Fun combination of art gallery and winery. Super comfortable beautiful wood table for our party of 6 tasting. Danny was our pourer was great. Matt Hill the wine maker also stopped and made our tasting special. We were seated among a collection of art and a band was beginning to warm up for an event. Clean bathroom.

This was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Wonderful staff who are incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. Beautiful space and unique vibe to the rest of Healdsburg. Would absolutely come here again.

This was a great setting to view art and taste great wines! Matt did a great job explaining the different wines to our group and really making us think about what we were tasting in each of the wines. We had a wonderful time!

GrapeSeed has a lovely collection of unique wines (I love all the labels too!). Tasting great wine while enjoying the intriguing collection of art is a delight to the senses. We tasted at the gorgeous wooden tasting bar (a huge piece of redwood? that had fallen in west Sonoma County) but next time I'd love to sit and get the full treatment at the tasting table with my friends. Will definitely be back. Thanks for making Healdsburg even better than it already was.

Our afternoon here was lovely. So personal & quaint. The experience was such a diverse one with a nature's oasis of the moss wall to an amazing gallery display. Karen & Alex were incredible hosts, knowledgeable and so fun!

The University of Maryland Alumni Association partners with Grapeseed on our Wine Program. Working with Dave and Matt has been outstanding. We are able to offer amazing wines to our alumni, And Grapeseed is owned by a Terp. We have Terrapin Pride!

Such an incredible, cozy space for a good conversation over a few glasses of wine. We had a wonderful afternoon here :) Hidden gem behind a really nice gallery.

Yelp
This is an amazing gallery of beautiful art and so unique! $90,000 for a painting! I think it's worth it. Amazing piano player They also sell handspun tipsy cream ice cream with alcohol

Yelp
We were at Healdsburg Square wine tasting, and the 'World's Largest Moss Wall' sign caught our eye. Just off the square itself, this is like a combination art gallery and tasting room, so it's a unique experience instead of a run-of-the-mill tasting. The Moss Wall is along two walls of a semi-outdoor seating area, where they had an old phonograph playing vinyl. The tasting area is to the side of the art gallery, which has a lot of really interesting pieces and is fun to walk through - especially with the champagne we were given as a starter! The tasting was very low key, as we were getting up and looking at things. For something a little different, I would reccommend this place.

Yelp
Beautiful gallery and seating area for tasting. Danny was super accommodating. We had just finished a large bike ride and our group needed to move our reservation back 30 min. Knowledgeable, friendly and such a cool place for a tasting. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is due to being quite cold. Bring a sweater or jacket if the temps are cool. It's an open air seating area.

Yelp
We actually had our tasting the day after Thanksgiving - Winemaker Matt Smith allowed us to schedule our tasting an hour earlier since Black Friday was the day we traveled from Healdsburg to Napa so we also opted for the charcuterie platter (just so happens it was provided by Journeyman Meat Co). The wines were excellent, food friendly wines, especially the Italian varietals so we ended up shipping a 6-pack back to the 50th. Our host Danny was also great not pushing sales but simply providing information about the wines - we ended giving him the leftover charcuterie for his lunch. We'll be back on our next visit to Healdsburg...

Yelp
What a GREAT tasting we had here. We've been to Healdsburg many (many) times; can't believe we had missed GrapeSeed until now. Our host Josh was fantastic - tons of wine knowledge, but no wine snobbery at all :). Relaxed and welcoming. Good decent pours of wine so you could really get the aroma and taste, give it a little time, try again, taste it changing. (You may have visited Napa/Sonoma wineries that give you a tiny parsimonious splash that barely coats your tongue - not here! Also, Josh did *not* beat us over the head about joining the club, which is an extremely off-putting thing that a lot of places do.) The Moss Lounge is a great setting, very calm, very pleasant. and the Mahder gallery is awesome. Okay, about those wines... One reason we picked GrapeSeed today was that we like things other than Cabernet (which of course can be amazing) and Chardonnay (which can be yucky, sorry you buttered & toasted weirdos out there...) Here, we got to try a Vermentino, two different Roses, two different vintages of the same Sangiovese, a Montepulciano which yes I just looked up the spelling, and a Super Tuscan-style red blend. Oh and a Pinot Noir. All grown in California, all interesting and unique in their own ways. Different people in our group had different favorites but I gotta say, the Sangiovese was the most outrageously good wine. Wow! "There's a lot going on in there" is how two of us wound up describing it. Couldn't readily pin down all those aromas and flavors, but it was all delicious. We'll be back! With more friends! Thanks Josh and winemaker Matt for a great afternoon!

Yelp
Always impressed by the quality of the wines and the value, especially for Healdsburg. Matt is an amazing winemaker and there are always a variety of great options to choose from...highly recommended for membership!

Yelp
My husband and I had a great time at GrapeSeed. We were in Healdsburg to celebrate our anniversary, which I noted on the reservation, and Dave was so kind to pour us a glass of sparkling wine upon our arrival. We had a moment to look through the art gallery while he poured the tastings. On the table was a list of the wines we were tasting and he even added a "Happy Anniversary" at the top (I loved the small touches!). He did a wonderful job of describing the wines to us, always explaining it in a way for a wine novice like myself to understand. Dave and Matt answered all our questions thoughtfully and we were happy to speak with such friendly, down to earth wine experts.

Yelp
Over the top special and unique wine experience. Having recently moved from the Seattle area I wasn't all that familiar with the Sonoma County varieties, regions, styles. Healdsburg! Promoted me to find a friendly, fun, unique "shopping" and tasting experience. Grapeseed offers legacy, whimsy, classics and a really special walk wine in hand through a gallery. Matt crafts or blends the wines and the rest of the team blends the art of presentation with the label as an event, specific hanging art for sale, or tastings and pairings. There are areas for a team meeting, a space to fit major events, and great people attending fun events. The sales experience is always more a visit that leads to you wanting more of their wine. Thank you Matt for remembering I wanted another specific wine and holding the very last bottle for me, in case I showed up soon. Bravo! Grapeseed!

Yelp
I was at this great new tasting area in mid December to pick up an order of wine. Dave was there to pour tastings of the wines I was picking up and as always was a wonderful host. I missed seeing Matt, who was away with a delivery. I think I've been buying their wine selections since 2015 and have always enjoyed the wines. This latest selection was just as great and the sparkling wine came in handy for New Year's Eve with friends.

Yelp
We were exploring Healdsburg when we dropped into the Paul Mahder Art Gallery in Healdsburg, browsing the whimsical and gorgeous gallery, we discovered their pièce de résistance: the GrapeSeed Tasting Room. Winemaker Matt Smith was able to schedule us a tasting, and set us up with a lovely variety and charcuterie platter. We are huge fans of his Italian varietals and left with several bottles of the Sassoferrato. Their wine tasting room is bucolic and unique - tucked away, you can get away from the bustle that can be the square and downtown Healdsburg - icing on the cake is that it's walking distance to our hotel. Be sure to stop by when you're in town!

Yelp
I would just like to start by saying their wine is delicious and not to mention the art gallery is superior ...awesome art beautiful ambience but the best part of the tasting was Danny he's awesome full of personality got to hear his cool experiences in life didn't have intentions of joining their membership however the wine was that delicious so we are officially members now thanks Danny! you're awesome can't wait to see you on the release party in a couple weeks!

Yelp
All the wine I've had from the Grapeseed people has been top shelf. These are some of the most innovative and talented winemakers around, left to their own devices. I went to the tasting room before it officially opened, but I can imagine that the quality they bring to their wine is exemplified in the way they run a tasting room. Give this a looksee!

Yelp
Great venue! This is our second visit to the GrapeSeed tasting room and plan to visit with more friends in the future. The team is patient and very informative with a novice like myself! A must go to when in Healdsburg.

Yelp
We went there as a group of four with reservations for wine tasting. It was amazing. They prepared cheeses, olives, salami's and crackers along with your wine. The host, Matt, was very informative on wine making and had a wonderful story about how he came up with his brand/wine of Sassoferato. Amazing wines!!! Great experience being inside an art gallery. I give this experience a triple thumbs up! Will definitely go back!

Yelp
The most wonderful wines which can now be enjoyed in a spectacular and unique venue. Best wine tasting venue in the wine country right in the middle of Healdsburg which is full of great restaurants and shops. A very personal wine experience with Dave and Matt hosting.

Yelp
I would give 10 stars if possible. We worked with Dave & Matt to create a lovely event. They are professional, creative, and knew exactly how to make our event memorable and meaningful. They were able to cater to our large group. We did a reception style wine tasting and charcuterie plate. They provided beer and soft drinks for the few non-wine drinkers. Their space in the Paul Mahder Gallery is incredible. The setting on the back patio with the moss wall was beautiful. The wine was delicious and the food was gorgeous to look at and delicious to eat. Dave and Matt are knowledgeable, tied into the community, and running a great business. We are so thankful for them! GrapeSeed is the perfect stop for a couples weekend and for larger group functions.

Yelp
We were staying at the H2 Hotel in Healdsburg and asked one of the charming and knowledgeable front desk team members for suggestions on close by attractions. She told us to hop across the street to GrapeSeed, saying they have done a splendid job of providing some delicious wine tasting with a large selection of unique artworks. Off we went. We saw the sign in front said they were closed at 6pm and it was 6:10pm. Nevertheless, a member of the GrapeSeed organization saw us and invited us in for tasting. We did and were offered numerous options from their boutique wine portfolio with commentary on each taste. We strolled around the ample gallery space with glass in hand. What a pleasure! Just a nice way to marry a high end art gallery and wine tasting under one roof.
