Green Grass Hotel & Restaurant

Stayed 2 nights with 11 members in my family . We took the bread and breakfast option. Rooms were specious , clean and A/C , hot water was working perfectly . Breakfast was buffet type and there were plenty of authentic tamil food. Also, food was delicious . Located near to the station which is very convenient when traveling around city. Good value for money.

Looks like Hotel management is on the opinion that the reasonable pricing means offering badly maintained accommodation to customers. During our visit from 19th to 20th we occupied 03 double rooms and all of them had various issues. With tourism industry predicted to be very active in the Northern part of the country hope that the hotel management would look in to upgrading basic facilities. Suggest that one of their senior managers make a visit to each room to experience the issues 1st hand. Excellent food. Front office staff seems that they are not sure of what they are doing and rude.

I called today to make a reservation for ten people, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The person at the reception spoke to me in a very unpleasant and unprofessional manner. Her tone was rude, unfriendly, and completely lacking basic customer service. I did not appreciate her attitude at all. Because of the way she spoke to me, I had to end the call quickly and cancel the reservation. they should at least improve their staff’s manners and overall customer service standards. This is unacceptable for a hotel that claims to offer quality service.

Hotel Green Grass in Jaffna is conveniently located near the railway station, making it easy for travelers. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves tasty meals at reasonable prices, and there’s a nice garden area to relax. Overall, it’s a good place for a short stay in the city.

This is only a review of the restaurant. We had dinner there twice and breakfast once. It was great. The waiters were super friendly. We had the Jaffna crab curry and other curries and Lion stout! Everything was delicious. Our kids were happy to eat Western food. Would definitely go back.

We stayed at Green Grass Hotel and Restaurant for two days and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was quite good clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a nice place to relax after a long day. Each morning, we were served breakfast, which was included for both days. The food was quite good, though we noticed that the menu remained the same on both days. A bit more variety would have made the experience even better. One of the highlights of our stay was the location. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to get around and explore the area. In summary, it’s a good place for a short stay with decent food and a great location. We’d consider staying here again.

The location offers easy access, close to the railway station. No advance payment is required to book the room,they simply ask for confirmation before your arrival. The rooms are worth the price, clean and equipped with all necessary amenities. The girls at the reception are pleasant and the service is satisfactory. We ordered chicken rice, but it took about an hour to be delivered to the room. The rice was okay. The bathroom was clean, but there was a bad smell after the water drained into the pipes.

I ordered lamprais from Green Grace Hotel in Jaffna, and to my disappointment, I found a fly in the food while eating. This is a serious hygiene issue and completely unacceptable for any food establishment. I expected clean, quality food, but this experience was very upsetting.
