GRAVITY Seoul Pangyo, Autograph Collection (Seongnam, Seoul) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Just south of Seoul in the Budang district sits Korea’s equivalent of Silicon Valley, a planned cityscape of broad avenues interspersed with leafy parkland. GRAVITY Seoul Pangyo occupies a bustling corner at the epicenter, equally attractive to the business and leisure sets. There’s an elegant rooftop cocktail bar for a nightcap and a well-equipped gym with sauna rooms for the morning after. Bright, clean-lined rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, chic furnishings, and abstract wall art." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed here for quite a long time. Pros: could stay here under the radar, whereas the nearby Courtyard the employees started to greet us all the time and make small talk. The breakfast was not as grand as Courtyard but I was still happy with it. It still had a lot of options. Rooms were fine and no windows open unfortunately for fresh air. It’s a nice hotel and a bit more relaxed than the Courtyard. Location is excellent; you are central to everything in Pangyo.

This is our second time staying at this hotel and it seems that a couple of things have slipped since last year when we last visited. Firstly, the bathroom has a very strong smell of mold - which gets worse after you shower. I couldn’t see mold visible, but I suspect it is coming from the drainage. The smell is strong enough for a non sensitive person to notice it. There is also a strange smell in elevators, but I suspect it is related to people using the elevator to go to and from the pool. The breakfast seems to have gotten worse in terms of offerings from last year, but the staff are pleasant and helpful. The pool is great and well managed.

Central hotel near to tube line and amenities. Rooms spacious and well equipped. Housekeeping fabulous. Cafe in lobby was good. As was the bar on the roof, both a bit expensive. Only minor boggle was a piece of plaster missing from ceiling but it didn’t detract from the other positive aspects.

Used to be v. good then service tanked. ||This was one of my favorite hotels and one I insisted my staff and colleagues should stay at. Color and new hotel w a good pool and excellent location. ||However recently they have been so cold in terms of service ~ room there is never anything nice in there ~ no upgrades, filled minibar or little wine and chocolate. Which they used to. Not you can see it for what it is ~ an empty sterile and small room.||Breakfast is rushed and rude. And expensive as sin if you don’t have it included. ||Pool you can only go once per day so forget putting in a short swim before and after work if that’s your thing. It’s just everything got so complicated for the guests all of the sudden. And it’s the only place w a good pool in the area.

First of all, as lifetime platinum Delta members we booked this stay via a Delta promotion, our first and last time for doing that. After checking with Marriott, we were assured that our Marriott status would remain intact with all of our lifetime Platinum benefits. That was confirmed in writing on our Marriott reservation/confirmation. However, the night before our stay, that confirmation info disappeared. After spending at least an hour on the phone with Delta and Marriott, we were once again assured that our member status would be honored, and it was confirmed by Marriott with apologies. When checking in, we were shocked to see that it had once again been removed and the manager refused to honor it! Are you kidding me? We did not have a problem with either of the other two Marriotts booked via this promotion. This hotel was recommended by a prominent business associate and at the risk of offending him, we stayed anyway, knowing this hotel doesn't even have a Marriott members lounge and we wouldn’t be missing out on much. I gave this hotel two stars for the few pros mentioned in this review below. |Pro's|It is in very close proximity to the transit station, restaurants, and amazing high-end shopping mall with an incredible food court and food store. There is also washing machines and dryers, which is a huge plus when traveling extensively, but you should allow extra time for drying your clothes, like several hours. |Con's|After just having left a Marriott in Japan, following a 5-night stay, this hotel was a huge let down. But having stayed in countless Marriotts around the world, it would have been a letdown regardless. Every inch of our room's walls was stained or marked. It appeared that urine stains were on the wall in our toilet room. There were multiple black hairs in our coffee service drawer, and I found a dead bug in my bed sheets! Gross! They also charged us for every coffee pod we used in our rom. Crazy. We rectified this by buying more from the Lotte supermarket down the road. As mentioned previously, there is no member lounge in this hotel. Since they denied us our platinum lifetime benefits, we also did not receive a free breakfast, but there are numerous Starbucks in the vicinity, along with restaurants and we determined not to spend one dime in this hotel after the way we were treated. We requested luggage racks twice but never received them, so we had to leave our bags on the floor for 5 days, which was difficult for me after back surgery. We also requested wash cloths twice but never received them. (If they didn't offer them, they should have just said so). |I don’t think I’ve ever written a bad review for a Marriott, but this one could not be avoided. We will probably get an online apology after posting this review, but that is of no benefit. I would not recommend this hotel.

Perfect location next to Hyundai Department Store, business center in Pangyo and subway station. Great gym and small but great quality swimming pool. Food is quite decent with buffet and Italian.

What a wonderful experience that we had for 8 days in Gravity Seoul Pangyo!! - Great location/excellent customer service/great gym/coin laundry on the 4th floor/incredible daily breakfast/cheaper than most Marriotts & Westins in Seoul - One thing that makes this hotel stand out is its customer-first policy. Levi who welcomed us with a check-in was so kind and wonderful. He was very cooperative and was willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable and exciting. His professionalism and efficiency during the check-in process were truly appreciated. Many thanks to Sana Kim whose housekeeping services exceeded all our expectations. We are grateful for her impeccable service during our stay and her attention to detail made all the difference. The breakfast buffet at Andish was delicious!! They offer a wide variety of choices and ALL food was fresh, high quality, and tasting great. All the staff is awesome and very attentive. Special thanks to Aaron Park and Rachel Kim for clearing our table.Their hard work, friendly service and great attitude truly made our early breakfast meal enjoyable. To sum it up, genuine hospitality left a lasting impression and greatly contributed to the positive experience we had at the hotel. The only downside is that their air-con is centrally controlled, so you cannot adjust it on your own.

Excellent breakfast. Best hotel gym I have ever seen, it has pretty much everything including bench barbell with plates and heavy dumbells. Also very close to metro and bus station.
