Green Camp Bali

I believe this camp is truly essential for children today, who often receive only standardized education in the city and lack opportunities to connect with nature. Since the world will look different for the next generation, I deeply appreciate that the camp allows children to experience and embody sustainability and environmental protection firsthand. This was not just a superficial activity—it involved building and creating everything from scratch, giving the children meaningful time to reflect and engage deeply. My daughter is usually very shy, so I didn’t expect much improvement in her English. But even so, she seems to have gained some confidence:) I sincerely hope that schools like this will continue to appear around the world. I’m disappointed with our experience at Green English Camp. We enrolled expecting a practical, nature-based English immersion program, but it felt much more like a traditional classroom course. A big part of the day was spent studying from books, and on some days it was basically 9am to 12pm in class studying and reading. I thought it would be more practical English while exploring nature, but they spent most of the time in the wall-less classroom area instead. Which to be honest, you don’t need to be in the middle of the jungle to do that, you can do it anywhere in the world The website mentions “native teachers,” but the teachers were Indonesian and had a very strong Indonesian accent, which wasn’t what was advertised. That said, even though they are not native English speakers, they were genuinely welcoming and sweet, and my kids liked them. Also, several activities we expected from the videos and the information on the website were not included in the program, like yoga, the reflection journal, mud wrestling, and palm tree climbing. Instead they did arts and craft in the wall-less classroom with very little exploration. Before enrolling, I wrote to share my concerns and asked for the program details. They didn’t answer my questions and said they would only send the program once I enrolled, which I found frustrating and not transparent. Finally, I know this part is out of the camp’s control, but the overall English level of many of the other kids was very low, so my kids couldn’t really communicate well with their peers, which reduced the immersion experience. Overall, it didn’t match the expectations set by the website, and the communication before enrollment was poor. The location is beautiful in the middle of the jungle.

We joined the 5-days Family Camp program held here. Our family is my wife, 8-years-old son and me. There are lots of interesting activities related to sustainabilities and nature and tradition of Bali Island. This spot is recommendable for people who are interested in environmental education.😄

3-Day Family Camp at Green Camp, Bali Our family recently attended the 3-day family camp at Green Camp, Bali, part of the Green School family, and it was an unforgettable experience. I attended with my two boys, aged 8 and 12, and it proved to be a fantastic opportunity for them to get a taste of the Green School ethos, learn about sustainability, and immerse themselves in Indonesian culture. The course director, Kiky, and facilitators Gede, Dina, and Sky were truly exceptional. Their enthusiasm and passion for the camp and its mission were evident in every activity and interaction. They created a warm, engaging environment that brought the experience to life for both children and adults. Kiky’s leadership and personal touch made everything run seamlessly, while Gede, Dina, and Sky brought energy and depth to every session, sharing their knowledge with genuine joy and care. The camp offered a perfect balance of hands-on activities, nature immersion, and teamwork. My boys loved learning practical skills, such as building and crafting with natural materials, and exploring the connection between sustainability and our daily choices. It was also a wonderful chance for them to experience the value of working with others and the impact it can have. As a family, we cherished the chance to reconnect with nature, unplug from the busyness of life, and spend quality time together. Meeting families from across the globe added another enriching layer, making the camp a cultural exchange as well as a bonding experience. I wholeheartedly recommend the Green Camp to families looking for a meaningful, educational, and fun retreat. It’s a rare chance to not only learn but also grow together while experiencing the incredible environment of Bali. Thank you, Green Camp team, for a truly magical experience!

This was a wonderful. Starting from the activities and fun stuff ending with new friends, this place was a blast! All of the activities have inspired me to work with nature and make a small impact because does not matter how small, an impact is already something enough to be considered as help to mother nature. All of the amazing people working here have made it as easy as it could be to learn and connect with nature. They are so nice and so wise. It is very pleasing to be in their camp and study nature. And remember, when people say “go touch grass” they mean come over here and see what nature is and how it works.

My son attended two camps over our holidays and loved them both. He learned so much about nature, sustainable living and made friends from around the world.

Good place for camp, good staff too

It was amazing experience with nature. Initially kids were worried about new environments but they quickly started enjoying activities. Everything is very organized and well considered activities, impressive environment. Thank you for the memorable days.
