As a north-easterner for the past two decades, I have always passed by this place but did not visit it until a dinner invite yesterday.
We order 6 dishes for 7 people - longevity noodles, "fish maw" soup, yam ring, "fish", "satay" and tofu with mushroom and dou miao. Everything was pretty light tasting which suited my palate except for the "fish", which had both seaweed and an overly salty gravy. The chef could have a lighter hand with the seasoning.
On the contrary to the previous review, we received good service from the waitresses at this vegetarian restaurant. They were really nice with our birthday cake that we brought over. The waitresses also let on that they brew their chrysanthemum tea with pandan leaves to impart its aromatics and enhance the taste of the drink.
The meal was on a slightly expensive side, costing about $140.
