We visited in September 2025 as a family with two children under 5 years old, this was our first holiday in Greece and the Grecotel Luxme Kos was fantastic, we have just booked to return in June next year and will be visiting with another family. ||Admittedly I was apprehensive following some of the peak season summer reviews however we did not experience anything like some of the negative comments.||We arrived very late in the evening and were greeted swiftly and offered food and refreshments, the check in process was friendly and smooth, I always found the reception staff to be welcoming. The chaps at the front who assist with baggage were very friendly and engaging with the kids whenever we met them. ||Our room was a pool view family bungalow, it was perfectly fine just a little dated for a 5 star hotel however I understand rooms are gradually undergoing upgrades, it was however clean and I found the bed comfortable. ||The hotel grounds are stunning and the pool areas and artificial beach are very well kept and tended to by staff. Due to the time of year the pools were a little cold however after a couple of days we were used to it. The beach front location is a real bonus and had a quiet and chilled out vibe, there were families around like our own however plenty of areas for couples or those without children to find a quiet spot. ||We stayed half board and this was great for us, a positive is the ability to swap lunch and evening meals around depending on your plans for the day. We found all of the food and drinks to be of a very good standard and staff provided a friendly and efficient service, the buffet restaurant area is very nice and particularly the outdoor area with a view of the grounds. Next time we are staying all inclusive and look forward to this, if you want to venture out the beach bar 10 min walk down the road or the Taverna opposite are both great with lovely food,||We found the taxi service efficient, ordered via reception and always arrived within 10 mins for a ride to Kos Town. ||The children enjoyed the kids mini disco, its brief on an evening but our children also enjoyed dancing to the various artists/ entertainer’s scheduled through the week for evening entertainment. ||Comments suggesting this hotel is not 5* I would disagree with, there is a huge range between 5 star resorts depending largely on how much you’re willing to pay, given our experience it’s 5 star and reasonably priced. ||Overall we loved our stay, the hotel feels relaxed with a peaceful vibe and the staff are all friendly. Absolutely looking forward to our stay next year. The Hotel and Kos itself were a great introduction to visiting Greece.
