Great Northern Distilling

Great service! I found it odd that they don't describe their whiskeys on the menu. Also missing an old fashioned on the menu, so weird. The Wisconsin Whiskey is really light and slightly sweet. Made for a good old fashioned.

It's refreshing to find a classy bar scene that allows for a change in zero proof drinks. I enjoy the atmosphere and good service.

I'd call this place a speakeasy, it's classy with high end drinks without the high end price. Very friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere.

One of my favorite places in the area to take visiting guests. Atmosphere is lovely, often just busy enough, but not too busy to have conversations. They offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and they have a modest offering of snacks as well. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they offer a small event space available for reservations.

Overall it was an absolutely amazing experience! Worth the trip and definitely worth a conversation with the mixologist I've been waiting for a few years for Great Northern distilling to open a location that I could actually visit. We tried many times at Plover and it just never worked out. This is their new location, and it definitely shows that they put the effort in making it an absolutely gorgeous place. There's even a room in back for rentals like wedding receptions. They have a small kitchen, so there's a few appetizers that can be gathered. The drinks are great, and their spirits are a wonderful standard spirit set. If you get a chance to chat with the mixologist they can enlighten you on a variety of drinks that they have available. Very much worth the trip!

The girls bartending are inexperienced and slow. There is no real customer service, just girls trying to get drinks out they they truly have no idea what they are serving. Not a smile. No hellos. No thank yous or talk at all. Very gen z stares and no social skills. The bar itself is nice but the drinks are priced like its Milwaukee. The first drink I had the bartender didnt know how to muddle the fruit, so she didnt. The next bartender did a better job at making the drink but still isnt worth $11. Go to wisota chophouse for a better experience and friendlier staff. I sat waiting for 20 minutes before I could get a drink. Ridiculous. As a business owner, this would never fly. Customer service is so important and if you dont have any, your business will go no where.

Cool new place with nice drinks and good food. My only suggestion would be to use one big ice cube instead of a glass full of ice. All that ice waters down the drink and is meant for cheap cocktails.

Really awesome atmosphere at this place! We had no idea it had opened up in Stevens Point, we stumbled across it on a whim. So we were quite happy to find what a beautiful venue it is, and how amazing the drinks are. We didn’t get any food, but what others around us ordered looked very good! Definitely making this a regular place we visit
