GRT is a great place to relax and also have good temple visits. Located a bit away from from the temple town on the banks of the Cauvery, this resort is the best option to get a very silent and serene experience. The front office, along with the manager Pari are very friendly and gave us a warm welcome and took care of all our needs. The Fob manager Rajesh and the head Chef Sundar understood our diet requirements and took very good care. Iyyappa at the restaurant was very pleasant and served us with a smile all the time.||The heritage rooms are spacious and well equipped. The resort has a beautiful walking trail within the property. ||Its a great place to spend quality time. If you plan to visit the temples, then its better you come here in your own vehicle or hire a taxi as the property is away from the town.

We had a truly memorable experience at Great Trails Riverview Resort. The location by the river is absolutely serene and makes for such a peaceful getaway. The property is beautifully maintained with lush greenery, neat walkways, and lovely views that immediately put you in a relaxed mood. The staff deserves a special mention. They were courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made our stay even more comfortable. The hospitality really stood out. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant—fresh, tasty, and with good variety. The local dishes were a delight, and the overall dining experience was excellent.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful property. Staff is helpful and friendly. Chef is ready to accommodate special requests in meals. Complimentary breakfast spread is filling and rich. Well organized cultural activities in the evenings, as we went there over a festive long weekend. Rooms are spacious and comfortable (on the last day, we spotted a lizard in one of the rooms we had booked). The rooms themselves are huge, and they have an additional dressing room and a huge bathroom. Pool is well maintained and clean. Room service is quick. It's also quite nice to walk outside the property and spot various birds, including peacocks. Keep in mind: Lunch and dinner are freshly prepared after you place the order. This means you need to order 45 minutes to an hour before you will actually be hungry, as that is the wait time to be served.

Wonderful Resort run by good people. Location of the property is beautiful, adjacent to a river. You wake up to the sounds of birds. If you're lucky you get to see some peacock's aswell. This place has calming effect away from all the hustle bustle yet very conveniently located to near by site seeing places. The staff deserves special mention.. they know what a great customer service looks and feels like, they are very attentive to customer needs and ask. We choose river facing room, very clean, spacious and thoughtfully created. Thankyou team Great Trails, Tanjavur. We would certainly consider coming back again.

Our stay at the GRT great trails riverview resort was nothing short of amazing. The staff was super welcoming and helpfull. Sugumar at reception gave us good tips on what to do and helped us with any questions. Because our train had to be resheduled to later in the evening he made the wait for us a lot more comfortable. Our driver Selvam showed us around and knew where to get all the good local food and artisanal products. Overal I definitly recommend a stay at this amazing location.

The site id good but the building are old and tired. The swimming pool is great and maintained. But the food is poorly organised and menus conditions is very shabby. Staff friendly but at dinner thete is No coordination of food and drinks ordered. Restaurants look scruffy most of the time I was their. Extremely disappointed as it excessive expensive compared to other hotels we have stayed at. It says it has A Gym, one treadmill and a set of weight..your having a laugh if this is luxury

This hotel feels like it might once have been beautiful; it has good bones. It feels pretty run down now. All the same, being able to swim a mile in the gorgeous and huge pool, appreciating the solid air conditioning + spacious rooms, and getting to enjoy the peacocks has me give it a 4. Bonus points also for the bathtub and for good ingredients at breakfast (i.e., pickled veggies, boiled chickpeas).
