Grand Walkerhill Seoul

The Grand Walkerhill Hotel was so amazing! At the level and caliber of the hotel, it was a simple and grand hotel. Room itself was clean and loved the counter space where I sat to work and drink my coffee. Pressure of the shower was amazing!

Generally this is a very nice, upscale hotel, and I experienced very good service. Yet, I have some complains about the rooms. While they are large, the are in many regards super impractical. Some examples: - There are almost no light switches, most lights need to be switched from one panel on the far side of the room. - Half of the bathroom is part of the main room.# - There are no towel hangers. - The bathtub is too small to bathe in. Then why not just have a real shower? - The closet only has hangers, no space to store anything that cannot be hanged. - There seems to be only a single free power socket in the entire room. I think I have never before see a hotel room that made so bad use of its space. Also I disliked the coordination of the breakfast, particularly on busy Sundays. The hotel would admit people to breakfast only at two fixed times. If you come in between, you will be sent away, even if there might be free tables. The food is great, though - although expensive. The restaurant gives you stunning views across southern Seoul. The location is okay. I was here for a conference, hence did not regularly have to commute to downtown. In comparison to the rest of Seoul, this neighbourhood is relatively quiet. There is a nice hike up some smaller mountain range just behind the hotel. Having said all that, after having stayed here for almost a week I have to say that I had a really enjoyable stay and I have gotten to like the hotel a lot. It has a lot of nice bars and other hidden gems that make the stay here quite worthwhile. I would definitely come back.

I visited Seoul and decided to stay at Grand Walkerhill Seoul for a peaceful family getaway. I usually stay in central areas like Myeong Dong or Gangnam, but this time I wanted quiet, nature, and a slower pace-- and it turned out to be the best decision I've made in a long time.||I booked the Triple Stay package, which include a Honeymoon Suite and access to the Club Lounge that truly defined my stay.||From breakfast to afternoon tea to evening happy hour, the food quality and atmosphere were so impressive that we didn't feel the need to dine outside the hotel at all. The lounge overlooks both the Han River and Acha Mountain -- a view that feels uniquely 'Walkerhill'.It created a sense of calm and space rarely found in city hotel.||Most of all, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Myung Jung at the lounge. His warmth and professionalism left a lasting impression on my family and me. Even when he was off duty, he made sure his colleagues continued to take care of us--that level of dedication is truly rare. The kindness within the lounge felt genuine, calm, and consistent among all staff members, which made the entire space feel welcoming and unhurried.||We enjoyed morning walks on the nearby trail, relaxed at the pool and sauna, visited the fitness center, and even experienced the immersive art exhibition 'Theatre of Light'(payable). The hotel offered more than enough to enjoy without ever needing to leave the property if you want quiet, nature and slower pace.||In short---- I will absolutely stay at Grand Walkerhill again on my next trip to Korea. Thank you, Grand Walkerhill. And a very special thank you to Mr. Jung, who truly made our stay unforgettable.

Honestly, this hotel is overpriced for what you get. While the natural setting is nice, that's about the only positive. The staff's hospitality skills are lacking, and it was often difficult to communicate in English. Breakfast at Douglas House is a joke – limited selection, no hot food, just hard-boiled eggs. Don't expect much in the way of service either; there's no 24-hour room service. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway and don't care about anything else, this place might work. But for the price, you can definitely find better.

My by far the best and favourite hotel in Seoul! The hotel is seated on the outskirt of Seoul overlooking the Han River. Also nested on the edges of the wide mountain area, the hotel offers fresh air and forest view too. The breakfast hall has a great view to this riverside, and the quality of food is incredible. All Walkerhill staff members I interacted with were kind and professional. I'm impressed by the quality of every aspect they deliver. I enjoyed the nature right and left in this resort. The environment is so cosy, I was finally able to get away from the life's stress, unwind and relax. It's a perfect place for a weekend get away or a short vacation. Definitely coming back next time for my short holiday!

Nice stay for our family. They have a policy for no tattoos to be visible when swimming so I had to watch my son swim in the kiddy pool instead of swimming with him. They offered stickers to cover but there weren’t big enough for the tattoo size. Recommend to wear a rash vests if you have tattoos.
