Grano Trattoria

We had lunch here today and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly — we were looked after by Manuel, who made the experience even more pleasant. The place itself is simple, cosy, and very welcoming, with huge portions. We started with two salads and prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella, followed by spaghetti amatriciana and lasagna as main courses. Everything was extremely delicious and very filling. We were also kindly treated to limoncello, which was a lovely touch. Top-level service, hearty food, and a warm atmosphere. The restaurant is located right next to one of the most beautiful landmarks in Rome, so I highly recommend stopping by if you’re nearby.

While out visiting the Colosseum and then walking around that area and seeing various other sites, we walked in this direction and decided to stop in here for lunch. The reviews looked great and the place was packed. Service was friendly, but rather slow (probably due to them being so busy). Menu is nice, loaded with pastas and pizzas. We started with their Bolognese, which we split. It was good. Solid flavor and perfectly al dente pasta. Next up was to share their veggie pizza. The rust was great, very thin and it held nicely. The sauce was pretty tasty and the cheese good have been a little more abundant, but everything came together nicely. The pizza looked beautiful too. Overall – Nice lunch!

If you are looking for an authentic dining experience in the heart of Rome, Grano Trattoria is a fantastic choice. During my visit, I was impressed not only by the quality of the food but also by the value; the prices are very fair and reasonable for such a central location. ​The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Carbonara. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce was rich and creamy—exactly what you hope for in Rome. It is clear they use high-quality ingredients to respect the traditional recipe. Following the pasta, I had the Tiramisu, which was light, flavorful, and provided the perfect sweet finish. ​To end the meal, I ordered an espresso, and it was the definition of authentic Italian coffee culture. Served in a classic small cup, the portion was exactly right—about 30cc of pure, bold flavor with a great crema. The staff were exceptionally polite and professional, making the atmosphere feel very welcoming. Between the delicious food, the perfect coffee, and the sensible pricing, this place is a 5-star gem. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

These good Google reviews aren't a coincidence. Quality food and friendly service. Just as you would expect after a long walk around. There were no up-selling tactics or pushing you to buy stuff that you don't want just because "this one is better today" tactics we experienced in other places around. Simply taking your order with smile and little banter, delivering quality delicious food and a reasonable bill at the end. Well done and another 5⭐️ from us 👏

We were absolutely delighted! The food was served very quickly, beautifully presented, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The flavors were amazing – the best carbonara we’ve ever had! The thin-crust pizza was delicious, perfectly baked, and full of taste. The place is small but cozy, and it’s definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Wonderful service and food. The server was so very friendly and patiently explained the dishes, and remained consistently so even after it got busy). We had the Cabonara (good, I could finally taste the egg rather than just cheese), the Aglio Olio (very flavorful and not overwhelmed by the olive oil), and the chicken with peppers (perfectly cooked and flavored, we ate everything despite not loving peppers). I only wish that we had come here on our first day instead of the second last night. But well, we will be returning again tonight to guarantee great food and service for our final meal in Italy! P/S: We are Asians and do not speak Italian.

stopped by for lunch at this palace, which was quite crowded. We ordered a couple of pastas, a salad, and meatballs. Unfortunately, the meatballs were tasted like they were still frozen, and the food was overpriced. The service was prompt, but the tables were too cramped.

10 stars! Every dish was delicious. We had lasagna, pesto pasta, mushroom sausage pizza, bruschetta (he brought us extra slices on the house bc we loved it so much) and caprese salad. They spoke excellent English and treated us like kings. Best food we had in Rome!!
