I asked the cobbler that we have been going for years for recommendations for dress shoes that could be resoled and lasted for long time for my husband and he recommended this shop. It was our first time here, and we were surprised to see a wide variety of shoes they offered, to very high end ones. It was also very bright and spacious inside. My husband found one pair of dress shoes that fitted him very well and reasonably priced - less than $300 and it was their house brand that was made in Italy. We would see how well the shoes will hold up but we were happy with our shopping experience here.

Gravity Pope is the best shoe store in Vancouver …this goes for the Gastown location too. Hands down the best selection in all of Vancouver! They carry good quality Italian brands (and others) that you can’t find anywhere else such as MoMA, Officine Creative..etc…. Their customer support team is also amazing (shout out to Aimee and team) any time I’ve had a question or any type of issue they are always very responsive and helpful! Yes, their shoes are on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. They also have more affordable options too. They don’t sell poor quality shoes. They sell quality brands and these shoes will last you many years …. and they always have great sales

I was reminded why I do not like shopping or purchasing from GP anymore on Saturday, November 1 when I visited to pick up my PAID in-advance transfer. First, I received a text with a pickup deadline, then an apology realizing it was paid for and said come anytime. I show up on Saturday to receive poor service from a female who was more interested to get me out of the store. She shows up with the box, asks for text message and says "here you go". First of all, I have a somewhat unique name, so who's going to walk in with that name and say I received a text to pick ... second, she does not open or offer to try it on. Thank goodness, I said something because it was the wrong shoes in the box!! Next, she does not apologize. Instead, she offers a refund!!!! Look, I want the shoes I paid for. I go to counter with her and she is still offering the refund. She has a lack of interest to find out what happened or to offer to bring in the correct ones. I'm refusing the refund and insisting her to bring it in from another store because the orginal associate said it was at 2 other stores. She mentions the refund again! I stood my ground and told her to bring in the other pair, which she will probably call me today and say no!! Whether I get these shoes or not, I recommend to spend your money elsewhere!!! I want to support Canadian businesses, but if this is the new customer service standard here or anywhere, then remember, you are paying their cheques - remember that. Another entitled sales person and complacent business in Vancouver - just what we need. Update 11/04 - Female associate said she would call with update on Sunday. She did not. I called Monday and the person who answered "Oh yes, I see a post-it that says it's coming from another store". Such great customer service! *Sarcasm*

I went to GP first thing this morning as I was leaving town. I wanted to by a specific set of shoes but they didn’t work out for me. However I was able to get a pair of super cute Adidas Sambas instead. A big thank you to the very lovely Isabella, Sophia and Celina! They were helpful, charming and bring a great vibe to the store.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the staff were super helpful. I tried on several sizes and styles of shoes until I found something I was happy with. The staff were attentive, helpful and patient while I decided which shoes to buy. They also had good knowledge of Canadian products which is what I was looking for. Thanks to Sofie for being so helpful.

Excellent shoe selection. Jordan was super patient at helping me try on all styles that were so similar until I found the perfect one! Very low pressure buying environment. I had an issue after I bought my shoes and needed them replaced even though I'd worn them. The customer service on this end was uncomplicated and very helpful!
