WARNING!!!! SERIOUS SAFETY & PRIVACY FAILURES- Do Not stay here
This property may be visually stunning, but do not be fooled: behind the scenery is 2-star service, gross mismanagement, and deeply concerning breaches of guest safety and trust. At over $500 per night, this was not just disappointing — it was unacceptable.
Hotel staff entered our room and went through our CLOSED suitcases and personal belongings WITHOUT permission, repacking and reorganizing our items. This was not requested, authorized, or even disclosed beforehand. This is a SERIOUS SAFETY, PRIVACY, and SECURITY violation. Guests should NEVER have to worry about who is handling their personal effects, passports, valuables, or private items. Allowing incompetent and unsupervised staff to rummage through closed luggage demonstrates a COMPLETE BREAKDOWN in internal controls and guest protection.
This incident alone would justify walking out — but the failures continued.
The room lost electricity in 96°F (35°C+) heat, leaving us in an uninhabitable room with no air conditioning. Despite two phone calls, staff took 45 minutes to respond, showing zero urgency. This level of indifference is dangerous, not merely inconvenient.
Basic amenities were equally substandard. Water pressure was weak and unreliable, something no hotel charging luxury prices — should tolerate.
Management and rhe ownerss response was as POOR as the service itself. The manager did not proactively reach out, (we had to go to him through the restaurant staff) and did not check on us, and did not demonstrate leadership. After all of this we received a lukewarm apology. There was no offer of a refund, no meaningful compensation, and no accountability. The final “resolution” offered for privacy violations, power failure in extreme heat, and systemic mismanagement? A free hat and an offer for a future upgrade to a hotel we will never visit again! An insult rather than a remedy.
Luxury hospitality is built on trust, discretion, responsiveness, and SAFETY . This hotel fails on all four counts. A beautiful location cannot compensate for inept, inexperienced management and staff who are either poorly trained or improperly supervised.
Until there is a serious overhaul of management and operational standards, this hotel does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as true 5-star properties. I would strongly caution future guests — particularly those concerned about PRIVACY , security, or BASIC SAFETY — to look elsewhere
