I visited this hotel and stayed in one of the appartment behind the hotel in connection with a conference. The price for the rooms and appartments - even with the reduced conference price - was pretty high for Bornholm in the spring. Unfortunately, this created some expectations that were not fullfilled. ||Firstly, this hotel is supposed to be environmentally friendly. I missed a number of things, such as recycling and collection of paper, plastic, cans, organic etc., which I practice at home and which I have seen to a much larger extent in hotels in Copenhagen, Canada and Germany - even in hotels that do not have a distinct "green profile". "Organic food" is also not an unique selling proposition anymore and seen many places. I also missed a charger for electric cars - seen many places outside Bornholm. Maybe the architecture is special and modern for Bornholm, but I have seen more interesting hotels as a frequent traveler to other countries (especially within this price range).||Secondly, I got the impression that not all the employees had the same degree of professionalism. Some were very service-minded and friendly - especially the front desk staff. On the other hand, the people in the restaurant seemed inexperienced. We were a large group and it seemed as if they had a hard time to handle this, e.g. when we came too early for lunch one day. They kept us waiting in front of the restaurant until they were ready. During the evening dinner, the people in the kitchen were joking and laughing during the speeches, making it very hard to hear those, when placed near the kitchen. The food was not exceptional and the chicken was dry and the vegetables cold.||So somewhat to pretentious and definitely room for improvement - especially when targetting international travellers and larger conferences. The friendly front desk employees are responsible for the third star - otherwise it would only have been two.
