Grande Vue Hotel

We stayed at Grand Vue for our wedding long weekend along with our families and bridal party and held a pre-wedding event there in the garden. It was the most incredible stay and I already cannot wait to return - this is a boutique hotel at its finest. The hotel is in a fabulous spot on the hill in Battery Point with views over the Derwent. We had the opportunity to see inside every room and they were all beautiful. The garden is also beautiful and well maintained - again with a stunning view over the Derwent (are you sensing a theme). The breakfast was delicious and so much more than we expected, and there is cake! Every day! Homemade on the premises! But perhaps the best part of the entire experience was Ash, the gorgeous owner, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a special stay and a stress free event. He was a delight to chat to around the hotel and nothing was too much to ask. We were so sad to leave - thank you Ash!

It is the second time I have stayed at Grand Vue and it hasn't disappointed. The Hotel is spotlessly clean, and the rooms are exceptional. Ash is the perfect host along with his team of two. This time around we invited two members of our family to join us, and they were in agreement that the place is fabulous and plan to bring members of their family to visit as well in the future. There is nothing that is too much trouble. Battery Point is a lovely little village within walking distance to all the points of interest in the main town of Hobart. I am not keen on walking but found it easy walking. Do yourself a favour visit Grand Vue. It's a must

Wow oh wow. If I could give 6 stars for this I would!! Absolutely loved staying in this guesthouse. It felt like we were staying, graciously, in some ones beautiful home. Such gorgeous rooms, decor and the stunning harbour views. Plus the kitchen was always open if you wanted a cuppa or a snack. Loved staying here. Thank you so much for having such a lovely guesthouse.

We loved our stay at the Grande Vue, it was the best of our Tassie holiday. This beautifully restored grand home is a credit to the hosts, welcoming and comfortable and feels like staying in the home of friends rather than a hotel. As much as the hotel itself is outstanding, the hosts and staff were amazing. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, nothing was a problem and the extra treats such as home baked apple cake for afternoon tea were most appreciated. Special mention to Ash for returning my earrings to my home address after I left them in our room. We highly recommend the Grande Vue.

Great design, wonderful service, great for weekends stay

Absolutely adored our 2 night stay here for NYE 🎆 we stayed in the waterfront room facing the Bay and still managed to see the fireworks from our side windows! Everything was immaculately clean, full equipped shared kitchen with dinning room. Highly recommend and would stay here again 💞

Our 4 night stay at Grande Vue was just perfect in every way!!! The property is really beautiful and in a great location. It is located in one of the prettiest neighbourhoods in Hobart with fabulous restaurants and pubs only a short walk away. The owners, Ash and Brock, have created a warm luxurious hotel which welcomes you home after a big day out. We enjoyed relaxing on the garden terrace which overlooks the River Derwent Thank you Ash, Brock and Riccardo for such an amazing stay!

We were looking for something more personal than a hotel. This was just perfect. We felt like we were staying with family in this beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious and the views over Battery Point were amazing. The hospitality shown to each guest was so thoughtful. The kitchen and dining room was just lovely, with the best breakfast offered. We will never stay anywhere else in Hobart.
