Our tour guide was amazing. Made sure everyone was comfortable on their snowshoes, had what they needed. We talked and got to know him during lunch. This is the best business to go with for the experience. They work on the bikes themselves. They know the wine and can give you suggestions. Love it.

Katie was phenomenal!! We had such a great time from start to finish! I was not as fit as the rest of the group and she checked in with me the entire time! I HIGHLY recommend this company and Katie!!

We had an excellent time on our snowshoeing wine tour! Due to other events, the tour had to be adjusted. Everyone was great to work with and Katie was an excellent guide! She made sure everyone was comfortable and took care of all of us! We highly recommend!

Awesome tour. We have been doing this as an annual friends trip for years. The views, food and wine never disappoints. Keith has been our tour guide each time. He’s fun, easy going and assured a great time for everyone. This tour is a must !

We went snowshoeing with Keith as our guide. He was phenomenal!!! Keith was helpful, informative, knowledgeable, friendly and a joy to be around. He also gave us options on the trail for what route to take. We felt safe and always in good hands. I would recommend Keith. You won’t be disappointed.

Our guide/photographer was Joe and he was very informative about the area and things to do. Lunch was included and was very tasty. My boyfriend and I were the only 2 that went out and he still made it a very enjoyable time! Thanks Joe!!

My family loved doing the Ebike the Vines tour! The staff gave us detailed directions to the wineries we wanted to go to. The lunch was delicious. We didn't end up using the pick up service but it's nice that it's offered. Would definitely recommend!

The vine to wine snowshoe tour is a great experience! Katie was our very helpful and knowledgeable guide, and she helped make it a positive and fun experience for our group! Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend this business enough! I have NEVER worked with a business that is as easy to do business with as Grand Traverse Bike is!!! Our friends were new to e-bikes and rusty bike riders and they loved the experience. Lunch was delivered to Shady Lame for us to enjoy once we arrived and our route was easily to follow. If you are considering this DO IT!!! You won't be disappointed

Staff was helpful and friendly and the rental part went well. Sadly, both bikes got flats. Flats can't always be helped, but the pic shows the condition of the tire on the bike. It was worn through which would contribute to flats. For $44 you should get a bike with tires that aren't past being worn out. They brought us replacements but we lost 1.5 hours waiting. In addition, the replacement they brought my wife was out of adjustment so the shifting didn't work well. Wouldn't shift to some gears as the derailleur was aligned off to one side so 4 of the shifting clicks were the same smallest cog. All in all, super nice folks and they did apologize and offer us a free water for the trouble. However, the flats and bike condition were disappointing. If it stopped there, I would give 2 stars and not be back, but after bringing it to his attention, the owner reached out to apologize and make it right even offering a free rental on another day. Every business will have an issue from time to time, but not every business takes care of the issue and makes things right. Given the quality folks running the business, I'll be back and I'd recommend them since, when there is an issue, they take care of it.

Signed up for the snowshoe tour, unfortunately Mother Nature did not cooperate. Point to point tour, stopping at 3 wineries. Advertised as 3 mile hike (my activity watch logged 2 miles). Started at Sutton bay ciders - what beautiful views! Hiked to Ciconne vineyards, stopped for lunch (provided as part of tour fee) & tasting (about an hour stop), hiked to BigLittle wines (next to mawby) and tasted there. Shuttle picked us up there to return to our cars. They offer a round trip hike (or snowshoe if there's snow). I probably wouldn't do it again, but was something different to try/experience. Company was wonderful to work with - offered refund due to weather if we didn't want to hike (only want to snowshoe) they did refund some for no snowshoe rental.

If I could give them a 10 out of 5 stars I would. It was the BEST experience ever! The whole team was wonderful and made us feel so welcome. Josh, Jordan and Ivy were great. They even stopped during our ride when they saw us on the road to make sure we were not lost. They helped map out our wine tour, made sure we all were comfortable on the e-bikes and took all the time we needed. It was the highlight of our trip and we will do it again next year. Such a fun time. Thank you all!

Friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. We had a great time meeting and talking to them. I'd strongly recommend checking them out for rentals or full cycling support and sales.

This was such a fun experience! The staff was great and very helpful. We liked that we got to do our day on our own time and in our own way. This was the highlight of our trip. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Rented electric bikes for the winery self tour and had an amazing time. The staff was amazing in helping understand the ins-and-outs of the equipment/ region. Bought a few bottles and was able to have them delivered back to the shop so we didn't have to worry about carrying them around the rest of the day. P.S: Can't say enough good things about Jordan who went above and beyond in helping us out when returning bikes. I had left my phone in one of the bike bags and he came back even after the shop had closed to help us out.

The crown jewel of our whole trip to Traverse City was our wine tour via bicycle. Hosted by Sutton's Bay Bikes, under their Grand Traverse Bike Tour brand. We had our choice of a "full tasting menu" of guided and self-guided bicycle tours. You can ride your own bike of course or rent one of theirs. A catered lunch is provided at one of the stops and they even offer to pick up any bottles you choose to acquire along the way. We opted for the self-guided tour of 3 wineries, I rode my own bike, but we opted for an eBike for my significant other who doesn't have as much cycling experience. We set out from the shop on the excellent TART trails system and headed south about 5 miles to our first stop. Mawby specializes in sparkling wines, and while I'm not a huge fan of the sparkling variety, I found quite a few tasty selection including the semi-dry Sandpiper which stood out as just the right balance of sweetness and really hit the spot. The second stop was the Ciccone winery, which if the name seems, familiar, yes it's that Ciccone. None other than Madonna's father owns this picturesque hilltop winery known for it's red wines, which Michigan is not particularly known for. Cassie red is a local favorite, but I preferred the Tremonte, which is a dark red complex blend with a nice semi dry finish. Our last stop of the day, while not technically a winery, was Sutton's Bay Ciders. With no exaggeration, this has to be one of the 10 ten scenic overlooks I have experienced in my life, Perched a top a high hill with 360 degree views of Grand Traverse Bay, it was a glorious place to have our catered lunch that was waiting there for us. 10 different ciders were on tap, with the standouts being the mosiac-hopped and ginger infused varieties. The Sweet Bay dessert wine was also a pleasant surprise but drank more like a liqueur than a wine. The 6-mile ride back to the shop, was mostly downhill and gave us a chance to sober up and take in the scenery as it rambled through vineyards orchards and farms. Upon arriving back at the shop, our wine that we had purchased along the way was ready and waiting. While an early Monday-morning meeting beckoned us to get on the road, the shop in Sutton's Bay would have also been an ideal launching spot for more fun on the bay. Now that I've taken a wine tour by bicycle, I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. Sutton's Bay Bikes and Grand Traverse Bike tours takes all the guess work out of it, and made for a lifetime memory!

Wow! This was an unbelievable experience and totally exceeded all expectations! We had a group of 12 in town for a celebration weekend and planned to have our Saturday be filled with the biking wine tour. From the beginning, things were so smooth. Scheduling for a group this size was easy and very accommodating. Lunch was included in our tour and Grand Traverse was able to meet all dietary restrictions, which is often hard to do with a larger group. Our guide, Casey, was very knowledgeable about the area. He informed us he was there for our group and wanted our expectations met during our tour. We were ahead of schedule and he was able to get us in for an extra tasting and a quick visit to a brewery. He made the entire tour enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Grand Traverse Bike Tours to anyone in the area, whether local or tourist. We are already talking about the possibility of visiting again in the winter for the snowshoe tour!

This operation knows how to deliver a spectacular day of biking on the Leelanau Bike trail. Jordan made sure our e-bikes were in good working order and we knew how to operate the bikes. Jordan also went over the bike trail and winery trail in detail. Very helpful!! Highly recommend booking a trail winery self-guided tour with this company.

3 girlfriends and I booked a self-guided Leelanau Wine Trail tour with e-bikes. I don't think the e-bikes would be necessary for someone in shape, but they were fun to use and made the hills so easy (a definite plus after drinking wine). The majority of the itinerary was on a scenic walk/bike trail. GTBT had the tour set up for us with stops, reservations, and lunch. It was so nice not to have to plan anything-- however, optional stops were provided, too. The staff was very friendly and responsive- meeting us at the next stop to exchange a bike that had a seat issue. They were even okay with us using the bikes until after hours if we wanted to do more exploring. It was a relaxing and memorable day for our group, a definite highlight of our trip to Michigan.

For my friend's bachelorette party, we wanted to do something different. My friend is an active person, so we did the bike tour to 4 wineries. A group of 9 of us (mixed levels) were guided by Tom (it was his first tour!) to the wineries. The route was a little challenging in some areas, but was pretty easy for the most part. Most of the wineries offered a great environment (with the exception of Ciccone - it was boring!). The tour offered a luncheon for our group at the 3rd winery. It totally exceeded expectations - picnic set-up with mason jars, delicious sandwiches (and salads for my Paleo friends), other snacks. It was perfect! Thanks for such a great day!

The self-guided tour was exactly what we were looking for! We were up from Chicago on a weekend trip and wanted to bike around to the different wineries but weren't sure how to go about it. Grand Traverse Bike Tours made it super easy with great bikes, helmets, water bottles, a map and guidance on where to go, super close to the start of the trail, and lunch delivered! They even pick up all the wine you buy along the way so no need to figure out how to lug it on your bike. All in all, a relaxing, casual, wine-filled day with beautiful scenery along the way. I'm recommending this trip to everyone I know!

2nd year in the row of doing the self-guided tour and it was even better (who would have imagined?!) this year! We wanted to do a little more riding the 2nd day of doing the tour and the staff did a great job helping us plan the route and giving directions. LOVE the tours and the staff here...

My husband and I recently rented bikes for the day to cycle to wineries around Suttons Bay. We had a blast!!! Access to the TART trail (paved) is right around the corner from the bike shop. This trail takes you very close to four wineries (Mawby/Ciccone/Chateau De Leelanau/Willow) so you don't have to travel much on actual roads if you don't want to. We chose to do only the bike rental (not the self-guided tour), and the peeps at the shop gave us a map and advice on how to best get to the wineries. Trip went really smoothly. Rental was fast, drop-off afterwards was fast. Will definitely be doing this again on next trip to the area.

My wife and I rented two mountain bikes for a self-guided tour of TART during a brief visit to Traverse City for a family wedding. The mountain bikes were in excellent shape and performed well. We loved the great service of this bike tour group - especially the fact that they would drop off and pick up the bikes directly at our hotel. When we explained that we would only have a few hours to ride the bikes early one morning, they suggested to drop the bikes off the night before. It worked great. We loved biking around the area, the lakes are beautiful and this is the best bike rental I've ever done. Thanks Nick!

Four of us recently rented bikes from Grand Traverse Bike Tours to do a self-guided tour of the wineries and it turned out to be a great experience. Beyond just providing the bikes, Nick mapped out our day, provided water bottles (stainless steel; a fun souvenir!), and had us choose our lunch from a menu of many options before we left for our ride. The bike trail to the wineries is paved and away from the highway for a comfortable ride. When we reached the winery that we had planned for lunch, it was laid out beautiful on a tablecloth, and the food was phenomenal. The lunch alone was worth the cost of adding the self-guided tour to our rental. In the end, we had a great day, and the service here definitely made the difference. I highly recommend this for a fun day activity to others visiting the area!

Excellent establishment! They provide fantastic bikes along with water bottles, a map of the best wineries to hit and to top it off they bring you a huge lunch! They also picked up all of our wine for us and had it ready when we returned. It's about 14 miles to go from suttons bay to the furthest winery and back but you can shorten it. Definitely recommend these guys, Caroline was the best!!

We took the self-guided wine tour and then came back again to rent bicycles. The bikes and service were top notch. We highly recommend this shop and biking around the area, which is beautiful. Very nice people. A truly great experience!

My boyfriend and I wanted to explore all of the wineries in the area but were not a big fan of being carted around in a car. They helped us pick a good path and offered tips to avoid biking up the larger hills. They picked up the wine we purchased and brought it back to the bike shop which was a huge perk for us. The lunch they provided was great too, we had expected just simple sandwiches but it was a whole gourmet meal where we got to choose specifically what we wanted and we ate it outside at one of the wineries. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to see more of the area and make it more personalized!

This shop is the best. The bikes are in tip-top shape. Nick is super helpful. We would rent bikes from GTBT in a minute! He even added a fender and front storage pouch-thing without me even asking. He's the best!
