Ordered a cacao smoothie with hemp protein, it was great and the store was cute. They had these decorative B12 ashwaganda patches that caught my eye. Lots of supplements, health food and fun gifts in there. Also great service to help me decide what I wanted.

This place is a neighborhood gem!! I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. From incredible juices and smoothies, yummy treats, and a myriad of amazing wellness and home products, you can find a lot of incredible things in this store. The staff is super kind and I love coming here so much.

I'm here again for fresh fruit and vegetables smoothies. This time seem like the machine is broken-down and took so long to finish my order. The price is higher than another fresh juice place in the neighborhood, but it is the closest from my home. The cashier seems to be so sleepy but he still talk to me and answer me all questions.

I have to say this is my absolute FAVORITE Juice bar and Cafe and I'm thrilled with all the new menu options! I love the vibe here, its so chill and comfortable. I often come for lunch or a post work out smoothie with friends and sometimes alone during the week to get some work done (they have free Wi-Fi)! The smoothies are insanely good and their new Grilled Cheese its a must have, think I've had one almost everyday since they've been on the menu! My biggest grievance with this place is that they don't have one in Manhattan (where I live), so for now I'm making the commute just to come here. The staff is super sweet and helpful and Im thrilled to see how far this place has come with the expansion of the shop as well as cafe! Now I can have my smoothie and pick up my natural deodorant and fire cider vinegar! On Wednesdays they have a Mommy (or Daddy) and Me play group which is beyond cute. It also happens to be my go to card shop so definitely worth the train ride. Grassroots definitely goes above and beyond every other Juice bar I've ever been to.

Grass Roots always hits the spot for me and my friends. I lived in the neighborhood a few years ago but moved to queens. When I was still in Brooklyn it was my go to for anything healthy. While i dont live nearby anymore, I miss the area and all my favorite spots and Grass Roots is at the top of my list of must-go-tos when im in the area. The people in the front are always helpful and give me great suggestions. The little shop feels so special and has the cutest options for gifts. The smoothies are bomb, the snacks are bomb, and of course the juices. My friend and I love their juices so much that when we are sick, we know exactly what to get and while we live far apart, she surprises me with get well juices from them.

I really love this place. I’ve been buying açai bowls from them for the last few months and they’re consistently delicious and reasonably priced considering the neighborhood. The staff is always super nice and quick with the food. It’s a cute, clean spot.

This smoothie spot in Brooklyn is amazing! The drinks are super fresh, flavorful, and made with real ingredients. I had the Berry bomb and a Green Juice—both were delicious and not too sweet. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and there are great options for different diets. Perfect for a quick, healthy pick-me-up. Highly recommend!

Truly THE ONLY place in the neighbourhood where I can EAT without worrying about quality of food. CLEAN and HEALTHY meals that your body will thank you for. Best variety of juices you can find around. I love their smoothies, sandwiches (the smoked salmon is my a must breakfast little joy) and salads too. The staff is always nice to me. So grateful we have Grass Roots Juicery on Graham Ave. You are the best!!

Finally, a place that actually cares about their ingredients and quality. Good selection of refined sugar free desserts. Mostly Whole Foods and plant based. Very kind staff. This is a gem!

LOVED the smoothies and juices here! I didn't love being a customer for six years (used to live right around the corner) and nobody once remembered me or my order. I would average about 2-3 smoothies here a week. I knew all of the regular staff at my regular stops in the neighborhood (servers, bartenders, barbers, the Panini Shop guys, bodega clerks, slice shop guys, etc) as they remembered me. Not here. The last week I was in, I over heard a lady in front of me speaking with the cashier about their rewards program too (punch card for smoothies) which I was disappointed to hear because I could have been reaping the benefits all along! Never heard a peep about it until it was too late. Anyways, great smoothies, great juices, just bummed there wasn't that charm & appreciation for loyalty... for six years. Customer service isn't everything - which is why I still gladly give four stars - but it goes a long way!

First of all, I LOVE this place. it's all organic healthy and fresh juices, salads & keto plates etc. And desserts but I don't eat that crap. it's very clean & smells good. They also have gifts, hot sauces, soaps, candles etc. Well, a funny thing happened today.There is this striking-looking young guy behind the counter with cool hair, an impossibly cool outfit, and a handcuff dangling from his belt. He's all charisma, like a human lightning bolt. And so I was like "cool handcuffs," and he just gives me this cold-ass M.F. stare like "you are not cool, you will NEVER be cool, Prince was my dad, Chaka Khan is my grandma, you are a lame Gen X'er, just stop trying." So I was like "um...hand-CUFF?" and he just ignores me and goes back to making a green juice. Attention model casting, snap this guy up!!!! he belongs on the pages of Italian Vogue.

Fresh juices made everyday and smoothies are nice and thick. Açai bowl is also amazing -- one of the freshest açai bases I've tasted in nyc. Kind of expensive but if you're feeling nice and want something fresh and filling in the area definitely stop by.

Rude two women that work at the front - not a pleasant experience. Mean and not welcoming.

Food is good, but the manager will not allow customers to bring reusable coffee cups, or juice bottles-- more plastic in the ocean, lame!! I didn't try any of the food or juice; however, the girl who was working there made my experience in this store uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I came in the store to escape the sweltering heat and check out their niche products. After looking for a moment I took a moment to sit. The girl working rudely declared the seats were only customers. I understand this policy and I respect it, but the deliverance was rude to a potential customer. I was gonna sit because there was a line waiting at the counter and it was too hot to gather my thoughts on what I wanted . I was planning to purchase a good amount of groceries but instead I bought obligatory 5 $ tooth picks just to sit for 5 minutes. Not returning, hopefully they train their employees better.

Just had a turkey brie sandwich. Initially I Thought the bread was not fresh because the expiration date is tomorrow but then the cashier said the bread is the same for the sandwiches. It is like it has been sitting in the fridge for months. I asked to change but they didn't care. Should have gone somewhere else. I am sure the supermarket next door had a better fresher one. :))

Love their juices and variety of healthy snacks! Also love the fact that they have cafe grumpy coffee.

Love this place !!! Best cold pressed fresh juices! Love the smoothies too! My favorite is the Barry bomb .. also , highly recommend the dates bites.. bought a ton of them for a work event and it was a major hit !!! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

They have the absolute best açaí bowls I've ever had! I get at least one every day. Their bowls are so good I can't eat açaí anywhere else, it just doesn't hit the same. Sabrina is really nice and accommodating. I really appreciate her customer service and attention to detail.

I've been coming to Grass Roots on and off since they opened years ago. Their prices have always been OBSCENE but they've outdone themselves and raised them even higher! Truthfully, that isn't even the main reason I'm writing this review. The owner is so incredible rude to her customers! I didn't catch her on a bad day, she is consistently horrendous each and every time I have walked in. Over brunch, I brought the latest encounter up with two neighbors. They thought it was just them! Clearly, the numerous other one star reviews confirm, this place SUCKS! Took this place off of my favorites list on maps. GOOD RIDDANCE! Hi owner! :) Lost another customer thanks to YOUR complete of manners and hospitality and delusional pricing.

This was my first time interacting with this establishment. I called to check on whether or not one item I was planning to order was vegan and was hung up on. I assumed it was a mistake or a bad connection and quickly called back after turning off my WI-FI. The same woman answered the phone and responded to me asking if she could hear me by asking, "are you a human?" I was confused. The woman on the phone was apparently frustrated about repeated prank calls and accused me of being the perpetrator. I was confused and informed her that I was not the person. I informed her that I called because I planned to order (my cart was $80+) food and didn't expect this hostility. With a raised voice I was chastised for calling three times and not saying anything. Not true. I let her know that if she was going to talk to me this way I would not be ordering food at all. She said fine and hung up on me again. Very disappointing and unnecessary.

Don't come here. The staff are all very dismissive and disorganized. Don't even think about getting a sandwich. The bread tastes like it's been sitting in the fridge for a year, mainly because their "sandwiches" are just sitting in the fridge waiting to be picked out for your order. I'd actually much rather have an airport sandwich. The $7 iced latte that I got was more ice than latte. Won't be coming back :)

10/10. I'm not lying when I say I'm here every day. Here for the green juices, smoothies, toasts, ready made meals. The cookbooks, supplements, greeting cards. Canned bevvies like Kin and Ghia. They've got everything to set you up for a good day. Their green juice blends are like magic. I got so into them and tried making them at home, cold pressed juicer and all. Turns out, it's cheaper to just get them from Grassroots, and no mess to clean up :) Highly recommend these green juices- the Skinny, Grass Roots, and Internal Beauty. Anyone will like them, they're sooooooooooo tasty and make you feel so good. Thank you Grassroots!!

Wow. The cutest juice shop in NYC! So happy I stumbled upon this place- my new neighborhood favorite. Got to try the berry bomb smooth... yummm. Not to mention their cold press coconut milk- it's a changed my life.

I ordered The Good Bird Sandwich and it was anything but good. The bread was dried out and the photo of the sandwich, which is supposed to have brie cheese and pea sprouts speaks for itself. I would have to be pretty hard pressed to order from here again.

THE best green juices. Drink The Sun is by far my favorite, and has actually ruined me for all others: apparently what all green juices really needed was to go very heavy on the ginger and add fennel. They also sell a cute curated selection of clean beauty products, and have my favorite cookies by Knead Love Bakery in the pastry case.

Great smoothies! We tried the berry blast (very peanut butter-y. Yum) and tropical hangover (nice and fruity with a lil green).

Best coconut milk I've had in New York! So refreshing and delicious with only two ingredients. Highly recommend.

It's sad because this place has potential, but just a very lazy uncommitted staff. At LEAST 5 times this year I ordered two açaí bowls and received one. This happened again today and the one I did receive was watery ( my home is 3 blocks from the location) and the bowl was 3/4 full. This place is not inexpensive but certainly cheap. Do not recommend.

I've always wanted to try GRJ since it's conveniently located in my neighborhood and it's a female-owned business. However, it was always hard for me to justify the cost. I caved the past week since it was a beautiful, sunny, albeit hot, day. The GRJ x Bonberi packaging suckered me in, but unlike the regular GRJ drinks, it didn't have the price on the label. When the cashier rang me up, I was a little taken back when I found out it was $11! Upon first sip, however, I understood. The juice ("Island Time"- pineapple, kale, celery, mint, ginger) was very fresh tasting and had an intense, spicy kick from the ginger, which I personally love! It also had pineapple, which lended a nice balanced sweetness that wasn't overpowering (which I prefer). They also carry yummy treats (love Bjorn corn & Honey Mama's chocolate) along with a curated selection of books/herbal powders/etc. My boyfriend has also enjoyed their smoothies in the past, so I guess I'm late to hop on the bandwagon. Either way, better late than never!

Over the years, it can be hard to see local businesses change, but I guarantee you that Grass Roots does a truly fantastic job of evolving and getting better year after year. Can't imagine the neighborhood without it, definitely worth the price.

Grass Roots is located in my neighborhood when I need a quick juice pick me up, I come here. I always get the Bunny and switch the apple for orange. This time it was a little heavy on the ginger but it gets the job done. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The location is big and welcoming. You will find plenty of juice and smoothie options, as well as cool vegan products, energy shots, and funky spunky vegan gift items. If you find yourself in Williamsburg, and in need of an energy boost, look no further.

Hair in overpriced soggy prepared salad. Wish there were more options in the neighborhood. Gross to say the least.

I used to love this place. The food has gone down hill. I got a sandwich where they use the heel of the bread but flipped it inside it was so random, and then I bought spring rolls that looked to be missing onehalf. The quality control is a big zero. The coffee is good and the juices are great, but that place needs to train their staff and get it together.

It's been 2 years since my original review and grass roots has only gotten better with time. They have such a well curated selection of books, beauty products, gifts and healthy food. I love their immunity please shot, but their juices are also amazing as well as smoothies and salads. I also LOVE their pumpkin pie bars, spinach dip, and omg they have Bjorn corn and the best strawberries I've ever had!! Grassroots is a place I visit weekly to get my daily intake of fruit and veg and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Pro tip: use the harvest glow, cinful or legalize it as a base for overnight oats or your own smoothies at home it's so amazing ! The egg and pesto toast or the b12 oatmeal are amazing as well! Other favorites: Garlic quinoa salad Giselle salad Nana fit drink Vegan banana bread Winter warrior broth Chill milk Hot chocolate And the list never ends I am so thankful grassroots is still open during this time and thankful I can afford it! Not to mention Sabrina the owner is lovely !

I love decor of the store, especially those sitting areas are so comfortable. I have had just beach this time, flavor itself was ok, just feel a little overpriced. Staffs are friendly. Ps: Bring your jumper if you are going to dine in for quite a while, due to the store owner is so generous that turned air condition's temperature quite low:)

Got my haircut nearby on a 90-degree spring day and was attracted like a moth to the adorable store and colorful dining area inside. I got the acai bowl. The acai itself was okay, a little pale and on the icy side, and the bowl wasn't mixed at all. It was sloppy. They just scooped some acai, squeezed a toothpaste-sized tube of peanut butter on top, added some handfuls of granola and banana, and then charged me $8.50.

I love that they have later hours now so that I can go there after work and get a smoothies. All the ones I tried are great and they let you customize your drink which I love. I like that they carry cute gift type items and natural products.

This is a cute little place perfect to hang out with friends, at the same time you enjoy some yummy fresh pressed juice or coffee and or dessert. You can also find cute little gifts in here. Conveniently located right outside Graham ave Station on The L train. Definitely recommend this place to everyone who visiting the neighborhood or just wanted to come and get some delicious juices.

Grass Roots is the best juice in the neighborhood. I go all the time for fresh coconut juice, celery juice, mango slices etc. Everything is always fresh and delicious, no nonsense. This place is great, and the staff is friendly.

I stopped in here for a quick smoothie before going to breakfast with my boyfriend. He and I shared the Almond Butter and Banana smoothie, as well as a cinnamon doughnut. We were very impressed by both of the items that we got. They also have a section of little gifts and knick knacks to look at while waiting for your food. There were CBD products, as well as vegan makeup and pins. I think that there are products for anyone that walks through the door. We didn't go to the back, but it looked as though there was a pretty spacious area if you wanted to sit and enjoy your food there.

Absolutely love this place!!! Especially in an area where there aren't as many health food spots, this place is a godsend. Obsessed with their chocolate coconut mousse (THE BEST), almond date balls, matcha balls and hot chocolate. I also love that they sell Honey Mama's and the Rancho Melduco dates here, both of which I'm obsessed with. Great selection of juices and curated retail section as well. An east williamsburg wellness haven!

My girlfriend and I came into this overpriced establishment this morning. We ordered two orders of the Toast with their special butter and honey. One w avocado and one w egg. Not only did it take 15 minutes, but they forgot one of the orders and had to take another 10 minutes for the second. But that's not what bothered me most. It was the fact that their toast is ONE piece of toast!! One thin piece of toast with a little butter and honey and the topping we got (avocado or egg) which is EXTRA money. So for $6 per order, we walked out of there still starving!! One piece of toast?? Never heard of that in my life. That's a racket. That's robbery. We were hungry and wanted something healthy. Walk out starving and pissed.

Friendly staff and feel-good smoothies! I LOVE this place! I always get the power of cacao smoothie in the mornings and it gives me some pep in my step. Also try their salmon tartine!

I absolutely love this place and will go out of my way to come here. I first tried their Best Breakfast smoothie years ago, and it always stuck out in my mind as the best smoothie that I've ever tasted. When I finally made it back to Grass Roots, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had expanded the space to include a fantastic shop carrying all sorts of cool products and a really enjoyable seating area in the back! Every time I've been there, many seats in the back have been available. The Best Breakfast smoothie was still on the menu (yay!), as well as so many other delicious & thoughtful drinks and food items. The fridge was full of delicious pre-made items, and I've fallen in love with the tofu scramble. The smoothies are super filling and surprisingly inexpensive compared to many of the other smoothie places in the area. Also, you have to try the matcha energy bites! The gift shop is really fun to check out while you wait for your smoothie.

Loved it!!!!! PB&J smoothie is my favorite and that banana bread people are great super friendly cashier was awesome totally going back!

Fresh juices, reasonably priced. Mine (the bunny I think it was) was prepared super quickly on Sunday morning by a pleasant staff person. Was delicious and as described. The store side is hella cute and bright. I'd love to be back to work my way through the juices and smoothies.

Just yesterday, I ordered the "Local Lozenge" before a visit to the doctor's office and waited for about 15mins for it. When my drink was ready. I could tell the barista was having some trouble securing the top on my drink. When she finally handed it over, she looked a little "guilty," but I had to run, so I didn't think anything of it. I stepped outside to walk toward the train and stopped to take a sip of my drink. It was so unbearably hot that I burned my tongue immediately. Also, the top of my cup wouldn't stay on. Perhaps it should have been a clue to the person who made the drink that if the plastic top was losing its shape as she topped it, the drink might be too hot. As I walked onto the train platform, I tried cooling my drink by blowing on it, but couldn't top it and it was really too hot to hold even through the heat-absorbing sleeve. So there I was, holding this drink I couldn't drink and couldn't hold or cover on a moving train. Now it's the next day and the doctor gave me some meds to help me get over this cold. Major bummer, though, that aside from fever, chills, a really bad sore throat and an incessant cough, I also burned off my taste buds, so i can't even taste my food now. Thanks for that, guys. I paid money to make me feel worse during a cold.

I will never return to this store again. I have been a customer at this location for over 2 years and I just walked in with my tote bag (as usual because they charge 25 cents a bag) and was getting over $200 worth of items and placing them in my tote bag to purchase at the register because I didn't want to walk around carrying a bunch of products in my hands since I thought they didn't have carriers. Turns out they do have carriers but they are behind a bunch of product on the very right side of the store so it is very hard to see. Anyhow, I'm placing juices, sea moss, snacks, etc in my tote bag to purchase at the register and the owner starts screaming at me yelling "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" and I responded with "I'm putting items in my tote bag to purchase at the register because I don't want to carry all of this" and she continues to yell at me accusing me of stealing. Are you kidding me? I'm literally trying to be eco friendly by bringing my own bag and also trying to considerate of people standing in line at the register by not putting my items at the cash register. I've been coming to this place for two years. That just shows you how little they care for their customers. I have bright pink hair and am easily recognizable yet the owner has no idea who I am and accuses me of stealing. I've honestly wanted to stop coming here in the past based on how they treat their customers and now you can guarantee I will never be returning despite it being the only juice bar close to my house. I've never experienced such disrespect in a wellness location in my entire life and I've worked in wellness for the last 10 years. It is literally my job to curate wellness products for locations just like grassroots. I will also be contacting all my connections in the wellness industry who sell their products there to let them know of the terrible customer service I just experienced there today. They should honestly be ashamed of themselves.

This is my favorite place to go when I have a hangover! The Espresso Buzz with caffeine and fruit always makes me feel better. But I also really love the PB&J, calypso, eat a peach and almond butter banana. If you're looking for an amazing smoothie then this is the place.
