Green Elephant Backpackers

I came here along with 10+ other students for a study abroad trip! The owners and staff are AMAZING and I will miss them dearly. They cooked us breakfast every morning, greeted us every chance they had, and did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable. The rooms and clean and comfy and the facilities are nice. It took me a while to figure out how to get the hot water (I promise there is hot water, you just have to turn the handle all the way to the right, wait for it to get hot, and then adjust the temp from here). The pool is super nice as well as the common areas. I had the best time here and you will too!! :)

I stayed at Green Elephant back In 2017. It was a fantastic experience overall. The location is perfect as OBS is a nice, funky, and artsy neighbourhood. The staff and service were all excellent. I loved the house converted into rooms. I 100% Intend to stay here again when I am next in Cape town Allan Lamb

It is very good located with a warm and chill vibe, nice bar and beautiful pool. But the best, with no doubt is the staff. The will make you feel like at home Highly recommended for backpackers,

We were volunteer in Green Elephant during 1 month (helping in general maintenance), the staff was great. The guest house is very nice, as neighborhood was lively and pleasant.

I enjoyed staying at green elephant. Its real a nice chilling and safe space with a pool and very friendly the staff. You can meet lots of people there, locals and backpackers The hostel features a spacious kitchen with 4 fridges, and also a kind of a living space that offers free Wi-Fi and sufficient charging sockets for some 4 to 6 digital nomads at a huge table. There's also a fancy bar :)

Great place to be at. -If you are looking for place around Cape Town observatory but you are on low-budget, Greenelephant backpackers is the place I recommend. -The staff is very friendly and accommodative. -There is a mini bar for guests and a braai area. -The kitchen is self-catering , you meet a lot of people from different cultures. -Swimming pool? Love it

I had some my best time here stayed for 2.5 months enjoyed every second of it the owners pay full attention to every little detail for our comfort and the staff is literally the best ever the reception ladies and the cleaning ladies are the best people I have known ever literally made me feel home will always be grateful to them and surely will visit again
