The service and atmosphere was great! Plenty of outdoor seating and very attentive staff. The Nashville hot crispy chicken sandwich was delicious! I'm not a big beer drinker personally so I tried their cider and it was so refreshing. I would absolutely come here again.

Google
Kensington did amazing serving us tonight. She really knows her stuff, had great suggestions, and executed our experience shining bright!! She made sure all our food was good, didn't leave us in our own mess, and provided us a fabulous time!

Google
Great food and beer, I really enjoy this location due to the selection of the menu. I like that they use local meat from park ranch and that they have a bigger selection of actual dinner entrees. We will definitely be back to this location.

Just dined in with my family and the food was delicious 10/10. High quality flavorful food. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, fried chicken sandwich, Mac attack burger (subbed the pretzel for a brioche bun), and salmon tacos. The buns were fresh and very good. Their sauces were very tasty. We got the bbq and ranch. Fries AMAZING. The drunken jalapeño poppers were absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back.

Google
If I could split this up, it would be 4 stars for beer and 5 stars for food. The beer is fine and they had plenty of options. The service staff was great. The food though, was super good, all 3 members of my party loved their dishes. Except the Fried Pickles, they were fine, but fried pickle spears are an abomination. Fried Pickle chips OTOH are amazing. But alas, they had spears. They were house pickled though, so that was awesome. We got the Grilled Cheese, Stuff Jalapenos, a Burger, and some Totchos. We enjoyed them all immensely.

Google
The food was good. The beer was great and the service what phenomenal. Ruth was a fantastic server! She needs a Mac Attack before her last day. Also thanks so much for the sweet sticker!

Google
Brady was our server and he was the BEST!! Very informative on the beers and had great suggestions. The fried pickles were absolutely delicious.

Google
Food was good. Aidan was very attentive and friendly. Despite being busy we were seated quickly.

Yelp
We went to Great Basin on a Sunday as we road tripped from Colorado to California. The staff asked how we were doing, we said on a road trip so they went out of their way with timely and attentive service to get us in our way. The food was great and the beer was flavorful and delicious. Staff was happy and we felt very welcomed. We will definitely be back again. If Ulysses was our server and was spot on.

Yelp
Relaxing sports bar with great food and atmosphere. The wait staff was kind and attentive. The patty melt was fresh and juicy. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Yelp
Stopped in for my birthday dinner. Started with a fried zucchini and pretzel with beer cheese appetizers. Both were great, especially the beer cheese and pretzel. Soft pretzel and gooey cheese was wonderful. Generous portions for the kids menu with their chicken nuggets and fries with apple juice. We ended up taking just about a full kid's meal home because it was so plentiful. Eight crispy chicken nuggets and a basket of fries. The rest of us had the fish and chips. They were also great. Fish fried crunchy and delicious served with coleslaw, ranch dip, and tartar sauce. Was a great birthday dinner. Our server was fabulous too. He was very attentive, and our order was accurate and delivered in a timely manner. Parking is never a problem out front. We had a booth for the five of us and it wasn't that busy so we could have our conversation at our table with no problem. Great Basin Brewing is a great place for family and friends to gather and enjoy great food reasonably priced.

Yelp
Came in for lunch and struggled to pick something as everything looked so good in the yelp photos. Had been craving a wrap so I got the special. The food didn't disappoint here. Kennedi was my bar tender and she did a lot phenomenal job and deserves 5 stars. Service was excellent. If you're in the area it's definitely worth stopping in.

Yelp
They graciously accommodated a section to fit about 25 people! The service was amazing from start to finish and since we were a volleyball team, they separated each bill by Jersey number and made it easy for each family to pay individually. To top it off, food and drinks were on point!

Yelp
Another great visit to Great basin! The staff is always friendly and attentive, the foods good with lot's of options, and you can always fine a beer on tap. One my families go to restaurants that we know we will all find something we like. We always seem to get a table quickly and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. The Basin Burger is always a win, and I love the Great Basin fries that are more of a steak cut but also seasoned and cooked well. The French Dip was also good, I would order it again. The kids menu has several options appealing for our kids, but they usually end up with pizza or a kids burger. We also ordered BBQ wings and they were very tasty as well.

Yelp
Went with a party of about 8-9. The appetizer, food and drinks were ok. A little spendy but seems to be the normal these days. Waitress did not come around very often. Was there for almost 2 hrs and never even got a refill on water. Did manage to get another drink but only because she brought out some soup and i asked her. Gratuity was already added to the bill which is ok, but does that mean for them not to come by?

Yelp
Easily one of our favorite places to eat for special occasions and weekend brunch. The food is not only delicious but it's consistent and you know it will be great every time. Yum!

Yelp
Great Basin Brewing has good food, good beer, and great service. We visit occasionally and we always enjoy the experience. They consistently make good burgers and sandwiches. And, the staff are always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fun and casual. It'd be hard not to have fun here.

Yelp
Interesting art & ambiance. Epic "Used Beer Department". Decent food, noisy dining room, booths too small, yet still worth going back for some time.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Basin is your standard brewing company with a full service restaurant. They were able to accommodate a large party for us and provided good service. The food was a little slow to arrive but it was very good. The restaurant is nice and clean. Kind of rustic with paintings mounted on the ceiling. We had mini corn dogs, and zucchini fries as apps. The corn dogs were interesting as they are like a bratwurst. The fries were fantastic. For my meal I got the spaghetti and it was really good. I think it could benefit from more sauce as it was pretty dry. The icky bread was good too. Nothing special but was very fresh.

Yelp
On mondays free beer with purchase of sandwich or burger. This place is part of the beer passport and the service was great. Beers on tap and they take card. Lots of parking. They also sell their bread. I really liked the beer cheese soup

Yelp
We had dinner at Great Basin Brewing Company last night. last night. The atmosphere was great, the server, Jamie, was wonderful. I ordered the fish tacos and my husband ordered the fish and chips. My only disappointment was that there wasn't very much seasoning on the fish. It was pretty bland. I added lemon juice, salt, and it made it a little better but I was still disappointed. The fries were delicious. There was plenty of food that we had enough to bring home for lunch. I did see our server take a big huge plate of nachos to the table across from us. It was big enough for a family of four. I was amused by this sign above the entrance to the bathroom area so I thought I would share it.

Yelp
Nice selection of craft and bottled beers, along with a full bar. Slots available at the bar if that's your thing. Decent food menu with specials just about every day. Staff is very friendly offering samples of the draft brews.

Yelp
Drunken Stuffed Jalapeños starter was a fabulous starter with plenty to share. We have not had anything bad at any location of Great Basin. We are regulars working our way through the menu. Join the loyalty program it's worth it. Always clean tables. Great environment.

Yelp
We have been coming here for their grilled salmon with carrots and broccolini, but they took it off the menu, so we haven't been at Great Basin for a while. We happened to be in Reno, and we thought we see if there were any new items on their menu. To my surprise, they added a Salmon Bowl, and it is outstanding. It's a filet of salmon over brown rice with avocado, pickled ginger, edamame, marinaded carrots, etc. Great Basin always had fresh tasting salmon, and this dish is really refreshing and NOT a diet killer! We will be returning to Reno and this will be our first stop!

Yelp
Food We opted for a bunch of appetizers to go with the several flights of beer we ordered. The appetizers: willy dilly pickles, kung pao brussel sprouts, battered zuchinni and stuffed jalapeno cream cheese were all good. The brussel sprouts and zuchinni were our favorites. The beer flight was incredibly helpful if you just want to taste several beers and don't know what you want. Service was good and ambiance was typical of a brewing place. Lots of parking. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Kids has pepperoni pizza 3/5 Basic cheeseburger medium was cooked well. Brioche bun was thick and dry (if I drank beer than that may have worked out in my favor)...3/5 French fries 4/5 We tried Incline Burger in Midtown. They were wayyyyyyyyy better. I would return to Incline Burger before Great Basin...
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped by for drinks and some snacks while we waited to drop our friends off at the airport. Our cocktails were good, with the exception of our espresso martinis. We got some desserts to satisfy our sweet tooth, which were warm and delicious!

Yelp
I feel like Great Basin is nearly synonymous with the Reno/Sparks area and for good reason; they have some memorable beers (although they never have Witty Bitch on tap enough IMO) and a sizable menu. Admittedly my past few visits haven't exactly lived up to the legend. This most recent visit had the fries on the burnt side and the meat of the burger was fiercely dry unfortunately. Service was surprisingly absent although the dining room was maybe 20% capacity, but not totally MIA. The dining room has always had a chill vibe and I love seeing the tanks though since Revision has taken over their brewing I'm not quite sure if they are used or just for show these days.

Yelp
The food here is great. We usually sit at the bar because Mellissa is a great bartender her service is great. The restaurant is great and ambience is upbeat. We are regulars and love the place.

Yelp
I think what helps Great Basin Brewing Co. earn a five star review is that their menu offerings have something for absolutely everyone! My husband and his buddies love going for their burgers and beers! Great Basin offers a special on Mondays: buy a burger and get a free beer. I am a total sucker for their salmon bowl which is both delicious and nutritious. This location can get pretty busy, but I have found that Great Basin is usually well-staffed and we never have any issues with the service. Everyone is always incredibly friendly and as prompt as they can be. In addition to dining and you can order online for takeout.

Yelp
My family and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Virginia City last weekend. We were super excited to visit this location after having an amazing experience at their Minden location last Fall, but ended up having a horrible experience. Our son ordered the spaghetti and meatball kids meal and ended up getting food poisoning and threw up all over our back seat on our long car ride home. We will def not be returning to this location.

Yelp
We were in Reno for a VB tournament and came here for a group of 15-16. Was great! Tried and liked the Hazy IPA. Did the Ahi tuna salad and French Dip as a share w Mrs. Enjoyed! Service great. Good for groups, teens and ....volleyball fans! Would repeat.

Yelp
We had all just eaten breakfast and not quite yet ready for lunch, but we were waiting to check into our Air BnB, so we stopped here for a little bite and some drinks. I got the Bacon Cheesy Fries and a Paloma. Everyone else was having fun with their beer flights, and some others also got some food. Service was excellent, and we all enjoyed our time here.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday, late afternoon, just before the dinner rush. First time here so I was eager to try lots of different things from the menu. They also have daily specials!! Starting off with the Onion Rings! OK 10/10. Highly recommend. Don't skip it! It's perfectly fried, beer battered deliciousness. For my main entree, I ordered from the daily specials - Chicken Poblano Pasta. Love the sauce, it's got a mild kick to it. Savory dish. I had a few bites of the pork belly mac n cheese. In my opinion, the mac n cheese was a little bland. We also ordered from the Butcher Platter (mix and match pork cuts and sausages) We had the pork belly, pork ribs and Green Chorizo. For $18, this was a great deal! The BBQ sauce they use is in the sweeter side. Fall off the bone ribs! I was hoping they would have beef brisket as an option instead of all pork. Service was a little slow considering the place was not too busy. It was hard to find the server and when she did come by it would take her awhile to bring us back the stuff we asked for. Ironically, we didn't get to try any of the craft beers. But they have Happy Hour M-F. The more reason to come back and have some beer tasting next time

Yelp
We had a nice attentive waitress and a OK pretzel for our appetizer. I must say the food came out at remarkable speed - within moments in fact, faster, even then McDonald's The beer was good. Don't remember what it was called, but it was good. French fries were OK. The burger was medium rare as requested however, I must say it was milquetoast at best. In fact, I would say the blandest burger of my entire life. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm actually having the bread pudding dessert right now. I should've known better. It's truly awful.

Yelp
Great Basin is a Reno standard. I've been to both locations (Virginia, Victorian) and the food/beer quality and service is similar. The menu, atmosphere and service is casual like a brewpub should be. Try the Heat of the Moment-it's a pineapple habanero hazy and it's tasty.
google avatar

Michele H.

Yelp
We had the potato skins, fried jalapeños, mac n cheese, and chicken wings. The potato skins were pretty good 8/10. Jalapeños are too breaded and the grease was a bit much and the dipping sauce was way too sweet 4/10. Mac n cheese was decent as long as you got some of the topping with it 7/10. The chicken wings, we had the sweet chili and those were more sweet than spice. Would've loved more spice to them. Meat was good quality but flavor lacked 5/10. Service was okay, dropped food and never came back. And they were out of quite a few beers.

Alicia J.

Yelp
Really good beer selections (lots of variety) and had the Reuben pizza service at both locations I went to was very good! Good place to watch March madness games!!

Yelp
Great food and beer, I really enjoy this location due to the selection of the menu. I like that they use local meat from park ranch and that they have a bigger selection of actual dinner entrees. We will definitely be back to this location.

Yelp
I think I gave this place a try before and it appears it's slid further down the abyss. I ordered their large shepherds pie. lol I have a piece of bread in the entree, that was their large portion. I never order the child's serving and this was an embarrassment even if it were a child's portion. By definition a shepherd's pie is supposed to have piped or topped with mashed potatoes and heated in the oven. Their version has melted cheese on top, not the traditional and proper way to make a shepherd's pie. On top of the dinky portion which is considered a large portion it was real salty probably due to the cheese on top. I really wanted to like this place but in conclusion that's not gonna happen.

Yelp
Great Basin is quickly becoming a go to for me and my family. The Reno Local Food Group has done a fantastic update to the menu with delicious dishes for everyone from the finicky foodie to the picky kids and the service is just as sweet and personable as ever. If you've been in Northern NV for a minute then you undoubtedly know Great Basin and have been to the Reno or OG Sparks location sometime in your life. For me, these pubs became some of my first regular hangs, especially Tightwad Tuesdays. After a few beers we'd get hungry and I remember liking some of the food but overall wishing it was just a bit better. Well today, it is and ai am here for it! I've visited the Reno pub more times in the last two months than I have in as many years and the visits have been delicious. Happy hour here is stellar, with epic food specials including a $10 pick 2 butcher platter, discounted kung pao Brussels, smoked chicken wings and more. The smoked wings are five star fantastic. Smoked, dry rubbed and then flash fried, these just may be the best wings in Reno. The pick 2 butcher platter is a massive meal and super deal. I picked the pork belly and the red rooster sausage (sesame, sriracha and ginger) and loved both. The portion is a whole link and two thick cut pieces of meaty pork belly, which is so great for $10! Kung Pao Brussels have been ordered every visit. Charred, quickly fried, and tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce with roasted peanuts. Damn! Get them! You'll feel good about eating veggies! Kids meals are good food too. Hand breaded chicken nuggets, spaghetti and meatballs and awesome Mac n cheese. My kids have loved it all. Go to Great Basin!

Yelp
Very good very good! we ordered Cowboy burger. Server was very nice and good took care of us. Absolutely five star.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to go to a restaurant that's not in California so we picked this one. We were seated promptly and I requested a booth and we got one. Our our server was Travis and he let me try a couple of different beers which I really appreciated. So I had a fire lit haze. My husband had the buffalo chicken cob and he said it was pretty good and I had the chipotle chicken pasta. I asked for no peppers, but the server didn't tell me it was all mixed in with the sauce, it was way too spicy for me so I only ate mainly the chicken, very disappointed. He never came back and asked us if we liked our meal and I wanted some water and he said he'd be right back and I never got it. So disappointed the place was packed so I guess a lot of people love it.

Yelp
Stopped here while in Reno for a Saturday eve family dinner (7pm), place was busy but we were seated quickly. Employees were friendly and server was attentive. We enjoyed the onion ring appetizer along with fish tacos, chicken sandwich, and the burger. As a side we all chose the garlic fries which were delicious. Menu has a lot of options so there is something for everyone. The restaurant has booths and tables inside and tables outside with heaters. The restaurant is a little dark but otherwise clean and family friendly. Prices were really affordable. 5 adults with drinks, entrees and appetizers was about $135.00 before tip.

Yelp
Busy for a Friday night before Tim McGraw concert but able to sit outside. We got to go cups so we could enjoy our beers listening to the concert outside the venue. I like a light beer so chose one after a recommendation by our waiter. It was very light with a touch of orange flavor but not sweet. Blood orange blonde ale, I'd order again!
google avatar

Anna O.

Yelp
Family friendly brewery, has plenty of sitting inside and outside. We walked in for a few beers and an appetizers, sat in the bar, the two employees working today were super friendly attentive their service was excellent. We had the appetizer of fried Zucchini they were delicious paired with one leave no trace beer.

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner and we're not disappointed! They had a very extensive menu with plenty of options, and the waitress was very accommodating for my unnecessarily ridiculous dietary issues. My husband got a beer and a bacon cheeseburger with an onion ring on top and he said it was the best meal that he's had on this trip. I got a side of a sweet potato waffle fries with a salad and chicken. The sweet potato fries were technically a starter, but the size felt more like a personal side. Perfect for me, but I wouldn't recommend getting them to share. The waitress was friendly and personable. Service was quick and the bar theming was fun. It wasn't too loud or dark, we could talk easily even when sitting next to the bar. We will definitely be coming back the next time we're in Reno!

Yelp
It has been a few years since I've been to this location, but I was excited about having dinner here again. We sat down and were soon greeted by our waitress. I ordered the Tectonic Event, brisket sandwich, and fries. The beer was excellent and flavorful. Unfortunately, the brisket wasn't as good as I hoped. The sandwich was a special and might have been on its last leg for the menu. The bread-to-meat ratio leaned heavily on the bread side, so I could only eat half of the bread. The fries were cooked well and the way I like them. This is why I hesitate to order a "special" menu item. My husband had the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which got two thumbs up. Overall, I would go back again but order something different. The staff is always pleasant and around anytime you need something.
google avatar

Thomas P.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best IPA on the market and I've had many IPA's. Hydraulic Sandwich @ Mare Island is in the running as well then there is Blind Pig @ Russian River.... lol. So many great IPAs so little time.... Great Basin in Reno is a must, even if it's simply for their great food and customer service.

Yelp
We decided to try Great Basin On a Friday evening since we had a gift card we had received a while back. When we arrived around 4:30 PM there was plenty of seating but it quickly filled within 15 minutes after we had arrived. The staff was very nice and accommodating, although service was a bit slow which I'm guessing was due to the packed restaurant. It was also very loud once it filled up. One neat thing to note is that they have art on the ceiling which I thought was pretty cool. The menu has a large selection of items but not very many plant-based/vegetarian options. I opted for a cocktail (Snowbird?) and a veggie burger. My husband ordered the Chupacabra pizza. The veggie burger was very plain and tasted like what you would get from the frozen aisle at the grocery store. Nothing really unique or spectacular. The cocktail on the other hand was so good!!! I forgot the name of it... Snow.. something. Delicious. It has a coconut salt rim and balanced sweetness. The pizza was average as well. I tried some bites without the chicken. It was very rich but super oily. Overall, it was okay. We probably won't visit unless we are invited to go here by friends or have another gift card.
google avatar

Yelp
A Reno staple never disappoints. As busy as this place is, they are always accommodating. My personal favorite beer is the Chili Beso. The bar, restaurant and fireplace gives you a very homey feel. And we always seem to run into friends here!
google avatar

Cyndi Y.

Yelp
Ordered pizza and zucchini to take out. Pizza is the best in town however second time I ordered the zucchini and they both were a bit soggy for my taste. Overall I really like this place whether dining in or out! Their light beer is fantastic !
google avatar

Cole N.

Yelp
Great staff and a fun night. We had a corporate party there and would do it again in a heartbeat! Love their swag as well. Some of favorite shirts.
google avatar

Chandler K.

Yelp
Excellent food options! We had burgers and a few shareables that were so tasty! We also had a mocktail from the menu, and they had a phenomenal selection to choose from! Would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in south Reno. Service was fast and attentive, and the classic bar ambiance was exactly what we were looking for.
google avatar

Yelp
It's been awhile since I reviewed this restaurant and I'm happy to say it's still one of my favorite Reno restaurants with great service, great food and great beer! We love their beer cheese and this time my husband had the beer cheese soup and I had the beer cheese sauce with my delicious pretzel. We also had wings and an order of fries. Perfect pub food to accompany their amazing beers! I am a big fan of bitchin berry and sun smackd but had the fire lit haze this time and loved it! Love this restaurant!

Yelp
we really enjoyed our visit to great basin brewing co in reno! we ordered a bunch of apps and they all didn't miss. the boneless wings came in various flavors but we got the mango habanero flavor.. 10/10! the willy dillys were absolutely incredible, especially for those pickle lovers! the wisconsin beer cheese soup is what i would go out of my way for to have anytime i'm in reno. *insert drool emoji*. this is absolute gas, i couldn't believe how delicious it was. the sausage and green onions with the cheese are a marination of flavors that everyone MUST try. service was attentive and quick, the decor was so fun to look at and check out. TONS of parking. plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. will absolutely be back every time i'm in the reno area!
