Title: Disappointing Experience – Be Cautious About Hidden Charges and Misleading Information
I recently stayed at Chitwan Green Park Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Despite the hotel’s appealing appearance and seemingly good reviews, there were several serious issues that completely overshadowed my stay.
Misleading Pricing and Overcharging:
Before checking in, I called the front desk to confirm the price. We agreed on a specific rate, which I confirmed clearly over the phone. However, when it was time to check out, I was shocked to find the price had changed. The final bill was significantly higher than what was agreed upon. When I brought this up with the staff, they were evasive and offered no reasonable explanation. This kind of behavior felt dishonest and manipulative.
Additionally, we ordered food during our stay, and again, the pricing on the bill did not match the menu prices or what we were initially told. We were overcharged, and the staff was unhelpful when we questioned it. This felt like a pattern, not just a mistake. It’s important to be very cautious here — always get everything in writing and double-check every bill.
Room Cleanliness and Comfort:
At first glance, the rooms appeared clean, but once we settled in, we noticed several cockroaches. This was extremely off-putting and unacceptable for a hotel that markets itself as a high-standard establishment. Furthermore, the bed was quite uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. For the price they charge, you would expect basic cleanliness and comfort — sadly, both were lacking.
Food Quality:
The food was another major letdown. It was bland and lacked any real flavor or freshness. We tried a few items from the menu, hoping it would improve, but everything tasted the same: dull and uninspired. It felt like they were just going through the motions, with no attention to quality or customer satisfaction.
Overall Impression:
I have traveled extensively around the world and stayed in a wide range of hotels — from budget to luxury — and I have rarely encountered this level of dishonesty and poor service. Chitwan Green Park may have a decent appearance on the outside, but beneath the surface, it’s a place that misleads its guests, overcharges them, and fails to deliver on even the most basic hospitality standards.
Final Verdict:
This hotel is not worth the money, and I would not recommend it to other travelers. There are many better, more honest places to stay in Chitwan. Be very cautious if you do decide to book here — always confirm everything in writing, and don’t expect much in terms of comfort, cleanliness, or food quality.
