I stayed at Grand Walkerhill hotel while attending a conference there. The whole experience was worth 5-stars. The room was really nice and comfortable. As with many hotels in Asia (but not elsewhere) there was even an HDMI port to connect your laptop to the TV. One minor annoyance: the only way to control the room lights was through a tablet. We had a plumbing problem, but it was fixed very quickly.|The breakfast buffet was really good, but pricy. There was a often a wait to get seated and then a long line to the coffee station. The pool was also very nice.|The main thing to be aware of is the location. The hotel was on a hill on the outskirts of Seoul, about an hour away from all the landmarks. The bus from the airport took 2 hours to get there. There was a convenient shuttle to the metro station that ran pretty often, but still I would not book this hotel if you are planning on sightseeing. Another issue: the hotel restaurants were quite expensive that there were no affordable food options on the hill.

Nice hotel with a large convention centre. A little off to the city but regular shuttle service. In particular, I like their lavatory giving so many options, check the picture.

Stayed at the club suite for two nights. We visited during the summer peak season so the whole hotel was very busy and we often had to wait to get serviced which is understandable. Room was clean but the couch smelled bad so we had a cover sheet on the whole time. Still it’s a very pleasant hotel with lots of little tracks to walk and explore, being situated at the mountain- which is rare to find in Seoul. The club lounge provides a stunning view overlooking the river. Food was impressive too - not a huge range but everything was delicious and fresh. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. Would recommend rooms with lounge access.

I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this hotel was definitely the worst.|The rooms are small and cheaply furnished. I had to change rooms because the view we were given was of a parking lot. The closet is about 12" wide and I had to lay out clothes on the chairs. The drawers are 6" deep?!?|The bathrooms are the smallest and most uncomfortable I have ever been in. I had to sit sideways on the toilet and could not close the door because the toilet room was so small. The towels were small and frayed and the lighting was ridiculous. The tub/shower was so small that I was afraid if I sat in the tub I could not get out.|It is advertised as a "Family Hotel" - translation - lots of screaming kids.|I do not now if they had a spa and I did not go to the pool. One member of our party was kicked out of the pool because he had a tattoo - and they made hm cover hs tattoo with tape.|The buffet breakfast was inedible - runny eggs and the food was not hot. The coffee was good... But you better get there at 7 sharp or it will be full and you have to wait. The "Fancy" Restaurant needs reservations days in advance.|In the lobby, there is a Fancy Food Court that seems to have been modeled after the Harrod's Food Court but it only has Bread, Cakes and Liquor. The Cafe in the center of the lobby is very slow and the menu is very limited.||It is in an inconvenient location to see the best sights - takes 30 to 60 minutes to get anywhere in traffic.||I really do not recommend.

The room was very clean but I don’t like the fact in the bathroom was missing a shower box separate from bathtub. In general personally I think this hotel is pricey for what it offers

Service and staff attitude are terrible. Staff made a mistake on check out time but sent security to “drag” me out. I was going to write a formal complaint to Sheraton then found out the contract had terminated and this is a Korean owned hotel now. Shame on them. Casino in the basement is filthy with unprofessional workers. Low level dealers with bad attitudes, talking condescendingly to customers. Pit managers are no better. They do shoddy jobs and withhold their names when asked. Seems like a shady gambling den rather than a legal casino. A shocking disappointment at a supposed five star venue. Never in the world have I seen such arrogant and rude workers.

If you want to stay in a very quiet corner of Seoul, the Grand Walkerhill Seoul is your place. Beautiful lobby, rooms are clean and comfortable but a bit outdated. The hotel is situated in the mountains with views of the Han River. The hotel runs a shuttle every 15 minutes down the mountain, making it quite convenient to get to public transportation as well as other parts of Seoul.
