Graze Wine Bar

There's a lot to like about Graze, this was a truly exceptional experience and incredible meal. I visited for a solo Saturday lunch and was seated at the Chef's Bar. The menu is exciting and innovative with seventeen different items to choose from, you can either order individual items of your choosing or opt for one of two sets, the "Snack Attack" with a few plates chosen at random or "The Full Shabang" which has one of everything portioned to your group size. It was too hard to choose so I went with The Full Shabang! Over the course of the next 90 minutes or so I was treated to course after course of considered, seasonal dining. The passion of the team is really on show with each dish, the plating is perfect and they share so much detail about the hyperlocal ingredients. It's hard to choose a favourite when everything is so good but the paua and butterfish hot dog was probably the most interesting for me! There is an extensive list of cocktails, non-alcs, wines by the bottle or by the glass. I had a non-alc beer as well as their summer wine flight, both were excellent. The location in Kelburn is convenient, for tourists it's a short walk from the cable car station and for locals, well you're lucky to have such a fantastic neighbourhood wine bar! You won't regret giving Graze a go. Thanks Chef Max and team!

Wonderful place. Very small and intimate. Husband and wife started this beautiful restaurant and the rest of the team are amazing. The place works with perfect precision yet every so often, you see someone dancing to a song they like as they prep your dish. Worth every penny and then some. If you are a foodie, this is your place.

I highly recommend coming here after a twilight or night tour at Zealandia. It was the perfect nightcap and a great place for a snack and glass of wine. The food was excellent and demonstrates great attention to detail and the natural, chilled red wine was a great pairing. Overall, one of, if not the best wine bars I’ve been to!

A simply exceptional dining experience. We did the "full shebang" tasting of every item on the menu (it really was every item!) and thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. The cured kahawai tarts, paua patty melt and pierogi were probably the standouts amongst an impressive and satisfying lineup. We appreciated the pescatarian, locally sourced and minimal waste ethos. The pacing was excellent - not too fast or slow. The overall quantity of food was also perfect - we were satiated but not uncomfortably full by the end! Their wine by the glass menu is also phenomenal. The chef's table experience definitely elevated the experience even further, and we enjoyed the opportunity to see the dishes being created for us. Max, the head chef, was also very personable and his passion for the food shows. The rest of the team were also all warm and friendly but without being intrusive. Would highly recommend and readily return to. A big thank you to Max and the rest of the team!

Gorgeous, fun, cool, great people. We did the whole menu and it was honestly too much food, but it was so fun, come hungry!

I went here with my girlfriend and we ordered the Butterfish Crudo, Roasted Zuchini and matcha ice cream desert. The food was a culinary experience nothing like a pub style steak chips and a beer. Smaller portions and very very flavourful it blew me away. Paired well with their range of wines. The service was fabulous the waiters really know their surroundings and are very attentive to you. Nothing like fast paced diners. The atmosphere is a bit loud but to be expected when most people are drinking wine. Reasonably priced 3 wines 3 meals $110

Incredible food - we will no doubt be dreaming of it until we can next get to Wellington and experience it again. The hazelnut, plum, and beetroot dish was an incredible start, followed by hit after hit. Lovely service and ambiance too.
