Grandma's Restaurant

Beautiful sunset, nice cocktails on the sweet side, would recommend glow. I had good service at the bar but when I went to the restaurant afterwards. It sadly took a decline. My friend and I got the testing menu with wine pairing and were disappointed. The plating of the food look better on the website. When presented the wine there was no description of the notes or testing. I only enjoyed 2 out of the 8 dishes of the testing (the fisherman soup was quite nice along with the sheep ice cream with honey), I’ve been to multiple Michelin stars and worlds best… and this place fell quite flat in terms of service and food quality. One of the dishes the goat I really couldn’t stomach and asked for a replacement but they took it away and said there is no replacement to give. There was no removal of the item from the bill, which is quite shocking from a service point of view. We also received no amuse bouche, whereas in other reviews there was 3. I’ve never been in a testing menu where amuse bouche was not served.

So special! Watched sunset from bar/patio on adirondack chairs & then dinner at the beautiful restaurant. Fine dining-but not fussy. Lots of attention to detail. Greek cuisine with a gourmet twist. This was our top restaurant on IOS!

Beautiful location with views of the sunset and amazing cocktails. Food was ok but very expensive and a few dishes unavailable. Was disappointed with the food, felt we ate out better at many other restaurants in Ios for half the price. Would come again just for cocktails and the view. Service was great though and waiter was very knowledgeable.

Great restaurant with a view. We ordered the fried shrimp, meatballs and a pasta dish. Everything was so good. The meatballs were extremely delicious. Definitely recommend during your time on the island. Our server was very kind and attentive

Awesome experience! What a beautiful space, well presented and creative dining, great view and wonderful service. Compared to other Islands like Mykonos, Ios is a bit "sleepy" and laid back (something we were looking for for vacation) so there are not a lot of upscale dining options. Grandma's came highly recommended by the locals and it was spot on. A definite stop for those looking for a wonderful experience.

We've traveled the world for the last 30 years. Eaten at countless restaurants, including Michelin stars. Tonight at Grandma's was a revelation. Not one, but three amuse bouche. To flavorful rockfish soup and scallops that make you close your eyes and just... savor. To lamb and lobster dishes that build in subtle flavors. To finish with a chocolate parfait that is beyond. The service by Marius was impeccable to where we were identifying stars in the night sky, and watching the sunset behind the hills was perfect. What an amazing introduction to Ios.

We had a romantic dinner at Grandma's last week for a wedding anniversary. We stayed at Liostasi hotel for the week. The hotel and restaurant are perfect! We loved the awesome location, facilities, staff, food and ambiance. BIG THANKS!
