A historic monument about 4000 years old which everybody in the world.knows about and is widely described in the net. It is one of the main attraction of Egypt and one of the main reason for tourists visiting Egypt from all corners of the world. Was astonished to see this huge structure built by humans in those days by my eyes, live. No need for recommendation. This is the reason why people visited Egypt.

Not as big as expected. Only VIPs can come close. "Common" people have to be at a distance and use an entrance sensibly further away...only to get you to walk to overpriced souvenir stalls.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is another one of those must-see attractions when you are in Cairo! It is simply amazing seeing it and how the painstakingly carved this out of stone. It is a real unique structure and with it being so ancient it is very beautiful. And it is on a massive scale for a hand carved Monument!

An iconic sight to witness from afar and up close, especially when viewed at an angle backdropped by the pyramids. In all honesty, it’s somewhat smaller than anticipated but iconic nonetheless. You only need around 30 minutes to an hour to explore. Tip: Combine it with a pyramid tour for a seamless experience.

Fantastic, once in a life time trip to see the sphinx and pyramids! Have to be careful of people trying to rip you off,. I went with my dad and a guid but he left us to have a look round on our own for an hour or so and that's when these people try to sell you things or offer to take a picture and then demand money from you.. also a man came over to me wanting to hand me 'a gift' and basically threw it at me. I dropped it on the floor so my dad picked it up and shoved it back at the man saying no firmly and kept on walking, the man didn't look happy, then wondered off to find someone else to try and trick. They will try lots of different thing so be careful. Also we paid to go on the camels for a short trip to get a good view of all 3 pyramids and to have some amazing pictures taken. The man who took us out there did actually take brilliant pictures but then demanded a tip, I gave him 4 dollars and he told me this wasn't enough and he wanted a 5 dollar bill as he cant change 1 dollars? I took a 5 dollar bill out of my bag and asked for the 4 dollars back but he said no and took all the 9 dollars from me. Then he was asking if I was happy.. by this point I was quite intimidated/scared and in the desert with no choice but to go back with him. Then he said dont tell anybody about the tip as his boss wont be happy? But this did not ruin my day, as the pyramids and sphinx are a once in a life time fantastic site to see and feel. You can pay to go inside the pyramids, this was truly amazing although very hot and claustrophobic, some people turn back and dont get to see the tomb at the end. However me and my Dad kept going and it was definitely worth it. Just the tomb is in a smallish room, took afew photos and had to leave as the heat and no fresh air was getting abit much. Once again this was one of the best days of my life, since I was a little girl I was fascinated by the ancient Egyptians so it was worth every single penny. Also while in ciaro it's worth going to the museum to see tutankhamens death mask and tomb along with other fantastic things. You cannot take photos in afew of the rooms in the museum but this is to stop so many camera flashes and potential damage to the precious pieces. The river nile boat trip was good but not the best to be honest. Nice to be able to say iv done it but ciaro is very crowded and very poor, lots of beggars and the traffic is crazy, be careful crossing any roads. Cars almost crashing constantly and alls you can hear is car horns. I loved our trip but probably won't be coming back! Been there done that and onto the next adventure soon hopefully.

WoW. Must see it with your eyes. Unbelievable how the Egyptians made the pyramids. So beautiful, full of history. Picture perfect place. Don't mind locals trying to sell the stuff. They will try convince you, either ignore them or feel free to buy. Dress code. No issues. As long as your wearing clothes (LoL). Drink alot of water, does get really hot and sunny.

A Must-See Wonder of the World! Visiting the Pyramids of Giza is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The sheer scale and grandeur of these ancient structures left me absolutely awestruck. Standing before the Great Pyramid, I couldn’t help but marvel at the ingenuity and craftsmanship of a civilization thousands of years ago. The history here is palpable—every stone tells a story. Walking around the site, I was amazed at how well-preserved the pyramids are despite their incredible age. The proximity of the enigmatic Sphinx only adds to the magic of the place. Be sure to go inside the pyramid if you can; it’s a surreal feeling to step into such an ancient and sacred space. Our guide was knowledgeable and brought the history to life with fascinating details about the pharaohs, construction methods, and cultural significance of the site. Plus, the views of the surrounding desert are breathtaking—especially at sunset! I highly recommend taking a camel ride around the pyramids for an unforgettable perspective. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or just someone who appreciates beauty and mystery, the Pyramids of Giza are a destination that will stay with you forever. This is not just a site to see—it’s an experience that stirs your soul. Absolutely deserving of its status as a Wonder of the World! Five stars aren’t enough to do it justice.
