An essential guide to Songkran and where to celebrate it in Singapore - SilverKris

"The hotel’s all-day dining venue that, during Songkran, features the chef’s Signature Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao — a rich, homemade curry-broth spicy pork noodle dish — as part of special festival offerings." - Nick Measures and Joy Fang

It was our first time dining here, as we chose this place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, the overall experience turned out to be quite disappointing and fell short of expectations. The variety of dishes offered was rather limited, and many trays were left empty for a long time without being replenished. Most dishes tasted average at best, lacking the freshness and flavor one would expect from a restaurant in this price range. One particular dish — the braised chicken — was especially poor, as it was so overcooked and tough that it was almost inedible. We had also indicated in advance that it was a birthday celebration, but there was no gesture or effort made to acknowledge the occasion. At restaurants of this price point, it’s usually quite standard to offer at least a small slice of cake or a simple surprise to make the celebration more memorable. Unfortunately, that thoughtful touch was completely missing here. Considering the pricing, we expected better food quality, faster replenishment. Sadly, the experience felt more like a basic buffet than a premium dining experience. The only saving grace was the interior decor — the place is beautifully designed with a pleasant and cozy ambiance that gives a good first impression. However, the atmosphere alone is not enough to make up for the shortcomings in food, service, and overall value. Overall, it was a disappointing visit for what was meant to be a special occasion, and we would not recommend this place to others seeking good food, service, or value for money.

"Food heaven alert! 🍴🔥 I stumbled upon this gem and it's been a game-changer. The buffet spread is incredible - endless options, top-notch quality, and presentation that's almost too pretty to eat. Almost. 🍴👌 From succulent seafood to mouth-watering BBQ, every dish is a flavor explosion. The chefs clearly take pride in their craft, and it shows. 👏 Plus, the ambience is warm and inviting, making it perfect for family gatherings or a night out with friends. Value for money? Absolutely! The price is super reasonable considering the sheer variety and quantity. I've been back thrice already, and can't wait to dig in again. 🤑👍 5 stars, hands down! If you haven't tried it yet, RUN (don't walk) to this buffet haven. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you. 😋👌"

Went to the greenhouse for their buffet coz there was a 30% discount on Eatigo. Upon entering, we were greeted by the hostess, Maureen very warmly and she also informed me that they had prepared something for our anniversary we were celebrating. Had forgotten up till the point she mentioned it that I had put a note in my reservation. Wasn't really expecting anything. The food was normal, nothing much ro shout about, with the exception of their Thai kitchen. I loved their shrimp fried rice and the chicken pad krapow. The former looked like a simple dish, but packed a crazy amount of flavour and the latter tasted like the ones I had in Thailand, unassuming but absolutely delicious. Also had a good variety of desserts and they had some nostalgic biscuits that was so good. Service was on point, friendly staff, dishes cleared almost immediately by staff Nia, always with a smile on her face. Maureen served us the cake and also offered to help us take pictures. Really appreciate how sweet she was. We did have to ask to get the cake to go as were were extremely stuffed by then. Angelo (i do hope i got his name right) was super helpful and polite when we made the request even though he was busy helping another table. We did have the cake the next day and it was so so good! Really grateful for the surprise. Overall, we'd probably go back for the service and most definitely the Thai food.

Visited Greenhouse @Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore last year for a enjoyable Winter Solstice Dinner. There was quite a large selection of food at the buffet. There were some hits and misses but generally the food at the Thai selection was better, I liked the prawn cakes and the wok fried lobsters. Ambience is quite quiet and cosy and the layout of the place and the buffet line was spacious and comfortable. The dessert section was decorated beautifully but the selection of desserts were rather limited and the taste weren't very remarkable. Overall still a great place to have a leisurely meal with a large selection of food, especially when they have discounts.

Hi Green House team, we really enjoy your ambience and food — it’s our regular dinner spot! Our favourites are the Satay and Char Kway Teow. Just a few quick feedback points to help improve: 1. Mee Goreng – The taste has improved a lot compared to before (thank you!), but it’s still not very value-for-money as there are too few ingredients compared to the Char Kway Teow. 2. Mango Sticky Rice – Used to be excellent with generous mango and 3-colour sticky rice. Now the portion is small, rice is hard, and mango less generous — hope you can bring back the old version. 3. Mango Smoothie – The ice wasn’t fully blended and mango flavour quite weak this time. We really like your restaurant and have even recommended it to friends and family. But if the standard continues to drop, it’ll be hard for us to keep recommending it in future. We hope this feedback helps and we do want to keep coming back!

Went for weekend lunch buffet on 23 Aug. As there is no crowd at all, there is not much food variety as indicated on their menu online. However in terms of taste, the food is good, especially the thai food. There are 5 live counters namely chinese, western, indian, thai and japanese with a 6th counter for desserts. Actually i was quite looking forward to try out the thai desserts but was disappointed when there wasn't any on the day. Hope the restaurant can improve on this as the items are indicated on their online menu. Looking forward to try out their breakfast buffet soon

13 june, dinner buffet came here today for an early father’s day as well as a birthday celebration for my grandma! we’ve been here a couple of times before and we love the ambience of greenhouse and the wide selection of delicious international cuisine. they also have an assortment of cakes and desserts!! we enjoyed the spread as usual, just that it was quite difficult to extract the crab meat from the chilli crabs which could say something about its freshness. the music from the live band was lovely and we appreciate the chocolate thai tea cake given to my grandma!! i would also like to give a special mention to Maureen who delivered exceptional service throughout our meal :)

We had the opportunity to have a great spread here.. Despite being wide on choices and varieties, the place is not halal. It would be the perfect place to dine and have great views here. Especially with the greenhouse located beside the golf course, we actually had a peaceful time having lunch. Lets dive in! Food: Choices were plenty, from sushi, to salad, to indian cuisine to western and more.. definitely more... 🥳🥳.. just that if it was halal certified, it would be superb! And that would definitely be the 5 stars. Side note, pls dont misunderstand. 4 here is actually great, but were limited with the choices. Service: Staff were on smiles mode but at the same time professional at their jobs. Mixed of young and senior staff, which complement working conditions. Atmosphere: Oh my, this would be at the top of list if its halal.. the view, the seating area and everything else fell into place. We loved the arrangement of how buffet spread was totally separated and allowed us to explore each different location. Do note, they even have a ramp for less abled body. Great layout and plans.. If this is halal, we will definitely recommend to all our muslim friends, but not now perhaps. For non muslim friends, this is a great place to chill and unwind. Jz becareful driving in/out yeah. Cheers!
