The hotel provides public pools set among manicured trees (indoor pools are nude while outdoor pools require swimsuits) and a robust spa program offering treatments from aromatherapy and full-body massages to Taiwanese-style acupressure." - Clarissa Wei

This hotel is incredible! My husband and I planned a short trip to Taiwan and we stayed here for the first 3 nights. We booked the Grand View Suite 6F and were blown away by the views and the private hot bath on the balcony. The interior bed space is a bit on the smaller side but worth it for the huge balcony and privacy. The hotel staff are accommodating and helpful. We booked massages, enjoyed the outdoor pool, and our Taiwanese breakfast each morning. Worth every penny!

It's easily accessible even though it's uphill. Just take metro to Beitou and then the bus to the Beitou Cultural Museum stop, walked a little distance downhill and we're here. We were pleasantly surprised with the facilities. They're clean and minimalist, exactly my taste. I booked in advanced for a private onsen room (90 mins) for two and they allowed us to add on one pax for a fee. So this is great for a family of 3-4. The private onsen is well equipped. Definitely go for the ones with floor window if you like some fresh air. After onsen, you may visit the museum and have Kaiseki ryori or dine at the Michelin recommended hotel restaurant.

It was my first time at this resort, and I wish we had booked a night or two longer! The price is definitely steep compared to other resorts in the area, but personally I felt it was worth it. A shuttle bus picked us up from Beitou Station, and we were able to use the public hot springs and sauna/steam room before our room was ready. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. The room was absolutely gorgeous and spacious with a private hot spring. Snacks and tea were provided as well as a fully stocked drinks fridge - definitely required for hydration after all that hot spring-ing. There is also an outdoor pool and warm spring, but we didn’t use that since I didn’t bring a swim suit and the weather wasn’t great. Breakfast was included and we could choose from a Taiwanese or Western style set. Will definitely return and perhaps even make it an annual tradition!

I initially visited for their 2hour hot spring experience back in March and really enjoyed it, that when I returned to Taipei, I decided to stay here for the night as guest this time. The staffs are very kind, and the rooms are fantastic. They offer variety and lots of complimentary snacks and drinks, along with welcome plum wine drinks. Their breakfast was also very delicious and I could clearly tell why they have michelin. Great stay, made me come back!

Google
This was such a great find! We loved our experience and wished we could have stayed the night. The 90-minute hot spring room reservation was definitely worth it and incredibly relaxing. We chose the private outdoor option, which offered a lovely atmosphere. A minor note: we could hear our neighbor's conversation (and phone call). If you are sensitive to noise, I highly recommend choosing the non-outdoor private room option for maximum tranquility. Bonus Tip: They offer a complimentary shuttle service back down to the MRT afterward, making the departure super convenient!

Google
A serene and indulgent retreat An excellent two-night stay in this elegant Grand View Resort Beitou. Set on higher ground, the location is peaceful and ideal for a private escape. The room was exceptionally spacious, featuring a private onsen and a separate cold plunge, allowing complete relaxation without leaving the room. Breakfast offered a choice of Western or Eastern sets, both healthy and thoughtfully prepared. The resort is also conveniently close to local attractions, all within easy walking distance. While premium in price, it is well worth it for those seeking privacy, comfort, and total relaxation. Highly recommended.

Google
Beautiful location! We got the private onsen room and it was well worth having access to both hot and cold bath. The employees are very helpful and checked up on us constantly. Everyday after 5pm they would stop by with plum wine. When choosing the breakfast, we preferred the taiwanese option over the western.

Google
The balcony and private hot tub were lovely. The spa was nice. The staff attempted to be helpful but we're often remiss in asking if we wanted dessert or asking if we wanted a coffee refill or remembering we took milk with our coffee etc. The food was disappointing. We had 3 dinners, 1 in each restaurant and 3 breakfasts of different types. The grouper was overcooked. The flavors blah. We had better food in street markets and roadside stands. Everything was way overpriced. While.we relaxed and had a lovely time the overall experiencing was disappointing and not worth the price.

Yelp
This resort is A+. Tucked in beitou near Yangmingshan national park, you will get what you ask for her. Secluded mountainside hotspring retreat with impeccable service. Rooms were spacious, large, and came with all sorts of nice amentiies (ie., Pineapple cakes, fruits). You have your own private sulfur bath with a separate cold plunge pool to really make it a private, intimate experience. The public baths include a section for hotel guests and another for people who purchase day passes. The public baths were next level - couple of hot pools, cold pools, sauna and steam rooms, stocked with all sorts of drinks for you to enjoy. Easily can spend a half day here relaxing and enjoying a piece of mind. Food here was next level too. There are a few restaurants on premises, each at fine dining level. There's a french restaurant (which we didnt get to enjoy) and a chinese/taiwanese restaurant. Breakfast is included in your stay and it includes this AMAZING Taiwanese style kaiseki spread - about like 8-10 small dishes, with the stewed taiwanese pork over niangao + winter melon soup free for refills. There's also a shuttle bus service that you can sign up complimentary that takes you to Beitou MRT station, which its surroundings has its own unique street food, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Overall - very very pleased with this experience and my stay here. Will be back for more

Yelp
We came here for a private hot spring experience, so we didn't stay at the hotel. We had a fantastic time spending an hour in a private hot springs. The room and bathroom were clean and came with cold bottled water which was nice. Loved the ability to keep the water at the temperature I wanted, and the private space so it was just my husband and myself. Hard to walk up the hill to this resort, but worth it for this experience.

Yelp
My husband really wanted to do hot spring in Beitou during our Taiwan trip, so I had to do some intense research because we have 2 kids (5yo + 2.5yo) since many resorts will not allow under 12yo children in their springs for safety reasons. We almost settled on going to either the public pool or another nearby family resort, but ended up picking Grand View and we're SO glad we did! We were traveling with my sister and brother-in-law so we opted to get a private room instead so we didn't have to be in the springs with other people. Usually their private rooms will only allow up to 4 people due to space constraints, but we were able to get our kids in since my oldest is JUST below the height threshold. The room package gives you 90-min and you can pay additional to extend the time. The kids (and the adults alike) had a really fun time soaking in the hot spring, and we definitely will come back again on our next trip!

Yelp
My parents really enjoyed their stay. Excellent service, great hot spring tubs and good food.

Yelp
I came here to experience the natural sulfur spring. It was recommended by many places as one of the best places for it. The price wasn't cheap, but it was super worth it. I came here for the 4 hr deal open sauna/spa. The con is that everyone must be naked (first time experiencing this) The area had multiple (at least 3) pools that have natural sulfur spring going thru. The natural sulfur may not smell nice at beginning, but its healing and relaxing properties were awesome. The place also had hot stone area for relaxing, a hot steam room, and other facilities. The deal that I purchased offered free drink and some snacks. There were other deals that offered lunch/dinner, I do not think this is worth it as the free complimentary food is more than good enough The resort offers an awesome service as it provided with free shuttle service to the subway station. And they were very attentive to your needs as well Definitely worth coming this place for relax and enjoyment : )

Yelp
I have nothing to compare this hot spring experience to as it was my first, but I don't think it will be my last! We reserved the smaller inside/outside room since all the other ones were booked, but it was really all you needed. We had to wait a bit as the previous guest were running behind, but they gave us bamboo charcoal water while waiting. The inside room was very basic with a long couch and chair, sink, bathroom with a bidet (yay) and a fairly spacious shower, but really most of our time was spent outside. The outside spa area was very peaceful and pretty, and the makeshift table came in handy to eat our snacks. We brought our own, but we were also provided with a complimentary dessert consisting of tofu and red/green beans which was slightly sweet and quite refreshing. For the noobs, be advised the water is a white sulfur spring, so if you start smelling rotten eggs, this is why! Overall, I enjoyed our time at the hot springs, it was fairly relaxing (minus the noise from upstairs and the dog barking) and quite an unique experience. BTW for the Pokémon lovers this is a great spot to play =). Oh yeah if you want robes, there is a minimum spending requirement of 2800 NTW, but they were nice to give us complimentary ones, but it was a bit short/airy.

Yelp
4 years later, here's a review update this review is strictly on the private hot spring experience. we came by on a whim so the only private hot spring room available was the one that's without windows or opening to the outside. in conclusion, felt like a prison of some sort, just strange dimly weird vibes, along with that the facility shows serious signs of aging and the cleanliness was def questionable. the lady guiding us to our private hot spring wasn't all that friendly and didn't take much time to go over the facility and instructions. $70 usd for 90 minutes of jail cell vibes, we'll be smarter next time to either wait or make reservations ahead.

Yelp
Very nice hotel situated on the hill up from Beitou park etc. I think all the rooms have a private bath which can get hot spring. Be cautious about which room you get. Some rooms face directly into other hotels. Which makes it a bit awkward walking around/bathing naked in the hot spring. Other rooms, you look out and see graves on the mountainside. They have one main restaurant on the ground floor which serves breakfast. They serve set meal - western or asian. No buffet. But you can get extras of anything you liked in your meal. (So sort of like all-you-can-eat table service). The food quality is pretty good. Seems healthy, and tasty at the same time. Their lunch food was also yummy. However, service was slow... They have outdoor pool. Must wear swimming cap. There is also a small pool of hot spring outside. Have to register at the spa before using the outdoor facilities and they will provide you with a towel.

Yelp
This hot springs resort is amazing. The room was spacious. The out door private hot springs was superb. Our 90 minutes session went by very quickly. We enjoyed every second of it. Next time we will book an overnight stay so we can soak in the hot springs a few times throughout the day and night. Customers get the privilege of fine dining at this amazing resort with world class cuisine at 50% discount. We chose Cest Bon restaurant and we think it should receive 2 stars Michelin rating. Great prices and top notch quality food with an amazing ambiance and priceless view of the greenery mountain.

Yelp
We used the public hot spring. My nephew used it [the men's section) loved the tranquility and that it was not crowded. It was his first time. He would give it 5 stars For me and my mother, the women's side was a little crowded. Used towels were on the lounge chair so we did not know if they were reserved. I wish they were more accommodating toward bigger size or modest people and provide robes rather than a bath towel. For the price, I was disappointed I would give it 2 stars. But an interesting experience. Remember to get a shuttle because it is a climb up the hill The average was 3 stars

Yelp
This place is wonderful! It's hard to believe it's only 30 minutes or so from the bustling city. It's not cheap ($750USD a night, meals included), but it was worth it. We had a large room with an open air deck and a hot springs deep soaking tub with mountain and valley views. I was grateful we stayed overnight, because we were able to watch the stars and clouds overhead from our private soaking tub, and woke up the next morning to a hot springs bath. I could have stayed many more days and would have been very happy to do so.

Yelp
Went here for a spa trip. They have free shuttle from the MRT and the bus comes every hour. Be sure to arrive early, if you did not reserve a private spa room. They run out quickly. Their service is great and the place was very clean. Be sure to not close the bathroom doors, otherwise you'll be stuck in there!

Yelp
Glad my boyfriend was able to find this place on our trip to Taiwan. For $80 USD, you can rent your very own hot spring. That costs only covers two people though...they'll have incremental charges for each additional person. It's a two hour duration and it comes with a cute little hotel room with a personal toilet and shower. You even get little pudding dessert to eat during your stay. The hotel itself is beautiful. If you're the leisurely vacationer, I highly recommend staying here as a little getaway. The staff and service is also great. They offer a shuttle to take you from the train station to the hotel, Overall, the experience was amazing. I came out relaxed and rejuvenated for the rest of my trip.

Yelp
Beautiful place and setting, excellent service so you can enjoy the spa, meal, and environment totally

Yelp
This place was super relaxing and everyone was very hospitable. The baths were very nice and the snacks available were awesome as well. The cookies--(chocolate)... were divine and the coffee found in the snack area of the spa baths. The tea afterwards was wonderful in the lobby as I was served by a desk clerk. We wished we had stopped by earlier to see the beautiful views, but with so much to see.. we didnt get too. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I hope to visit again. Jayne K.

Yelp
The hot springs was a really great experience. Space and room was beautiful. The restaurant was horrible. Go for the hot springs and go eat elseware. Great view.

Frank L.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed. It's the worst I had tried in Taipei. The private house is really lousy. It's more like 2 star motel room. The only reason I still give it 2 stars is because of the hot spring water quality is not bad.

Yelp
Really amazing view!!! Located right on the mountain hill overlooking Beitou with very zen interior design. The outdoor pool is small but the ambience and decor sets a very relaxing mood. It's a great escape from Taipei city. If you are not looking to stay overnight, the resort offers hourly packages where you can enjoy the hot springs and facilities. To extra pamper yourself they also have a great spa offering very high end services, such as massages, facials and more. They provide shuttle bus from XinBeitou MRT station.

J S.

Yelp
Grand View Resort is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. I used the day public hot springs. 1800 or about $60 US. A beautiful facility. The public hot springs has two hot pools of varying degrees, two cold pools, hot rock bed, sauna and steam room. They provide water, soda, snacks and fruit. Top notch. Very clean. The facility is segregated by sex, so no bathing suits. As long as you are comfortable hanging around with a bunch of naked strangers, I highly recommend. It is quite a hike to get up to it, but they run a shuttle for free from the Beitou MTR station.
