair job. Eventually offered to refund me. I was in a hurry so I just left. Hopefully Yelp will not cancel my account simply because I posted a poor review, which I know is happening these days, unfortunately. So much for consumer platforms, which is probably why I only saw a good reviews on this place...

I've been going to Grand Shoe Service for at least 10 years or so, and will be a lifelong customer. I found them online based on their wonderful reviews, and thought I'd finally add my own review to the mix. Grigor and Aida are not only absolutely exceptional in their craft, but also the loveliest and kindest of human beings. They do amazing work, and their attention-to-detail is unsurpassed. I've had everything done from renewing (cleaning, waterproofing), reheeling and resoling all types of shoes - giving them new life. And for handbags, they've adjusted the length and fixed straps, and cleaned / waterproofed as well. They will be honest with you when repairing is not worth it and it's time to retire your item. They have handled pretty much any request I've had regarding leather items with great skill and know-how, and at reasonable pricing. On top of that, it turns out they are one of very few authorized Travelpro luggage warranty repair centers in the bay area and have handled several repairs for my luggage just perfectly. In the current world where the price of goods seems to have skyrocketed, it's amazing to have a trusted place like this to get the most mileage out of what you've already got (esp. if it's a favorite or sentimental item you want to use forever), and by the nicest of people.

This shop is legit. I bought a pair of Bally perforated leather sneakers and the left side tore. I contacted Bally customer service and they absolutely refused to do anything about it since it's over two years. I barely wore those things but they still refused. My only solution was to repair them outside of Bally. I went to Grand and they repaired it and I can barely tell if the shoes have been worked on. I am very satisfied with the work and price. If you have a pair of nice shoes that need work you'll have to go to Grand and get your stuff worked on. There isn't many good leather shops out there and I highly recommend Grand Shoe Service.

Airline damaged the handle on my Travelpro luggage, so I looked up some repair spots and this place came up as one of their repair centers. It's run by a lovely couple and I felt very welcomed as we discussed what needed to be done. Brought it in on a Saturday, and had it repaired by Wednesday as good as new. The only unfortunate thing is that these types of repair shops are a dying breed so we need to support them as much as we can. They are as good as their Yelp reviews and I cannot recommend enough.

Been using these booties for awhile and on my last trip, the heel gave up and I was left with a loud booties whenever I walk on a tiled floor. I was around the airport area waiting for a friend when I decided to look for a place that can fix my shoe. Found this place on Yelp and gave it a shot. Owners are very kind and explained thoroughly what I should expect. Came back couple of days after and I got my shoes. Good as new. Would have never thought it was repaired or something. Great service and will be back whenever one of my shoes need fixing.

Miracle Workers! I can't sing enough praises for this incredible shoe store that worked miracles on my favorite pair of dress shoes. After an accident with the wrong polish, my shoes looked damage and multiple stores refused to work on them. This store however, said otherwise. From the moment I explained the situation, they reassured me with their expertise and began to work on restoring my shoes. The level of craftsmanship demonstrated by the professionals here is beyond anything else! I was left with a result of brand new looking shoes. Outstanding service!

Aida and Grigor are truly the best of the best. I was very nervous to drop off my Chanel flats that had several cracks in the back. Aida and Grigor carefully examined the flats, proposed an idea for repair, and were able to fix them in just one week. They transformed a pair of shoes sitting in my closet and made them look as good as new while maintaining the original shoes' quality and craftsmanship. A family-owned store, they are always so friendly and helpful, and do a great job. I have taken a couple of unusual repairs to them and they have always been able to come through with quality work. I highly recommend them!

They have done several of my shoes plus repaired and spa serviced my Chanel bags. Highly recommend. They are so sweet, take good care of my items and are so fast! I keep forgetting to take pictures of my shoes before I use them but they've done several of mine and my husband's Louboutins and have stretched Prada boots for me. Absolutely recommend for shoe and handbag repair. I used to go to Palo Alto to a place recommended by Neimans but this place is closer and very reliable.

I had 2 pairs of shoes done - Chanel and Louboutin. I had to redo the back of the shoes for Chanel and soles for Louboutin. They've done an incredible job and I am very happy with their service.

I've been bringing my Travelpro luggage to Grand Shoe Service for over 20 years, and each time they've done a bang-up job repairing my luggage. From broken zippers, to busted side handles, to retractable handles that have sheared off, they have always been able to take care of my bags. The latest was a nasty tear in the ballistic nylon on a 22-year old Travelpro FlightPro 2 22" Carryon - I managed to force the lid open with the zipper not entirely unzipped and it forced the zipper assembly to pull against the nylon and caused a 2" tear in the ballistic nylon, rendering the bag unusable. A lot of people would toss the bag, but the bags of today are nowhere near the durability and quality from 2 decades ago. I brought the bag back to Grand Shoe Service and the lovely couple were able to rescue the bag from the dead for a fair price (and this is NOT an easy fix - it requires a lot of skill and experience to execute). Great attitude about the business (it's tough these days), but they got it done and I wholeheartedly recommend anyone with good luggage to give Grand Shoe Service a chance to restore your bags to service. I hope never to break my bags, but when I do, I know who to turn to for great work. Many thanks!

I have come here for couple years to get all my Christian Louboutin sole fixed. He is reliable on point very professional job cares about what he does it's noticeable as he leaves a great outcome. I have brought several pairs of shoes in for repair over the last couple of years. The owners go above and beyond to deliver quality service. I have brought in my Oficine Creative boots to have new soles and heels put on. Later, they helped me when the back zippers wouldn't stay up (the back zippers would unzip while walking since when I purchased them but I never did anything about it). The issue is solved and my boots look great!

Grigor saved me by repairing my expensive Italian leather shoes before an emergency meeting in New York I had to leave for the following day. His high quality work and craftsmanship had my shoes looking brand new, and to do it in a timely fashion left me completely happy and satisfied. I've had my boots for over 8 years. One of my most comfortable boots, sturdy sole, soft yet durable leather that developed a nice patina. Due to regular wear and tear as well as lack of care on my part, this designer boot started to look like a beat-up pauper with some pretty nasty scuffs and scrapes. I went here on my friend's recommendation and so glad I did. Grigor did such amazing job finishing the leather and the soles. I can't even see the nicks and scrapes anymore! Finally found a friendly, reasonably-priced, local cobbler who does great work and I will continue to support!

Came in yesterday when my husband's brand new boots broke a hook. The couple that runs this business are the nicest and sweetest people ever. They are very knowledgeable and explained everything. He did not guarantee me any time but called me about 2 hours later and said it was done. Now that is service! And very fair with their prices. If you need any item, shoes, garments, purses or any item made from material, please come here. There is street parking or the large public lot at the corner.

Had my LV crossbody bag's lock repaired by George and he was fantastic! He told me he might have to place a different lock if he won't be able to put back the original one! But voila! He was able to solder back in the original one! So thank you George!! Excellent job!!
