Grande Vue Hotel

The best accommodation you will find in Battery Point. A grand old home / hotel from a century ago. We had a lovely three night stay and we were so happy with our choice. The service was friendly and Ash our host was wonderful looking after all our needs whilst giving us privacy as well. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the addition of homemade cakes and biscuits on offer 24/7 was a real treat. The public spaces were lovingly restored to Victorian glory and we enjoyed spending quiet afternoons in these and the breakfast room. Thank you for a great stay. Bret and Kerri (Melbourne)

When I saw the incredibly high rating and overwhelmingly positive reviews, part of me expected them to have been from various friends and family. Having stayed there myself - it's clear these were genuine because it's legitimately a 5 star experience. Check-in was a breeze, the room was toasty warm (even though it was -3 outside at some points) and just stunning. The entire hotel was beautifully styled and warm and inviting and comfortable. Ash was an incredible host, making us coffees and happy to have a chat. Battery Point is a beautiful area, and very walkable to most of Hobart! Can't recommend the Grand Vue enough.

Thank you all at Grand Vue Private Hotel for a great stay. Our room was spacious, stylish and had lovely views of the Derwent River. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of some of Hobart's best restaurants, bars and galleries. Self check in was a breeze. We also loved the many artworks throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Grand Vue. It’s a beautiful building with sweet outdoor spaces in a cute residential neighborhood. It is quiet and tranquil while also being within walking distance of restaurants and cafes. Downtown is a slightly longer but still very manageable stroll. Our room was lovely: sizable and comfortable with a gorgeous view. It was tough to tear ourselves away! Breakfast is light but tasty. But what really makes Grand Vue exceptional is the service. Everyone is kind and willing to accommodate any need as best they can. They are happy to engage in conversation and give local recommendations or just let you enjoy your peace and quiet. We just loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The Grande Vue is by far the most outstanding accomodation we’ve experienced (this includes many places around the world). Location, presentation, decor & ambience were second to none! Old-world charm combined with gorgeous, modern art created a stunning backdrop. The beds were extremely comfortable and the views were to die for! Ash was genuine and kind, and baking us a cake each day took it to the next level! Our 18 & 20 year old kids also adored how the Vue Grande catered for young adults too (especially the coffee machine & the spa bath). Will return 100%

Thoughtful service and a fantastic location! Just a 10-minute stroll to Salamanca Place and only minutes from excellent bakeries, cafés, and restaurants. Everything was easy and convenient. Ash made us feel welcomed and cared for. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Our stay at the Grande Vue exceeded our expectations. The property is gorgeous and incredibly well maintained. Ash, Brock and the team were warm and friendly and looked after our every need without being intrusive. The generous afternoon teas and breakfasts were also delicious. Great location with some excellent local restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and comfortable hotel, fantastic location. Highly recommended if you are staying in Hobart. Bed was so comfortable and our room was upgraded at the last minute, which was so kind of the owners. The home made treats in the kitchen is a beautiful touch. The views are incredible. Other reviews any lower than 5 stars are just people who are extremely hard to please. Highly recommend this hotel.
