We had a truly memorable experience at Great Trails Riverview Resort. The location by the river is absolutely serene and makes for such a peaceful getaway. The property is beautifully maintained with lush greenery, neat walkways, and lovely views that immediately put you in a relaxed mood. The staff deserves a special mention. They were courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made our stay even more comfortable. The hospitality really stood out. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant—fresh, tasty, and with good variety. The local dishes were a delight, and the overall dining experience was excellent.

The GReaT Trails Riverview Resort Thanjavur by GRT hotels is a very nice place with a great view of the River. The room was big, service and location was amazing. We could hear peacock sounds every 20 seconds. The early morning peacock walk was extraordinary since we saw 7-8 peacocks in just half an hour. Overall I'll recomend this hotel and give it a 5 star review.

We recently stayed at the Great Trails River View Resort Thanjavur by GRT Hotels during our trip from Trivandrum, and it was truly the best stay we recently had all year in 2025. The staff's professionalism and hospitality were outstanding, and the overall cleanliness, food quality, and facilities were all top-notch. Our room was a perfect example of a five-star experience it was incredibly hygienic with high-quality toiletries provided.|The resort's location is a huge plus. It's nestled in a calm, quiet suburban area of Thanjavur, with a river flowing right beside it, which creates a natural and peaceful atmosphere. We loved the complimentary 'peacock walk' in the mornings and the free tea and snacks served in the common area each evening.|The resort itself is a visual treat, thanks to the unique design of its buildings and furniture. The property spans several acres, offering a great sense of space. Guests have access to complimentary games, including carroms, badminton, foosball, and table tennis. There's also a large, well-kept swimming pool with an instructor. We were also very happy with the strong Wi-Fi connectivity and the breakfast spread, which was more than enough and featured live cooking stations.|We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Thanjavur.

Excellent property. Expect acalm and peaceful stay. All the staff across the property are exceptionally polite and caring. The Chef Sundar doles out excellent pallete friendly cuisine, the head of security was super alert and responsive. We were pampered by all their staff members across the departments. Special mention to Stephen, Kathir and Santosh for making our stay feel like an extention of our home.

This is the best place to stay in Thanjavur if you want to experience the calmness of the surroundings, the excellent service of the team, and the true vibe of the city. It is highly recommended, especially for families traveling with kids. A special thanks to Mr. Parivelan, Mr.Sridhar, Mr.Sukumar, Mr.Rajesh V, Mr.Sundar and all others (I wanted to mention each and every staff in this list) for making our stay memorable.

This resort is a good spot near Thanjavur, while it has some outdated amenities, they are being maintained. The service is really good and the staff are kind and professional. The highlight of this resort is its location near the banks of the river, on the other bank you can find a lush greenery, which has many birds, the sight and sound is very blissful. Overall this is great spot for a family vacation.

Very good hotel. We had a very spacious room and bathroom and a balcony with river view where we could relax in the evening or morning breeze. Wonderful huge garden, well maintained, and big swimming pool. Very good restaurant and excellent SPA. All the staff in every section professional and helpful. They arranged us a car for visiting Thanjavur and for going to the airport at an honest price. We can highly recommend this hotel.

One of the highlights was the in-house tea—rich, aromatic, and absolutely worth staying in for. Huge kudos to Mr. John from the kitchen, who literally rushed out to let us know it was included in our package, saving us a trip into town. That kind of attentiveness is rare and deeply appreciated. The kitchen team was truly outstanding. Chef Sunder and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our kids were not only well-fed but also pampered with dishes tailored to their tastes. The attention they received made them feel so special, and it added a lovely personal touch to our stay. The lighting setup and riverside view were simply breath taking—perfect for winding down in the evenings. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of options and live counters serving fresh dosa's and omelettes just the way we liked them. And just when we thought the experience couldn’t get any better, the reception surprised us with a thoughtful final gift for the whole family. It was the perfect ending to a perfect stay. This hotel truly exceeded all expectations and stands out as the best stop on our summer road trip. We’ll cherish these memories for a long time!
