Grange Motel

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a fantastic stay at Grange Motel! The room was very clean, spacious, and had everything I needed – especially the kitchenette, which made it easy to cook my own meals. The location is super convenient, close to the airport and shops. The staff were friendly and professional, and parking was easy. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting South Auckland – whether for a short stay or longer visit!

Lovely clean as motel. Got upgraded for free. Nice outdoor area and table good central location for the area. Very quiet beautiful gardens and lemon tree.

I’ve traveled extensively across the North Island, staying in various accommodations, and this motel stands out as one of the best my family and I have experienced. The customer service was exceptional, far exceeding my expectations. From the kind owners who regularly checked in on us, to the friendly and respectful cleaning staff, every interaction was a pleasure. This motel is ideal for a wide range of travelers, whether for business or leisure, families, tourists, or couples. I’ll definitely be staying here again during my next trip to Auckland. Its central location, close to shops and bus routes in both directions, is incredibly convenient, and having a washing machine and dryer on-site was a real bonus. The grounds were well-maintained, and the owner took great care in keeping the gardens and lawns pristine.

Stayed here on our tour of New Zealand. Located close to Auckland Airport. Has a shuttle service to airport ( $50 ). Was given a complimentary coffee on arrival What a pleasant surprise. Although motel is a little dated the rooms are clean, comfortable and tidy. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Recommended for budget traveler.

Our family of 4 adults stayed in the 2 bedroom family unit for 2 weeks recently. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. The owners and staff were very welcoming. The Grange Motel is in an excellent location with nearby access to the motorway. It is close to Hunters Plaza for groceries and shopping. There are many places to eat nearby. We would highly recommend staying at the Grange Motel.

Super easy 15 min drive from the airport and the staff were so friendly. I was delayed after a long flight and customs queue and arrived at almost 10pm, but the man was absolutely lovely when I checked in. The kitchen was equipped with tons of spices, a milk, delicious coffee, and two yummy little crackers for a midnight snack. The rooms and beds were clean and comfy, shower and AC worked great, the price was super affordable, I was really pleased with my stay.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality that made our stay truly memorable. The motel itself is impeccably clean and tidy, providing a welcoming environment that feels like home. A special shout-out to great man Anthony, Shirley and the fantastic cleaning staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort during our nearly year-long stay. With a super large family, we often needed extra support, and they were always there to help. They were always bringing snacks for the kids or making sure our rooms were spotless with fresh towels and linens, their kindness and attentiveness were unparalleled. The location of the motel is perfect— nice & quiet, close to the airport & central to everything we needed, making it easy to explore the area. The genuine care we received is something we’ve never experienced in other motels or hotels. They always checked in on us, making sure we were doing okay, which truly made us feel valued as guests. As we wrap up our time here, we are filled with gratitude for the friendships we've formed with the staff especially Anthony & Shirley. It's hard to say goodbye, but we hope to return someday or have them visit us at our new home. Thank you, Grange Road Motel, for everything! The best motel here in South Auckland. I stayed here with my 2 kids and we loved it here. The rooms are so clean and tidy. Shirley and her staff are awesome, very friendly and they clean so well. My kids loved looking at the goldfish by the small pond when you enter the motel. It’s so easy to talk to the staff and we enjoyed our stay here. I would highly recommend coming here on your next visit to Auckland. Thank you Shirley and your team for making our stay here enjoyable. I won’t forget your kindness. We will definitely come back here again ☺️

This place is no palace but it's got everything we wanted - cheap, reasonably close to the airport and Auckland, free wifi, and super nice owners. Plus they totally have a cat in the office that loves to be petted. I pet the bejesus out of that cat. Win win.
