Food was good but service was horrendous. We ordered drinks that never came. The server was no where to be found. Every table around us was returning food because the orders were all wrong. Servers seemed clueless and had no idea what table ordered what food. Kitchen staff was the only ones that seemed to have it together. Such a shame since the food was good but the service made me not want to come back here again. They need to get their servers more organized. Then they charged us for the drinks we never got. Told the server he needed to remove them, he look confused and then got his manager to take care of it. She came back, apologized for the mistakes. He never came back to apologize even once. Server’s name was Eric D.

Tasty BBQ & sides. We stopped in here at a busy time during Euro 2024, so there were a lot of people yelling at the TV creating a very energetic atmosphere & tough for employees to maneuver around people standing in the way.

The pastrami sandwich is good, but I really miss the burrito that used to be on the menu. Last stop I got the lamb barbacoa taco. It was disappointing. The lamb was fine, but it was all I tasted. And it was a single giant taco, that was awkward and difficult to eat without making a mess. It should have been a burrito. I was sitting at the bar and the bartender took my plate but never asked if I wanted anything else or brought my check. I'm starting to wonder if it has new ownership. It seems to have really gone downhill recently.

Behold! The $28 taco! Sauce not included!!!! It was flavorful but dry, and was also one taco, for twenty eight dollars. Also the fries are practically inedible because the fryer oil is old. For the love of French fries Please get some fresh fryer oil.

The management has NO sympathy for patrons with food allergies. We made it specifically clear a member of our party's food allergy and asked for an item without the declared allergy. We received the item for takeout and later discovered the allergen clearly sitting on top of the food. After complaining about this mistake over the phone and waiting about 20 MINUTES on hold, they offered no apology. We were then told by the staff member that the person in charge was across the street at his other restaurant and we insisted to meet with him to discuss the situation and ask for our money back. We finally explain what happened to the 'person in charge' and he robotically just handed over our refund receipt with NO accountability or apology. Barely a word. How can you be on site and not engage with your customers about a potential serious health incident? After it was clearly discussed to one of your servers? You've lost many customers as we have deterred our friends and family, who live locally, from spending a penny at your restaurants (including the one across the street that we tracked you down at).

We felt like eating BBQ and decided to try this place out. We typically avoid majority of the restaurants on Front Street for a few reasons but they had a kids menu and outdoor seating. My husband tried this place one time before and he remembered it being okay. This time, it was the worst. We should have listened to the host when he suggested to sit in the dining area downstairs but we really wanted the balcony upstairs. There was seating there so that’s where we were taken. I was asking our waiter where he wants us to sit and he was just staring at us and mumbled something. Eventually I understood “anywhere”. Aside from us, there were two other tables up there so I assumed things would run smoothly. Nope. When we were placing our order, there was no response from the waiter. When it came to ordering the wings, we had NO clue what he was saying because he was talking to low. It was such an uncomfortable experience with him. We ordered two pastas for the kids, brisket, wings as a starter and then 3 adult entrees. We asked for plates when the appetizers came and the person handing it to us was just staring into a void. One of them almost fell. The brisket was soft but it lacked flavor. The wings were pretty good. They forgot one of the kids pasta and we asked for it again to only be looked at confused by the runner. Eventually we got it. My entree was the shrimp, cilantro rice, and the jalapeño cornbread. The shrimp sucked. There was a weird flavor and smell to them. The cilantro was ice was the best thing on the table so definitely get it. Everyone agreed. The cornbread tasted like regular corn bread. You didn’t get any hint of jalapeño or heat. They forgot the fries to my husband’s plate too. The cocktail drink was weak but good. When we asked for the check, the process was super slow and it wasn’t even busy. At this point, there were only two tables occupied. I took the kids and left to head to the carousel because they were growing bored. There are definitely other places where the quality of food is better and it’ll match the price.

Food was delicious. Be sure to ask for BBQ space on the side.

Yelp
Our server was attentive and the food was delicious overall. I thought the cilantro rice was mushy, though. I had the smoked chicken and it was delicious. We were four and so we ordered the large cornbread. While it was divine, we could have done with the small, as we ate too much of this sweet, sweet treat.

Yelp
Awesome local spot in GREENPOINT and center of town. We shared the ribs and chicken combo with fries, Mac and cheese, Brussel spiritus and corn bread. Everything was delicious and well cooked.

Yelp
Stopped in for a Sunday lunch what a great spot ! Brisket is delicious so was everything else we tried. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Good spot for bbq, mac and cheese and pork were great. Good for larger groups and families

Yelp
Friday at 11pm We were enticed by the sound of the band playing upstairs and decided to come for our night cap ( beers !! ). Great outdoors ( and indoors h area to watch , listen and dance to the band ! Didn't need much help as we only ordered one round of drink and can't comment on the food as we already had dinner coming here . I did notice a couple of people walking in eating their food ( bbq) and they seemed to be enjoying the food . The place is casual , lowkey and typical of a bbq place .

Yelp
Nice ambiance, even more delicious food. Everything was very flavorful. We had the hungry man special, it included turkey, brisket, sausage, smoked cheese, and some sides. The brisket was super tender and tasty. The sausage had nice spice to it. The homemade tortillas were a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed everything. The beer and wine selection are good. Our waitress was Sarah, she made excellent recommendations and she was very cool. We can't wait to go back.

Chloe S.

Yelp
Incredible!! Such a great ambiance, really friendly staff, and the food was really epic. We were hoping to watch the football game and not only did they put on the game we wanted, but they played it with the sound on which was amazing. I love BBQ and it's so hard to find great stuff in the northeast. Best things were: - Mac and cheese: could eat this for every meal, every day. Super cheesy, great breadcrumb top, amazing flavor - Pulled pork: incredibly tender and juicy, pairs perfectly with their homemade hot sauce - Cheddar jalapeño cornbread: honey butter, great texture - Brisket: just awesome I'm sure everything else on the menu is great too. Would come back anytime and hope to soon!

Yelp
Ate at Green Hill tonight for the second time. Last time I was there for lunch. I think this is a good lunch place. Dinner was good. I was excited about having some BBQ, and I was not disappointed. Great brisket and ribs. It's a good spot, but I think it could be perhaps resigned to Make it a bit more lively.

John A.

Yelp
Food is spectacular. Jonathan, our waiter, was very friendly and accommodating. Great place with nice ambiance/music. Large portions. We had the 1/2 and 1/2 booked as 1-2 people. Wet barely dented it. We ate here off season so it wasn't too crowded. Highly recommend. My wife's second time at Greenhill. We will be back.

Yelp
Best Bánh mì I've had in years! Reasonable prices by today's standards! Love the feel of this place!

Yelp
Had a great day at Green Hill Kitchen on 7/3. Great way to start the holiday weekend. Sara and Julian were fantastic, the food was terrific. I thoroughly enjoyed the burnt end brisket chili and the fries. I will see you soon, thank you! Cliff Kilkenny Gramercy Park West, NYC

Yelp
Expected a late night menu on a SATURDAY NIGHT as advertised on line! Late as in 9:15 while band was still playing !! Band was great , waitress was nice but there's always something negative with this joint. What a shame considering there's not much night life in Greenport.

Greg T.

Yelp
Food was great, staff was great, band was great. Great option in greenport. 3.5 stars isnt justice

Yelp
When my dad drove my brother and I to Greenport, our intention was to have a dockside meal at Claudia's. However, Claudia's was closed for the season. As we strolled Front Street we set eyes on a two story building that looked like it could have been a house back in the days when horses and buggies traveled along Front Street. This was Green Hill. And it seemed to be one of the few restaurants in Greenport Village that was open and served the food we like. When we walked inside, it reminded me of a bed and breakfast, bar, and restaurant. The same Greenport Village charm permeated this restaurant in the heart of its Main Street. During our Tuesday visit, Green Hill ran their 10% off special. It was on the sign outside the historic storefront and they mentioned it inside. The way that dining in works is that you order off the two page menu at the bar and pay there. They bring your food to the table. The people at the bar were personable. One of the men that work there told my brother and I that he had lived in Vegas, where we live now. This was obviously a barbecue joint and bar. The two page menu screams barbecue. And I think the pig statues also scream barbecue. Unlike many barbecue joints and bars, this place was brightly lit. The windows overlooking Front Street and First Street brought in the rays of sunshine. Now it was time for some sunshine on my plate. I settled on the brisket sandwich with fries. It cost $19 plus tax. Regardless that they sell alcohol and Boylon sodas, I ordered a Coke. We sat at a table overlooking First Street. Underneath the view was an outlet to charge my smartphone. From the table we got a grand view of the bar and the people flowing into the place. There seemed to be a lot of tourists. I don't think locals would be taking pictures of the pink pig statue by the entrance. It would be the view on the table that would be utmost important. That was the brisket sandwich with fries served on a tray. The brisket topped with Carolina Red between potato buns tasted really good. It had some flavor without the stickiness. The French fries were also really good. With many of the restaurants that serve cuisine that the three of us like closed for the season in Greenport Village, it was a pleasure to have lunch in a local barbecue joint while enjoying the charming atmosphere. On account of the fact that Green Hill is a pretty good restaurant with a charming atmosphere that stays open through the slow season, I round up my rating from 3.5 to 4 Stars.

Yelp
What a nice surprise that I came on a random weekday to find this nice barbecue restaurant open and serving delicious food. The barbecue sandwich with a side of rice and beans was one of the best I have tasted! Go give it a try.

Yelp
This review is for the bar only. Sarah the bartender made a gloomy afternoon quite pleasant for my wife and I with an easy smile and delicious cocktails! Sex in the Village was our favorite and one of the best cocktails we've had anywhere! And we have lots...

Yelp
We went out to greenport camping. My wife keeps kosher so finding BBQ is not an easy task. We saw the menu and she was so excited that they had Jackfruit and vegan collard greens. Collard greens almost always are cooked with meat. I ordered the pulled pork, we got a side of beans, and fries as well and started with the fried cauliflower. The cauliflower was the best part. Fried, but not greasy, and a nice dipping sauce. The pulled pork was OK. Vinegary but not overpowering. The well done parts weren't crunchy. It was nothing to write home about. My wife didn't like the jackfruit but I don't know if that had anything to do with the preparation or she just doesn't like jackfruit. Won't know until we have it again. The fries were decent. The collard greens were relatively tasteless. The beans were ok. Sauce has a nice kick. Due to COVID, we ordered at the counter and then they brought to out to our table. There was no bread unless you asked so ask. Sorry to say there were only 3 tables total but it was a Wednesday night so hopefully they are busier on a weekend. Even though it wasn't my favorite BBQ experience, I would try it again because we like to support local businesses. Maybe this was just for to the pandemic. Willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to go into town for brunch so we decided to check this place out since we could both smell how amazing the bbq smell was from just the outside. We went in and the place had a really cool vibe to it. There were guitars hanging from the walls, had a bit of a tropical type feel with some green palm tree plants near the bar. The place was a decent size restaurant. We had our meal downstairs in the dining room. There is a big room upstairs with a big tent like roof on top. The breakfast menu was rather small but just enough since it was mostly sandwiches and sides. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast sandwich that had an egg white, Gruyère cheese, brisket on a toasted bun. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese. Both sandwiches came with home fries. The platters were small but we were both pretty satisfied after we ate. The service was quick and efficient! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Greenport!

Yelp
Sarah greeted us at the door after following our nose into the place we were welcomed warmly Marisol (?) the cook had some yummy going on we tried the roasted corn side as an app perfect! food was delicious we did not leave a scrap a great experience on this late autumn friday lunch a fun menu and great service!

Yelp
I tried some vegan/vegetarian choices at Green Hill Kitchen & Cue last night. I ordered cauliflower nuggets with garlic ranch as an appetizer. Cute idea, but slightly bland for my taste. For my main course, I ordered a half order of pulled eggplant and shrooms. This is vegan: very different and very tasty. It came with jalapeños on top which I took off before I took the picture. My son had the mac and cheese and liked it very much. My husband enjoyed the house smoked sausage. We also ordered the cornbread, but it was kind of dry. The butter that comes with it is really sweet and tasty though - I think I tasted orange in it. Nice that a bbq place has some vegan and vegetarian items on the menu.

Yelp
My family went there for dinner Saturday night. We wanted to write a review to highlight the amazing service we received from their manager, Sarah. My husband and I, being in the restaurant business, were extremely impressed with how she effortlessly she juggled bar tending, busing tables, taking orders, answering the phones, greeting guests at the door and seating large parties... all while remaining cool, friendly and completely in control. WOW! We were actually hesitant about eating BBQ that night, and if it wasn't for her we would have left. But her description of the menu and her passion to serve us and make us comfortable drew us in. Great job Sarah!! GreenHill should be grateful they have such a dedicated worker! Give her a raise!!!

Lindsey S.

Yelp
Honestly, we were so excited to try this spot after so many years of being out here. Unfortunately the food had mediocre flavor. The wait staff was incredible, super nice. I wish the bbq had more flavor and very surprised they didn't have their own signature sauces. It was odd to have ketchup on the table but no bbq sauce? We will probably try it again some time in the future, but it was not as great as we had hoped.

Chris M.

Yelp
Once again they did NOT disappoint. DAD and I shared a Father's Day meal as a two top. Great, fast, friendly service. We had ribs, wings, beans and brussels. Everything was served fast, hot , plentiful and delicious. Looking forward to coming back, no occasion needed. Enjoy!

Dennis G.

Yelp
The BBQ is amazing and the Staff and Live Tuesday Jazz are awesome. The best ribs and collard greens I have ever had. Thank you Jason and the entire staff for an excellent BBQ experience. We had a smokey blast -Cheers

Brenda F.

Yelp
As we were wandering around greenport today, I asked my husband to pick a lunch spot. He picked this bbq joint, and I was hesitant as I had no desire for bbq food. But, because it was his birthday week I agreed. To my surprise we had such a delicious lunch. Due to Covid you order and pay at the register, you take a number and they bring everything to your table in a take out bag and containers. Service is still great though. We ordered the most delicious pork sliders and salad. I will absolutely be coming back here when I'm in the area. Such a cute place with great food!

Michelle R.

Yelp
Have somehow ending up eating at Green Hill *three* times this month. The food overall is really solid. Some favorites: Wings - They are apparently smoked and then grilled- super flavorful. Smoked turkey breast - I don't know if I've ever actually had smoked turkey breast before, but this stuff is great. I think someone else below said it was dry, but when is turkey not sort of dry? Ribs - I am not a barbecue expert and don't know exactly what "style" the pit master here is practicing, but these are so good. Not too wet, not too dry, not too spicy, not too sweet. Shrimp and grits - The shrimp are smoky and grilled, which really makes this dish special. And the grits are not overly greasy. Collard greens and broccoli - got these more than once. They're perfectly done- cooked enough but not so much that they are unrecognizable as vegetables, and not too buttery. However, one day when I didn't feel like having meat, I got the jackfruit, which... was a mistake on my part. I had forgotten how generally disappointing jackfruit is. They definitely do their best to make it palatable, but jackfruit just has a taste and texture only a vegan could love. Although full table service is suspended right now, the staff here are welcoming and accommodating. And unlike most places in town, this one is open seven days a week.

Kristin Z.

Yelp
We'd probably this place out again post-COVID just on the merits of the ambiance and friendly staff but this won't be a stellar review. Due to COVID, you order at the counter, seat yourself, and they bring your meal to your table. No big deal. Restrooms were clean. Unfortunately for this review, both J and I got pulled pork. It was just okay. It was tender enough but lacked any real flavor. I got the pulled pork sliders and my meat wasn't even hot and the Hawaiian rolls were soggy due to the watery slaw. The slaw was ( I guess) vinegar-based and was also lackluster. The fries, however, were crisp and warm. We both got tap water because we're trying to stray from soda for the time being. His glass and water smelled fine. Mine smelled distinctly fishy. I'm not picky...like, at all, so I drank it. But the smell was definitely off-putting and I probably should have requested a different glass (couldn't have been the water since his water was fine). $24.99 for literally a bowl of pulled pork, two hawaiian rolls with meat on them and a handful of fries, and two tap waters. Actually....maybe we won't be back...

Yelp
A really strong 4, closer to 4.5. Walking around downtown Greenport, Green Hill Kitchen's second floor balcony caught my eye, the menu looked good so I was sold. The restaurant has a lovely vibe; modern, spacious and welcoming. We sat outside on the second floor and it was lovely. Inside there was some live music that was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations and providing some background on the chef (who btw earned a Michelin star back in 2014). We started out with the squid; a cold dish served with a red pepper dashi, shishito peppers and mustard greens. The squid was incredibly tender and the whole dish was unique that kept you wanting more. Since the chef is Austrian we went with the traditional Austrian dishes. The Kase Spatzle was like a veggie filled mac and cheese. The spatzle were so light and tender and the corn and zucchini provided a perfect texture contrast to the dish. It was comforting and scrumptious. The Weiner Schnitzel was spectacular. Thin veal cutlets that melted in your mouth and the coating was light and crispy. Served along side some wonderful pickled cucumber salad, potato salad and some berry compote. The flavors melded so well together; it was the best version I've ever had. Dessert was a traditional Austrian dish called Kaiserschmarrn; pieces of a pancake like batter that was caramelized via flambe and served with a plum compote. It was quite tasty and not too sweet. The coffee had a good flavor, but could have been served at a hotter temperature. Ingredients are locally sourced where they can be and it shows through the food. GHK has only been opened a short time, but I believe they are on there way to becoming a staple in Greenport.

J M.

Yelp
Friendly competent staff serving kick-ass food! I LOVE a place that does veggies as well as they do meats! (Cole slaw, collards with our pastrami and pulled pork, all great!). Sorry so concise, typing on a phone is my least favorite thing to do.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
The people were so nice here. The food LOOKED great but on flavor it left something to be desired. The meat on both sandwiches (Turkey and Brisket) was super tender and looked amazing but sadly neither sandwich had much flavor at all. The same can be said for the coleslaw- it didn't really have any flavor. Overall great staff and a clean socially distant experience but we hope they kick it up a notch with seasoning so their amazing bbq meats can shine!

Deb W.

Yelp
We left the fancy restaurant across the street bc the service was so horrible and the apps were disappointing, so we figured we'd give Green Hill a try. Before we even sat down at the bar the bartender had 4 glasses of ice water at our seats. He was honestly one of the best bartenders I've ever had. Super nice and very attentive. He never stopped helping people but also made you feel welcome while he worked. The food did take over an hour even to get our wings - they really need to stop doing take out during busy times - but the bartender was so great and everyone in the place was working hard that we couldn't be upset. The good part is that the food was very good.

Melissa P.

Yelp
Great spot! Went for my mom's birthday brunch since we were visiting the area. When walking on Front Street we entered many locations, all's it's a limited menu selection. Green hill kitchen was the only restaurant that had the perfect ambiance we were looking for: welcoming service, cozy yet modern feel, great lighting. My mom had the lamb and I got the macaroni (pictured) both very flavorful. I also love the choice of organic and healthy options. The upstairs patio is a beautiful indoor garden, great for photos. Would love to go back for one of the open mic nights.

Todd C.

Yelp
Best BBQ I've had in the entire East End. Collard greens are superb. BBQ Breakfast is beyond compare.

Schein P.

Yelp
I was skeptical of ordering a loster roll at a bbq place. But I was not disappointed! The franch fries and coleslaw were excellant sides. Hubby savoured his ribs. The Greenport Harbour Ale was a great choice to accompany my lobster roll. It was a very Happy fourth of July!

Heather B.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Came here with a larger group and everyone left happy. The menu selection was great. The waiter was very nice and he recommended a freshly smoked pork loin and it was absolutely delicious! It was juicy and flavorful! The drinks were delicious as well. If you love bbq, you can't go wrong with eating here!

Karl S.

Yelp
I know why all the other eateries in Greenport were busy this Sunday morning except this place . My daughter and I got the 18$ French toast . My daughter didn't even eat hers it was so bad . Server never came back to ask how thing were . Would never return .

Alicia C.

Yelp
Loved it! We took the trip out on the off season. One of the few restaurants open during the winter and we were so happy to stumble upon Green Hill. Our bartender Sercan was so sweet, friendly and gave us all the to know. The theme was warm and welcoming. The brisket was DELICIOUS. We also had the mac n cheese, collared greens, slaw and fries. Perfect portions. Can't wait to come back when the live music is upstairs! A must see!

Wendy A.

Yelp
2nd time eating here recently. Chicken sandwich is delicious and the best French fries. All the food looked so good. Drinks were very good. Love the pleasant and casual ambiance. Great decor. Restaurant is clean. Prices are very fair. Staff was very attentive even though they seemed short staffed. We did not wait at all to order( server had to wait for us to decide) and food came quick. I would give 5 extra stars to the staff for working so hard, they were constantly moving and still friendly. Next time we will stay for the band - such a great place !

Jessica C.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. We came on a fluke because we were hungry and walking Main Street looking for something to eat and smell of barbecue is what drew us in. You order takeout style and we ordered ribs and brisket with a side of macaroni and cheese. The brisket and ribs were the best barbecue I've had in New York! They were so flavorful and tender we ended up ordering more to take home with us for our families. We will definitely be coming back here everytime we are in Greenport even if its just to order something to go!

Alec B.

Yelp
Great smash burger, double paddy with bacon is the way to go here. Fries are hot, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. My dad got the half pound brisket and demolished it, and to my surprise was full afterwards. My server Mary was super nice and helpful as well. Definitely coming back for drinks for live music on Friday night.

Maria P.

Yelp
Great food, very large portions. I ordered the brisket sandwich and a side of collard greens. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. We also split a huge order of onion rings, which were gigantic. Definitely recommend.

Lulu P.

Yelp
If they made just a couple of simple changes this place would be a 10/10 and have a line around the block. We live locally and always WANT so badly to order from Green Hill, but we avoid it because it doesn't always hit the spot. When I think of BBQ, I think of comfort food, soul food, ... familiar food with rich and creamy flavors... Green Hill is so close to perfection but has room to grow. 1. Ambiance/decor - 10/10 2. Events and live music -10/10 3. Staff/customer services- 10/10 4. Drink selection- 10/10 5. Selection of meats- 7.5/10 (delicious smokey flavors. I like that they do not smother their meats in BBQ sauce but I do think BBQ sauce should come on the side) 6. Burgers- 10/10 7. BBQ sauce - 0/10 (as the meats are dry and smokey, they desperately need a selection of at least two signature bbq sauces that COME WITH all meals) 8. Cornbread- 0/10 (cheddar jalapeno cornbread is dry and flavorless. We just need some good old-fashioned sweet and moist cornbread!) 9. Macaroni and cheese- 0/10 (flavorless, not creamy or cheesy, the recipe does not seem consistent) 10. Beans- 7/10 (their smokey black beans with chunks of meat is very good; however, with a plate of smokey BBQ meat already being the star of the show... I wish they also had sweeter baked beans as a side) 10. Cole slaw- 0/10 (with a plate of heavy foods, the meal desperately needs a side of freshness. Their slaw is on the sour side and doesn't come with all meals. Wish it was crisp, sweet, and creamy) 11. They need another fresh and crip side, like grilled corn. Overall it's a great restaurant. Looking forward to trying their sandwiches and bites next time.

Marie S.

Yelp
Very nice staff courteous an yummy food we had smash burger an fries bbq was good an Smokey if that's your thing def try it!

Cristina A.

Yelp
Super cool bbq joint ! Killed the ribs and the jalapeño cornbread! The ribs were just smoked right. Juicy! The cornbread came with this cheesy buttery spread that was unique. Loved the vibe of this place..

Resa C.

Yelp
Wanted to stop in and have a drink or maybe an app a few weeks ago and what a drag. No drinks without food- I get it the COVID rules. BUT they make you order at the counter and then sit at your table where they bring you everything plastic and in to go containers like you are hitting the streets. It's awkward and the server that brings your wings and beers doesn't see if you would like anything else so we left. Just not enjoyable at all the way it's set up. Sorry.

Karen B.

Yelp
Excellent music by Fuhr and Roth guitar duo, but food was HORRIBLE: Heavy Horseradish in coleslaw, dried out beef brisket, etc. And after the live performance, the music was BLASTED over the speakers to get remaining dinner guests to leave early! Would not go back there.

Debra T.

Yelp
We were actually headed to a different restaurant but the smell of the BBQ oozing onto the street, made us turn tail and dive in. Seated in a booth promptly we were greeted by the server. She was very courteous and took our order without a hitch. We asked for water and we're brought a water flask and two glasses all at room temperature(which I don't mind but Captain hates). We requested a glass of ice. Perfect. We ordered the meal for two with the beans and collards. It was served hot and we did have a bit of a wait but as long as it's hot and good, we'll wait! The chicken was tender and flavorful and the brisket was tender but pretty bland. The pulled pork was a bit dry but had good flavor. The collards had great flavor but.... Were sandy/gritty which tells us they weren't washed properly ugh! The beans were different but good... Captain loved them and the corn bread. Overall it was good BBQ... not great. Could be soooo much better!!! But maybe it's covid. Seems to be everyone's excuse these days ... am I right!?!!

Yelp
Very rude staff! It was my first and last time at the restaurant. Mary who I believe is the manger was yelling and screaming disrupting my family dinner. Not to mention the people she was yelling at looked like teenagers. Very unprofessional!!

Yelp
I came here for brunch on a Saturday morning in July shortly after they opened (at 11) with a group of 5 without reservations, when no other place in town would take us (Bruce & Son said they were booked for the *entire day*; Crazy Beans had a 45 minute wait!). But the dining room at Green Hill Kitchen was mostly empty. We each ordered the same thing: an omelette ($12) with fresh cheese and asparagus, served with breakfast potatoes. It was good, though not special enough that I'd want to make a trip back. We also had some mimosas (delicious, and mostly champagne; $9) and cold-pressed juices (also $9 - I am not someone who buys $9 juice on the regular, so that seemed a bit absurd to me, but I enjoyed it; hey, it's vacation.) The service was pretty fast, if a tad abrupt and discombobulated at points. They're gluten-free friendly, and my sister who has celiac was able to eat here safely (she had the omelette, too!) If you're in a pinch for a weekend brunch in the summer, check it out.
