I came in today with my sister and we were looking for shoes, the worker, i believe her name was Anita - was so helpful and active in helping us find what we were looking for and was very kind the whole time. A great employee to have she was a gem!

I’ve been trying to upgrade my style, so I popped into gravity pope. Beautiful store. Grace helped me pick out a new pair of trainers that are stylish and also have good support. Absolutely will come back!

Excellent customer service and products. Jules helped me order a specific colour of Camper sandals from a West coast location that are not carried in store in Toronto. I received a timely phone call to alert me to their arrival in store. I was able to communicate well with staff to postpone my pick up date. Sam helped me when I arrived in store to try on and pay for my sandals. He cleaned them (as they had some black marks on them possibly made by a previous customer trying them on). I was able to use my West Queen West BIA anycard gift card. All in all, highly recommended. Lots of comfortable seating.

I love the selection of shoes at Gravity Pope! The service on the other hand could definitely improve. I’ve shopped here many times & can honestly say I have never had a great experience with customer service. While I appreciate the staff has to go up and down stairs to get shoes (which takes extra time), I find that where customer experience is lacking is in the overall store culture/attitude. Every staff member I have interacted with has made me feel like I am an inconvenience to them. I have always had to seek someone out & I have never once been greeted walking in or while walking around the store. I will continue to shop there because I enjoy their unique selection of footwear but if you’re expectation is good customer service in a reasonable amount of time this isn’t the place for you!

Just had a fantastic experience with Aimee from the web team with a defective product. Fast and amazing service. Side note: I think people forget that gravitypope is a Canadian owned family business at its core with owner Louise being a truly badass business woman who puts a lot of thought and heart into her brand choices and store designs.

"Experience a truly unique shopping adventure at this delightful store. From mass-market finds to one-of-a-kind treasures, it's sure to capture your heart. With its spacious layout, charming antique vibes, reasonable prices, and diverse selection, it's a must-visit destination if you're in the neighborhood."

Was wondering around Vancouver's Gastown and went in to check out the winter sale merch. Excellent selection and prices but flying back to Toronto with limited luggage space. They graciously offered to ship the Italian made boots to their Toronto store so yeah! Just a note...impossible parking anywhere near the Toronto location. I was illegally parked or would have spent some time looking through there.

Love the unique selection at Gravity Pope. Always see so many beautiful shoes! Shawn is lovely and extremely knowledgeable. She was able to help me find a beautiful pair of sandals that I am so excited to wear! Thank you Shawn 😊

Yelp
Great service from Cole last week. I just popped into the store as I was passing and saw the sale sign. Cole greeted me and helped me in the best way. I ended up buying TWO pairs of Birks and LOVE THEM!!! Thank you so much. The last time I had been in the shop many years ago it wasn't nearly as welcoming. Another staff member complimented me on my beloved necklace. Lovely experience. Thank you!

Yelp
Gorgeous, well made high quality leather shoes & boots, but a little pricey. However, I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for and their prices are justified!

Yelp
I bought 3 pairs of shoes from Gravity Pope West 4th location with help from store manager Emma Cooper and her team. AMAZING SERVICE Didn't matter how many pairs of shoes I needed to try on - the attitude was "no problem at all - you need to get the shoes that are right for you". The team was welcoming to my dog and comfortable seating was available for my husband who finds my shopping a painful experience. I ordered a pair of shoes and Emma remembered my name the next visit. What an awesome experience. Thank you Emma and team!!!

Yelp
The people who run the online are careless , made an order for $ 720 , cancelled my order thinking I am reseller , what a terrible store this is when you think you support a small business, where is the owner of the store , don't shop from this store online ? Not worth your time , workers poorly trained !

Yelp
Gravitypope has a lot to offer in terms of selection, I will give them that. They also have good sales once in a while too. But honestly, don't even bother ordering online. You have to spend $300 for free shipping, which is ludicrous in this day and age. Anything under $300 is a $20 shipping fee. Also if the shoes don't work out for whatever reason, and they are willing to even take them back for a refund/store credit, you have to pay for return shipping to Edmonton, Alberta -- they won't accept online returns at their store. With so many other online options with more flexible policies, gravitypope needs to step up their game or I can't see them lasting much longer.

Yelp
I ordered a pair of shoes from them. I had to phone a few days later to find out when I could expect to do curbside pick up. Thet said the shoes were being shipped from another location and could expect them within 4 days. 6 days later, nothing! I email and get a slap you in the face reponse ' sorry for the inconvienience' ! 9 days to say they don't have any. I could have purchased elsewhere but no communication whatsoever now leaves me with no shoes and still no refund. Be aware!!!

Yelp
Wow, this place is expensive... But it's a shoe lover's dream. Well-stocked, organized, friendly service. They carry beautiful repetto ballet flats in every colour imaginable. The Bay on Queen St. also carries repetto, but Gravity Pope has more styles, including repetto heels. They do have some more affordable brands, including their house brand, plus the usual birkenstocks, blundstones, Frye, etc. (similar to Get Outside). They also have a small selection of Camper's. But there are also a lot of brands I hadn't heard of, with prices around $500 for sandals! There's a small sale section and maybe I'll go back at the end of season to see if there are better sales. They also carry some clothing and accessories for men and women, as well as a small selection of kids stuff. Definitely worth stopping by, even if just to window shop!

Yelp
Let's just get it straight: There aren't any "bargains" to be found at this store! If you're buying shoes here, not on-sale items, you will be paying AT LEAST a coupla bills, easy. However, they do carry brands that you may only find at TNT/Holt Renfrew, re: Fiorentini + Baker, Church's (love!!!), Repetto, Frye, Camper (not as uncommon), etc. Quality shoes. While I browsed, a coupla sales staff did ask if I needed help and they weren't pretentious. So rating reflects on prettiness of store, product, not price! ;)

Yelp
I love Gravity Pope. I always find shoes that I love. The Italian shoes are to die for and I found a beautiful pair of converse for my grandson! I've bought 2 pair of shoes and 2 pairs of running shoes. Some of the sales people could be more customer service oriented, though.

Yelp
The shoe selection here is truly exceptional. The best in the city. However, many of the shoes are simply not affordable for the average person. Sometimes they have sales. One of my issues with gravitypope is customer service. Interestingly, I find the female staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable, but some of the males need training - I found two of them in particular to be very blasé and they each failed to provide a level of service that I would expect to see at a high-quality shop. I tried on a pair of shoes and I was ready to buy, except that they were damaged (the leather was chipped on the side). Instead of offering me a discount or offering to repair them, my options were to: (a) buy the damaged shoes at full price or (b) go home. On principle alone, I went home. I then found the same pair of shoes online for $20 less and they were shipped to my home the following week. Win-win for me! At the end of the day, this is a monopoly-type situation because there is no better selection of shoes in Toronto. The men's shoe and clothing selection is equally impressive as the women's and the prices are somewhat more reasonable for guys.

Yelp
They have a large selection of unique quality shoes for women, and a decent amount for men. I didn't find the range of styles varied enough for men. I was actually shopping for my partner. The prices are very high. The only pair I liked for him were $850. But I guess that's the price for high quality.

Yelp
Good selection of men's footwear. Vans to Clark's to red wings. Mens wear from cdg to Pendleton. Tnt of the west, kinda. Only issue, my mom was trying to buy something which was marked on sale and the check out girl was trying to tell her that it wasn't on sale and she will have to pay the full price, even though it was clearly marked...

Yelp
I like this place but admittedly I usually wait for sales. It's a bit pricey. The quality of shoes and clothes are great and the customer care is even better. Th store is filled with natural light and it's welcoming. Upstairs in the women's clothing section I'm not really all that impressed and the price tag for the average item is wayyyy overpriced. I come here for shoes. The customer service is great!

Yelp
Their Kitsilano store was a favourite of mine when I lived in Vancouver. I was really disappointed when this one opened, so much so that (despite living very close) it took me almost a year to go back. Still not a fan, it seems gravitypope left their laid back attitude on the west coast. If you are okay paying these prices there are better options for shoes around queen west. This place thinks it much better than it is.

Yelp
I like dressing nicely. In fact, I know more about fashion than the gf, even though she dress very well too. To my knowledge they biggest sale they have is like 10% or 15% off full priced items each year. I know, eh? I think twice a year they'll have 40% off sale, but the stuff I like is never on sale ... ANYWAY Only going to talk about the men's shoes: This store carries a great deal of both low-end and higher end shoes (mid-tier=churchs if you frequent SF). The thing about shoes in general is that most of the time, their price to quality ratio is pretty much on par. The more expensive the shoe is, the better quality it is (again, this is generally only for dress shoes). That is true when it comes to high-end men's fashion, like Gaziano & Girling ($1500+), Crockett & Jones ($650+), Alden($500+), Carmina ($500+), and Allen Edmonds ($300 - 500). The aforementioned brands demonstrate QUALITY with an increasing price point. However, this store carries some "fashionable" shoe brands like Mr. Hare, which is blake-welted shoe with corrected grain (I think) and priced at $900? That is ridiculous, considering I can buy a pair of Alden cordovans or Alfred Sargents for less money, which are both Goodyear Welted and far better quality! For example, they sell the brand "Fluevog", which seems to be cemented (sole is glued on / adhesive construction) for $300. That is preposterous! I can purchase a pair of Goodyear welted Allen Edmonds (full grain leather) for $300 when it's on sale (~4x a year in Toronto). The AE are better looking and the quality is exponentially better. Secondly, some of the shoes here are out of date, namely some of the Church's styles. Note that Church's quality has fallen with being acquired by Prada. *Edit: They keep both old and new stock. Gravity Pope seem to not offer any discounts on their old stock if it's "brand name", like Arcteryx Veilance and Church's, even though if it's from the seasons before. They need to realize that other stores in Toronto are offering large markdowns on their old stock at the end of the season to bring in the new stock...like Harry Rosen. Gravity Pope needs to hire better pricing strategists because I personally feel much of the stuff will be hard to sell with the exuberant prices now.

Yelp
Grabbed a pair of kicks from here. What a dope store... And to the people who complain that it's to expensive that's fine if you keep walking down queen you'll find an Aldo store ... Staff is super friendly and Kristina was very knowledgable and helpful when I choosing a pair of jeans. Has a great eye for what fits and works and what doesn't. Totally shopping here again

Yelp
Was obsessed with a pair of shoes from their store brand. They called when various possible sizes became available. I think they know me in that store, which is a bit embarrassing, but they were very helpful, and the shoes are fabulous.

Yelp
I went into Gravity Pope looking for a pair of comfortable work shoes. I had a 95hr week coming up at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, most of it spent standing. The sales woman suggested I try on a pair of camper's, which I've never worn before. They've been the best pair of shoes! By the end of the week, I had sore legs but my feet were in great shape. Gravity Pope have great shoes, really impressive stock plus staff who are efficient and knowledgeable. The sales woman, Mel, really knew her products. Thank you - I will be back.

Yelp
Shoe selection is pretty good, staff attitude is not. I felt like I was inconveniencing the man just trying to buy a pair of 500$ boots. Sorry dude, I'll go "inconvenience" someone else at some other store.

Monica B.

Yelp
I've been here several times and I love the selection of shoes. I have mixed feelings about the service. The last time I was in I was basically ignored for 20 mins. I tried shoes on myself and then I just left because no one was around to help even though it was basically empty of customers. I'm sure there was a reason and we are all humans and drop the ball at times. I'll still shop here eventually, I just need a break after my last experience.

Erica K.

Yelp
Incredibly helpful and patient staff and a great selection of hard to find brands like Repetto and Rachel Comey. Plenty of room to try on shoes without feeling rushed or crowded. Only complaint is that there isn't an elevator for accessing the other floors.

Yelp
I was in the Toronto store tonight. It was not busy, only 1 or 2 customers in the store. When I walked in, someone shouted "Hi" from the cashier counter. I walked to the clothes section. I was literally circle the section over 10 to 15 mins. No one came to say hi or asked do I need help. I looked over and saw 4 to 5 staffs all chatting to each other by the cashier counter. Finally I asked one of them for help. I have a list of items that I found from the website printed. I asked the guy "could you check and see if any of these items you have in the store". He took my paper, without look at it and said nothing, he passed it to someone else to check. Then the other person checked in the system, and found some of my items only available in Edmonton location. He simply said they don't have in the store and without offer me that they can ship to me or the store. After that I went back to the clothes section for another 5 mins. Still no one will come to ask do I need any other help or would I like to try anything. Anyway, I have been shopping in your store for long time. I love come to the store cause the staffs were very friendly and helpful back then, but not now. It is getting worst and worst. To be honest, I have better service buying a $2 t-shirt from the Old Navy or Walmart than the service I had tonight.
