An employee noticed me doing sensory work with my excited kiddos as we were entering. She then told us about and guided us to the sensory room. As a family that has special needs, this kind of accessibility can make or break a successful outing for us.

What a fun and interesting place right in our backyard! Great place for kids to learn hands on and a fun time for adults to realize all the things we forgot about! The movies are amazing and well worth a Thursday night out in downtown Cleveland!

We visited on a Thursday morning in mid-April 2025. We parked in the parking garage and planned to stay most of the day and also do the rock and roll hall of fame next door. There was construction going on outside so walking from one to the other wasn't so easy. There is a cool corridor that goes from the parking garage to the science center itself so you don't have to go outside. We pre-purchased our tickets online and bought it along with the dome theater show. They let us change the timing at check-in to an earlier time. There were very few people there when we arrived. There was 2 groups in line in front of us but it moved very quick. The kids were able to run around and do basically whatever they wanted for almost an hour before all the school groups arrived. It was spring break for us but the local schools were still in session. It got crowded really fast. We tried to hide in the more obscure areas. The kids really liked the music area on the top floor. Also my youngest really liked building with the wooden sets on the main floor. When all the school groups left he had it all to himself and spent almost 30 mins building his own crane that was taller than him. Staff member stopped by and said that's the largest structure he'd ever seen someone build out of those parts. We ate lunch and watched the dome video closer to noon when all the school groups were running around. Many of the school groups went to lunch and that's when we went back out. We spent more than 4 hrs in the science center. I think the kids were finally started to get bored near the end and it was time for us to walk over to the rock and roll hall of fame. The parking garage was open late as well and aligned with the late opening of the rock and roll hall of fame. There is a quiet sensory spare up on the 3rd floor as well near the bathrooms. It was cool that they had such an area as it got really loud when all the school groups were there. The museum store was large but had your typical science museum merch. I had a hard time finding anything that specifically had the museum logo or name on it. Every staff person we interacted with the whole day from the ticket desk, to the different science kiosks to the museum store were all happy to help and very pleasant to talk to. Customer service here was just top notch. Not sure if we would come back after spending over 4 hrs in there. But definitely worth the 1 visit.

There is so much to see here! Lots of hands on activities for kids of all ages but also a great time for adults. My favorite was the space exhibit which has a real Apollo command module on loan from the Smithsonian!

Google
Pros: -Lots and lots of hands on things to do -name your own color swatch -fun wood block building area -cool water and air vortex devices -music area (some not working) -steamship history (downstairs)(plus actual steamship outside) -ATSC reciprocal admission for up to 4 -Parking garage is $9 w/ validation (an outside lot is $6) -Close proximity to USS Cod and International Women’s Air & Space Museum (not o clouded nor part of ATSC) -STEAMSHIP WILLIAM G. MATHER self guided (or 12:30 1hr guided) tour available—I highly recommend it if you’re interested in ships or in the jobs & machines of historical industry Cons: -summer weekdays could likely have lots of elementary age summer camp kids groups inundating the center. (Maybe try coming late on Thursdays, if they keep longer hours till 8pm on Thur.) -maybe ~10% of the displays were broken or only partially working -special 2hr Hard Hat tour of the steamship (for its 100th anniversary year in 2025) is only available limited times*, is $45 per person ($35 for members), and should be booked 2 days in advance online only. (*Eg 9am Saturday or Sunday start in the summer) -expensive and limited cafeteria

Google
If you have never visited here, you will find much to see and do. For an extra small fee you can tour the Mathers ship. They also have a nice cafeteria with views of Lake Erie where you can sit in or dine outside.

Google
Good place to bring kids to keep them busy for a few hours. Noticed a few things throughout the exhibits that need some repair. Overall a good experience and worth a visit for families.

Google
It was reserved for a wedding and reception - such a great idea! Was able to explore in between the ceremony and the dinner!

Yelp
The top floor for young kids was amazing I wish we skipped the first level and just spent time in there. The astronaut stuff was cool but my kid being 3 was much happier with the interactive exhibits.

Yelp
Amazing experience! We were here for Small Business Saturday! It was well organized. There were food trucks, vendors, live music and mobile barbers. It was amazing to see so many minority owned businesses and smiling faces. Most of the exhibits were open as well so it really was a family friendly event. Parking was free as well. The staff was so kind and helpful and welcoming.

Yelp
Today we visited the Great Lakes Science Center and although we had a blast there were quite a few things broken and honestly seemed like it hasn't been wiped down in a while. Granted we love visiting the science center and will be coming back. FYI the dogs movie in IMax was sooooo awesome! We would definitely watch again!

Yelp
I finally visited the Great Lakes Science Center on Sunday, 7 April 2024 even though I have driven past it for years since 2017. I happened to be downtown for the Total Solar Eclipse festival when admission to the science center was FREE on that Sunday so I had to venture inside. I suppose I never tried to visit the science center in the past because I thought it was mostly a children's center but I digress. TICKETS -- $19.95 per adult and $14.95 for kids ages 2-12. LOTS TO SEE -- I really enjoyed NASA Glenn Visitor's Center where there are plenty of displays about space, astronauts, and rockets. It's a great center to learn about history and other NASA projects. I suggest bringing children here because their visit will be educational. Infact, I saw many kids while I browsed the different sections. I stayed on the main floor to browse but there is a downstairs level (bathrooms and a food stall) and an upstairs level that I never browsed. I came several points during the weekend festival (just on Sunday and Monday actually) to use the bathroom downstairs in the basement or lower level. The main floor has the NASA Glenn visitor's center and the Dome Theatre. The following day, on Monday, 8 April, as part of the downtown Total Solar Eclipse event, I got to watch a free screening of the documentary "Small Town Universe" in the dome theatre which was a neat experience because the theatre is round and shaped as a dome inside. I loved my experience in the science center and next time, I'd love to bring anyone i know who is visiting Cleveland. Yelp
Tapescape review We have visited the science center many times and this time our focus was on the new temporary exhibit. The area is modeled after the international space station. Using scaffolding they have created a play area for kids that is wrapped in packing tape with lighted tunnels and slides. It was a huge it with the kids and we spent over an hour alone in the section.

Yelp
This place has GREAT exhibits. Lots of fun for not only kids but parents too. The steam ship was really interesting. If you are into history def check out the steam boat. The lake views are amazing. If you have littles with you they have a play place up stairs. They have ball pits and more fun and exciting things for the littles. If u want to try the Hands on exhibits it's right beside the play place. And the best part is if you buy the membership u have access to other museums like Cosi, McKinley museum and many more!! Overall I give the experience a 5 out of 5.!

Yelp
Was a fun place to visit after the rock and roll hall of fame. Many learning experiences and fun experiments!!!

Yelp
Great for kids and adults! We had a lot of fun. Parked in garage and walked right in. However there were a lot of displays that were broken and they need to replace the beat up headphones. Need some sanitizer stations too or be sure to carry wipes with you.

Yelp
My 6 y/o nephew had fun, but .... he's 6 years old. This museum's space wing is quite good. So, too, is the hands-on drum-set exhibit, which my nephew loved. Those exhibits save this review. But apart from that, the museum has far less to offer than one would expect for an institution serving a city this size. Further, as several other yelpers have pointed out, a good 1/4 of the exhibits don't work, and many of those don't even have out-of-order signs on them. And some exhibits (baseball radar gun) are more suited for Cedar Point, while others (traffic signal) don't seem to have a lot to do with science. Finally, and as others have also observed, there aren't any hand-sanitizer stations to be found save for in the bathroom. Can't comment on the cafeteria or gift shop, since we didn't visit either. Overall, unless you're going specifically for the space wing (which, again, is quite good), this museum isn't worth the drive .... from the Flats, never mind from farther away. Its counterpart here in Toledo (Imagination Station) is cleaner, is better run, and has more exhibits (which have the added advantage of not being broken), esp. for a city its size. And in particular, it has several exhibits that kids love that are lacking in Cleveland: the gravity-defying, weighted-down bike on the highwire; the dizzying mini house whose mirror effects make you feel like you're on an incline when you aren't; the exhibit where you take off in, fly, and land a plane in a simulated cockpit; and the kid-version TV-news set. My niece and nephews could have spent the entire day at just those four exhibits.

Yelp
Starting off, me and my partner are both on the spectrum. We had an amazing date here. It was a surprise for him, and we had an absolute blast. The top floor was probably the most fun. I quite enjoyed the giant Spirograph thing (it was called something different, but it was very fun and I got to take the drawing home). We spent lots of time in the shadow room, it was very active to jump around and try to catch funny shadows. I know lots of other reviews loved the space exhibit but for us, it wasn't the star of the show and we spent little time there. We stayed from noon until 5pm when they closed on Sunday. We ate at spark kitchen, which is on the lower floor, I have a dairy allergy and got the terrestrial turkey wrap, no bad reaction to it, it was great, s/o got a quantum quesadilla w/ chicken. Honestly, for themed food, it was amazing. Quite delicious, it's pricey, but to be expected and not outrageous. We also packed a banana for each of us and that worked out well to finish off our meal. Staff in spark kitchen was extremely kind and service was great! On the side of sensory accessibility, I rode the train in the temporary exhibit which was exhilarating and very fun, though the horn was loud. They do offer special days where they keep general sound quieter and don't use the louder exhibits in order to accommodate, so this is a great option for anyone particularly sensitive. They also have a sensory room, which we both checked out while it was empty and I definitely give it a thumbs up overall, it's further away down a hall where family bathrooms are. I also felt great using the family bathroom, as I noticed that the toilets were not automatic flushing, but had a lever (this is great as the sound of the automatic toilet flushing can be loud and unpredictable), there also was a air dryer for hands, as well as paper towels, giving choice, (I find that the sudden loud noise of air hand dryers can also be bothersome). There also were accessible, free menstrual product dispensers inside the restroom too. I will also note changing tables, and the fact that there was a toilet seat lid. My only critique is that being that there are lots of kids and lots of exhibits that require touching handles and dials and whatnot, it would have been greatly appreciated if they had hand sanitizer dispensers. We had to go to the bathroom to wash hands or get hand sanitizer on the top floor. They *should* have hand sanitizer dispensers within eyeshot wherever you stand in the exhibits. Sanitizing wipes would be a nice touch as well, but for others I would simply note it would be a good idea to bring them themselves, I see lots of others echoing the same sentiment when it comes to cleanliness. I was going to bring some, but forgot that morning. A good amount of stations/exhibits were broken or not working as well, which is disappointing as some of them seemed not too hard of a fix and being that it's a science center, should have exhibits well-maintained. This didn't take away too much from the enjoyment of the whole day, the only one I was particularly bummed about was the drum set, as my s/o really would have loved to jam on it properly. Due to these issues, I did take off a star, and would have taken off and given 3 stars, but the overall experience was great and I can say it's the best date we've ever had. I wish we had gotten to spend more time in there, and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Super fun and glad we have this opportunity in our city! Definitely gets the attention from the families in the city with lots of activities and dome theatre as well as if you are a member you can visit the ship too. Parking is available with a price; it is downtown Cleveland where there are other museums and just to take a nice stroll near by the Lake Erie.

Yelp
Awesome science center in downtown Cleveland right next to the Cleveland Browns stadium and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Just avoid going during Browns home games. The center is great for kids to e plots and learn about science. They have 2 main floors of exhibits as well as an IMAX dome theater. Make sure to get tickets for one of the IMAX movies as well. They also have a beautiful walkway just outside the cafeteria along the lakefront which connects to Voinovich park. It's definitely worth walking there if the weather is good. A great place to visit for families! Make sure to ask for the parking discount/validation when buying your tickets.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience for all ages! Spacious and welcoming place, filled with informative and fun exhibits. Plan on allowing plenty of time -- There's so much to see and do! Exhibits are nicely maintained clean and fully functional. There are many things that cannot be found anyplace else including items on lone from NASA that have been used in space missions, informative sections on sound, color, electricity, and weather, as well as exhibits designed by in-house staff. Be sure to read signs and instructions so that everything works correctly for you! Everyone there seemed to be having a great time. Our family will be back again soon!

Yelp
Amazing place and a must see if In Cleveland! They have a nice setup with very educational and informative displays. Parking and location is perfect to really see the city!

Yelp
An amazing place to visit for all ages. The Cleveland Clinic Theatre is on of my favorite things to do while there. Worth every penny!

Yelp
You don't have to be a kid to have fun here. I loved it as a kid, took my nephew and he loved it too. I go with friends just for fun.
google avatar

Yelp
It's small but they have a lot of interaction stuff plus a theater inside. It's 2 floors and a small gift shop which is pricey it was $1.99 for 1 postcard. They have demonstrations going on which were fascinating to watch, then we went to see a movie there about the arctic which was interesting.

Yelp
I have been going here for a number of years since they opened. This last visit was a bit disappointing. There were many broken exhibits I mention it to staff that was around and they said they are working on things but it was a significant amount of items not working. I counted exactly how many were broken, 27 exhibits didn't work. It was upsetting to pay money and a lot of things were not working. The issue I have with what was told by staff was they are working on it or didn't know but it is clear things are just missing or things jammed, or poorly designed. I took my niece there for her first time she is 10 and it was disappointing even her that she couldn't use things. While I counted 27 that were down or broken. I would say another 20+ not working correctly or part was not working. It was sad to see it this way. I mentioned it to many staffers, however, only one actually tried to fix one of the exhibits. The rest didn't seem to care. Very dissatisfied with the visit.

Yelp
Kid #1 speed review. Five stars museum, three stars steamship. Top floor over bottom floor. William Mather Steamship was meh, not "boring boring" but a "a bit boring." Was disappointed that the guitars were missing some strings. Wants to go back to see if he can get his pitching above a top speed of 42 mph. kid #2 speed review. Four stars generally. Upstairs better than downstairs. Not jazzed by Nasa stuff. The shuttle was land-able but the moon rover impossible to get down to the surface without blowing up. How did the astronauts survive touchdown? Dad review: Three stars. Like any kid-oriented science centre, a good third of the attractions don't work and the kids make their way through the ones that do work like locusts in a corn field. Wouldn't count on spending more than two hours here, absolutely max, and the steamship would be so much cooler if we could see where the ore was stored.

Yelp
Visited here because we had tickets for the Beautifica evening show in the Done Theater. Very positive experience! Great staff; friendly and helpful. Loved the popcorn from the concession area. The seats in the theater were comfortable. Great theater for a show like Beautifica as it was very visually appealing and had an awesome musical score. It's easy to park here at the Science Center. They have a garage which was helpful and an easy walk into the museum.
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
I love the Omni theater here. I never go here without seeing a movie. The science museum part is OK. The outside of the building is nice with great walking and views. Expect to pay a decent price for parking. There's a parking garage attached.

Yelp
This is a fun place for all ages, they have a bunch of interactive activities. Many of which are designed to educate and my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we meandered through the exhibits and tinkered with the displays. My phone died halfway through our time here, so I didn't get a picture of my favorite display, the vortex, but I did get a few pics while we were playing in the science of Rock and roll area, which had many interactive musical and instrumental displays. The gift shop is well organized and has a good variety of products. My friends each got a shirt. I opted for a souvenir penny, as that is one of my go to souvenir items when traveling or going somewhere new to me. Great activity for a rainy day, or as an excuse to get out of the sun for a few on a hot day!
google avatar

Connie N.

Yelp
Will update upon leaving, right now I'm curious with services and amenities such as food and drink /soda machines. Can't even get a water to cool down in the hot building while at the science center. Feet very frustrated. Especially when there is no convenience stores and or markets within a 5 mile radius ++++ I absolutely do not recommend due to mostly the VERY poor customer service.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
An average science museum. Some cool space related stuff. The rest of the museum is pretty scattered and a lot of the hands on stuff is in disrepair. Not a ton of content overall. Kids can have fun for an hour or two. Not a destination but an acceptable kid option if in area.
google avatar

Brittany K.

Yelp
We came with 6 kids 7 and under and had a great time. Plenty of things to do for ages and we loved the space area. The people that work in there obviously love what they do and were very involved with the kids and answering questions which my kids had a lot. I wish the toddler area was upkept a little better but other then that we will definitely be back!
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
Well It's not quite what we were expecting I would say that anyone over 12 ish is a little too old for this location. The theater was cool and they had some cool movies but the rest of the center is more focused on littler kids. The exception was the Glenn space exhibit Awesome addition. Very cool reentry capsule etc The cafe/ cafeteria closes at 2:30. If you have smaller kids you will not be disappointed
google avatar

Ben T.

Yelp
Well worth the stop. There's a lot to see. It is mostly naval. Not much nature type stuff, so have appropriate expectations.

Yelp
I visited this science center about ten years ago on a weekend getaway to Cleveland Ohio. Very cool and large science center that was very interactive and full of cool things. Had fun for all different ages and my little ones at the time had a good time. I'll have to make a trip back one of these days.

Yelp
The primary purpose of our recent visit to Cleveland was to check out the Vroom! A Car Adventure exhibit (open through Labor Day 2019) at the Great Lakes Science Center. So you could say we had high expectations. From playing mechanic to racing the cars down the various ramps and loop-the-loops, plus building your own cars to test various challenges out on the tracks, it was quite the hit. We did eventually made it up to the other floors (there are three). There is a nice NASA visitor center, a Cleveland Creates area, and up on the third floor is a lot of hands-on stuff, plus the Polymer Play area for under sevens, which includes a great outdoor "Port Polymer" area with a lot of water play opportunities. The Polymer Play area features a neat ball pit where you can crank and dump the balls from a holding bin above, as well as let them float in air funnels, a play structure, a train table, and other neat things to explore. There is a restaurant on the lower level, which offers a variety of salads, sandwiches, pizza, and the like - we enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. Bathrooms were clean and available on all floors - nice touch to have an extra one directly in the under seven area. Unfortunately, they pulled out paper towels and put in hand dryers in the bathrooms, which is a pet peeve of mine in children-heavy locations, particularly with the recent research that hand dryers are too loud for children's ears. There's a cute shop available near the ticket area, featuring a variety of goodies that coordinate with the exhibits. There's an attached parking garage (which they will validate discounted parking), and you can also use the Waterfront line on the rail transport to access it during the weekends. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
It was nice to go to the museum but it lacked science substance. Everyone there was very friendly and were very helpful. It's more of a younger science idea and games. The place was crowded with day care and youth clubs which is nice for them but not other visitors. It took less than 45 minutes to go through the museum. Not going back but would be nice if you had younger scientists.

Yelp
Great place for students and teachers alike one of the best extraordinary experiences of my life they have all sorts of fun activities to do like the dome theater, looking at wildlife thriving in the wild and a planetarium to see the vast galaxy. Yes indeed this is one of the best places to be during field trips, vacation sites. Come on down and have the time of your lives

Yelp
If you love science you will love this science center! Located in downtown Cleveland. Everything is hands on! You learn how science works and visually see results. This place is great for kids and family! While here we even witnessed a few weddings! Located near Lake Erie. Tickets are affordable, staff is friendly, location is prime, fun learning experience! | Admission tickets| $16.95 per adult $13.95 per youth (2-12) $14.95 per senior (65+) $15.95 per college student (w/id) This definitely is a go to when visiting Cleveland!
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I love how many hands on things they have for exploring! As a adult I really liked the John Glen exhibit and I have to admit, a lot of the interactive stuff too! This place is huge! Very clean and even when busy it seems to be big enough. A great gift shop is the added bonus

Yelp
I haven't been to the Science Center in years and took the opportunity to take my toddler son today. We were unable to pre-order our tickets online since we do not have a login but are members, but we were able to secure our entry for the exhibits at the booth. My son loved the first floor space exploration exhibits even after taking a nice fall in the lobby. We liked learning how astronauts "eat eat eat," sleep, and use the bathroom in space. Upstairs we explored the many experiments and displays. The wooden marble loop tracks, magnetic train, and build your own cars were apparently the most fun in this area. Since my son is a toddler we went and explored the Polymer Playground and had lots of fun on the balcony with the water tables and play ship. Inside we had fun playing with the clock, working on the car, and climbing the playground. With a young easily distracted child, we spent about an hour here, but probably could have spent more time if we weren't so close to lunch and nap time. The Science Center also offers seasonal exhibits, and movie showings in the dome theatre. There are also snacks and food downstairs with plenty of seating.

Yelp
Such a scaretastic experience. If you are ready to get spooked yk where to go!! Had such a great time.

Yelp
Our plans canceled for the day while visiting from out of state. We took the opportunity to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (meh.) but noticed the Science Center while parking. I'm so glad we did! My 12 year old and I had a blast walking through the science center. We loved the NASA exhibits and all the hands-on activities. We both did nearly every one. The rest of the center was great as well. Some of the exhibits seemed to be designed for a younger age group but they were all fun and we learned a ton!! We're in Canton for the week and are planning another trip with teammates!

Yelp
I took my nieces, ages 7 and 10, to the GLSC as a way to pass a frigid, snowy afternoon. I was happy to have an indoor activity that we could enjoy together - and I really appreciated the Teacher Discount on admission. The special show, "Fire and Ice" was charming and the interactive stations in the Maker Space were definitely the biggest hit with the girls (even if the supplies were running woefully low)! They also enjoyed the interactive activities on the upper floor. Some of the headier, more overtly educational exhibits did go over their heads and their engagement with them was very brief. After about 1-1/2 hours they were pretty well done exploring. Though I enjoyed my time at the museum, I found the layout rather counterintuitive; the bulk of the activity stations are, as I mentioned, on the upper floor/out of sight from the main entryway, and one's progression through the space is rather stilted. It's a pleasant way to pass an afternoon with kids, but one visit might be enough to last me a while!

Yelp
The science center is very well done. But I find it both arrogant and frustrating that food is only for sale if you have a card. A pocket full of cash means you go about your day hungry.
google avatar

Sabrina J.

Yelp
The spark kitchen was horrible. Overpriced of course and the customer service was bad. I would at least assume the would hire more polite people considering it having a lot of families coming in, but you get what you get.

Yelp
As a photographer, it's always a pleasure to work at Great Lakes Science Center! They have a beautiful space for events and do a great job of planning and coordinating each detail. Image by Jennifer Elizabeth Photography

Yelp
My family spent the entire day here. So many things to see and do here. Great hands on leading for children. Something for everyone no matter your age. Easy and convenient parking attaches to the building, huge plus in Cleveland. They also have a small food court area. Many options to choose from, clean and a good selection. They have a call area for very young children to play and run around that is separate. Another huge bonus for families. Staff was always available or close to answer questions or assist the children with a science experiments. Worth the trip to visit.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Out of town visitor and so glad we stopped in. We planned for a short visit but enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed for hours. This is a perfect place to bring the littles. So many interactive things to do! Cute toddler area on the top floor and outside water area. We really loved the top floor with tons of things to see, hear and touch. They have Extra paid activities - Steamship tour but we were running out of time. The gift shop had a lot of fun things, the kids astronaut helmets were cute and we got some astronaut ice cream which was interesting and not that bad! Next time we are in town this will be one of our first stops!

Yelp
This was an interesting museum! Definitely tailored more to children and less to adults but it was still fun!

Yelp
The Great Lakes Science Center is a really cool science education facility! Everyone should bring their kids here! Lots of excellent science exhibits - including a lot of hands on, practical examples of how science works, We need more places like this to inspire the next generation to focus on science! They also have a nice gift shop with lots of fun science related gifts.

Yelp
Love this place! They have so many interesting exhibits and learning spaces. The IMAX theater also has some good movies running. Your ticket could be made to include the visit to the William S. Mather Steamship. The biggest upside is that unlike the Children Museum which doesn't have much to cater to the pre-teen/ teen age group, the Science center has something for every age group. There is a separate zone for the smaller kids. The current car exhibit that is running is also a space they will enjoy. For the older kids there is a lot of fun exhibits which teach a lot of science topics in an engaging manner. As an adult I thoroughly enjoyed the NASA exhibits, I never realized that so many of our astronauts came from Ohio !!! My husband and nephew thoroughly enjoyed the Steamship tour and would have probably spent more time there given the chance. While most of us enjoyed the IMAX show, my mum who has migraines found it very uncomfortable and she has seen IMAX shows in the past with no issues. They also have a fun event every year at the weekend of the air show, the whole family enjoyed it. Membership: we are a large family and for us it was cheaper to get the membership for our visit than to pay for the individual tickets. The membership covered everyone's tickets to the museum, unlimited imax shoes, 4 parking tickets and entry to the Steamship. And it is a tax deductible deduction as well ! Woot ! Woot !

Yelp
I love the science center! It is such a great way to spend a day. They are always doing cool events and rotating the exhibits. Every time I come here with my crazy kiddos, they beg to stay. There is enough to do for any age that you can keep them engaged for hours. Not an easy task. As the kids age, there are also more intense science based activities and the cool movies too. Something for everyone and priced to keep you coming back. Good job Cleveland!

Yelp
We love the science center! It is a great spot to come on a rainy day or a sunny day spent in down town. The location is right next to all sorts of fun including the Cleveland script sign. All of the exhibits include some type of hands on activity to get kids brains thinking and creative juices flowing. They do a great job of encompassing the different ways of learning be it visual, audio, or physical. Demonstrations are very fun. The scientists are dressed in colorful lab coats and engage and incorporate the audience. The gift shop and cafeteria are not forefront which is nice in the sense that it isn't the first thing kids see and then immediately want something. The featured exhibit is changed frequently and is always fun! The price is affordable for the amount of fun you can pack into a few hour visit. They offer different membership packages and discounts for seniors and military.

Yelp
It's the Great Lakes Science Center, whats not to love about it? I have to say though, my favorite thing about this place is trying to convince people that the giant windmill outside powers the science center and cleveland browns stadium. I always get someone with that one, and it brings joy to my heart every time. A true cleveland landmark, a definite recommend for the family!

Yelp
Three floors and a ship with pure interactive science. This place has has everything for every age. The price is well worth it because the exposure is priceless. The exhibits have everything from aerodynamics, building construction, astrophysics, astrobiology, computer science, micro technology, robotics, and so much more. All the exhibits are hands on learning with instructions and an explanation why. Great for kids not that interested in science and a thrill for those that can't get enough. they also have shows....with science experiments again interactive. The movie was awesome. The ship was nice....with some things to learn as well. This is an all day affair, stay long and enjoy. Best to bring your lunch...its cheaper lol. coolest field trip with kids or with family.
