Pretty tasty & flavourful. Rice - well-cooked basmati rice, just a little more flavour & fragrant would be perfect. Chicken - well-marinated & fried, tender & fresh, juicy & falls off the bone. Green chili - flavourful & complements the chicken well. Soup - self-help huge pot on display. Fair taste, a tad sweet for my liking. A little more flavour & provision of Chinese celery to enhance it would be a thumbs up. Overall, it’s a 4.5-star rating for the food quality & 5-star for the owner’s well-mannered & friendly attitude.

This not your stereotypical Singapore chicken rice, but rather soft marinated chicken (red chili sauce?), then served with a bright green chilli sauce. The rice, I believe, is basmati and cooked well. So the chicken is not crispy, or the very soft chicken of Hainese style chicken rice. And that's pretty much all they serve. The line is always long, as of 9.25, and the store, I believe, is only open three hours a day. It's inside an old style hawker center. Get there before Michelin does!

Chicken is crispy and the green chilli adds nice flavor. Rice is fragrant too! Very worth for its price too. Lucky we came around 11, the queue formed very quickly at 1130!

We frequently buy back a few packets of green chilli chicken rice and we love the food so much. But today (30/05/25), we were shocked to see that the usual whole chicken leg was missing, we only saw the tigh and drumstick was missing. So we checked all the 6 pkts we bought and all were the same. Even the rice portion was only half of the usual we used to eat We felt very disappointed, if cost increase, we don't mind to pay more but pls do not reduce the portion.. imagine after finishing the whole packet, we are still hungry😒

Been wanting to try this legendary chicken rice stall and managed to get the 2nd last serving of the day at 1230pm! Honestly the keropok tasted better than the chicken leh. 🐔 Chicken was of a rather generous portion the flavor is pretty good and healthy! Expected the green chilli to be more spicy like a Mexican jalapeño but thank goodness for the sambal on the side. The customers since 1999 can't be wrong to support this local business !
