Google
Delicious food and pie! It is a cafe-style restaurant, so be prepared to hear your name called once your food is ready. The pot pie was phenomenal and the pies for dessert were amazing as well.

Google
The atmosphere is warm and peaceful with a friendly and helpful staff. The Mediterranean Sandwich and cherry pie were delicious. I would definitely visit again.

Google
The Cherry Pie Crumble is amazing. I loved the sweetness and the tartness. I would definitely get another and I would love to try the blueberry pie and apple pie…. Over time of course cuz I am sure the calories are high 😂. Really good. My wife had the Lemon blueberry pie. Creamy, light lemon flavor. Could be more blueberry flavor but overall good. If you want light and airy, go for the lemon blueberry one.

Google
Cherry one is not my taste but I literally LOVED lakeshore berry one. It was DELICIOUS!!!!😋 $3.99 pie slice and coffee offer also! Love it.

Google
I had the chicken noodle soup. The noodles tasted as if they were homemade. Half a salad is more than enough. The servings are very plentiful. I can meters us are located outside of the restaurant. The fiesta chicken salad was amazing. It could have used more lettuce but they did not skimp on the toppings or the chicken.

Google
The pies are tooooo sweet, you can’t handle this sweetness nor the calories! I believe it’s overrated and could be way less sweet , you also feel the taste of artificial sweetners in the cherries(seems like they arent fresh as well). The special things about it are the crumbles on top and the puff pastry layer as a base. We tried both the blueberry and Cherry pies.

Google
The cherry crumb pie is amazing and to die for! Full of flavor and wish I bought more to bring home. The service wasn't the best and was out of vanilla so could not make us vanilla lattes

Google
Amazing! Delicious food, very friendly staff and spacious interior! Both sweet and savory pies. Portions are big so plan accordingly! Fully recommend chicken focaccia and blueberry pie!

Yelp
We arrive in Traverse city Tuesday night, and had a horrible meal somewhere else. Today we were enjoying all the wonderful shops downtown It was almost noon and we were very hungry. We went into the Grand Traverse Pie Company. The assistant manager was running the cash register. He showed us All the wonderful pies to choose from, and suggested looking over the menu posted overhead. We had the chicken pot pie combo lunch. The salad was divine, fresh spring greens, and huge. The pot pie Was THE BEST I have ever had. Too full we had to ask for a to go container for the pie

Yelp
Took advantage of a great special.... Chicken Pot Pie, Side Salad and a Slice of Pie for $13. Great deal, and a lot of awesome food! The Chicken Pot Pie was amazing, the flavor was great, but the crust was spectacular. And the of course, the pie! So many to choose from. I chose the Cherry Crumble and my wife had the Apple Pecan Carmel. Both where excellent and I would have a tough time picking a favorite. So many places to eat in Travers City, it's really hard to pick just one for lunch. But you won't be disappointed with this one.

Yelp
Pure michigan=pure disappointment! Bought the regular cherry and the cherry crumble full pies. Both were raw on the bottom! The regular cherry was so bad that raw dough turned into goop! I literally could've bought any frozen pie from any store and it would've been better!

Cris T.

Yelp
Came again before we left town for our free pie courtesy of the pie dough club. I got the broccoli and cheddar quiche, that comes with a slice of pumpkin bread, and the hubs got the ham and cheddar scrambled egg wrap. The quiche was delicious-light, flakey, buttery crust with light egg filling. Pumpkin bread was also yummy. Scrambled wrap was just ok.

John L.

Yelp
My wife and I each had a slice of blueberry pie-- one regular and one crumble top. Both were EXCELLENT! Never had better pie.

Nick P.

Yelp
We always grab a few pies when in town. Apple and cherry are our top favorites. We have not eaten lunch there yet but plan to soon. The staff works fast even with a big line so make sure to stay it's well worth the wait.

Heather M.

Yelp
This place is a Traverse Scott staple that every local and tourist needs to check out once. The cherry pies are amazing and you can't go wrong with any of them. The chicken pot pie is hands down the best I've ever had. It would made your grandma cry!

Sandra W.

Yelp
We put this place in our GPS on our final leg from SWFL to Charlevoix! We make trips here every week or so for their cherry crumble pie & muffins! Yum!!

June H.

Yelp
We had pie and coffee which was excellent! I wanted more. Our table was dirty and needed to be wiped down. Nobody wiped it down. The service was excellent. What we did not like was the fact that the place could've been cleaner and they had two unisex bathrooms. I don't want to use a bathroom where there's urine on the floor! The bathrooms were filthy.

Yelp
I look forward to cherry pie every trip to Traverse City. For a nice fast breakfast or lunch this local eatery is not high end, but it is a true delight.

Abigail E.

Yelp
Pie for breakfast? Yes please! We stopped in to try the variety of pies offered at GTPC. I ordered the cherry crumb and it was delicious! With each bite the flavor and texture got better and better. After sampling other people's orders I was very happy with my selection. The blueberry peach was too sweet and lacked flavor. The cherry peach was better because of the bright cherry flavor, but the peach just took away from the star of the show. I personally thought the pastry pies were too soggy between the top and bottom layers. The crumb really was the perfect balance of soft, crunchy, sweet and tart. I would highly recommend stopping in and trying the cherry crumb dream!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
For my fellow Los Angeles folks, I liken Grand Traverse Pie Company to Marie Callendar's --- solid pie with great flavors but GTP is even better because there's a local twist. I love that they use MI suppliers, ingredients when they can even though they're a chain now. The founders' story really resonates with me as well since they were native Michiganders living in sunny San Diego & learned their art from the Julian Pie company in CA! Anyways, we were close by so I stopped in for a mini Grand Traverse Cherry Crumb (Our top selling pie made with tart Michigan Montmorency cherries, sweetened up with love and a toasty crumb topping.) We took it home for a next day heat up & eat. Delicious! This location looks to be street parking only. 279/365

Yelp
Very yummy with a big selection, but a bit on the pricey side. If you're in Traverse City, it's a definite must stop though for the experience.

Gloria G.

Yelp
I had the chicken salad on a croissant. The chicken salad is very good but the croissant is basically white bread. Please improve your bread and I'd be a regular customer.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Yummy blueberry pie is great yummy. That was my fave. We also liked apple. Didn't like mountain berry that much because the topping was less crumbly

Sabra Chicki D.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in traverse city. The pies are always fresh and delicious. They are always coming up with new flavors too. Can't wait for chocolate pecan pie this week. Cherry Peach crumble is one of my favorites. I mean where do you get fresh, fresh fruit pies anymore? They also have soups, salads and quiche. Nice chill atmosphere. A must go to lunch place or just stop for pie! I hear cinnamon rolls are to die for.

J B.

Yelp
Chicken pot pie was absolutely delicious!!! Came in cute packaging, very filling, reminded me of my moms homemade pot pie!

Amethyst W.

Yelp
We walked up to this location. It was super crowded maybe because is the cherry festival time. We ordered the GT lunch combos and got the Reuben and Italian wedding, Reuben and mac &cheese, and Reuben with strawberry fields salad. We also got the single sliced pies to go with the meal. It was all really good (except for the max&cheese - it wasn't very warm and under cooked) and reasonably priced. We were starved so I didn't get any pictures of the food!

Michael C.

Yelp
If you are here to just get a slice of pie, give stars. The pie is amazing, every single one we tried we could not stop raving about. The rest of the food is good not great, we got the breakfast sandwich and a soup and salad combo. I'd definitely recommend to stop for pie, but nothing else on the menu is a must have.

Carolyn T.

Yelp
Get the cherry crumb pie! Seriously. I had to make sure I led my review with that important snippet in case you stopped reading there. ;) Grand Traverse Pie Company's pie is so good that after trying a slice that we came back the day we left Traverse City to buy a whole pie to bring home. Because WOW. They are taking all the necessary COVID precautions. This was also actually the first place I ever used a public bathroom during COVID, and everything was clean. We were a little disappointed that they were out of the pot pies when we arrived around lunch time, but the food we enjoyed in its place was still tasty. The star of the show, however, was without a doubt the pie! Seriously, I still daydream about it from time to time. I shared the pie with my family at home, and they've brought it up several times since extolling its virtues. It's that good! I will definitely make an excuse to visit Traverse City again sometime in 2021 so I can get that delicious cherry crumb pie again (and try another flavor, too)!

Chloe W.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant. It's fast casual style with tons of options. My favorite is the 3 course meal with pot pie. The chicken pot pie is delicious and the crust is flaky and buttery. The salad is perfectly refreshing to go along with the pie. The pies are to die for. The crumb pies are my favorite but they're all good options. A little on the pricey side but worth it. Super convenient located in downtown TC.

Marcus J.

Yelp
Tried the chicken salad sandwich. Can't pinpoint the secret ingredient but it was delicious. The Michigan kettle chips were a nice touch as well. Overall the food was great and I will order it again and recommend that you do to!

Nancy M.

Yelp
Delicious!!! We had quiche with salad and banana bread and a slice of cherry pie. Every bite was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Hang N.

Yelp
All their pies are amazing!! We love the berry crumb pie. They also serve sandwiches and soups but we only came in for the pie. The mountain berry pie is a little tart but full of all berries. The strawberry rhubarb pie was my sisters favorite, had a delicious layer of cream cheese. I also loved the key lime pie. Just the right amount of tartness and sweetness!

Sharon H.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch. The menu reminds me a little of Panera...sandwiches, wraps, soup, salad with a pick 2 option. They have quiche, pot pies and dessert pies too. The food was along the lines of Panera as far as quality. The cherry and chocolate pies were very good and the reason I gave an extra star. Service was what you expect for a chain restaurant staffed with teens. Stop for the pie but there are better options for dinner all over TC.

Rose C.

Yelp
Little slice of heaven in here! Blueberry crumb oh my! Good salads, soups and sandwiches too. Always fresh pie, nice lunch stop. Cherry chicken salad and tomato bisque is a must if you've never been here. Daily quiche also.

Jisha M.

Yelp
Now this is pie! Stopped in here on a rainy Labor Day afternoon for a pie to bring home. Line was out the door but moved quickly and efficiently; took about 15 minutes to walk out the door with pie in hand. I ordered the Michigan Summer Pie with Michigan cherries and blueberries. My only regret is that I only got one. Pie was gone in less than 2 Days once I brought it home. My only issue is that they did not update the available pies so you could wait in line for 15 minutes only to find out that they are all sold out.

Ami S.

Yelp
Great pie! I had a slice of the ABC pie and the strawberry roubart. It would be nice if they had the prices of their pie, slices on a board. They have outdoor seated added onto their street during covid. Not so sure about other times. Service is fast and efficient.

Carol N.

Yelp
Absolutely the best cherry streusel pie. Always stop here for lunch and buy a pie to take home. Comfortable seating area with clean tables. Self bussing like a Panera. Lunch entrees are always good. Can't go wrong with any of the baked goods. Nice am and late pm specials.

Ann D.

Yelp
There are probably zero other places on this planet where you can get a slice of quiche, pumpkin bread, pie, and a salad for under ten dollars. Remarkable value for even more remarkable flavor. This is my favorite lunch spot.

Jake V.

Yelp
First time in Traverse City, only here for one night and I heard I had to get a cherry pie. I got a slice of cherry crumb and it certainly didn't disappoint. A nice cup of coffee and a delicious slice of pie was a perfect afternoon snack. I hope I get a chance to come again.

Michael N.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorites great service and homade pie and don't forget to try the breakfast sandwich and add bacon you will not be disappointed.

Shawn A.

Yelp
Amazing fresh sandwiches. The cherry pie is also amazing. While staying in Traverse City, we ordered sandwiches to go everyday before heading out for hiking and sightseeing.

Andrea S.

Yelp
What a cool place. If you like pie- come here. Cherry pie, an OBVIOUS choice- it was delicious. Ask for it warmed with ice cream. There is literally NO another way to eat it. Savory much??? Get the chicken pot pie. The crusts are so flaky and buttery. They are very efficient with their line, you can tell they have a lot of experience dealing with a crowd-- so, with that being said- know what you want when you get in line. Great place for lunch and a sweets. Reasonably priced.

Herbert E.

Yelp
'Ello chaps! Grand Traverse Pie Company is Northern Michigan's version of Panera Bread, only slight (ok a lot!) better. GTPC known for their pies, of all things. Talking Cherry pies, apple pies, chicken pot pies - if it's a pie, they got it! Want a slice or a whole pie, they got it! Want it now or later? They got it. Want it shipped somewhere? They can do that too! GTPC is a quick service (order at the counter and wait for it to be prepared) style restaurant, with a few dozen scattered throughout Michigan. Their menu offers an array of sandwiches, soups, and pies. They also have a DOUGH rewards program, where frequent customers can earn points. Food is top notch and fantastic on a cooler weather day.

Katie F.

Yelp
Yummmmm. Just get the cherry pie. JUST GET THE CHERRY PIE. I ordered apple to give us some variety since my daughter ordered cherry. I was SO SAD I didn't just order the cherry. It's the absolute best pie on the menu.

Kristen M.

Yelp
TC is a great place to vacation and after discovering Grand Traverse Pie Company, TC got even better - didn't think that was possible! We walked in to see a case full of various pies and delicious treats. I was overwhelmed because I didn't even know where to start. I wanted to try every pie! Since we were in TC, the cherry capital of the world, I had to get a cherry pie. Scott opted for the apple pie. We were given the option to heat the slices and top them with whipped cream which was very nice. We decided to take the "lighter option" and only heat them up :P A few minutes later, the slices were ready. From there, it was just a blur. Scott and I didn't say a word...just various versions of "mmmm" while inhaling our pies. The crust was moist, flaky, and just the right thickness. The pies were loaded with fruit and the crumble on top added a bit of a crunchy texture to compliment the creamy, sweet goodness of the fruit. My mouth is watering just thinking of that pie!!

TheCakeslol ..

Yelp
When I get a call for the pie this place delivers, I'm sure there are mom and pop places that do it just as well or better but this places consistency and pricing is just too good

Bounlay B.

Yelp
OMG all their food was amazing. We came here for breakfast and ended up getting: chicken pot pie, breakfast sandwich, cherry turnover and cinnamon rolls. Their chicken pot pie was perfect and gooey. The turnovers had fresh cherry and not canned. The cinnamon rolls were my favorite with maple not cream cheese frosting. Soo good I went back in and took 2 more home on my 6 hour drive.

Sheena B.

Yelp
Always great food and haven't had a bad pie yet. Service is quick and friendly. So much of a selection for pies whether you want the pastry style or more if a cold creamy texture. My kids love coming for soup and pie.

Donna L.

Yelp
The best muffin we've ever had! We had a cherry pecan muffin and our son had blueberry pie A la mode. Everything was very clean and great staff!

Francesca B.

Yelp
So sure all I got was a slice of pie and a large coffee, but that's all I needed to give this place 5 stars. The workers were friendly but the main attraction is pie. Sure you can have a sandwich or soup, but don't deny yourself a slice of pie. If you're too full, buy it for the road. This was my first time inside GTPC and I'm glad I walked in. I got a slice of the TC cherry crumble pie and it's not too sweet nor too tart. Just pure perfection. Definitely worth the stop, and I will definitely buy their pies again.

Joseph C.

Yelp
The price hero of excellent quality. The weird thing is, you can actually get them cheaper from other outlets. You can be confident that if you run across one of their pies in a grocery store, you are going to get a great pie at a decent price.

Cindy H.

Yelp
My first dining out experience since Covid-19. Masks required to enter; thank you! Safe distancing with tables and waiting in line. Great food! Had the pot pie combo; salad was fresh with beautiful greens and pot pie had flaky, delicious crust. I was too full to enjoy my dessert pie but I feel confident it will be equally delicious (got a to go container). I'll be back!

Joel L.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint. Had a chicken salad wrap and a cherry crumble crust pie. I was not disappointed. It was so fresh and delicious I had to refrain from getting more. I am hitting this spot up again before we leave this town so get some stuff to go. Will definitely be coming back here in the future for more deliciousness. The prices were extremely reasonable for the quality of food and service. Looking forward to more.

Liza F.

Yelp
This place brings back so many memories in Traverse! It was a must go when I visited this weekend. They have a great selection of pies, and from what I remember, an awesome lunch selection as well. You can get a slice of pie or a whole pie to go. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who's stopping by in Traverse.

Chad-Aimee B.

Yelp
Great sandwiches - had the turkey cranberry today with the butternut squash and pumpkin pie for dessert! EXCELLENT PIES!! I would have liked more turkey on the sandwich but in all I was satisfied. A cozy atmosphere with the colors and fireplace and the location is prime for visiting the downtown area of TC.

Brian B.

Yelp
Stopped in for a piece of pie and was not disappointed. The sandwiches were good, it amazing but filling and came out pretty quick. Would stop in again for sure.

Angela R.

Yelp
Really bad pie - all crust no fruit. If it's your namesake, you should put more care into it. Feels like a pure margin play.
