Grape Vine Tavern

I have been meaning to do this review for months. I came to Jersey for New Year’s and this was by far of my favorite of the entire trip. Kat is amazing. Not only was the conversation great, they gave me fantastic recommendations when it comes to places to go in the city.There’s so much history in this venue and the drinks are amazing. Highly recommend stopping in just for a quick check. I was only in town for three days and I had to go visit twice. I will be back.

We were looking for local bar close to where we were staying. Kirsi (hope I've got that right!) - the bartender- was very friendly and made me and my daughter feel so welcome. Sit at the bar and you are almost certain to strike up a conversation with some friendly local characters. Good fun!

The place is just great if you want cheap drinks and want to relax. I ordered a patron in the rocks and it was only $6 dollars can you believe that. I had my drink in the outdoor area and with the great music choice was just wonderful. Now don’t expect a high scale bar. I definitely would recommend this place for anyone who wants to get an affordable drink. It’s definitely better than the bar across the street from it.

Great old school neighborhood bar. The beer was good, the gin and tonic was excellent, and the bartender was friendly and welcoming.

Amazing bar! I went here for the first time after moving to Jersey city last week. The bartender was so nice and was fun to talk with at 1am in the morning (mind you). The place was lively and everyone here seems to be regulars which is so cool. Anyways, I just wanted to spread the positivity.

I went there last night I ordered a Guinness and the man behind the bar told me that it would take longer than usual because it was too cold. I appreciate him being honest with me. The other people who were there were all very nice

Nice historic bar with friendly bartenders, juke box plays practically any song you want. Drinks are very reasonably priced. The game is always on and free food on sundays! Not to mention it being the first bar to get a liquor license in jersey after the prohibition, the place is full of history!!!
