We stayed at Green Grass Hotel and Restaurant for two days and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was quite good clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a nice place to relax after a long day. Each morning, we were served breakfast, which was included for both days. The food was quite good, though we noticed that the menu remained the same on both days. A bit more variety would have made the experience even better. One of the highlights of our stay was the location. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to get around and explore the area. In summary, it’s a good place for a short stay with decent food and a great location. We’d consider staying here again.

The location offers easy access, close to the railway station. No advance payment is required to book the room,they simply ask for confirmation before your arrival. The rooms are worth the price, clean and equipped with all necessary amenities. The girls at the reception are pleasant and the service is satisfactory. We ordered chicken rice, but it took about an hour to be delivered to the room. The rice was okay. The bathroom was clean, but there was a bad smell after the water drained into the pipes.

Large Group of us spent one night there for our Annual Gettogether. Place is ok near Railway station. Rooms not worth for the price. Need much renovations specially in bathrooms. Front desk Staff is not very friendly may be due to language barriers. Large crowd at bars every where and shouting. We booked a place for our gettogether and they promised rooftop first from 9pm to 12pm and when we visited there it was given. We were asked to stay some time and they will provide a restaurant space. but it never happened and our group was moving here and there till 10.30pm and they ruined our gettogether. Finally at 10.30 we were given a balcony space and they provided chairs. So finished it by 12MN as there were gest rooms around. only thing was the breakfast buffet was Ok but for hoppers had to wait in queues and stand near hopper place otherwise you won't get any though they promised to serve them on tables.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at this hotel for two nights! The rooms were not only beautiful but also impeccably clean, and having A/C and reliable hot water was definitely appreciated. What truly stood out was the fantastic range of food options available for lunch, breakfast, and dinner – every meal was a treat. The hotel boasts a wonderfully chilly and cozy environment, making it a perfect place to relax. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lovely swimming pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. A significant bonus was the free Wi-Fi, which was particularly useful given the somewhat spotty mobile data coverage in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. 😉

A beautiful pool to relax and a good location with a lot necessities around. First thing they asked was if we want a free upgrade of our rooms and to get it we should cancel our reservations on booking.com , but the rooms were all the same. To be honest all their rooms need renovations done because i changed rooms multiple time because of different issues. There are bugs crawling; mold on the wall and the AC leaking water. All the amenities they said that are provided on the booking website are a lie. When we asked to provide a hair dryer they were trying to figure out which room can they take it from to give it to us. Clearly not a safe stay if you are planning for multiple nights. Their deluxe rooms are NOT deluxe. Rooms did not have towels or any toiletries. Good thing I brought my own as a backup. There was a kettle but the outlet was burnt and no coffes cups. They only do basic cleaning of rooms only if you ask them to do. For the second day we booked snorkelling with the front desk lady and she said transportation is included but when the snorkeling service person came the hotel forgot or didn't book the transportation. When we asked about this at checkout, the lady was very ignorant and rude and didn't even have the courtesy to apologize for the confusion or give us an explanation. I am a person of srilankan background from canada but the staff in this establishment are more eager to serve 'foreigners' than the rest to the point even if we were there first, we were ignored. I do not recommend this hotel. Clearly it is not a 3 star or a 4 star hotel as they advertise on different platforms. Not worth the money spent. We had a really horrible experience with the rooms, the service and the staff.

I stayed at green grass jaffna recently and had a very disappointing experience. The AC in my room was leaking a huge amount of water directly onto the bag rack—right where my laptop was kept. Thankfully, it still works, but it could’ve been badly damaged.||This kind of issue is unacceptable, especially for a hotel at this price point. No guest should have to worry about their belongings getting soaked inside their room.||Also the bathrooms are not clean and the property surrounding looks like it haven’t been cleaned for a long time||I hope management takes this seriously and fixes it before it affects someone else.

Zero star I recently visited Jaffna and stayed at Green Grass Hotel, and it was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We had a pre-booking with an early check-in and a late checkout, but nothing was arranged properly. When we arrived around 5:30 PM after traveling from Colombo, we requested an early check-in, which was not arranged. They initially provided a family room for both families to share until they could arrange separate rooms, causing delays in our plans to visit Nallur Kovil for the 5:30 PM pooja. Even after they arranged the rooms, they were not clean, with dusty windows and unclean bed sheets. The bathroom had a foul odor, and the tap was broken. The hot water was inconsistent, sometimes working and sometimes not. For dinner, we had to bring food from outside, but they didn't provide plates until the day we checked out. Additionally, the area was not clean, and people were smoking around the balcony, making it uncomfortable for families. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Right from the moment we entered the room, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant smell. The bathrooms were not clean, and there were mosquitoes everywhere, making it hard to relax.||There was no lift available, which was highly inconvenient, especially since our group of three families was assigned rooms on different floors. This made coordination very difficult.||The worst part, however, was the customer service. The reception staff were extremely rude and unhelpful — probably the worst we’ve encountered in any hotel. Their attitude was unpleasant and unprofessional, which completely ruined the experience for us.||I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable or welcoming stay.
