Perfect place for solo backpackers, very nice set up in a super neighborhood :) Awesome kitchen where you can make your own which is a plus if you or on the long road and shower is finally hot!! It's a place where you can meet other travellers from all around the world!

Our experience in this hostel was amazing 😍 All the staff are really helpful, and especially Diego! He will help you with everything you need and was so sweet during everything. We got food poisoning at the end of our stay(not from greenhouse) and it was no problem to extend our stay and they were so helpful with everything! Would recommend 10/10!!

I would go there for the kitchen who is great The breakfast is not amazing, sometimes you have eggs but it’s random 🤷‍♀️ otherwise it’s just bread and jam They’re more volunteers than guest when I was there. They are nice but a bit intrusive sometimes Location is great Facilities are basic, ok for the price

Do not believe any of the 5 star reviews they are all fake the owner is buying massive amounts of fake reviews sort by lowest ratings reviews first to see the real ones this place is old dirty and unorganised with a greedy and unfriendly owner who spends his money for fake reviews instead of fixing his old/broken hostel (believe me I worked here) If all the fake reviews where to be deleted this place real rating would be about 1-2 stars max Stay away

Me and my girlfriend spend four nights at this hostel. Really friendly atmosphere and the staff was always super helpful. We spend the first nights in a shared room, and then asked if we could get a private. It was quickly arranged, and the last nights we had the room with balcony. The staff helped us with our credit card issues, bookings, tours and other questions. And all this for a very good price. I would really recommend this hostel.

The A+++ insights from staff about what to do in La Paz and how to plan my trip in Bolivia totally transformed my trip. They pointed me towards the feria in El Alto, Cholitas Luchando, mountain biking death road, and pointed me towards great contacts for Copacabana and Uyuni. The kitchen was awesome, beds super cozy, bathrooms really clean, and the company was great. Super affordable. The location is little far from most of the tourist-y downtown museum stuff one might want to do, but its only a 20/25 minute walk to get there, and its also super close to a cable car station.

Pros - The rooms are nice. Close to the cable cars which was also fun :) the price is also quite reasonable compared to other hostels in La Paz. Cons - the breakfast is one of the most limited I’ve seen traveling so far, 2 pieces of bread + butter + a glass of juice, with strictly no allowance to extra bread and a requirement to clean up after yourself. The WiFi works significantly less well than other places I’ve stayed in La Paz. The bathrooms are not very clean, and getting hot shower is difficult. I don’t like that they give guests 5% off if they leave a review: It artificially makes the reviews much better than they should be as you wouldn’t be confit table leaving a poor review and showing it to them. PS - as with other non 5 star reviews the response from the owners is very aggressive and showcases the way they see their customers as wealthy and spoilt. Definitely would never expect a ritz experience from a Hostel, and was only comparing this to other stays in La Paz.

My partner and I stayed at Greenhouse hostel for two nights at the beginning of our South America travels. We were greeted by the smiling faces of Tito & Adrianno who made us feel immediately welcome in La Paz. They were so helpful and informative and offered tours, food recommendations and were generally great company! The hostel itself is very beautiful with murals everywhere. The breakfast was delicious and it was a lovely social time to meet everyone else staying in the hostel. The place was clean and tidy and our private room was quiet.|The best part about Greenhouse Hostel is definitely the staff, who helped cure our altitude sickness and made us feel at home!
