"Greene’s Fine Foods is a gem for candy lovers of all ages. Located in an old marble building, the grandiose vibe continues inside where the counters are lined with oversized jars of sour and fruit flavored gummies and the display windows frame tons of assorted nuts and chocolates. The offerings are labeled with pricing by the pound which is great when you just want a small amount of many different items. Don’t overlook the giant arrow on the wall that points you through a narrow hallway where you’ll find refillable beer growlers for sale." - Staci Janik

Probably the best candy store in Atlanta. Very spacious and lots of parking. Everything is so well organized and they make their own fresh fudge right there and you can see the making it. They have lots of fudge flavors and toppings. They have a range of different toys and gifts for children and families. They have bathrooms on site for customers which is very convenient when you have kids and have attached a photo where you can see they've also got a diaper changer station. Since they're in downtown Decatur, they are easy to get to from Marta because you can get there easily from the Decatur station. They also have a range of ice cream flavors.

Lovely spot with cutesy gifts. Nostalgic finds and delicious treats. Friendly and helpful staff. Great spot!

Google
Super cute candy/gift shop with lots to choose from. They make their fudge in shop for $16 per pound. Most things range from $17-21 per pound. I picked up some coconut chocolate clusters (haystacks), chocolate covered gummy bears, carmel pecan clusters, and a white chocolate covered nutter butter. I spent about $20 for about a quarter pound of each of my selections. A good place to pick up local treats for out of town guests.

Everything you want and hope for in a candy and sweet shop. So many options, gift ideas and more. Friendly and welcoming staff. The young man explained shipping gifts and customizing tins. The cinnamon pecans and chocolate peanut butter fudge, sooo yummy!

The deluxe blend is awesome. I love nuts. This is a good place to purchase fresh nuts.

Google
A great shop carrying food, gift items, toys for kids, scented candles, teas, candies, decadent fudge, etc. Went in to get gifts of Georgia pecans. Nicely portioned in 1-lb and 1/2-lb bags with a pretty dark green ribbon. They also carry cheese straws made in Columbus, GA. The staff were super nice and helpful, and the shelves were well stocked. Located in the old post office, they have ample parking in the back.

Google
I found this place by accident and I’m glad I walked in. They have a wide variety of tasty little confections and wonderful service. My favorite (pictured - please excuse the bite I took out of it) is the chocolate-covered Oreo with peanut butter filling. The next time I’m in the Atlanta area I will certainly pay another visit!

Google
This seemed like a great place. I actually just went there because I discovered they carry Trapp candles, which are the most fabulous candles! But was able to look around while I was there and they had some fabulous looking fudge and other edibles. Did pick up some dog biscuits and the dogs definitely approved! So I'll be going back for sure!!

Yelp
I really like this place, and it's a shame that it took me this long to stop in. located right outside of the main drag of downtown decatur shops is Greene's fine foods. Inside you can find good home-made chocolates, nuts, toys and knick knacks. I wish I had stopped by during christmas time, there where plenty of items in here that would have made great presents for friends and family. Such a cute place, I know I said this would be a good Christmas place to shop, but i won't be able to wait that long, i'll stop in from time to time to get stuff here and there before Christmas.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place!!!! Anytime I'm in the downtown Decatur area, I have no choice but to stop by and grab some delicious, fresh sweet treats. The staff are always super helpful and kind and might even let you try a sample of something. Some of my favorites are the cinnamon spiced pecans, yogurt covered pretzels, chocolate covered raisins...I mean those three alone bring me so much joy. They also have all sorts of cool toys for kiddos as well as some toys that bring back childhood memories. If you have a taste for a sweet treat, stop in!

Yelp
This place deserves 10 stars! I just picked up a special order for my wedding and they are absolutely perfect! They are packaged just right and I know my guest will enjoy a little something from Georgia! Thank so much for the fantastic customer service as well!

Stacey L.

Yelp
The chocolate here is HOMEMADE. It's high quality and I especially love the milk chocolate Buckeyes, the peanut butter cups and covered rice crispy treats. I also recommend the assorted pecan bag. The spicy pecans are pretty amazing especially mixed with sweet ones. It's not cheap here but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended for a treat or gift. Bonus, everyone who works here is thoughtful and friendly.

Yelp
This is more than just a candy store, it is a local foods, craft toy store, and craft beer store. It is essentially an all around perfect place to get gifts, nifty foods, or just a unique local cultural experience. The people working their are all super helpful and have lots of great suggestions. Think of this as a place with a little bit of everything, and not a whole lot of everything!

Yelp
Where else can you walk in for handmade candy and walk out with a boomerang? Greene's Fine Foods is a sweets shop is located about a block from the MARTA stop in downtown Decatur. It's in an old, marble Art Deco building that looks like it used to be a bank or post office. The accents of candy apple green inside make it look more like a candy store. They have a diverse selection of loose and pre-packaged candies, to name a few: Chocolate covered--pecans/ malted milk balls/ Rice Krispies treats/ marshmallows/ apricots Fudge--chocolate/ red velvet/ salted caramel/ birthday cake/ dried cherry & almond Fruit candies--gummies (sweet & sour)/ licorice/ swirl lollipops/ red velvet cherries Beyond candy, they have specialty nuts, ice cream and children's toys. Many of the toys are marked with "Made in USA" and they are unique--the kind of toys that are fun but sneakily educational too. I saw four different types of boomerangs (for righties and southpaws), a crystal growing kit, an ant farm and more. To me the coolest was the candy kaleidoscope, letting children create colorful and edible images. I liked that a lot of the candy was labeled with the price per pound. That way I could estimate how things would cost before I got to the register. I ended up buying chocolate covered pecans, fudge bites (red velvet, cookie dough and salted caramel) a bottle of ginger infused honey and two boomerangs. A bit expensive but worthwhile for the quality; all of the chocolates were scrumptious. Greene's Fine Foods is gem for children's gifts and treats for candy lovers of all ages.

Yelp
This is such a neighborhood gem in Decatur square! Delicious homemade chocolate truffles? CHECK! Tasty and freshly made fudge in a lot of varieties? CHECK! Classic and fun toys for kids of all ages? CHECK! All of the above wrapped up in pretty little packages perfect for gifting? CHECK and CHECK! BONUS: There is a wonderful little area for adults in the back that serves boozy yummy drinks as well! Who knew?!? BONUS #2: All of this comes in a beautiful marblesque white building in Decatur square that somehow manages to offer plenty of free parking in the back! BONUS #3: Finally, see attached pic for my favorite thing from this place, Stripling's General Store Beef Jerky. This is a local to Georgia beef jerky that is absolutely delicious! I always spring for the hot variety. It has no added sugar in it so it's actually spicy unlike most which have a sweet spicy thing going. Also, the thing that sets it apart from other jerkys is that - unlike the thin hard dry jerkys that you're used to - this jerky is very soft moist and tenderized with papain (raw papaya extract). Highly recommended.

Yelp
Good location + fantastic candy + friendly service = where'd my money go??? That about sums up Greene's. Greene's is anything but green behind their proverbial ears. I've been going here since 2009 and it's a candy lover's dream. Ended up getting chocolate covered strawberries, just a couple, and wow, very good! I couldn't leave without a fist full of sour gummy worms and fudge. Very nice store inside, although the exterior doesn't scream candy! Beyond that, very friendly customer service and a good location, right across the street from Twains. If you're in Decatur, it's not to be missed.

Yelp
Preparing for a jaunt up north, I wanted to bring a slice of Georgia as gifts and was seeking an appropriate shop where I could make delightfully local present purchases. Greene's showed real promise in that regard. The parking lot was a tad tricky. You have to enter on Church Street and leave onto Trinity Place. It was cool to wander around in the rooms. Beer and candy aren't a combo you'll find often but I guess there's something for everyone. The guy and gal working that evening were both very nice and patient as we browsed for a long long time. Hey, picking out the right gifts takes time. I wanted to gobble down everything in sight but refrained since I had to focus on the task at hand. Thankfully Greene's allows you to sample the candies since who wants to buy an ill-tasting present? I ended up leaving with praline pecans, pimento cheese straws, and dark chocolate covered pecans. The labels with "Decatur, GA" printed on them certainly attracted attention from the recipients. If you like pecans, you're in luck here. They've got all sorts: chocolate, spicy, sweet, alcoholic. The treats were a tiny bit expensive, but they were of good quality. Thanks Greene's Fine Foods, for making me a hit with my Yankee friends!

Yelp
The 2 guys that work there are always so nice and friendly. Me and my daughter get the butterflies army men and the mango gummies. When I work in the area I always have to stop by

Jon D.

Yelp
These guys were super helpful on a last minute Halloween run! Will be back to check out their games and candy!

Nikki K.

Yelp
This is a really cute shop! It's especially great for those of us in the neighborhood who might need to pick up something like a present for a kid's party. They have lots of unique toys, and some old school ones as well. The candy/sweets selection is varied and definitely worth a peek if you're into that kind of stuff and in the area.

Lindsay W.

Yelp
So, I go here a lot more than I would like to admit. This is a cool candy shop, toy store, and brewery all in one. Oh, and an ice cream parlor. The staff is super nice and it is a cool spot. My only concern is that it is never busy, which I do not quite understand. What happens to the candy if it sits too long? The growler room in the back is pretty cool. I just wish I could drink my beer and eat some amazing gummies at the same time.

Tracie J.

Yelp
3.5 stars I love the variety of candies and delights at Greene's. My favorites are the chocolate covered cashews and pecans. I also enjoy their mixed nuts, but the price is a bit steep. So I don't get them often. I want to try more things but I can't tear myself away from the chocolate covered nuts. I've sampled the fudge and it is very tasty. Once they have a flavor that I really want, I'll branch out and buy some.

Karen B.

Yelp
I LOVE this place and I hope it never goes away! The food, drinks, chocolate/candy probably over 200 variations/kinds are both hand dipped and homemade or retro candy and new candy options that are popular. Try the chocolate dipped Ruffles potato chips and you'll quit Weight Watchers! The cards and gifts for kids and adults are out of this world. Our latest purchase was a game of Bashminton! A cool new way to play tennis outside keeping the birdie (that has 14 bouncy tips around the ball) in the air. If you want to get an unforgettable gift for anyone you won't leave without something for yourself because this place is the Decatur Square's Willy Wonka Factory. Now, in response to the sour person that said parking is a problem or it's hard to get to?! Get real and read some signs! It has a huge parking area, you just have to use the driveway that says in and when you leave...OUT. I'm sorry to Green's for this banter. Go check it out and have fun!

Meg C.

Yelp
I don't have much to say about Greene's, possibly because I'm too busy stuffing my mouth with their delicious candy! Pretty much everything they do is fantastic, and I have no end of present supply as long as they are here-- who doesn't love giving locally made candy as a gift? Chic and sweet all at once! The staff is super helpful and nice every time I go in, and I always leave with a little extra for myself! I've always been a fan of YDFM's candy, but Greene's is even closer and has certainly given them a run for their money. And, as Eric mentioned, the ice cream is pretty great!

Leonard H.

Yelp
We went to Greene's last night and it's a beautiful store with lots of yummy looking things. Unfortunately, the staff is completely unfriendly which ruined the whole experience. When we walked in the door one of the staff members shot us a nasty look because apparently she had just finished cleaning the display case and thought my 18 month old might touch it. Neither of staff members even said a word to us even though we were almost the only customers in the place. The only word uttered was "uh huh" when my wife asked if the cookies were good. To top it off, the pralines and cream ice cream i purchased tasted freezer burned. I tossed it in the trash as we walked away, never to return.....

Carrie B.

Yelp
Could have used a few more Georgia-y things, but the pecans are outstanding and everyone here is super helpful. The staff when I went couldn't have been nicer and they split the bags up the way I needed them for little gifts. There are lots of toys and things at the front of the shop. Seems like they could cut down on that and bring in a little bit of an Atlanta/Georgia souvenir-type feel, but not my store ;). Other than the pecans, which there are tons of varieties of from the family's local (Augusta-area) pecan orchard, there are peach slices and gummy rings, but that's about where the Georgia stops. There's a great variety of candies, nuts and chocolates, including a fudge bar at the front and frozen yogurt/ice cream. Almost forgot to mention that they now have beer, growlers to be exact and wine. I had been wanting to go to this place for years and years, glad I finally went in. Will certainly return.

Amy H.

Yelp
Ooooh...myyyyy.... The chocolate at Greene's is delicious! I love their triple dipped malted milk balls and fresh buckeyes (which I haven't seen since I lived in Michigan!) They have a great selection of fudge and a decent little ice cream counter. This is always a nice stop when wandering around Decatur.

Abhi K.

Yelp
This place is definitely overpriced, but I guess they can afford to charge what they do because Decatur has a wealth(ier) clientele. And I have to admit that their chocolate tasted pretty darn good. The thing I was not impressed with was their selection of candy. A lot of those things looked like you might be able to find them in a grocery store... I wish they had more unique products.

Hiro T.

Yelp
They sell and fill growlers...is there really more to say? They also have a pretty amazing array of pecans and fudge. This place is absolutely amazing! It's like a toy/candy store for grown ups!

Susan M.

Yelp
RIP OFF. Can't understand how they stay in business, I've been in maybe 3 times and each time I'm amazed at how high their prices are. Today I paid for an adult scoop of ice cream and it was tinier than the child's scoop! I'll stick to Brewster's!

Karen S.

Yelp
I love this place. I was all poised to complain about the staff. But upon my last visit the girl who usually pretty much has a "oh gawd this is the last place I want to be" attitude was actually really bubbly and nice! I was shocked, she was definitely having a good day and that is a great example of how the staff of a candy store can make it or break it. When you go into a place where you are surrounded by candy and toys you want to be greeted with friendly staff. But what Greene's lacks in that department is definitely made up by the salted caramels and oh so yummy candy selection and they have great selection of unique toys it's a huge treat for adults and children alike!

Margaret L.

Yelp
Lots of pecans, beautiful truffles, chocolate covered everything, FUDGE, and more. I was just there for candy today (mothers day gift) but I'll be back to check out the growler/beer situation! They also have gifts but mostly little kid toys fyi.

Savannah G.

Yelp
Great mom and pop candy store with seasonal sweet tooth favorites! Very calm yet fun atmosphere. During the summer they also have ice cream and frozen yogurt. In the winter time the have featured candied and caramel apples and fudge. As well as a variety of season round candies and sweets. This shop is within a short walking distance from Decatur square however parking is a bit difficult. So long as your car is alright parking on hills and weird angles you'll be fine. A great must visit Atlanta establishment!

Mizz W.

Yelp
The food was good and the staff was nice. It was very nice place yes I would return again. The nuts were fresh and Ice cream was good alot of the stuff is homemade

Lori H.

Yelp
Greene's has delicious nuts and candy, and is a great place for children's birthday parties. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the space is nice (fireplace, places for parents to sit away from the sugary kid frenzy!).

Emily C.

Yelp
We hosted my daughter's birthday party here this past weekend, and it was fantastic! The kids had a great time making candy, and the staff was exceptional. I literally cannot say enough good things about how the party was managed! Great store, great team!!

S H.

Yelp
This place is. Great and unique. Good assortment of beer and gifts. But what do I come here for! THE ICE CREAM!!! It is so good. My wife loves the banana pudding. I love the mocha almond fudge or coffee almond fudge. It needs to be on tap at all times!

Rick C.

Yelp
Greene's is one of the great independent businesses in metro-Atlanta. How can you go wrong with beer, candy, and cool retro toys? The chocolate-covered Oreo is quite possibly the greatest thing ever.

Liz M.

Yelp
Lousy discourteous service!! The only thing worst than being overlooked by a store clerk is being disrespected when you ask for their help. I have supported Greene"s since they opened and have on occasion been treated in a less than friendly manner. I always thought their flavored pecans were worth it. This afternoon the blond behind the counter proved me wrong.

Alice B.

Yelp
So, maybe I should have assumed they would be closed today. However, I went to their website and saw nothing. So, we drove 40 minutes out of the way only to be met by a closed store. VERY UNHAPPY as we were visiting over the holidays and I was hoping to bring our neighbors home some Georgia Pecans. Their holiday hours SHOULD have been posted on their site, not just on their door!

Andrew W.

Yelp
a bit of a disappointment. for the price point, the candy was not fresh at all. as a matter of fact, it was shockingly stale. and don't expect any heat from the jalapeno fudge.
