Green Elephant Backpackers

I had a really good experience staying at Green Elephant Backpackers Hostel! The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making it easy to meet other travelers. The staff were helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas had a fun, social vibe. The location was great, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. They also organized fun activities, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a nice time here and would definitely recommend Green Elephant Backpackers to fellow travelers looking for a budget-friendly and lively place to stay!

Me and my wife felt very welcomed by the staff and are very grateful for the hints provided on this first trip to Cape Town, rather, South Africa as a whole. As travel agents, we have already been to other accommodations (Backpackers, Hotels, Guesthouses, etc) and the time we stayed was by far one of the smoothest and well guided stays we've in all our trips. Affordable, efficient and well located. Would definitely recommend.

Loved my stay at the green elephant backpackers! It was SO CLEAN and the beds were actually so comfortable (slept like a baby most of the nights). I stayed here for 2 weeks and everyone at the hostel became like my second family, next time I am in south Africa you know exactly where I will be staying. Plus its super close to the main street, cafes, bars, pubs and thrift shops!!!

I came here along with 10+ other students for a study abroad trip! The owners and staff are AMAZING and I will miss them dearly. They cooked us breakfast every morning, greeted us every chance they had, and did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable. The rooms and clean and comfy and the facilities are nice. It took me a while to figure out how to get the hot water (I promise there is hot water, you just have to turn the handle all the way to the right, wait for it to get hot, and then adjust the temp from here). The pool is super nice as well as the common areas. I had the best time here and you will too!! :)

It was a lovely place. The people were so welcoming to the point that it made me feel at home. The location is great, close to town and also close to the cape town city fc home, which means that I had to take a short walk to watch quality football.

I stayed in their shared room, unfortunately the house's design does not lend itself well to the bathroom setup that they have. The vibe here is electric, the foot traffic is constant - you can feel the pulse of the city bowl right behind you.

I stayed at Green Elephant back In 2017. It was a fantastic experience overall. The location is perfect as OBS is a nice, funky, and artsy neighbourhood. The staff and service were all excellent. I loved the house converted into rooms. I 100% Intend to stay here again when I am next in Cape town Allan Lamb

I stayed for 2 nights and the bed was very comfortable. The service from the staff was exceptional . I'm definitely visiting the place again❤️
