We went for Christmas and the kids had an amazing time. It has been recently remodeled with ten pin bowling, laser tag, VR and top golf. There is an adventure pass that I would recommend. It is $150 but you get unlimited bowling and laser tag, 1 VR game for 6, 30 minutes at the top golf, and a few other discounts in merch and the MagiQuest game. With the cost per person per laser tag and bowling we definitely got our money's worth by getting the pass. Check in service was top notch. The topgolf service on the other hand left something to be desired. The young man was hassling us 10 minutes before our time was up and when I asked if we could use our full time he said yes then came back 8 minutes later telling us we had to leave. I was surprised being as there was no line and for the amount of money they already charge to even be in the venue, 10 minutes of topgolf just seems like small potatoes. Other than that it was great :)

We visited great wolf this past weekend before the kids return to school. We had a great time. We have been fortunate enough to vacation here several times over the past few years and this was the best time by far. During their renovations, things didn’t always go as planned and we seemed to experience “issues” every time we visited. We kept debating whether or not to return because it seemed to be going downhill every time we were there. Well, this time they really impressed us. The renovations seem to finally be completed. New carpets in the hallway. New flooring in the rooms. Great souvenirs in the Buckhorn. Parking was $19, but there were a lot of available spaces. We didn’t have to drive in circles looking for a spot like we have in the past. The kids activities were on time and the pack members in charge of them had great energy and responded great with the kids. Bingo even had prizes that the kids wanted to win (arcade cards). We usually drive off property to eat, but this time we ate at the lodge. Wait times were minimal. Food was great! If you have gone the last couple of years during renovations and experienced less than ideal conditions, I encourage you to give them another chance. We weren’t sure if we would ever return due to past issues, but was so glad we gave them another chance. We will go again if we find a good deal. If you go during “Snowlsnd”, be sure to be in the lobby when it “snows”. The kids enjoyed it so much. It snowed for about 30 minutes and all of the kids were laughing and having a great time by the tall Christmas tree and fireplace.

As usually this place is great for kids and family. always lots to do. The lady who helped us at customer service was amazing her name was blayine. Very nice and helpful and understanding. Lobby nicely renovated but rooms are old broken down can tell been around a minute. Leaky tub broken faucet dirt dengy. The water park little smaller then other great wolf lodge but still fun kids had blast as always. As always recommend for any family. Or water park enthusiasts..

I purchased the Flex Trip package, which clearly stated I could cancel up to 48 hours before check-in. When I found a special deal online that brought the room rate down by $200, I attempted to cancel my original reservation so I could rebook under the lower price. What should have been a simple cancellation turned into a frustrating ordeal. The website offered no way to cancel, so I called only to spend forty minutes on the phone just to complete a basic cancellation. Forty minutes for a task that should take seconds. How can a company that prides itself on top-tier hospitality allow such an experience? Updates: The service was still on the slow side. When we checked into our room, the shower gel bottle in the bathroom was already empty. We requested a replacement late at night when there were very few guests, but it took about 45 minutes for the bottle to arrive. Unfortunately, we were unable to shower during that time. On the positive side, all of the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. MagiQuest is a fully immersive RPG experience, which I truly appreciated as a big fan of role-playing games. The water park is fantastic, with plenty of fun attractions, and the room itself was spacious. The kids loved the bunk beds, and the beds were very comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but we do wish the customer service could be a bit more efficient to truly deliver a premium experience.

It has been 4 years since the last time we visited the lodge. We normally go to Kalahari in Round Rock but it is 3.5 hours away from it. Since this is a last minute trip, 2.5 hours was better with 3 kiddos. The water park was smaller but my kids loved it. They only played in the kid area and the wave pool. We stayed for 2 nights and it gave them one full day at the water park. We didn't do the Magic Quest but we did spend a lot money at the arcade. They already asked to come back in March for a birth celebration. They seemed to enjoy the lodge more than Kalahari since they are younger but I would personally prefer Kalahari. Overall, it was a great trip.

Google
It's a theme park geared to entertaining children. There are many upgrade options to make the company money. Some of the attractions were very crowded. We enjoyed the water park. The lifeguards were very attentive and focused. They change positions frequently which I expect keeps them mentally engaged. I'm glad the room was clean and had a small fridge and microwave. The pools were so heavily chlorinated my kids had painful red rashes after the first day. We limited pool time the following days and had them immediately wash off and apply lotion which did seem to help. After checking in we asked about a cart for luggage. Maybe they are lazy and maybe they are entertained by watching families struggle with baggage after travel, but we were simply told, "We are at capacity and people don't always return them." There was no suggestion for where to look for one and no offer to go retrieve one. After struggling with our luggage to the elevator and then down a ridiculously long hall we walked about and learned there was no shortage of carts just a shortage of hospitality on the part of the staff in welcoming their guests. A cart is a very reasonable request.

Google
This was our family's 5th GWL location and each one is always a little different from the rest. I found this one to be the most modern and well designed but I found the hotel to be too big. I've never seen a GWL with 8 floors. That many rooms equal a lot more guests, while the water park and attractions felt the same size as the smaller GWL locations we've visit in the past. This made it feel very crowded in the waterpark and in the hallways. We waited in long lines at the slides and my kids complained they couldn't complete their Magiquest games because several times they had to wait in lines of 4-5 kids to complete tasks that took 5+ minutes per kid. My kids got frustrated waiting 20+ minutes in line to do one part of the game. We never had this issue before at other GWL locations and it made us feel like we wasted our money for this activity. I will say every staff member we interacted with was very pleasant and professional and the room was very comfortable. I especially appreciated the room being available at 10am on New Years Day, which was quite a nice surprise.

Google
The location is easy to get to, the Lodge is very nice and lots of activities and help from staff in the lobby area and surrounding areas. The Premium 2 bedroom unit was a disappointment for the nightly rate. Plain & sparce. The 2 bedrooms didn't have overhead lighting, but 2 clear glass sconces next to the bed with the brightest white LED bulbs I ever seen. I had to drape hand towels on them to keep the light bulbs bearable. They could have done so much more with the decor. It's a shame. The family with 3 adults and 3 kids ages 10,7 & 5, had a great time with all of the fun activities, and swimming over the 2.5 days. The dinner buffet next to the lobby- all of the food was cold, even the prime rib was under 1 light, cold- yuk. $30 a person. The restaurant upstairs is much better so check it out. Starbucks is always busy and great assortment of food and open all day. Food is lacking, but we will absolutely go back and pack our own breakfast foods.

Yelp
We came to Great Wolf Lodge on a whim as we were sitting around, wondering what to do after the holidays. We scored a good deal on a room and purchased the pup pass before arriving. Parking was easy found a spot pretty quickly and our room was ready when we got there. We did have to wait in the long check in line because your account with Great Wolf Lodge has to match the credit card holder's name otherwise you can just use one of the kiosks. They have activities that are free in the lobby such as story time, dance parties as well as bingo. The main thing that we spent our day doing was having fun in the waterpark. We went downstairs in the food court area to grab a bite to eat. You can conveniently order in their app so that way your order is in and minimizes the wait. There are a lot of people down there wanting to eat! Magiquest is fun so bring your wands and if you don't have one that are available for purchase. Room was cozy and comfortable. Yes this place gets busy but it is part of the fun! We would definitely come back for another family getaway!

Yelp
The entertainment provided by the hotel is the only thing good about it. It was very expensive. Our room wasn't clean. Our feet stuck to floor. Also they don't clean rooms while you stay there. No where to put clothes in master bedroom in suite. No floor lamps or enough lamps. Sipper cup that I purchased in a package never received. They ran out. They told us they would have next day. 5 days later no cups. They gave our food order away to someone and then tried to make us pay again to replace it. Close parts of water park during day to clean it. I felt like the whole lodge was ran by teenagers. Poor quality for the price. We don't plan on returning to this location or other based on our experience. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. We were in Grizzly Bear suite 2058.

Yelp
Make no mistake, Great Wolf Lodge is a family resort, designed to keep kids highly entertained and YES, they will nickel and dime you for *everything.* That being said, I came here for a family vacation over Christmas and my kiddo had an absolute blast, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The resort follows an x days, y nights model - meaning, you can show up for the indoor water park at 10 am the morning of your check in and you can stay on property until 8 pm the night of your check out, if you want to maximize your stay there. Everything was decorated for the holidays during our stay and the front lobby featured a spectacular Christmas tree. Be warned, they *really* lean into the wolf "theme" Kids can howl at the gift shop to receive a free pair of wolf ears. Much like Disney's mouse ears, they're ubiquitous and you'll see lots of families wearing them around the resort. The water park was aging, but decently fun. I liked the big splash down, the wave pool and the lazy River. My daughter liked the mid-size water slides. The massive tubing slides have a 3 or 4 story drop and we didn't attempt. Lots of the infrastructure was a bit corroded or rusty even though you can see evidence of ongoing repainting projects and repairs. We attempted to order a pizza using our wristbands, but the chip reader was broken. "Snow Land" was a bit of a bust - I was expecting a Christmas village feel, but it only consisted of a few snow globes with activities that remained closed during the entirety of our visit. No matter, because there was plenty to occupy us during our stay. The next day we tackled the MagiQuest adventure. I paid for a Paws pass which includes the magic wand needed to play the game. Here's where they get you! Only a parent with a heart of stone (or empty wallet) could resist the pleas for the upgrades for a fancier looking wand and a topper. My kid LOVED the game and was determined to play through to the end of the storyline. The whole thing took about 7 hours (we broke for lunch) and my step-tracker says we walked approximately 3.5 miles. Multiple stations on the 1st-4th floor feature item-gathering quests that have you scrambling from the 4th to the 1st to the 3rd to the 2nd floor and back again. Some of the later final bosses are tough to defeat and took several tries. The lengthy cut scenes at the magical trees represented real bottlenecks and we spent quite some time queue'd up at trees, despite discovering the hack that you don't "need" to report back to the storyline-recommended tree. The stairwells and elevators are clogged with young adventurers and I don't envy the folks in hotel rooms nearby some of the busiest game areas. If you miss the wizards ceremony in the lobby for those who've finished the quest, the staff at the wand store on the 1st floor will do an impromptu "knighting" ceremony for you which was great fun. Our room was moderately comfortable- I got a room with clubhouse bunkbeds for the kids. Faucets were leaky, and the hotel had to temporarily shut off water for about an hour. Yes - a bit spendy, but absolutely a stellar time for kids. It's not the lap of luxury, but it was still very, very entertaining.

Yelp
I stayed in room 4084 back in November. The stay would have been better if staff actually cleaned the rooms. You would think since Covid they would make sure these things are always addressed. I wouldn't recommend going here. It's overrated and overpriced. Phone didn't work in the room and some of the plugs by the bed didn't work. My kids and I didn't even stay until check out.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed this family trip to GWL! We had never been before, and just wanted to play at the waterpark. But since they were running a special room price, we decided to stay a night in the Wolf Den Suite! Checking into the Lodge was super easy, just scan the QR code from your email and your wristbands get printed out! The wristbands are your key to your room and can be used to pay for most everything if you chose to have a card added to a designated wristband. We bought the breakfast package beforehand and no other special packages because I knew my kids would just want to spend their time in the water this time around. However, I told them if we want to add the MagiQuest wands next time we could, it looked like a lot of fun. But honestly, I think they would be perfectly fine just splashing and sliding. I definitely recommend Great Wolf Lodge :)

Yelp
I've been coming here since my now 23 year-old was just 10. It's always been a fun, family-friendly place and I was excited to see the recent renovations. They were definitely needed and it looks great! That said, I have to share a serious concern about our current stay. The sixth floor, where we're staying, has been overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana. If this were an adults only resort, that might be one thing, but this is a family establishment, and it's completely unacceptable. We don't live that lifestyle, and we certainly don't expose our children to it, our youngest is 10 years old. I first reported the issue at 6:05 PM, and I was told it would be addressed. When we returned around 10:30 PM, the same strong odor filled the hallway in the exact same area. I followed up again and spoke to the manager, Kiki, who sent security (Anthony) to speak with me. He was very polite and explained that it's difficult to pinpoint the source, he assured me they were looking into it. Unfortunately, if this continues tomorrow, I'll have no choice but to move my family across the street to the Gaylord, we are Titanium Marriott members so it would be easy. I've genuinely loved this family resort and we come here every summer but this might be our final visit. We can't and won't tolerate an environment like this for our children. What's frustrating is that we've visited other locations, California (I believe it's legal there), the Poconos, and Sandusky and those resorts have a clear, well-enforced zero-tolerance policy. The moment they suspect anything inappropriate, they fix it. This should be a safe, clean, and welcoming place for families. When the hallways reek of marijuana, it completely undermines the experience and makes it hard to enjoy our time here. On a positive note, I want to commend the outstanding customer service we received from Carter C. and our wonderful waitress Jayne at Firegrill. They were both fantastic and deserve recognition. But honestly customer service has never ever been an issue at this location (Don't ask me about Webster location customer service because that one sucks lol)

Yelp
Our stay was pleasant The kids love the water park and magiquest. But it's absolutely a one and done thing. They rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable and very spacious.

Yelp
I loved my stay here! Stayed here for my birthday. More so for a place to stay instead of a water park resort. And I still really enjoyed my stay. I was roughly 30 minutes from everything I needed. Only 7 minutes away from the mall where there's Meow Wolf and Round One. Everything I wanted was right there. Including their version of Chinatown. Great stay. Nice hotel rooms and good distance from everything. Would definitely come back. They even give you free ears!

Yelp
Scam, ripoff, charged 5-600$ dollars for one night, only add on being the 100$ dining deal, which didn't even do anything since they charged 136$ for 2 buffet plates and the food sucked. Meaning the 100$ paid in advance no longer did anything for the trip. Magiquest cost 90$ for a plastic wand and the actual game; the waterpark is similar quality to kahlihari resort, the base cost was supposed to only be 340$ for a standard room.. the room is no better than any best western out there.. overall bad experience; just trying to stop people from making the same mistakes I did, it really sucks the room isn't even a whirlpool but it is 340$.. only chose to come because had no family to spend holidays with, ik prices jump during holidays, but all the overtime I worked went right in the drain like it didn't matter. Waited in check in line 3 times in a row to get into room, that time is gone Showers in room did not run hot water and took forever to get Luke warm. Wanted a good place to get away from home for a little bit but this place has you begging to go right back home after 3hours, will never come back and advise any other families or couples to steer clear of this place. Nickel and dimming people is an understatement.

Yelp
The lodge had lots of great activities for the kids to enjoy! The water park was amazing! The lines for the slides were reasonable. We only wish more inner tubes were functioning. The family enjoyed the laser tag and bowling. The atmosphere was festive and energetic. The employees were very helpful and friendly across the board. The lifeguards were attentive. We enjoyed the convenience of having the room key built into our wristbands. There were drawbacks when we entered the room. The thermostat never got the room comfortably cool. There was hair in our tub. The room had no hand soap for after using the toilet and every hand sanitizer station was empty. The elevators were slow and one seemed permanently out of service, slowing it down further. Overall, still net positive experience.

Yelp
Our family just had our second visit to Great Wolf Lodge, and it was just as much fun as the first time around! We love this resort for a quick getaway, especially during these hot summer months when an indoor water park is a real treat. Hard to believe but it really does get to hot outside in Texas to swim! The kids, of course, were absolutely thrilled with the water park & our room was comfortable for the family, providing a good base for our stay. The convenience of having multiple dining options on-site meant we rarely had to leave the resort, which is a huge plus when you're trying to maximize your fun time.

Yelp
This Great Wolf Lodge has been around for a very long time and needs a much needed renovation. We went during some of the renovations where we had to park in the very back because front entrance was inaccessible and we had to walk far to get to our room after checking in. The room was old and smelled a little of mildew but we didn't complain that much during our stay because we were hardly in there. Honestly we only came here because we received a discount to stay again from the Webster location and decided since we were going to Dallas anyway we could give this stay a try. Only reason why it's not one star is because we had a quick check in, safe area around the hotel, the waitress at the breakfast buffet was so nice and the drive to other places in Dallas we were going to wasn't bad from here. The waterpark was okay but did not have as much to do for my older son. He actually fell really bad and hit his face by the large bucket play area because it was so slippery on some part where there was a trickle of water. Food was outrageously priced. We ate at the breakfast buffet which was not worth it like the one in Webster and because of this renovation there was a lot of loud noise so early in the morning and we could smell the hot torch air from the construction. We also ate at the restaurant upstairs for dinner and the service was so unbelievably slow I was over it. The nachos had so many jalapeños in it that my kids couldn't eat it. But the kicker for us was the last night of our stay... my husband found a single bed bug in the bathroom and killed it. We freaked out and checked everywhere else in the room especially the beds but nothing so not sure. Maybe it crawled from the vent? We checked out so fast the next morning, a little rattled and probably won't be back to this location again.

Yelp
My first post renovation trip after many trips to the older property. I really like the extensive rework downstairs on level 1 with Magiquest, the food court, and other amenities. However, I do feel like bowling and VR pricing has a horrible value. I can pay $17 for magiquest that takes an average kid 4 hours to play and have fun or $8 for 5 minutes of VR or 20 minutes of bowling. It made way more sense to avoid all the new for the redone magiquest game that the kids reported worked wonderfully. Both inside and outside water parks are the same with a little more random seating in hidden places. Cabanas are expensive in both areas but don't provide enough perks or premium locations to warrant the cost. The biggest issue we experienced was guests with young kids either not having swim diapers or letting them get too full caused both areas to be shut down three separate times. I can only imagine how disappointed day pass goers felt sitting out for 45 minutes to an hour waiting for it to be ready again. The lifeguards hate it as do the guests so keep your kids clean and checked. Still recommend the highest tier birthday package that gives banners, $40 back to the arcade, pizza and soda, full size cake, and balloons for $90. They've kept that the same price for years and that's appreciated to make birthday goers feel special. Overall, a good family time with a few hiccups but something we would revisit. Although the magiquest fans would appreciate a new game, rotating games or something to liven their experience.

Yelp
We've only been at Great Wolf Lodge for 10 minutes, and I can already say our experience has been nothing short of incredible. Our amenities host, Melyssa, went above and beyond for us from the very start. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcomed right away. It's rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about making your stay special, and Melyssa absolutely exceeded our expectations. She set the tone for what is already shaping up to be an amazing trip. Thank you, Melyssa--you are truly outstanding!

Yelp
We traveled to GWL, this past weekend on Sunday for an annual outing . It was my little cousins birthday. We always celebrate around the holidays with all the cousins. I want to recognize Jonathan Orona and his employee Laine who was an amazing waiter, forgot his last name. I have never seen 2 people go above and beyond as these two gentlemen did. Their knowledge and service was impressive. Because of them we will return to GWL. Thank you for restoring my faith in service!!!! You are top notch!!!

Yelp
We visited back in 2019. A lot has changed since then as far as aesthetics go. It looks so outdated and different from how it looks when we went before. The staff were great. In the waterpark area, if you do not intend on getting wet wear minimal clothing and bring a handheld fan. It gets really hot in there, and the chlorine smell can be over powering. Living as far as I live from great Wolf, I would not make the drive to come back, but if you are closer to the area, I would definitely recommend you bring your kids, especially in the colder months just so they can have some swimming fun.

Yelp
My kids definitely hard fun here especially in the games area. The rooms definitely need upgrading! Breakfast buffet wasn't bad, it was expected. May probably have to come back and give a try when my kids a way older than toddlers!

Yelp
My Jersey girl went Above and Beyond on this one she had her makeup done so pretty and she went under that water to get a kids goggles as a life thought I thought that was so beautiful so I just wanted to stop and say job well done

Yelp
Clean indoor water Park and parking lot space was tidy. Meals were well kept and little to no free roaming critters unless shot, kilt, and served on a platter. Best.

Yelp
Customer service individual sent me a nice message today- I appreciate her apology. She sent me a form to request a room for a mother who lost her only child by alleged murder.

Yelp
The longer we deal with the hotel the lower the rating is getting. We separated half the family flew and other half stayed a couple days longer. That's where the hotel went sideways. We paid for extra days with the understanding from staff that the rest of fam would simplify transfer from the old room to the new room without any difficulty or wait. Couple hours later they were still living in a hall. The hotel has provided no accommodation no care and we won't use their facilities again save the aggravation and stay elsewhere. The pluses of the Great Wolf don't equal the cons of the Great disaster.

Yelp
The best place for family to vacation. It's all in one place which makes it so fun and easy on every family. Water park, adult jacuzzi, build a bear, arcade, restaurants, free kids activities and dance parties, mining for gems. This place has it all! Meet and greet animal character and dance parties were a hit. The pool area is amazing and a ton of fun!!!! The food here is delicious and the restaurant by the lobby (buffet) was DELICIOUS. We had an amazing experience. Of course with any vacation spots there are pros and cons. CONS: The scheduling and cancelation is strict and ridiculous. The worst part is allowing anyone to put there card on file if it's for a kids day or christmas present for families. They make it a hassle to do things. Lastly the pools are NOT heated which tucked in the winter. The pool area is warm but the pools are cold which really is upsetting. They should be heated. Jacuzzi are barely hot also.

Yelp
This was our first visit to great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. We are visiting here from California and decided to try it out since we've tried the great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove. This was hands-down way better than the one in California. The customer service was amazing. Everyone was super friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. The waterpark was nice, and it was not packed. I was very happy with our trip.

Kaiden H.

Yelp
Had a great experience at the Great Wolf Lodge! I loved the Coyote Cannon, yellow Alberta Falls, and Howlin' Tornado the best! The remodels look great, we haven't been since it was under construction and the new restaurants look amazing, especially the Timbers Table buffet that was formerly called The Loose Moose Cottage and Timbers Table is bigger too. It was very nice and the rooms were good. The negative Yelp reviews that I saw didn't match the positive experiences I experienced. I do recommend this place for your family or waterpark lover to try.

Snow I.

Yelp
Was good, we had a great time at the water park coffee and food is great and a lot of fun, one downside is that there's not light in the shower... Overall pretty good ,snow

Yelp
If you're looking for sleep, peace, or sanity -- keep driving. They should rename this place "The Torture Lodge." The food is unedible (like they deep-fried disappointment), the "family suite" looks like it was last updated when Blockbuster was still open, and the beds are as hard as the management's hearts. The blinking fire alarm doubles as a rave light, and the toilet runs every 14 seconds just to remind you it's still miserable. There are kids screaming and running laps through the halls all night long -- and you can hear everything. I mean everything -- neighbors' phones, conversations, probably their thoughts. The "Magic Quest" game is right outside the doors, so good luck sleeping while children on a sugar high are yelling spells at midnight. The only thing magical about this place is how fast it'll make you want to check out.

Yelp
This place needs major upgrade. We did the self check in and valet. Valet is $38 per day and only 1 person operates it, definitely cannot keep up with the crowds. I tried to buy a wolf pass on their app and it didn't work, so I had to go to front desk to purchase it, which was a 45-minute wait. They had 3 receptionists out 7 front desks, multiple people in their back office but just didn't come out to help. The elevators are so outdated, minimum 5 -15 minutes wait. 1st to 4th floor are for MagiQuest, so hordes of kids took the elevators and stairs at the same time, if you live above 4th floor, good luck trying to get in an elevator. The food is overpriced and ok tasting, burgers, fries and pizzas, they are definitely geared for kids but don't expect healthy food for parents. The pretzelmaker is good but high price. It is better to go outside to get food. Starbucks had a long waiting line in the morning, I waited an hour to get my coffee, there were 40 people in line and only 3-4 baristas. Indoor water playground are fun for adults and kids. We also got built a bear, rope course, mining experience and MagiQuest, which are fun. Housekeeping is on demand. I requested the service once out of my 3-day stay. However, they only cleaned the microwave halfway area and one bathroom in our suite, and forgot about the 2nd bathroom, living room and 2 bedrooms. They did a half-ass cleaning, I never see anything like this before. I know I would spend a fortune here and everything was overpriced, which I don't mind if you give me quality service and my kids are happy, but the rundown place and lack of staff don't justify the cost at all. Avoid this place at all costs. Ambience: 1/10 Food:5/10(pretzelmaker got the rating) Price: 1/10 Service: 0/10

Yelp
Average. Rooms need an upgrade, no gym to use, food and attractions all very pricey for the quality, rooms not always ready by check in time. My kids had fun but from an adult perspective Kalahari in round rock is a much much better stay.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay very much! Kids loved the water and the magiquest. Lots of extras to do other than the water park (for more money of course). While the rooms do have some issues (older furnishings and dripping faucets), the renovated lobby was great! Loved the luggage trolley provided so you can easily get your things to the rooms. Customer service was not bad, mostly friendly faces. TV channels and WiFi were great. Food options are slim but you can easily go out for food if you want. Didn't love the parking fee of $15 a day and the resort fee of $40 a night. Warning: this Starbucks is really crowded and they don't take your membership or give you points or allow mobile orders

Yelp
3 star hotel sounds about right. we were tol everything woul be taken care of but they wanted parking money when checking in. Wrist ban gott to be worn all the time. breakfast is yum delicious chocolate fountian but staff try to push you for tip. Smoke alarm started flashing on second light, no biggie. Rooms are nice and warm but no soap given. Had forgotten a few things they charge very high for amenities are true let down -1 star. Pool is kind of interesting (Went for myself) but great for children and kids alike. Charge to the room, and a convenient starbucks. I didn't have time to do the wand game but they charge 60 dollars for wand+game quite a price. I recommend prepacking water. Lots of excitement, but they have to fix their game and make their rooms a little bit more innueno to get to four star. Staff was very kind. I wanted to stroll around the hotel around 3am as i woke up and black male asked whether I "need help" no i dont. 24 hour arcade but ofcourse requires coins. I think my lack of prep influenced my decision but plenty of fun to be had and looks like a great place to take kids.

Yelp
So, we gave another try because of a great promotion. PROS- I was pleasantly surprised with all their springtime activities, the walls are surprisingly thick that you can't hear a baby crying next door! All the renovations are completed, so it is a smooth travel between floors and activities. Even though the outdoor pool was closed, the rope course was open! What a fun adventure! You truly don't have to leave the hotel if you wish so. CONS- Our remote and toilet still wasn't working , at least maintenance came fast. I do not think it's worth $300 per night, but a great promo is priced just correctly. I would recommend you looking frequently for good promo codes.

Yelp
Employee Theft Without our knowledge various employees were entering the room. One was caught by a kid who was undressing. I filled a security report. That is how we knew of the other employee entrances and GWL policy against it. Later, as we were packing up to leave we noticed our belongings missing. After four hours of runarounds which felt more like waiting us out (my keys were gone too), I called the cops to file a report before departing the premises. Noting, I had requested to file a police report 2 hours previously and GWL never followed through. During this four hours of waiting on my son's birthday with a group of young teen boys, they could only conclude that I never entered with my purse/satchel. Not sure what ID they saw when I checked in. When I offered to identify it on surveillance they told me that was against their privacy policy. The cop was there for less than 2 minutes to get my statement and a random employee angrily ran up and threw it at me. GWL did nothing. This place is ripe for employee theft. Families leave personal belongings in the room as everything including money is on your wristband. And, there is so much hustle and bustle, most people likely leave before discovering items missing. Noting, they wouldn't even check if it had been turned into security or lost and found without filing an online report first. I probably would have had to leave if my keys hadn't been taken too. Update: Their internal report with police included a total different chain of events that didnt change that an employee was responsible. Although my intention was just to report it so that there was history for any further occurrences, GWL's response left no other avenue but to pursue charges. When trying to contact GWL, the only number that worked was one reported on BBB. Also, their own call center had to report that they were unreachable as they tried for over 30 minutes. Greg called me and said he was head of security. He was the first that seemed apologetic but without substance. He said it was routine for these occurrences which are direct failures of corporate protocol. These protocols are probably in place to prevent this exact situation. You would think the head of security would be more concerned. THESE ARE KIDS. My main concern was what the minors were subjected to. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. There is no oversight, no accountability, and their own call center cant reach them. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Yelp
My grandsons had celebrated birthdays at GWL before, but it had been a couple of years since they had been. It was my first time. I surprised them with an early Christmas gift. Before arriving, I watched YouTube videos to get the best advice on how to make our trip the best possible for the boys and most cost effective for moi. YouTube for the win! I packed our own groceries, so I had snacks for the boys between events. Additionally, my Son arrived later in the day, in time for dinner, so he brought dinner for us. Everything is very pricey and they nickel and dime you to death. I did pay for a family breakfast buffet at $80! Which wasn't worth the price. My grandsons are tiny and only ate a couple of bites of yogurt, one had a sausage patty, one had a slice of bacon and they drank some juice. Even for 2 adults, we had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, potatoes and juice... Definitely not $80 worth! It's nice there's a Starbucks inside, however, they open late, for a Starbucks. Kids are up before the crack of dawn! I need coffee at 6am, not 7:45. The lines were down the hallway, so you had to wait 45 minutes to get coffee...Then my spouse brought us lunch when they were ready for a lunch break. So we saved a bundle on meals. Purchasing the wands and toppers in advance, online, was a bonus. Apparently I saved about $40, as opposed to buying on-site. I also ordered a snowland backpack for them as well. They were super cute and included holiday wolf ears, a stuffy, a nice sized sweatshirt material blanket, a huge treat bag and an ornament, all in a reusable clear backpack. Definitely a hit! The Magi-Quest was their favorite thing to do while there. It was hard on me due to my OA, as the elevators had a 10-15 minute wait time, so the boys wanted to take the stairs, obvs because it was faster, they were super excited to play! Of course the challenges bounce around from floor levels 1-4, so it was painful... Next favorite, for them, was the water park. Boy, when you walk into the enclosed water park, the chlorine gas takes your breath away! My boys wanted me to go in the lazy river with them, but I didn't last long. I got water dumped on my head, as I "walked" with my grandson. Once I got chlorine in my eyes, it burned terribly and I couldn't open my eyes, I had to get out! Not to mention it's the shallowest lazy river, Ive ever been in. Way too shallow! There a bonus 18 and over triple sized hot tub tho, that made the whole trip worth it! The boys had a blast going down the big slides, jumping waves, in the wave pool and my little bit, had fun on the smaller water sprayground, while my 7yr old had a blast going across the floating stones! The only negatives are cost, excessive chlorine and archaic elevators. Hence the 4 stars. Everything is ridiculously expensive and anything you'd like to add or do, costs money, no matter how small. I learned that asking for Late checkout was a must, as once you check out of your room, you can still stay and play all day, but what to do with your things. Regular checkout is at 11, late checkout is 2. So I asked for late checkout and they were like, sure, that's $60 + $4.95 tax! Sheesh, the room was $209 + fees! Well I paid it, simply for the convenience, not to mention the first weekend in December was freezing AND raining! All in all, if you plan it right, you can save a little money and still have a great time! Bring your own food and buy online discounts, in advance. It was also nice to know, before hand, to arrive before 4pm, check-in time. We arrived at 3:30 and check-in was a breeze!

Yelp
We have booked here in the past and unless it's discounted don't buy. They also have gotten very greedy and now all parking is $15/day. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yelp
Location Just off 635 northwest of Dallas Parking Large free lot-also have valet Atmosphere Lodge like resort Seating Bar, tables-good for groups Service It was a holiday so probably not an indication of normal but friendly Menu We were at the bar-holiday drink menu and regular-salads, burgers, steaks. Full menu. We had the chicken caesar salad and tomato bisque. The salad was a generous serving with a large grilled chicken breast. Very tasty and fresh. The soup was perfect except Mine did not have the parmesan crostini's like another customer. Summary Conveniently located resort restaurant. Fun atmosphere, great food, nice variety of beverages, wonderful wine list. Free parking! Wolf ears for all!

Yelp
Been here a few times now they've recently remodeled and things are all new than before. This is the first time I've utilized the outside pool area as it's normally March when here. There's more than expected and it's very open with tons of seating. The outdoor pool closes at 1930 and indoor at 2000. Also there are now gate that you have to receive a ticket from like a parking garage to enter, these are new as you could freely enter and exit before. This seems like a good safety measure, however when returning my armband could not be read so I received another ticket for entry. I am not sure how they knows who is and isn't receiving these tickets if they aren't presented to the front desk. I feel if they have individuals who are staying maybe be given a pass upon check in to show they are a patron for the evening. Yet this could also make one a target for someone is they are aware of this. I say all that to say, we'd be staying again. Have fun and enjoy

Yelp
There is a lot of buck here and virtually no bang. I feel like all of the information I spent hours scouring the website FAQs and information for was wrong or misleading, so a giant waste of my time. The cabanas were mispriced on the website, the hours on the website didn't match what they told us at the properties, the restaurants were made out to be a multitude of freestanding establishments, when they were essentially one fast food court and a breakfast buffet. We had lunch from the stand in the water park one day, and it was barely edible. If you get a chance to have the chicken nachos, pass on that. I also found the magic quest to be ridiculous. You just climb back and forth from the first to the fourth floor over and over again and waiting behind 25 of your closest friends to point a wand at the same screen. It was painful. Some choose not to take the stairs which then just clogs up the elevators. The bowling was also a disappointment. You had to just stand in line for one of the six lanes (four were working while we were there) to open up and hope your pins didn't get tangled up requiring you to call for help. This is all to say, my Husband and I did not love this experience. Despite that, our kids did love it. They ate corn dogs, waived their little over-priced wands, watched the little wolf cartoons, played the overpriced arcade games and lived their best lives.

Yelp
The Great Wolf Lodge Resort in the Dallas area is located in Grapevine, Tx. The area is very nice with lots of shopping and dining and was decorated very nicely for the Christmas Holidays. The Great Wolf Lodge was too. The water park, which is the primary attraction of the resort, is a kid's wonderland. The water slides, pools and water attractions are a lot of fun. The whole of the resort seems very clean and well maintained. I felt safe with a strong life guard presence in the water feature areas - which we really appreciated given we traveled here with our 5 & 7 year old kids (who are proficient swimmers). The reason this otherwise fantastic resort deserves the rating of a 2 from me is because of the beds! Despite the fact that the water feature is why one comes here - there is NO EXCUSE for a hotel charging upwards of $300/night (or even anything over $150) to provide guests with a subpar bed. We are members of DVC (Disney Vacation Club) and we have never visited a Disney resort that had a bed like this. The bed felt like what I've experienced at a Motel 6. Motel 6 beds are fine when you pay for Motel 6 - but there is zero reason to expect that kind of bed in a place like this. We are experienced travelers and have been all over the world. I was shocked to find that this place would even place a bed like this in one of its resorts. Unacceptable. I admit we took one of the last 4 rooms available and that there may be other rooms that have better beds, but again I am SHOCKED that this bed would be in ANY room of this hotel, given the prices charged. The resort may have world class water features and amenities - but it has classless beds - at least in our room. If you expect a nice bed - go somewhere else. I hate to say it - but I feel pretty certain that I won't be returning to this resort (or another of their other locations) given the poor quality of the mattress in our room. Such a shame, really, that the resort would allow subpar beds to be placed in its resort and 100% avoidable. (As an addendum, we ran into friends who also stayed during the same time we were here and have been several times - they said every room they've been in is the same kind of bed). One other annoying issue was that the toilet in the room did not reliably flush. The water pressure seemed to be an issue and this caused the need to flush at least twice between uses. The toilet tank filled slowly, which meant you had to wait a bit between flushes. Totally first world problems, I admit - but when living in the first world and paying first world prices - I feel folks should know our experience if it would help them avoid this kind of experience, if they expect more from their guest room experience. To end the review on a positive note - we purchased a breakfast buffet package for our family and it was well worth it. The buffet included an omelet station, pastries, hot breakfast items, fresh fruit, cereal (and drinks were included in the pre-purchase package). The best part was our wait staff, Carolyn G. She was a fantastic wait person - friendly and accommodating and very welcoming of our family. I changed the overall rating of the resort based on my interaction with Carolyn G. The bed we had was awful - but the customer service from Carolyn was world class! She deserves a raise! Go and have fun - but bring an egg crate for the bed if you're older than 20 something!

Yelp
My family loves GWL but I'm not as sold as they are. Maybe because I'm the one who sees the bill, lol. It is definitely worth experiencing the full effect (hotel, buffet, arcade, and water park) at least once. After that, though, you may get more out of doing less - day pass, skip the overpriced arcade, eat outside of the facility. We've done that before and it's a less jagged financial pill to swallow. There are just several things GWL does weakly compared to other water parks. The wave pool does not produce waves. You barely undulate at all. There really are only 5 cool slides to go on - 4 if your kids aren't tall enough. I haven't even experienced the park in full because there's always a short-staff issue so they don't open the slides outside. The lazy river is the smallest I've ever seen. And, of course, price gouging. Subpar food is served at the buffet for $18/pp. $20 worth of arcade credits lets you play about 8 games only. A fun hotel room with a bunkbed for the kids eats up your savings in two nights and the rooms are nothing to sing home about. Again, day pass this place and bring your own food. Or you could hit up Hawaiian Falls/Waters and get way more bang for your buck.

Yelp
everything seems half assed here even all their activities. for example, the daily yoga they do every morning they don't know any poses and it's only 10 minutes long. It just seems like they phone everything in here. All their arts and crafts are very haphazard and not well thought out like for example their arts and crafts is just coloring with crayons, which is a very basic activity. it seems like for the most part they're just checking a box that says "hey look we have activities" while not ever really trying to do anything worthwhile.

Yelp
We visited Great Wolf Lodge for the first time, and honestly, for the price of our stay, we had higher expectations. Here are some observations from our experience: At the Fireside Restaurant, we tried dining at 1 PM. We were seated promptly, but after 20 minutes, no one came to take our order or bring drinks. There was only one person waiting, and with only about six tables seated, the restaurant was not busy at all. The fountain drinks in the food hall and water park area were disappointing. They never had ice, and the drinks were so watery it was undrinkable. The food was also a letdown for the cost. It was overpriced for the quality, to the point that we had Uber deliver food, which was both better in quality and cheaper. The staff at Pretzelmaker and Wood's End Creamery were very nice, but the lack of urgency was frustrating. With 20 people in line, it felt like the employees were working in slow motion. While always friendly, some efficiency would go a long way. To top it off, on our last night, we tried to get a bottle of water from a vending machine on the 8th floor, but it was offline, so we couldn't even get water. Overall, the water park itself was good, and the kids had fun. The lifeguards on duty were very nice and very alert, which I appreciated. The other amenities outside the water park need the attention stated above to really bring the experience up to the hype. Based on this experience, if this is all Great Wolf Lodge has to offer for that type of money. We will not return and will advise other families to steer clear.

Yelp
It's so fun but don't go swimming in the cold or you will get sick like me. It's fun, but I also saw this nice lifeguard his name is Diego, but he said that it's twin brother's name. He's very funny. He has curly hair and stuff and when he went down to slide, he was like have a nice day girls, but like in a girl voice like it was so funny but y'all should come here. It's so fun. It's worth your money. It's worth your money just come.

Yelp
This place used to be so fun... this has been apart of my childhood since I was 7 years old, and now, coming here for my 19th birthday, I'm so disappointed. They changed everything, it's all cramped and colorless now, everything is 10x more expensive, and they might as well plaster a sign saying "we'll rob you" They took away the wolves in the entrance that were on the rocks, they took away the 9:30pm waterpark close time, they took away free parking, and they took away the animatronics, replaced with with a screen. Yes! What kids need, more screen time. It went from a childhood experience to a cash grab, and I'm so disappointed. All the color is gone too, they put the arcade behind a wall, hiding any ACTUAL activity and replacing it with a tan wall. Brown and orange are the only colors, and even the ice cream parlor has been reduced to a "clean" drab, gray color. I guess that's just what you get when you grow up though! All color is gone, and children will get colorless, screen filled experiences from now on. A family fun resort where you can't do anything unless you've saved 1k.

Yelp
My kids really loved it here. It's expensive for what it is, the carpet in the room was wet upon arrival and everything smelled moldy, even six floors up. Food is expensive too, a hamburger dinner for four, skipping two of the fries and a drink was $72. My biggest beef was the idiot at check-in. The goateed staff member messed up the process, looked up the wrong person's reservation, and tried telling me I arrived the wrong month(!?!!!). Idk what else I could've done-- I booked directly through the hotel, spelled my (short) last name to the fool, and even offered to read off the confirmation number. It wasted 45 minutes and upset my children. He also messed up the wristbands and they didn't work. A subsequent visit later to Aliyah (who was incredible!) tried to remedy the issue but ultimately the bands were useless throughout our 3 day stay. She gave us a meal voucher though. My kids were extremely happy though and that's what matters. Check in could've been better, and most of the hotel staff can't speak English, so you'll be forced to return to the lobby for follow up queries. The weekend was about $1400 in mid-November.

Yelp
This was my sons only 9th birthday request and thus while price point makes me cringe it's an easy delivered gift. Our last go around here was 3 years ago, and to much surprise renovations are still needed with some of their offered amenities. Our room was a Kid Kamp Suite which offered a camping themed kids area that housed twin size bunk beds, adjacent to that on the other side of the wall was a queen bed and pull out couch. There is a 2 person dinning table & chairs, a 1/2 kitchen with old trusty ice bucket, coffee maker, microwave, and micro fridge. They only give you 3 pods for coffee (it's not a Keurig) but the daily housekeeping if asked will gladly provide more. You can tell the kids climb all over the "tent" feature as it's paint is worn in many areas, especially in and out of the tent window. I purchased the middle grade birthday package at 59.99. It included a door banner, 5 balloons (3 paw balloons and 2 smaller ones), birthday card, $20 dollar paw points, 1/4 sheet white cake coupon you redeem at the food court, 4 birthday plates & cups. The photo of the cake I provided is terrible, I should have timed picking up the cake and rather I picked it up too soon, which would be fine to give it some time to thaw as it's frozen on retrieval, but we were too full to consume it and well the cake doesn't fit in the fridge. So our cake experienced some humidity causing the sugar laid photo to bubble as I still placed it in the fridge with it "cracked" open. All the same the door banner was probably the most liked add on, and now I know the cake is unnecessary if we ever do another birthday package. The location of our room was perfect 4th floor, first suite room at the start of the hall, stones throw to the elevator, The Grounds attraction, and the main lobby stair case which gave us easy access to the extra activities if we so desired to do them. Our view was that of the outdoor park area (which sadly is only open Memorial Day to Labor Day). The Grounds by Top Golf is the newest interactive game based activity. While in theory it's great but the sensors are terrible to respond and at 69.99 an hour that's not acceptable. We spent most of the time frustrated with getting it to respond and many of the games were just not worth the said frustration to play. We ordered onion rings, chicken tenders and fries and 2 drinks. Our total upon leaving with cost of hour was roughly $105. Can't say we would bother with this one again. The Magi & Shadow Quest (Compass Quest is gone they still sell them as souvenirs, but game is obsolete). There is much in need of repair. I can say without a doubt none of the treasure chests function. They still speak to you with wave of wand but all the lids hinges are broken and they don't open. Wands have gotten a massive upgrade in style/look and lights. We had our old wands which I have to admit I like a whole lot more. The games are 14.99/16.99 to play and wands are 19.99 on up in cost and there are toppers which vary in cost. My two kids still enjoyed playing and without a doubt I can say you'll log at minimum 40 flights of stairs playing these games as elevators are too slow for how much you need to move up and down all 8 floors (and you spend much of your time in the "hidden" stairwell). So lastly the water park; we enjoyed the water park arriving early at 9AM to snag chairs and having no wait for the slides. We spent about 3 hours the first day (rode slides about 10 times). All slides are tube/raft style. There are 3 slides that allow single or double rider; these require you to lug a tube up about 5/6 flights of stairs. Orange is fully enclosed and seemed the fastest, yellow is moderate, has random openings inside the park, and green fully enclosed seems same speed as yellow. The other two slides the tubes are brought up by conveyer and offer 2-4 riders. The Tornado (well I rode it backwards) was my least favorite it takes you outside into that large red and yellow funnel which brought on the motion sickness. Overall we had a great time, we rarely almost never eat at Great Wolf, there are tons of restaurants not far from the facility. They have Valet parking along with self paid premium parking and then those spots for folks who can walk the short walk. Not sure when we will get back again but hoping they work on getting things repaired. At their price point it seems ridiculous any of their amenities remain in disarray.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE! My family was exposed to bed bugs!!!! My daughter has bites from head to toe all over! We stayed in room 6013 at the Grapevine location. It's so unfortunate that I have been contacting them for hours on their app through chat with no response, text messages from our so called representative with no response, sat hours on the phone with calls dropping and it's been the worse experience!! Emailed them and still waiting on a response!!

Yelp
We hosted a birthday party for our daughter here. She was turning 16 and invited 4 friends. They had a great time and no issues. GWL is geared toward younger guests but worked for older kids as well. It's decorated for the holiday season so that was nice as well. My only complaint is the elevators. If you're targeting young families you should have more elevators for them and all the stuff. For us it made sense to just use the stairs. Come with lots of patience for little kiddos and running through the halls!!

Yelp
My stay was 4 stars but giving 3 stars for shadiness on the remodeling stuff. We got lucky that they were mostly finished when we got there. The lobby had opened back up like a few hours before we arrived. It is super uncool and shady to not tell people that you are remodeling when they book with you and then to not offer comps. Our stay - This was a fun place. I would recommend it for a few days (maybe like 2-3 nights). I wouldn't want to do a full week here. Probably best for ages 3-10 but good for kids in general. The good: Clean Water park is fun and indoor - no sunscreen needed Buffet and dining food were good (not the food by the pool) You can bring in food and there's a small (but not tiny) fridge The bad: I wish things opened earlier. Starbucks doesn't open until 7 and there's no order ahead. The line it's long. Stores and build a bear don't open until 8 or 9. Mining doesn't open until 11. Parents and kids usually wake up early so this was SO ANNOYING!!! Like why The coffee in the room was the worst coffee I've ever tasted in my life. Expensive- try to find a deal or code versus paying full price. Elevators can be slow at peak times. The food at the water park and that area has barely any healthy options. Tips If you are in a spot to stay during an off time like the middle of the week you'd probably avoid a lot of the crowds. Bring your own food for breakfast and snacks. ETA about the remodeling: They were doing minor remodeling while we were there. I would be upset if they were doing more. They did not give us a heads up when we were booking that they were remodeling. Most of the major stuff was done during our trip but I do want to point out it is shady and that's why there are so many upset people leaving reviews.

Yelp
I was not very impressed with my stay here, Sergio the bartender i swear is the glue holding that damn waterpark together. That man can make magic with little to no ingredients, no thanks to management not doing their jobs.
