Have you ever been around people who are loud and not as funny, engaging, or inclusive as they think they are? Have you ever been in a space where, no mater where you stand, you feel like you're in the way?
Yeah. I have.
So I've been curious about this place for a while. Their sign out front brags that they have been voted best hamburgers, which, I'm not really into hamburgers per se, but that's beside the point.
So, I pop in and my first impression is how much smaller it is on the inside than it appears to be on the outside. There are booths, and a large bar, no outdoor dining.
I study the to go menu. Some things look intriguing, like the quesadilla (minus black bean salsa; ew!) and the BLT. But I already have a huge subway sandwich from Publix, so I opt to try the fries.
I order, I go to the ladies room to wash my hands, and I come back out and wait. And wait. And wait.
The lady I ordered from -- I kept an eye on her because I figured she'd be looking for me -- gave a wtf look before she saw me and screamed "Oh, there you are!"
Um. I've been standing here. And what's with the wtf face?!
My immediate concern was: are the fries still hot, and she said yes. And, they were.
So, if there is a next time, I'll take a booth for some space and ambiance. Because I'm not feeling the energy there so far.
The fries are delicious, very salty just like I like, and the house made ketchup is very good, too. It has a spice to it that I like.
So basically, my displeasure is because of the staff. Please don't act like you're the stars and I'm an extra. That's no way to encourage a new person to return. Do better, calm down, slow down, and humble yourselves. You're not the Ritz Carlton, LOL.
