We found this place on our last night in Tokyo: A dimly lit, smokey bar that sounds 60s and 70s jams. It's a bit hard to find - we walked a few times up and down the block on the wrong side before crossing the bridge to the correct side. The sign is small and if you're not watching out, you might miss it. It is in the basement, by a barber shop. Once I opened the door, I was immediately impressed. They have a limited food menu, with bar snacks between y500-600. Beer is also about y500-600 - mostly bottles. They have Guinness on draft, and I think one other thing on draft. Many liquor options. We opted for Yebisu (y600 bottle), and a cheese plate (y600 probably not worth it).
The music fit the space perfectly. It is small, like many places in Tokyo, although not as bad as some. 4 tables and stools at the bar. Service was excellent. People do smoke, and it is a small room, so if you are sensitive to that, this is not your place.
If I lived here, this would be my go to spot. Really nice ambience without being awkward or pretentious.
