Google
The revitalized Green Lake Pitch and Putt is so fun! This is a great spot to learn how to golf, or just spend a fun time with some friends enjoying the area. Every hole is under 100 yards, so it's the perfect opportunity to work on those approach shots that you never practice. The new operators are clearly working hard to get the course back into good shape. Played it today for the first time, and it certainly won't be the last time ⛳

Melissa Hillier

Google
Cute little course! We had a lot of fun playing 9 holes today. The little club house has been completely renovated and is super cute. The course seems to be undergoing some TLC after the change in operators (read - likely neglected during the transition) but for $14 it was a solid hour + of fun in the sun 🌞

I LOVE coming out here! As a fan of beautiful spaces, this is my bread and butter. There’s so many trees, flowers and the green grass literally glows on a sunny day. This is a great space to come bring friends, hang out, enjoy nature and hit some golf balls. I’m not headed for the PGA anytime soon but there’s tons of learning opportunities here and really gets people into golfing that may not have before. I used to see golf as a boys club that seemed so unattainable but here it’s so inviting and fun.

Jacob Fullerton

Google
Course is under new ownership this year and they have both raised their prices and completely stopped caring for the greens. It’s crazy to pay 50% more than last year for greens that are basically unplayable. Tons of sand and massive chunks taken out of every green.

Green Lake Pitch & Putt holds a special place in my heart. It was here that I first picked up a golf club. A friend and their father invited me to join them for a round, and from that moment, I was hooked. This course is everything right about golf—inviting, inclusive, and accessible. Nestled next to Seattle landmark Green Lake, the course is a gem for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The simple layout has several old-growth trees adding to its charm and challenge. These majestic trees not only provide a beautiful backdrop but also make each hole unique and memorable. What sets Green Lake Pitch & Putt apart is its welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a novice or a pro, you’ll feel right at home. The staff is friendly, and there is a great community vibe. It’s a place where you can enjoy a casual round with friends or work on your short game in a relaxed setting. If you are short on time, pay attention to the time of day/week…it can be pretty busy, as it was when I visited in June with some family. Green Lake Pitch & Putt continues to be a favorite spot for a quick, enjoyable round when I’m in town. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend trying it.

Google
If you’re looking for a casual golf spot with family/friends or kids, this is perfect. It’s a short Par 3 course that is welcoming to everyone. The vibe here is casual, fun, and easy going. It might not be what a serious golfer is looking for but that’s okay. With that being said the grounds aren’t in great condition as of April 2025, part of the reason is because ownership changed over the winter and they only recently got access. Hopefully it will be improved as the season progresses, and if it does easily 5 stars! Overall, this is a Seattle staple. It’s a fun, cheap, casual 9 holes that most locals have fond memories of because of its charm. But if that’s not what you’re looking for, I would check out Seattle’s public courses.

Google
Great location and the new owners have done a great job redoing the “pro shop” and “tee boxes”! Unfortunately the course has gone down and the price has skyrocketed. The course is ascetically pleasing but no time was put into greens itself. Yes, greens are tough in Seattle but do better. They were out of scorecards unless you downloaded the app. Killer vibes, social golf and location but it wouldn’t hurt to put some money into the course now

Google
As a casual golfing experience this course is great. Very nice scenery, a great way to spend an hour when the summer weather comes around. That being said, if you're interested in the golf rather than just recreation, the course leaves a lot to be desired. First, it's about twice as expensive to play here as compared to similar executive courses at the local municipal golf clubs. Second, the greens are in really bad shape. There are big patches where it looks like someone took a divot with their iron off the green. The condition pretty much makes it impossible to judge where to roll a long putt. The location of this course is a bonus, but if you're after a cheap and well maintained par-3 I would recommend Jackson Park or Interbay over this.

Yelp
We love Greenlake Pitch and Putt! For $7 a round, you can't go wrong. The course is squeezed into a small space, but quite functional. I'm not a very good golfer, so Pitch and Putt is a perfect course to learn and take my time. It's really enjoyable, but can often be packed. Leave your driver at home, though. None are allowed.

Yelp
Adding a response to the owner's comment: The first THREE tee boxes are NOT in the same position they used to be AND regardless, they are not even angled towards the holes, anyone can see this. The first has been moved by a LOT & the 2nd by multiple feet to the left (impeding left handed teeing), and then the third also slightly to the left. The 9th tee box has also been moved by multiple feet to the left, towards the fence line, seemingly prioritizing a cart path for the owner's work cart. The current owner may not have played at the old pitch & putt enough to realize these changes are in fact CHANGES, but they should be able to open their eyes and realize their new maintenance crew isn't lining up the box to the hole. Also, anyone with eyeballs can see where the old tee boxes were, compared to where they are now. Stop trying to gaslight me. The placement of the rubber tee being on either side of center hole in the mat is NOT standard. Why is there a center hole if it's not going to be able to be used? At the driving range the center hole is used too....I have a relatively narrow stance & straight hips - I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't, because they're going to be falling off the mat. Nice job blaming your problems on the previous owners. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This 3 par golf "course" has new ownership as of 2025 (due to some incompetent person at the city). The course condition was atrocious & it's only May. The first three tee "boxes" are not even slanted towards the holes. The person who positioned these tee boxes must not even play golf. On hole two a left hander wouldn't even be able to tee off without immediately hitting into the trees that line the edge of the golf course. These "new" tee boxes are literally just mounds of uneven dirt with a slab of fake grass NAILED down on the 4 corners. These mounds are not level & they don't seem to have pounded crushed rock beneath the surface, so I can't imagine them not washing away every winter. The nails that held down the tee box are 8" long and on one hole the nail had come out of the ground and was sticking up for anyone to severely impale themselves on it. The rubber tees that are used with the mats are put on either the left or right, not in the center hole?! Again, whoever put this set up together must not play golf. You are practically standing on the very tip of/ edge of the mat when teeing off, instead of being able to center yourself because they positioned the rubber tees incorrectly. Anyone that is larger or has a wider stance, or more curvy hips will have a problem. The greens....OMG. WTF happened?! They look horrific & are in REALLY bad shape. The worst greens I've ever seen, anywhere, even comparing to miniature golf courses. It's an embarrassment. Before you play they make you sign a waiver releasing liability for their negligence - luckily these sorts of waivers often don't hold up in court when/if someone gets hurt by their negligence. Watch out for those 8" metal NAILS on every tee box. The pricing went up. The person who took our money is in no way shape or form a part of the maintenance squad and had no clue what I was talking about when I first explained my complaints. Don't you want someone who knows about golf to take the money & be able to fix things like loose 8" nails??! Why oh why did the city change ownership??

Michael R.

Yelp
This place has new owners. They have quad tracks around the perimeter creating mud. The greens have huge divots. It seems the upkeep is not kept up between the transition. It looks like it needs a couple years before it comes back to playable conditions. It is still a great spot and I wouldn't scrap it for anything

Sean K.

Yelp
Love this little par 3 in the city. The staff is great and I hope they maintain ownership for years to come!

Yelp
Loved it! Great for newbies who have never played actual golf. It took us about an hour to play 9 holes with 1 iron and 1 putter.

Kevin P.

Yelp
For the price, you can't beat it! Family friendly, beginner friendly, great location, and real grass greens with turn tee boxes. Perfect place for seasoned golfers to work on short game and for beginners to learn the game! Having played here countless times, my only recommendation would be for the course to provide a general overview of basic golf etiquette and rules. I think a little could go a long way.

Lindsey D.

Yelp
Had a blast with my kiddos. It was there first time. Recommend bringing water. It got hot out there.

Yelp
It's a nice to practice on a beautiful course and see the green scenery. Very family oriented! Nice to play by yourself or join others. Love the putting green to practice! Cute and cozy! Come try and see what I mean!

Yelp
Exactly what it says! Great golf course to take the grandkids. Love this place. Absinytekt must call for appointments but very easy to get a tee time.

Suzanne P.

Yelp
My son and I spent an afternoon golfing the 9 holes. Staff was friendly and helpful and you can't beat this beautiful location for some fun!

Matthew M.

Yelp
A really cool idea with short yardage holes to have some fun with friends or just work on your awkward distance/ wedge game!

Yelp
Come here 2-3 times per summer and love it. Came out last night for the first time. It was much busier than expected which makes sense, people want to be outside. They have balls, clubs, tees if you want them - everything you need. Two of us played for $25 with renting everything which felt like a steal. Such a fun, casual course that's great for beginners and even experts to have a good time. Will continue to go here for sure.

Gannon M.

Yelp
Great time at GLPP! Friendly staff, clean course, nice greens, lots of fun! Ranks high on the "what are we going to do to today?" list.

Jordyn D.

Yelp
So much fun. If there aren't a ton of people, you can go at your own pace. It's a cute little area to walk around. There are also picnic tables near the entrance if you'd like to bring your own food.

Yelp
I think that people are too quick too dismiss this great little pitch and putt golf course. Though this 9-hole/par-3 course measures 705 yards (longest hole is 115 yards), Greenlake Pitch and Putt offers a good challenge on working on your short game. Plus it is a lot of fun to play! So grab your clubs, flask (I'm a hacker), buddies, some betting cash and have a great time! For those who like to keep score, the course record is 20. --OW!!! _____ I said fore, bitch! Yelp
It's little. It's cute. It is between busy streets. it borders Greenlake. I have had fun here. It is not for serious golfers or golf snobs.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places in Seattle! It's such a fantastic spot to go with your friends or out of town visitors to enjoy the sun and each other's company. It only takes a couple hours to get through so it's a perfect interlude between brunch and early happy hour on a lazy Sunday. We love to come with a bag full of PBRs and make our way from the 1st to 9th laughing and pretending to keep score. Highly suggest it for a 1st or 501st date, a fun girls day or even an afternoon solo putt.

Yelp
Fun and cheap - a true "Pitch and Putt"! Golf snobs - run away now! People looking for fun or are just learning, this is the perfect place. A true pitch & putt (holes range from 65 to 105 yards), this is a place to learn to play, to practice your short game, or just goof around. You don't even need to bring anything, you can buy balls, and rents clubs (really, you need just a putter and 1 or 2 wedges). On summer days, or after school on nice days, it gets packed with teenagers, so watch out. The waits can be a bit long. But if you have the day off, head over in the morning and have a fun 18 holes in 45 minutes. FUN!

Dean J.

Yelp
Yes indeed. A lifetime golfer here and this tricky little course will test your short game totally. If you can master this course then you are truly on your way to some good things to come. Can you par each hole? Your on your way for sure. Anyone can drive the long-ball with the driver, but this course is where you will really learn to win. Thank You Dean Jackson

Yelp
Pitch and putt, and duck!! Mostly newbies and kids on this little postage stamp size greenery next to Greenlake. I should have gone here first as a newbie golfer, but oooooh noooo, my buds had to take me out to a "real" golf course first! Why I still play I have no idea. For the price, which is cheap you, get to hit the ball off of real grass, for the most part. "Real" golfers need not apply, first-timers and just beginners only please.... 4 stars for the grass!

Yelp
I had a great time with my friend here on a sunny Seattle day. Armed with a sixer of tall boys, a pitching wedge, and a putter we successfully navigated the course with a mild sense of victory. If only we'd brought more beer. There may be a bit of a wait when starting out... so practice your putting on the green. All the other would be golfers on the course were super nice, but not always the most astute. As in watch out for golf balls accidentally ripping through the tree you're putting under.

Yelp
Best place to just come and be with friends. People who work here are incredibly kind and helpful. Love spending summer evenings here with friends. Not pretentious and pretty low key
google avatar

Tristan H.

Yelp
Awesome small course that we had a great first tine golfing at. Very affordable with super friendly staff, a run + equipment rental was close to $12 total. Went on a Saturday so we had to wait a bit inbetween holes but it wasn't bad at all, weekdays must be very solid. Highly recommended all around.

Yelp
Like Michelle, I have no patience. I can probably make it 4 or 5 holes in, but you have to bribe me with the promise of ice cream to get me to finish the game. If you're slow (like me), it's sometimes a bit embarrassing when there's two good players waiting behind you, and you mulligan. But it's a cheap and fun way to spend the afternoon. There's even a putt-putt area for you to practice...what else, putt-putting.

Amy B.

Yelp
Great place to pretend you know how to golf! You can BYOB (bring only cans and a backpack) and don't let the golfer bros intimidate you. Really fun to do with a group of 5 or less, only $11 total including rentals and a ball (bring your own golf ball and you don't have to buy one!)

A S.

Yelp
Fun, unpretentious place to relax with friends in a low key, outdoors-but-not-intense kind of way. Looking forward to spending some more summer evenings here this season.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
How did I never know there was a chip and putt course here until last summer? This is such a great and cheap way to enjoy being outside - only 7$ for a round!! They do a good job with the upkeep on the off season - it can be a little muddy in spring, but really not bad at all. If the sun is out - grab your pitching wedge, putter and a ball and head out there, too fun to miss out on!

Yelp
Great course, really well maintained. We walked down from Phinney Ridge. It cost $20 for two for clubs and balls. Nice picnic benches near the practice putting green. I'll be coming back.

Jen S.

Yelp
This is a great course in a lovely location. I've golfed here a few times and always had a pleasant experience until my most recent visit. The employee we checked in with seemed mildly disgruntled that we showed up for the final tee-off time of the evening, but he allowed us to play and did not mention any time limits. Two more members of our group showed up late and were not allowed to play, but were allowed to walk around the course with us. We are beginners, so the game progressed slowly, but we moved along as best we could. Midway through the game, the employee stormed over to us, after spotting the late arriving member of the group holding a club. He angrily accused him of joining the game without permission, and when we calmly explained that he was just holding our clubs, the employee mocked our response and rolled his eyes. Then he equated our slow speed to "coming to a restaurant at closing time and taking a really long time to eat". He told us we were being rude, and loudly demanded that we "keep it moving". The interaction really shook us up. This employee was aggressive and we felt threatened. For the remainder of the game, he stayed a couple holes behind us, golfing with two friends who were smoking cigarettes and appeared to be drinking alcohol on the course. We felt we were being watched. The whole experience was bizarre, demoralizing, and a little scary. I hope management will help resolve the issue with this hostile employee.

Yelp
Very short Par3. Flat. Easy to find your kid's ball when it's hit off into the trees. Good price. Never really a wait.

Yelp
A-OK. Staff is a little on the twighlight zone but otherwise its OK. I think I'll try a driving range next time.
google avatar

Ronnie R.

Yelp
Most fun for the money. I love coming here to polish my game. The customer services is exception and their conservation efforts in Washington's severe drought is commendable.

Chris P.

Yelp
This short course is a great little neighborhood gem. Well maintained and fun greens to practice chipping and putting. You only need a 9-iron and a putter!

Miroslav S.

Yelp
Unless, new ownership has taken over, this course should only be played if you're just learning how to play golf. Weeds on the greens, uneven cuts on the green, driving mats are buckled and really bad on certain holes with severe water damage. A good place to catch malaria during the spring and torrential down pour of rain. No such thing as irrigation at this course. The clubs you rent are atrocious, so bring your own or borrow some to play this course.
