We stayed at Green Park Resort in Chitwan and overall had a great experience, especially with the activities and guiding. The front desk personnel felt a bit transactional compared to the warmth we experienced elsewhere in Nepal, but the staff member who coordinated the programs—and especially Ravi—were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in our stay. The resort arranged a guide for us named Hem, who accompanied us for bird watching and both of our safaris. He was fantastic. With his biologist background, he had deep knowledge of the local plants and wildlife, and he could spot and identify birds before we even realized they were there. He made sure we saw and learned as much as possible about Chitwan’s flora and fauna. Highly recommend requesting him as your guide. The buffet food was consistently good, and the dining staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. The bar staff were also welcoming and present without being intrusive, letting us enjoy quiet conversation. Our room was huge and included an exterior balcony overlooking agricultural land—great for bird watching right from the room. Everything was clean, the beds were firm but comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. One item to note: removing the key card when leaving turns off all power to the room, including the bathroom fan. If you shower in the morning and leave for the day, you may return to a musty room even with the patio door left open. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Green Park Resort, especially for travelers flying in, as the drive from Kathmandu is long and quite bumpy.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The landscaping is beautiful and we are able to observed local farmers tending to their fields from our windows. The entire trip was meticulously organized, ensuring we had maximum fun while gaining deep insight into the local ecosystem. We loved the sunset wallk, sunrise canoe ride and the quiet jungle walks, which allowed us to immerse ourselves completely in the nature of Chitwan National Park. While the resort itself is exceptional, the true heart of our educational experience was our guide, Binod. He is simply an outstanding professional. Binod’s knowledge of the local environment is truly encyclopedic—not just the "big five," but the intricate details of the park's biodiversity. During our walks and drives, he brought the jungle to life, patiently pointing out exotic bird species and explaining the medicinal properties of various plants and trees. His expertise turned every activity into a fascinating field lesson. It was clear that his passion for the region's flora and fauna is genuine, making our tours truly educational and engaging.

I took the 2 night package and the resort didn't disappoint. Everything about the place was wonderful. Between the excursions there is enough down time to enjoy the resort, the pool and the bar. As part of the package all 3 meals are included along with a private guide. |The staff, in particular Pradip at reception were just wonderful, as was our guide Rabi. I highly recommend this hotel, the staff are so welcoming.

Beautiful place. I went there with my family during off season, so we were the only customer in our resort, but the service was still top notch. The food was chef's kiss. Everybody received us with good behavior and utmost hospitality. We couldn't ask for more. Perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Bhuwan guide review|Green Park Resort in the area of Chitwan National Park, Nepal, is a gem of a hotel/resort which captures the essence of a forest while providing excellent amenities to its guests. The grounds boast lush gardens with a profusion of flowering plants and trees native to the region, and a small open-air swimming pool.|We were a group of (10) travellers from Spain and (1) tour guide at Green Park Resort for 2 nights in early November and had all 3 daily meals at the resort. The hotel had a different set of dishes (Nepali and European) for each buffet-style lunch and dinner. The staff throughout the resort were attentive and helpful without being obsequious.|In particular, I wish to recommended our knowledgeable and respectful guide, Bhuwan Pokhrel, who guided us for over 2 days — canoe ride on River Rapti, safari trip through Chitwan National Park, trip to an elephant breeding and training centre, walk through 2 local villages, including Sahaura.|He showed us several indigenous birds and carried a bird-identification guidebook to give us the zoological names. I learnt about several native plants and their medicinal properties and trees used for making furniture and home doors and windows.|Bhuwan is knowledgeable, speaks clearly and has a lot of patience. His pride in his country and its traditions shines through in his work as a guide.
